MoringMark sure does know how to make any fanbase laugh themselves silly, and the TOH Comics is one huge whirlwind of funny gags and hilarious moments bundled together.
- Willow cushioning Boscha's fall with a wrong bush of plant
.Boscha: You. Did that. On purpose.
Willow: Sorry~ But those are the only softest plants around. - Luz having difficulties explaining to Amity about her... hectic week.Luz: I don't even know where to start...
- Hunter and Steve are hunting for Luz, during which the latter tells the former about a drawing on his cape. Hunter gives his staff to Steve while he checks the drawing, only to discover that the drawing is an illusion created by Gus, and Steve is actually Luz disguised by Gus' illusion. Luz and Gus proceed to run away laughing as Hunter gives chase.
- Luz decides to take Amity to the beach, assuring her that the water in the Human Realm doesn't boil. The two proceed to run into a different problem.Amity: *gasp* I have never swam before.
Luz: Yeah I should have thought of that. - Kikimora makes an attempt at using the Restraining Bolt she used on Raine against Lilith. As it turns out, Lilith came prepared.
- Luz flirting with Amity, to Skara and Amelia's delight... and Boscha's disgust.
- A group of Emperor's Coven scouts attempt to attack Eda in her Harpy Form, the sight of which causing all of them to fall in love. One of them proceeds to pull out a picture of Lilith and tear it up, causing Lilith to have a sudden heart attack.
- After learning about Hunter threatening Amity with her safety during the events of "Eclipse Lake", Luz gets a Playful Cat Smile and quickly leaves to go get a little bit of revenge against Hunter.
- Amity declares to her brain that it's time to go to sleep, to which her brain responds by making her remember an over exaggerated version of when she smashed King's cupcake in "Convention".Memory Amity: I'm doing this, because I'm... EVIL! MHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Amity: Why, just why. - Camila hesitates on sending Luz to camp... until she sees Luz Naruto running and yelling in Gratuitous Japanesenote . Camila can only respond with Stunned Silence before making her decision.Camila: Camp it is.
- Camila and Odalia meeting for the first time.Odalia: It occurs to me that your family isn't very rich.
Camila: It occurs to me that you are a lil bit-
Luz: (sweating) Who wants marudos?! - Kikimora questions Emperor Belos on why he favors Hunter over her. According to Belos, Hunter has been protecting him since he was five... only for a flashback to show that Hunter's "protection" of Belos wasn't exactly willing.Emperor Belos: He saved me so many times, I practically owe my life to him.
Hunter: (whispering, with a Thousand-Yard Stare) Please take my place. - Prior to pairing Hunter and Willow together as the canon show would later do, Mark made one comic in which Emira and Hunter try to get approval from Odalia, only for her to reject them as she has already arranged Emira to marry someone else. That person? Only the most famous nobleman in the royal family: the Golden Guard.Emira: Um... actually.
Hunter: (whispering) Wait until the wedding day, that's funnier.
Emira: (whispering) Good point. - Luz places a "Human Curse" on Hunter by getting him to start breathing manually. Turns out that Hunter doesn't know how to do that and proceeds to suffocate.Kikimora: (crying) WHY, WHHHHY?! I thought I would be happy but... all I feel is emptiness!
Luz: (giving a Thousand-Yard Stare) His blood is on my hand.
Belos: *sigh* Time to make another one. - Somehow, Hooty was every unsolved myth on Earth, as well as being responsible for the Big Bang and the creation of the universe itself.Luz: So it's all Hooty?
Hooty: Always has been. - After telling Alador to get changed, Odalia gets a good view of her husband's muscled back. Just as she's thinking what she plans to do to him later, she realizes that her communication amulet is still on, and Amity is not happy to have heard all of that.
- Luz making Emperor Belos and the goons taste the spirit of Christmas a little too early...Emperor Belos: (facepalms)
Kikimora: Somebody stop the source of this madness!
Guard 1: Make it stooop!
Guard 2: The earmuffs does nothing! (throws earmuffs out of frustration)
Steve: The end is nigh! Embrace anarchy! - The gang play Truth or Dare at Camila's place while she and Eda chat. Luz asks Hunter to pick his poison and he picks dare, prompting Luz to command him to eat his own boogers. He reluctantly obliges and retaliates by asking Luz right back. She picks truth.Hunter: Alright, then. Tell us... who is the most important woman in your life?
