"Tina-rin! Tina-rin! Tina-rin!"

Gene: At first we thought it was a breakdancing class, then we thought it was a special needs class.
Louise: Now we think it might be a special needs breakdancing class.

Tina falls in love with sexy Capoeira instructor Jairo and joins his class, choosing to focus in it instead of the restaurant and causing troubles on her relationship with Bob.

Sexy Trope Fighting:

  • Berserk Button:
    • Comparing capoeira to jazzercise is this to Jairo, enough for him to resort to physical violence.
    • Jairo himself becomes this to Bob.
  • Book Dumb: At least in terms of capoeira, Tina is only ever able to do one thing (swinging her upper body to the sides, which she does all day long throughout the night) while shutting off all of Jairo's other teachings just to stare at him.
  • Bring Me My Brown Pants: Bob, who'd been putting off going to the bathroom, unloads when he falls down on the floor of the capoeira training class.
  • Calling Your Attacks: Jairo shouts "Ponytail" when he whips someone with his hair.
  • Coming of Age: Teddy believes the "Troca de Cordões" is this.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: In-universe; Linda's friend Ginger lost her cat, but Linda finds the cause of death (which is never disclosed) hilarious.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Bob vs Jairo isn't even close. According to Tina, the latter knocked the former down 25 to 30 times.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Jairo's first attack on Bob is simply because Bob thought capoeira was stupid, and he later goes overboard with knocking down Bob when Bob rightfully calls him out on flunking Tina out of spite.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Eventually, Jairo repeatedly assaulting Bob becomes so mean-spirited that his students stop cheering for him and start rooting for Bob.
  • Humiliation Conga: Poor Bob gets it rough throughout the episode.
  • Hypocrite: Linda tells everybody to not mention what happened to Bob. She then proceeds to do exactly that the instant he appears.
  • I Have No Son!: Played for Laughs: Bob and Tina's argument about capoeira takes on this edge as it gets more heated... only Bob, who clearly has no intention of disowning her, limits himself to just threatening to fire Tina from working as the fry cook if she disobeys him. It then, however, leads to this little moment from Louise:
    [After Tina has stormed out]
Louise: Dad, calm down, I'll go get her. [Opens the door, and proceeds to yell out after her] You get outta here, you hear me?! Never look back! You are dead to us! [Turns back to Bob and Linda] Sorry Dad, there's just no talking with that one.
  • It's All About Me: Played for laughs; Tina calls herself embarrassed when Bob poops himself, completely ignoring that, y'know, Bob pooped himself. Bob lampshades it.
  • Jerkass: Jairo physically assaults Bob just for comparing capoeira to jazzercise, and later flunks Tina just to spite Bob.
  • Jerkass Realization: After yelling with Teddy, Bob realizes he hasn't been in his best behavior lately, which prompts him into going to Tina's class.
  • Karma Houdini: Jairo gets away scot-free for flunking Tina out of petty revenge and physically assaulting Bob twice throughout the episode.
  • Kick the Dog: When he sees Bob in the middle of the Troca de Cordões, Jairo seems to flunk Tina just to spite Bob. As if there was any ambiguity about it, Tina is the only one he flunks, even though Bob points out another student who did way worse than Tina.
  • Long-Haired Pretty Boy: Jairo.
  • Prehensile Hair: Downplayed, but Jairo is capable of using his ponytail as a whip.
  • The Reliable One: Discussed; Bob claims that Tina is this among her siblings, which is why she's the only one trusted near the grill. It's shown why when Gene starts a fire at the grill and Louise is disappointed when Bob extinguishes it.
  • Shower of Angst: Linda implies that this is what Bob is doing after his 4:30 meeting happens during Tina's class.
  • Stock Ninja Weaponry: Louise has cut up Bob's credit card into a ninja star.
  • Suicide Dare: Louise dares Tina to kill herself after the latter lies down on the restaurant floor, depressed about a boy she liked moving away.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Even with the former in Papa Wolf mode, Bob vs Jairo goes about as well as you'd expect from an out-of-shape burger cook going up against a trained capoeira instructor.
  • Title Drop: Bob calls capoeira "Sexy Dance Fighting" when in a fight with Tina.
  • Unfortunate Implications: In-universe; when discussing the Troca de Cordões ceremony, Teddy discovers that it means "exchanging the strands" and notes that it's a momentous occasion in an attempt to persuade Bob to go along, and describes it as her "becoming a woman". He's clearly just generally (if inaccurately) likening it to something like a bat mitzvah ceremony, but unfortunately Bob — already not in the most accommodating frame of mind on the subject — reacts poorly to the unintended paedophilic implications of Teddy putting it this way.
  • Unusual Euphemism: Bob refers to his bowel movements as "meetings".
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: Jairo, who doesn't wear shirts during his class.
