    AI: The Somnium Files
  • The "And now back to..." segment has Nico perform "A.I. The Horny Guy", To the Tune of... Bill Nye the Science Guy. The finale provides visuals to go along with it.
  • When Mizuki states that she's not interested in kissing people, Nico says, "Date's like 'Oh, thank god'." Immediately after that, Date thinks the same thing with the exact same inflection as Nico.
    • Shortly into the next episode, Nico and Date make similar The Internet Is for Porn jokes, greatly unnerving the former and causing him to suspect he's another Uchikoshi character.
Nico!Aiba: Not every man in the world is like you, Nico.
    Nico: OH GOD!
  • Nico decides that the polar bear was the Coca Cola Killer; it would get its vengeance by causing Coca Cola's stocks to plummet and Pepsi to take over.
    • Later on, Nico!Ota's testimony about the polar bear is that Iris was a Coca Cola spokesperson, and the polar bear was tired of working under her and converted to Pepsi. Nico!Date thinks he's talking nonsense and grabs the wok.
    • The polar bear also bleeds Coca-Cola, as seen in Mizuki's route.
    • On the right routes, the polar bear kidnapped Iris during her stream.
  • Nico assumes that Ota is still planning to tase him in the alternate branch of Iris's somnium, so he plans to turn the tables on Ota.
Nico!Ota: Hey, how's it going? I'm just at a Walmart right now. Totally not buying a taser. Nope. Yeah, just hanging out, you know. Anyway, I gotta go. Bye! I'll meet you at the bar later!
Nico!Date: Not this time, asshole. This time, I'm gonna tase you. I know what happened in the other world line.
  • When Date is driving to the hospital to talk to Ota, Nico invents some dialogue in which Date buys a wok and taser for Ota and arrives at the hospital to see Boss smothering him with a pillow. Thus begins the Running Gag of Date and Ota attacking each other with whatever weapons Ota is revealed to have, eventually including the knife and trident.
  • When Nico is listening to Ota's story, he desperately looks for a way to escape before he has to hear the end. Possible escape routes include the doors to the kitchen and the window.
  • After hearing Ota's story, Nico felt like he can't throw him out of a window anymore for feeling for him, so he decided to use the Taxi Driver as a replacement. So what if that was their last lead in the investigation? Nico can make up more leads.
  • Even though Nico finished Ota's Somnium with over 180 seconds left (which is just half the allotted time) en route to Mizuki's ending, the game still treats it as if Date was going over. Nico refuses to take any responsibility for the negative side-effects because of that.
  • Upon hearing Renju's voice, Nico bursts out in laughter and calls this game the bad ending where Dimitri married the wrong woman.
  • Nico declares the joke Atami ending to be the best ending ever. The video is even titled as such, and the thumbnail is Ritsuko's face.
  • Nico can forgive Ota for hiding the knife if he can learn where it came from. He speculates that Ota got it from a large steak that had to be cut with such a knife, and the hospital personnel didn't know it was gone.
  • When Date rescues Mizuki and she starts complaining, Nico considers putting her back in the speaker just before Date puts the tape back on her mouth.
  • Aiba's genius plan about how they should stop So gets a bit out of control.
Aiba: First, throw the metal pipe toward the southwest corner of the room. Then, immediately shoot a spherical bullet at the pipe.
    Nico: Oh my god.
Aiba: No questions, there is no time to explain.
Nico: Am I gonna ricochet this shit off the pipe and it's gonna hit So or some shit? snark
  • Nico suggests giving Mizuki more weight to bench press because it clearly isn't enough for her. Nico!Mizuki says the bar can't handle more weight because it's so cheap.
  • Nico examines a customer at Sunfish Pocket and reads the flavor text out loud. Then he cuts out a bit of footage because every single customer has the same flavor text.
  • When Ota states that he spent 200,000 yen at Sunfish Pocket, Nico freaks out when he finds out that it converts to 20,000 dollars. Then he realizes that he miscalculated, but 2,000 dollars is still a lot.
  • When Boss asks Date if he wants to go skiing on her bunny hills, Aiba protests. Nico vocally acts out what it would be like, with Aiba self-destructing in Date's eyesocket and Boss sounding only mildly disappointed that Date's head exploded.
  • When Iris starts singing Invincible Rainbow Arrow, Nico realizes he can't skip it and lets out a string of "Oh no"s. Once it's over, he abruptly ends the episode without his usual outro and a colorful version of Iris's dance takes up the last minute while Guile's theme plays.