(Amity, Camila, and Eda turn toward Luz, cross their arms, and wait for her answer in passive-aggressive silence)
Luz: (breaking out into a horrified sweat) oh no. - In reference to the infamous "Dress up and travel together!" translation from The Owl House's Taiwan sub, Mark made one comic featuring another potential translation made for a Luz and Amity proposal scene.
- An air national guard gets alerted to an unidentified aerial object in Gravesfield airspace. The pilot sent to investigate, code-named Rhino, discovers the object to be a young Eda, who pulls out a drawing board to tell the pilot that he can't tell anyone about this without sounding crazy. Rhino simply decides to say that the object was a weather balloon.
- Hooty becomes Santa Claus and gives out gifts to his fellow Owl House residents for Christmas. When the thing King wants ends up being to know where his dad is, Hooty proceeds to regurgitate the letter he ate from Tarak at the end of "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door". King is initially ecstatic, but then realizes that Hooty had this letter all this time, causing him to side eye Hooty as Hooty begins to sweat.
- A young Luz wanted a specific Halloween costume, but Camila apparently made the wrong one. Camila tells Luz she'll still make her the right one, but is confused because she thought Luz wanted to be Batgirl. Turns out Luz didn't want to be Batgirl, she wanted to be Bat Girl.
- Amity and Hunter have a rematch after their fight in "Eclipse Lake". Hunter thinks he has an advantage now that he has his usual staff, isn't under stress, and has finally gotten 7 hours of sleep. Amity, however, reveals that she has knowledge of the Human Realm thanks to Luz... and proceed to form an AK-47 out of Abomination goo.
- Darius and Alador try to one-up each other is various aspects, starting with them comparing their status as father figures, before escalating to them fighting over which one of them should get to kill the Emperor.Emperor Belos: [sigh] Not everything has to be a competition, boys.
- After suffering from the various ailments of Earth, Amity declares that if Luz can survive the Boiling Isles, she can handle the Human Realm. After noting that at least there aren't any flesh-hungry fairies in the Human Realm, Luz states that the closest equivalent to those would be mosquitoes. Cue an army of mosquitoes landing on Amity.Amity: (covered in mosquito bites) They are... worse than fairies.
Luz: There, there. - This comic starts on a serious note with the characters expressing their grief over their past mistakes and trauma... and then you get to the final panel.Lilith: I thought the curse was nothing, but it ruined my sister's life.
Hunter: I thought I was the Golden Guard, but I'm a nobody!
King: I thought they were my family, but they killed my family.
Eda: I thought Luz would be safe, but I put her in danger.
Luz: I thought I was helping people, but I ruined everything!
Viewer: I thought it was a silly owl show, but holy ████- - While the rebellion leaders plan an attack against Belos' castle, Darius spends the meeting designing new outfits for them. The rest of them think such a thing isn't a priority... until they actually see the design. Cut to later, two Emperor's Coven scouts go to fight the rebellion, but upon seeing their new, intimidating outfits, immediately back down, with one asking if they'll get one of those outfits if they join them.
- Darius reviews Amity's skill with Abomination magic, proclaiming that while she's talented, she still needs a lot of experience before she reaches her father's level. When Amity asks if there's anything she's better than her father at, Darius does have one thing to say: She clearly has better taste in love interests.
- Luz asks for Amity's help opening a jar. As it turns out, Luz seems to find Amity opening jars to be attractive.
- This comic shows the different ways Luz, Raine, and Alador protect their respective partners from a Grudgby Ball. Of course, Alador's way doesn't seem as... willing, compared to the others.
- With the Day of Unity coming up, Willow tells some other Hexside students that if they have any confessions to make, now's the time. After Amelia and another student and Emira and Viney admit their feelings to each other respectively, Boscha waits for someone to confess to her. As it turns out, Skara has something to confess to her.Skara: I think you suck!
- While investigating the old shack, Luz and Amity quickly realize that Belos is right above them. When Amity attempts to look up, Luz points out the horror trope of the monster attacking when a character looks up and quickly has her and Amity leave.Belos: Dang. She's good.
- After capturing Belos in a jar, Hunter demands to know why he would kill his own brother. Belos claims that Caleb deserved it for falling in love with a witch, which gives Hunter the idea to torture Belos by revealing that him and Willow are a couple, before proceeding to make him watch in agony as the two hold hands.
- This comic has Luz, Gus, and Hunter playing Mario Kart: Double Dash!! for the past two hours. Hunter tells Willow that he doesn't really get the controls, but has managed to win a couple of rounds... he then realizes that his controller isn't plugged in.
- Luz gets Amity her own phone, with the latter noting how similar phones are to the Demon Realm's scrolls. She tries to let go of her phone while it's above her head and quickly realizes one big difference between them.Amity: I totally forgot that it doesn't fly.
