Trivia / One Piece Stampede

  • Approval of God: Director Takashi Otsuka was impressed with Funimation's English dub of the film.
  • Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.":
    • Ann (The poofy green haired girl on the poster) actually showed up first in a live action show for a One Piece expo at Tokyo Tower in 2018. So naturally for those that likely never went to that, this film will mark her animated debut.
    • The English dub marks the first appearance of "Big News" Morgans, before the dub has reached the Whole Cake Island arc.
    • While he only briefly appears for one of Nami's attacks, it also marks Zeus's first appearence in the dub, again before Whole Cake Island.
    • The Italian dub marks the first appearance of a lot of characters, since the Italian dub was stopped after the Fishman Island arc.
  • Milestone Celebration: Released in celebration of the anime's 20th anniversary. Reportedly Oda refused to write it if it didn't.
  • No Export for You: The film has not been exported to South Korea, most likely due to the anti-Japanese protests that occurred over there in July of 2019.
  • The Original Darrin: A weird case for the Italian dub of the movie. The DVD/Blu-Ray release features two different audio tracks: one (which is the one that was first released in cinemas) has Luffy voiced by his current voice actor Renato Novara, while the other instead has him voiced by Luigi Rosa, his original voice actor that was dropped from the show during the Enies Lobby arc.
    • The Italian dub also features the return of Stefano Albertini as Crocodile, voicing the character for the first time since the Alabasta arc.
  • The Other Darrin:
    • This film marks the debut of at least four new (English) voice actors for the characters:
      • Chris Rager officially took over as Blackbeard after Cole Brown's death in 2016.
      • Johnny Yong Bosch replaced Vic Mignogna as Sabo due to the latter's 2019 termination from Funimation.
      • Philip Weber succeeded the late Ed Blaylock as Sengoku.
      • For reasons unknown, Hina was voiced by Rachael Messer instead of Jennifer Seman.
    • In the Italian dub:
      • Daniele Demma, Brook's original voice actor, died after a serious illness on November 6, 2017. Alessandro Zurla replaced him.
      • Jacopo Calatroni voices Sabo instead of Ruggero Andreozzi.
    • In the Latin American Spanish dub:
      • Due to Osvaldo Trejo Rodríguez dying of COVID-19 complications on May 6, 2021, Akainu is now voiced by Mario Castañeda.
      • Sabo was originally voiced by Rodrigo Acevedo in Gold. Beginning with this film, he is voiced by Luis Leonardo Suárez.
  • You Look Familiar:
    • Daman Mills (the English voice of Douglas Bullet) previously voiced Tanaka in One Piece Film: Gold.
    • Chris Rager previously voiced Arlong in Funimation's dub of the TV series before voicing Blackbeard here.
    • Philip Weber (Sengoku's English VA) previously voiced Iceberg in the TV series.