  • Nico calls Ota's stories Uchikoshi pitches that didn't make it all the way through.
  • Nico's reaction to Aiba referring to the frozen body Date mistook for Iris as "All-Ice", or "Alice":
Nico: Fuck you! Fuck you, Aiba. Get the fuck out of here, I'm done with this shit. That coy asshole. God damn it. I'm so sick of this shit. That's probably the trolliest thing I've seen from Uchikoshi yet.
  • Thanks to an editing mistake on Nico's part, the ending art for Episode 19 is the one for 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and not the one for this game.
  • In Boss's Somnium, Nico decides to take a 999-second action right away just to see what will happen.
  • When Iris is about to perform Invincible Rainbow Arrow for the finale, Nico asks if he has been a good boy. He then concludes that he has been a bad boy and that Uchikoshi wants him to die inside.
  • Once all the supporting characters begin dancing, Nico suggests that Saito also shows up and dances, stabbing everyone all the while.

AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative
  • As a follow up to the first game's Now Back To segment, this game's parody song is Nico singing the theme song of Pepper Ann, but with Mizuki as a central focus and Date pointing out he had his own intro too.
    • Later on in Episode 7, with Ryuki taking the protagonist role for awhile, the game's parody song is changed, this time to Nico singing the theme to Jimmy Neutron, with Ryuki as the main focus, and Tama appearing briefly to match Goddard's barks in the theme song.
  • Nico grew to somewhat resent the original game's Invincible Rainbow Arrow, so in what feels like a targeted attack at people specifically like him, Ryuki's Somnium begins by Aiba singing a verse from that very song, leaving Nico flabbergasted.
Nico: Aiba, can you shut the fuck up?
    • When Nico replays the Somnium to get the other route, he speeds up the snippet and tells Aiba to shut up again.
  • While browsing character profiles, Nico sees that Gen dislikes Ota and laughs while zooming in on the tidbit.
Nico: Ah, I like this guy already. Dislikes Ota Matsushita. My man!
  • There's a bear that lacks any Monokuma references. That makes Monokuma sad, but he loves despair and is happy that he's sad that he's happy that he's sad...
  • Tama's counseling service:
    • Nico gets stuck in a short cycle of "Worried about school?"/"I live in a society" and "Worried about work?"/"I'm a student." After claiming to be a student with unsupportive parents, he asks if Tama would be able to help if his ambitions were to be stepped on by a dommy mommy.
    • Tama mentions that the creator of Zero Escape struggled to find success. Nico shows concern for Uchikoshi and says the game is going to end with his Somnium being very depressing.
  • Ryuki tells Shoma too many details about Chikara's murder and Somnium. Shoma asks why Ryuki is telling him that and eventually tells him to shut up, and the video closes in on his face when he talks.
  • Nico starts to ramble about his crazy theory that the mysterious masked woman is somehow Mizuki from the future, leading to increasing Event-Obscuring Camera issues with zoom-ins and heavy screen distortion.
  • Komeji orders Shoma's robot to gun down Ryuki, similar to how Ota attacked Date in the first game.
  • When Shoma and the girls arrive at his house, he calls it an intervention for his dad to stop selling guns to the mob.
  • At the beginning of Episode 11, Nico tells Iris that she can cede the spotlight and go talk to So. Much later in the video, Iris is found at So's residence, having been caught eavesdropping on him.
  • As the search for Kizuna begins, Nico says it's time to visit every single place they've been to... shortly before he sees the map list and screams as he scrolls through the fifteen locations.
  • When Tearer reveals his name as "Boat", Komaeda asks if Ryuki likes boats.
  • In Episode 13, Nico barely starts his intro before he gets caught off guard by the skimpy prisoner garb he put Tama in earlier.
  • Nico has so much fun with the fight scene at the warehouse that he makes one of the scientists explode.
  • In the recap of the fight scene, Nico mentions the part about dying in an attempt to toss Mizuki in the air.
  • Leading up to the reveal of Tearer's first name, Nico blurts out several silly guesses. "Billy" is quite fitting, since Tearer is voiced by the late Billy Kametz.
Billy. Jimmy. Bob. Ding-dong-doodly. Or maybe, if it was "Boat", maybe it's "Plane".
  • As Aiba and Mizuki discuss where to look for Shoma, they add a few locations that aren't directly related to the task. Nico throws in just about every other location and says they should buy and play the first game just for good measure.
