Boo Boots

  • Attention Whore: Boo-Boo and Yogi become these. Boo-Boo is at first ignored outright until he gets a pair of very high gold boots and becomes the center of attention. Yogi, now the one being ignored, counters with a pair of taller red boots, which leads to an Escalating War between the two friends until they are wearing boots so high they are above the clouds.
  • Broken Glass Penalty: Boo-Boo, with his tall boots, unintentionally kicks a soccer ball, breaking a clock tower.
  • Chick Magnet: Boo-Boo becomes one after he wears the boots.
  • Crush Blush: Squiddly Diddly and Bobbie Looey both get one when they see Boo-Boo in his new boots.
  • Dude, Where's My Respect?: Boo Boo begins to notice that many of the tasks he does around his and Yogi's house go unnoticed, and that everyone else seems to ignore him. When Boo-Boo tries to ask Yogi if he notices this too, Yogi drives to work without him.
Boo Boo: Huh. I think I'm sad.
  • Even the Guys Want Him: Wally Gator is also infatuated with Boo-Boo.
  • Forgettable Character: The other characters keep forgetting that Boo-Boo exists.
  • Friendship Moment: When Boo-Boo confesses to Yogi that he felt invisible like a clear glass window as he stated, Yogi tells him that he doesn't think he's invisible and that he's like a stained glass window with all the colors, this makes Boo Boo cry tears of joy, and the two make up and give each other a hug.
  • Fur Is Clothing: Boo Boo, who doesn't wear pants, has his lower body fur pulled down to his ankles as he sits on the toilet.
  • Furry Reminder: Yogi Bear is Not a Morning Person; when Boo-Boo wakes him up in "Boo Boots", he angrily wrecks him and his room much like a wild bear would.
  • Height Angst: Boo-Boo feels sad that he is ignored because he is short.
  • Hot Wind: The wind blowing in Boo-Boo's hair makes him look attractive to Squiddly and Bobbie.
  • Mythology Gag: Yogi mentioned he ended global warming from a flying boat in the 1970s, referring to the Green Aesop special Yogi's Ark Lark.
  • Noodle Incident:
Cindy: Do you have any experience holding a knife?
Boo Boo: Does a machete count?
  • Not a Morning Person: The episode shows that Yogi will go absolutely feral if he is woken up in the morning, forcing Boo Boo to wear padded clothing and a helmet to protect himself from the ensuing assault. Fortunately, Yogi does snap to normal once he has gotten everything out of his system.
  • Swapped Roles: At first, Yogi was popular and Boo-Boo was ignored. Then, Boo-Boo was popular and Yogi was ignored.
  • Values Dissonance: invoked "That was back in the 70s when things of that nature were legal."

My Doggie Dave

  • Bowling for Ratings: Yogi, Boo Boo, and Captain Caveman invite Doggie Daddy to go to an adults-only night at the bowling alley. However, Doggie Daddy is reluctant to leave Augie at home with a babysitter, so he brings her to the bowling alley disguised as a man named Dave. When Augie ends up becoming the most popular member of the group, she gets invited out for numerous other functions, leaving Doggie Daddy completely alone. Doggie Daddy challenges Augie to a game of Hock Mar, which involves bowling through an extreme obstacle course. If he wins, then Augie has to give up her new identity. Doggie Daddy has a big lead, but when his friends call him out for hurting his daughter's new identity, he throws the game so Augie can win.
  • Gone Horribly Right: Doggie Daddy can't handle being away from his daughter for more than a few seconds, so he and Augie create "Dave" to let her in the grown-up nights out. "Dave" ends up being so popular, Augie gets invited out for numerous other functions, leaving Doggie Daddy completely alone.
  • Helicopter Parents: Doggie Daddy was mentally incapable of processing the idea of leaving Augie at home with a babysitter.
  • Instant Wristwatch: Doggie Daddy suddenly gets a wristwatch when he says that it's time for 'Dave' to go to bed.
  • Mythology Gag: When the crazy bowling obstacle course is revealed, a physical Robot Spy serves as an obstacle, along with the mummy from the Jonny Quest episode "The Curse of Anubis", pterosaurs similar to Turu, and the Army Surplus Special.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Augie's mustache somehow fools everyone.
  • Rebus Bubble: The episode has an atypical example in that the equation is also spoken out: Doggie Daddy struggles to interpret what Yogi means when the latter suggests hiring a babysitter for Augie so Doggie Daddy can go bowling with him, Boo Boo, and Captain Caveman. First, he thinks the babysitter comes with him and Augie at bowling (Babysitter + Doggie Daddy + Augie + Bowling), then that he and Augie stay home while the babysitter goes bowling (Home + Doggie Daddy + Augie and Babysitter + Bowling), then that the babysitter stays home while he and Augie go bowling (Home + Babysitter and Doggie Daddy + Augie + Bowling). Boo Boo then enters Doggie Daddy's thought bubble to clear things up (Home + Babysitter + Augie and Doggie Daddy + Bowling).
  • Shout-Out: A joke in the episode has Doggie Daddy do a very Wrath of Khan style scream.