Luz: Shh~ Shh~ It's okay. My phone does that to me at least once a week. - This comic starts out fairly dramatic as Hunter takes a spear a Titan Trapper threw at Willow. With Hunter seemingly dead, Willow is about to confess her love for him... and then Hunter sits right back up because he's mostly made of wood and can't be killed unless his Galdorstone is destroyed. Willow is happy that he's alive... and then Hunter asks if she's gonna kiss him or not.
- Luz wakes up late for school, quickly getting ready and makes a run for it, managing to get there just in time. She walks into her class... only to see that Vee is already there.Luz: Today isn't Wednesday, is it?
- The Hexsquard dress up for Halloween, but the crew end up a bit confused regarding Amity's choice in costume.
- Luz comes home covered in Abomination goo after a shopping trip with Amity. When Camila inquires on this, a flashback shows that the two saw a modern art piece of a road in a vertical loop, which Luz attempted to run on. Amity and Camila are amused by this, and then...Amity: (In Sincerity Mode) Thank you for keeping her alive for so long.
Camila: (Also in Sincerity Mode) Please take good care of her for me. - After Camila expresses her financial woes with having to now feed six children, Luz proposes the idea of robbing a bank, explaining how easy it would be with the Hexsquad's magic. Camila is quick to laugh off the entire thing as a joke... until she notices that Luz isn't laughing.Camila: ...Mija, why are you not laughing?
- Right before the Hexsquad goes to sleep, Luz remembers to tell them that King is a Titan. This causes the crew to remember all of the times they've been cruel to the child who is essentially a deity to them. Safe to say, none of them sleep well that night.
- The Hexsquad are being chased by Belos while in a car. A pair of cops catch them speeding as they're coming down and say that they better have a good reason for doing so. As the screaming kids pass by with a roaring Belos in tow, the cops agree that that's a pretty reasonable excuse.
- While carrying a large amount of grocery bags, Luz accidentally lets slip that the groceries only weigh two-thirds of Amity. Amity proceeds to become a unit of measurement among the Hexsquad.
- As Luz and Amity are resting on the couch, the former notes at Ghost is purring extra loud today. Turns out Ghost isn't the one doing the purring, causing a discovery that Luz can only react to with Tears of Joy.
- With Luz now in a relationship, Camila decides now is a good time to give Luz The Talk. Turns out that Luz already learned all about that at Hexside, as well as how Amity and her can have children via magic someday. Camila inquires about the process regarding that, leading Luz to give her own mother the talk as Camila starts taking notes.
- Luz asks Amity where witches summon their stuff from. Amity admits that they don't really know how it works, only that they can send it to some sort of hammerspace that they can store an unlimited number of things in and take them out whenever they need. Luz notes that that sounds familiar, and requests that Amity send her to hammerspace. Cut to Eda, who immediately after pulling a bottle of apple blood out of her hair, gets shocked when Luz suddenly bursts from her hair, much to her own confusion and Luz's delight.
- After the events of "Thanks to Them", Vee is in need of a car ride home, to which Masha offers to give her one. Along the way, Vee attempts to introduce herself, only for Masha to reveal that they know Vee is the Luz they've been interacting with since summer camp, having gotten access to Jacob's surveillance footage, notebook, and everything else he has since he got fired from the museum. Vee then asks how Masha got the car they're in. When Masha says they got everything, they mean everything.
- Belos apparently forgot do a background check on Amity's family.
- After the events of "Thanks to Them", the Hexsquad need to contact their allies upon arriving back in the Boiling Isles. Amity sees on her scroll that Penstagram still works and a message from Edric indicates that everyone thought they were dead. When Luz asks how she'll will reply, Amity decides to do a little trolling on her brother.
- Masha arrives at the Noceda's house, asking Camila if they can take her daughter out on a date. When Vee arrive at the door, Masha says that they're actually here for the other daughter. Vee closes the door, and Luz shows up yelling how she has a girlfriend. Masha admits that they were joking and they know that "Luz" is actually Vee.Vee: Am I still getting a date?
Masha: Yup. - One of Luz's classmates sees a picture of Vee in her natural form, with Luz claiming her to be a plushie. The classmate wants one, and when offered $200, Luz complies and makes a plushie Vee for her. Then it turns out that quite a lot of other people are interested in getting one.Vee: (poking a Vee plushie) I'm flattered and weirded out at the same time.
Luz: (sewing a plushie) We got 128 orders in 2 days.
