Muko and Cookie enjoy a night in Tendonchi.

As Muko and Cookie are celebrating a successful day of training, the pair is confronted by Kalita. To their surprise, the vixen has a plan involving a casino and Cookie's bad luck that may help Cookie pay her debts and Kalita get her payment. If things don't go her way, Kalita still has a surprise alternative for Muko and Cookie...

  • Ascended to Carnivorism: Muko is a bunny and Cookie is a squirrel, but both eat barbecue meat in this chapter.
  • Ax-Crazy: The cat lady that fights Kalita gets very bloodthirsty when she's about to use her knife on the vixen. Fortunately, she's taken down in one blow before she can make any damage.
  • Bait-and-Switch: Cookie believes that Muko passes out because of the head injury that Nyarai gave her in Chapter 14. In reality, she was hungry and immediately recovers after eating a barbecue meal.
  • Batman Gambit: Kalita's casino adventure served two purposes regarding Cookie's bad luck. One, if it could be exploited, then all parties could use it to pay her debt. Two, if she loses, then Kalita gets proof that Cookie is unlucky and must therefore become her Combagal to win the prize money, earning enough money to satisfy both parties.
  • Berserk Button: Muko is not happy with Kalita when her scheme caused Cookie to have her debt doubled. She's ready to fight Kalita right then until she passes out from hunger.
  • Beware of Vicious Dog: Freydar is a large dog, with a grudge on Cookie and a strength that matches Donkizari herself.
  • Big Eater: Muko is starving after so much training. She faints from hunger near the end of the episode and only recovers when she eats a lot of barbecue.
  • Casino Episode: Most of the chapter takes place in a casino where Kalita has Muko and Cookie bet with her.
  • Continuity Nod: Muko shows her bunny fetish again.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Kalita gives a One-Hit Kill to a cat lady, showing that armed opponents are no threat to her.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: A bird gambler is too busy staring at Kalita's exposed chest to notice that his date is stealing chips from his pile.
  • Eyes Always Shut: The cat lady who fights Kalita keeps her eyes closed most of the chapter. She only opens them when she's about to fight Kalita and then closes them when she's knocked out.
  • Fan of the Underdog: Mellow, Harry, and Saniko still care about Muko despite her newly ruined reputation.
  • Funny Background Event: A very successful bird gambler looks composed before Kalita arrives, then he's drooling and lusting over her when the vixen unzips her suit to reveal her chest, then he's back to normal when she zips back.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: Cookie complains about this when she gets her debt doubled after losing big time at the casino.
  • Insane Troll Logic: Muko's belief in how they can win against Cookie's bad luck in roulette? Bet on Cookie's number and believe they will win! According to Muko, Cookie always believed that she was going to lose so they must counter by believing they're going to win. Cookie naturally disagrees with that thought.
  • The Jinx: Kalita tries to weaponize Cookie's bad luck to win enough money to pay her debt. Instead, she loses all the money she betted and Cookie ends with double her debt. Fortunately, Kalita just wanted to verify Cookie's bad luck and is going to become a Combagal.
  • Karmic Thief: Kalita steals from the cat lady who stole from her date, justifying it as fair since she stole from a thief.
  • Nerves of Steel: Shun only reacts with a mild Death Glare when Freydar punches a glass wall near his face, showing he's not afraid of her.
  • Never Bring a Knife to a Fist Fight: The cat lady tries to use a knife against Kalita and is taken down in a single blow despite Kalita being unarmed.
  • Pet the Dog: Cookie wants to take Muko to a barbecue as a reward for training hard. Kalita later takes Muko and Cookie there as an apology for the casino incident.
  • Pom-Pom Girl: This is the motif Cookie chose for Muko and Kalita as Combagals. Only Muko is into it while Kalita is embarrassed.
  • Race Fetish: Muko has an attraction to bunnies, as seen when she's attracted to a bunny waitress working at the casino.
  • The Reveal: While Shun was responsible for trying to ruin Muko and Cookie's careers in furry fighting, it wasn't his idea. He was made to do it by Freydar in order to have her remain in his service. Freydar is not happy that Cookie is persisting despite Shun's reassurance and decides to return to get rid of her former mentor.
  • Scenery Porn: The chapter shows Tendonchi at its most beautiful.
  • Stealing from Thieves: This is the reason that Kalita gives to justify fighting and stealing money from an Axe-Crazy cat lady to take her money for a barbecue.
  • The Stinger: Freydar appears, accusing Shun of failing to uphold his promise of preventing Cookie from returning to furry fighting. She decides to return to furry fighting to retire Cookie for good.
  • The Teetotaler: Cookie refuses the alcoholic drinks offered at the casino, clearly remembering how her alcoholism destroyed her bonds with the Cyclone Crushers.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: Kalita's expression is one of dismay and embarrassment when Cookie has her in a picture with Muko as a pair of cheerleader Combagals.
  • Undying Loyalty: Despite her new reputation, Muko still has Saniko, Mellow, and Harry caring about her well-being.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Freydar has had Shun sabotage Cookie's career, not out of revenge, but to prevent her fellow Cyclone Crushers from being hurt by her again.
  • Wham Episode: Kalita agrees to become a Combagal...also, Freydar appears in The Stinger to force Cookie into retirement.
