As Flash struggles to survive in the Null Void, he has an unexpected encounter with Azmuth, the creator of the Omnitrix, and must prove to him that he is capable of using the Omnitrix to defeat Vilgax. Meanwhile, Vilgax continues his invasion of Canterlot, with Flash's friends forced to confront him without Flash, as Vilgax plans his final act of vengeance on the entire planet.
- Bittersweet Ending: Vilgax is defeated, the planet is saved, and Flash has gained more control over the Omnitrix and has unlocked a powerful new form in Way Big. However, his Secret Identity has still been revealed to the whole world, and the chapter ends with Flash needing to deal with the fallout of this, showing that Nothing Is the Same Anymore.
- Change the Uncomfortable Subject: When Azmuth is talking about how Flash apparently has an issue looking at human females in the eye and that he apparently stares at Cadance's chest a lot, he interrupts him before he can finish and asks to just change the subject.
- Chekhov's Gun: While Flash is on Azmuth's ship he sees some data on the To'Kustar species, including its sample number and height data. He ends up obtaining this new alien form himself in the climax thanks to an Omnitrix Access Key that Azmuth gave him.
- Cliffhanger: The chapter and overall season ends with Flash needing to deal with the fallout of his secret being revealed.
- Covert Pervert: Flash is revealed to be one. Despite being a gentleman, hero, and all around Nice Guy, he apparently has a few minor moments of these. He is nervous when he finds out the Omnitrix has recorded everything he's seen since getting it, he's afraid Azmuth might have seen him doing "private things". Azmuth also states that Flash apparently doesn't look females in the eyes much, and he stares at Cadance's chest a lot.
- Don't Think, Feel: This is Azmuth's lesson to Flash for using the Omnitrix. Flash can change alien forms by clearing his mind and imagining the alien he needs at that moment before hitting the Omnitrix symbol again.
- Earth-Shattering Kaboom: Vilgax plans to use a bomb that's powerful enough to destroy the entire continent, and the shockwaves that result from this will also most likely result in the rest of the planet being ripped to pieces.
- Harmless Freezing:
- The Necrofriggian freezes Volt-Edge in a block of ice during Flash's first encounter with the alien criminals. But Volt-Edge easily explodes out of the ice with a burst of lightning.
- Flash manages to freeze Vilgax solid with Arctiguana, but Vilgax quickly busts out after only a few moments.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Before he's thrown into space, Way Big ties Vilgax to his own bomb that he was planning to use to destroy the planet, with Vilgax being consumed in its explosion once its safely off the planet.
- It May Help You on Your Quest: Before Azmuth sends Flash back to Earth, he gives him one final gift, which makes Flash's eyes go wide at the sight of it. Flash reveals that it is an Omnitrix Access Key, and he uses it as his final ace in the hole against Vilgax to unlock Way Big.
- Karmic Jackpot: Flash chooses to save the life of the Opticoid that was trying to kill him earlier and as a result falls just short of completing Azmuth's test within the time limit. Despite this though, Azmuth is impressed by Flash's altruism and decides that he will trust the Omnitrix to Flash.
- Make an Example of Them: Vilgax's pettiness against the Earth for his constant humiliations leads him to try to reclaim his fearful reputation across the universe by making an example of the planet for defying him. He captures as many humans as he can, intending to put them in a People Zoo back on Vilgaxia and plans to set off a bomb that will destroy the entire continent and cause a chain reaction that rips the rest of the planet apart and exterminate all life on it.Adagio: You would destroy this planet, just because we beat you?
Vilgax: This planet is a stain on my reputation. Every time I have come here, I have been met with defeat. There is only one way to reclaim the fear I have throughout the universe and set an example to all those that would dare oppose me. - Mythology Gag:
- Flash's main plot of the chapter of meeting Azmuth in the Null Void and proving to him via a test he is capable of using the Omnitrix effectively is the same as a subplot of Ben 10 Versus the Universe: The Movie.
- The gang of alien criminals that attack Flash in the Null Void include a Loboan, Thep Khufan, and Transylian. These three aliens worked for Zs'Skayr in the original series, and are now working for a Necrofriggian, another ghost-like alien.
- Flash unlocking Way Big in the climax and throwing Vilgax into space like a baseball is just like Way Big's debut in Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix.
- Never Say "Die": When everyone from CHS asks where Flash is, Fluttershy says that he is "gone" before Twilight can say what Vilgax did to him. Everyone who knows Flash gasps, understanding what she means. Though Flash isn't actually dead they have no way of knowing that and have no way of getting him back from the Null Void anyway.
- Oh, Crap!: Vilgax has one when Flash uses an Omnitrix Access Key to unlock the code to become a To'Kustar.
- People Zoo: Vilgax captures as many people from Canterlot as he can, intending to take them back to Vilgaxia and stick them in a zoo, so he can Make an Example of Them to the rest of the universe to show what happens when a planet stands against him.
- Pet the Dog: Although Azmuth planned to take his Omnitrix back from Flash, he was also willing to send Flash to any planet he wanted, so he can start a new life somewhere away from Vilgax.
- Save the Villain: Flash saves the Opticoid alien from being sucked into a vortex in the Null Void after his Necrofriggian friend abandons him. Though after saving him, he uses Arctiguana to freeze him to some rocks, just so he doesn't interfere anymore.
- Say My Name: Vilgax screams "SENTRY!" when Way Big throws him and his bomb into space.
- Season Finale: This acts as the second "season finale" to The Omnitrix Hero.
- Take Me Instead: When Celestia and Luna are captured by Vilgax's drone, Celestia sees another drone has captured some of her students and begs it to at least let the children go and just take them instead. Her pleas go unrecognized though.
- This Cannot Be!: After Flash transforms into Way Big and destroys Vilgax's ship, Vilgax can only say "Impossible," before Flash turns his attention to him.
- Took a Level in Badass: Flash discovers how to swap between alien forms without waiting for the Omnitrix to timeout first. He puts this new ability to good use, managing to fight evenly against Vilgax for a moment before finishing him with Way Big.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Adagio goes off on the Rainbooms for just giving up hope with Flash gone, pointing out they didn't need Flash and his watch to beat her and her sisters, and saying Flash would be ashamed of them if he saw them now.
- You're Insane!: After Vilgax explains how he plans to destroy the Earth for defying him as an example to the rest of the universe, Shining Armor calls him "sick".