  • When the comment of the day debunks Nico's theory that Kizuna is Boss's daughter, he takes the AI-sight of her and tosses it at the left side of the screen, where it shatters. He then looks through the files and speculates that it could be Amame, Iris, Tokiko, or Ritsuko, even though the latter two are too old (and even though Iris's biological mother and adoptive mother had both already been presented in the previous game).
  • Ota asks Mizuki if one of the high chairs is hers, and she asks if he has life insurance. Nico roasts and shatters Ota's portrait.
  • Tearer chides the characters for not checking the basement of Horadori Institute despite it being a recurring place of interest.
  • Nico goes along with Aiba teasing Mizuki at Shoma's house.
  • Mizuki wonders where Lien is even though he is right in her line of sight, and she looks around in a different direction. Once she sees what's going on, she decides to make Lien and Kizuna's situation more awkward and examine things all over the place.
  • When his son was born, Chikara said, "Hell yeah, boy."
  • Nico speculates that Chikara will tell Mizuki the password when he's about to kill her. But he's dead already, so maybe it's his ghost.
  • Ryuki threatens to stab Mizuki if she doesn't love My Hero Academia.
  • Maybe Shoma went through a hole in the matrix in the ferris wheel and got transported to the future. By the next episode, with all the Mind Screw going on, Nico seems to genuinely consider this theory.
  • Nico forgets that Mizuki also has a gun and goes on a talk how Ryuki has a revolver and she really uses only her pipe... before Mizuki pulls out her gun to shoot mercenaries behind the crates.
  • One episode after Nico gets utterly confused and misled by the game, his intro is: "When we last left off, oh my god, what the hell is going on?!"
  • Nico solves the puzzles in Tearer's Somnium without directly examining the symbols, triggering the dialogue of Mizuki guessing the answers to Aiba's bewilderment. Some of Nico's statements fit perfectly with the in-game dialogue.
Mizuki: I dunno, try typing HELP.
    Nico: I'm a god!
    Aiba: What?! It opened?!
    Mizuki: God helped us! Yay!
  • When Tokiko shows up, the cursor is all the way on the right side of the screen. Nico goes to examine the whole factory before talking to her.
  • Tokiko tells Mizuki to look at her weird hand sign, which gets zoomed in on.
Tokiko: Look! Look at my hands! Look at them, Mizuki. Look at them. Look at my weird little fingers. Boolooloolooloo!
Nico: Ah! Ah! Shut up please! Shut up! Shoot her, Mizuki!
  • Nico voices the "du-dun" sound effect after every line of the buzzer dialogue, then complains that it never sounded out.
  • Mr. Chieda gives Lien a breakup package with two walnuts and a note: "Lien, I heard my daughter dumped you, so I got something for you. Deez nuts, bitch! Boosh!" Mr. Chieda is in the bushes, watching and laughing.
  • Nico imagines that the little tidbit about Mizuki being able to silently talk on the phone was added as the games were being printed, costing hundreds of thousands of dollars.
  • Nico commits to his theory that the Masked Woman is Mizuki in some form. He says twice that he'll trash his setup and go to an asylum if he's wrong.
If this doesn't end up being Mizuki in some way, I'm again ripping my controller in half, breaking my PC, uninstalling the game, and committing myself to yet another asylum.
  • Nico's overall reaction to the big plot twist of the game. He gets so confused at the fact that the twist flipped almost the whole game on its head and has to take a lot of time to comprehend how it makes sense, especially how it left him so dumbfounded that he couldn't even do his outro straight.
  • Nico suggests rearranging his playlist to be in chronological order. Why is Episode 3 after Episode 16? You'll have to watch to find out!
  • When the entire crew drives to the Enda residence, Nico thinks they'll arrive to see Amame pointing a gun at Shoma's head. Ryuki doesn't know what she's about to do but begs her not to do it. Amame pulls the trigger and tells Ryuki he could never understand her complex motives. Then Nico's brain turns inside-out.
  • Shoma says that if they're going to take Amame, they'll have to kill him first. Even though Boss told Ryuki not to shoot people anymore, he shoots Shoma and blames the TC-Perge for making him all loopy.
  • Roboji also defends Amame and claims that Ryuki psynced with it earlier and should understand its motivations.
Roboji: I'll kill all of us if I have to. I love Amame! I always have! You know that! Remember, Ryuki, you went into my Somnium earlier!
