UNSC Leviathan, Recently Summoned

After seizing control of a Human military outpost at Manicani, an Abyssal Destroyer Princess decides that the Abyssals were going to have a try at summoning more Abyssals by hijacking a Human summoning chamber. And it works, summoning a very powerful Abyssal.

One problem. They summoned the Marathon-Class Heavy Cruiser UNSC Leviathan: Former flagship of the UNSC Eridani Fleet, recently destroyed by the Alien Covenant, and very loyal to Humanity.

Needless to say goes very poorly for the Abyssals.

Rise of Leviathan is a story written by Sukrai follows a story where a UNSC heavy cruiser from the HaloUniverse gets booted into the world of KanColle born as an Abyssal that lacks the usual hatred for Humanity. Things are going to get interesting.

And Leviathan is not the only future Human spaceship as well.

Provides Examples Of:

  • Anyone Can Die: Definitely not the kind of story where everyone lives happily ever after.
  • The Battlestar: Levi is considered by both the Humans forest and Abyssals as one.
  • BFG: Leviathan's MAC (Magnetic Accelerator Cannon) is so powerful, it can oneshot every Abyssal.
  • Big Eater: Shipgirls in general, but Leviathan eats an entire bar and grill out of stock in one sitting.
  • Came Back Wrong: Very much how Leviathan and Umbra came back, given the unintended use of Abyssal parts, human flesh, and a hastily thrown-together summoning platform. Even the Abyssals aren't sure what to classify them as.
  • Cast of Personifications: Shipgirls as a whole are personifications of ships of old.
  • Cool Plane: Leviathan's GA-TL 1 Longswords turn out to be some Levi's best assets, capable of destroying Abyssal interceptors to Nu-class Light Carriers.
  • Crossover: Very obvious, given who the fic stars. There are some intermingling aspects to both universes that meld into the fic's setting though.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Leviathan is described as black armour plates, eyes that burned like stars and born as an Abyssal, the same beings trying to destroy Human nations. Yet despite this, Leviathan is more than happy to fight alongside Humans and shipgirls due to her loyalty to the UNSC and Humanity.
  • The Dreaded: Modern nuclear submarines are this to the Abyssals. They are one of the few watercraft the Humans can use to venture close to the Abyssal home turf. Abyssals hate them to the point that in chapter 27, they chose to focus their attention on a lone Virginia class nuclear submarine instead of the supply convoy they were harassing.
  • Eldritch Abomination: The Abyss itself. It definitely exists, and has an agenda, but what that is, or even if it's something the Abyssals themselves can understand, is unknown.
  • Empathic Weapon: Hephaestus is essentially this, Double Subverted as he is an AI controlling Levi's tail-weapon.
  • All of the ship-girls, as well as the Abyssals.
  • Doubly so for Leviathan and Umbra. Space-Faring vessels from the 2500s finding themselves in the early 21st century.
  • Headbutting Heroes: Leviathan and Umbra. Leviathan is proper Navy, and Umbra is an ONI Prowler, and the difference in mentalities that those two organizations have is very much shown by how they disagree on methodology.
  • Human Weapon: Ship-Girls as a whole. And Abyssals too, for the most part. Leviathan sees little problem with it, but a lot of other shipgirls and the navies themselves have major issues in regards to this.
  • Inhuman Human: Abyssals in a nutshell. Most of them are surprisingly sane and rational, but the bodies they put themselves into are most definitely abnormal.
  • In-Series Nickname: Levi for Leviathan.
  • Lilliputians: The Fairies of the shipgirls. They not only act as part of the shipgirl, but can act as semi-independent extensions of them too. A fact that creeps out multiple people, even shipgirls from time to time.
    • "Her crew, the ones she could feel running around inside of her, all rang out with reports of readiness and preparation. The fact that they did so with aplomb and eagerness was appreciated... the fact that not a single one of them was in her database was not. It was enough to make her security protocols SCREAM at her, yet for SOME REASON they were utterly silent... Which made as much sense as the rest at this point. Really, the only reason she wasn't pulling every one of the little guys out and demanding answers in a more... physical manner was because the damage that she should have had after blowing herself to kingdom come with a dual nuclear explosion was conspicuously absent and she was not eager to have that change any time soon. That, and she wasn't sure if she'd be pulling out people or organs at this rate..."
  • Macross Missile Massacre: Levi resorts to using her Archer Missile pods whenever it's no ideal to use her MAC. And it's super effective. She is also called the "Guided Missile Princess" by Abyssal Forces.
  • Normal Fishina Tiny Pond: UNSC Leviathan, in her home universe, may be powerful but she is hopelessly outclassed by most Covenant warships. On 21st Century Earth, she proves that she is the most deadly ship girl around. Ancher Missiles, something rather ineffective against the Alien Covenant, Proves to be utterly devasting against the Abyssals.
  • Oh, Crap!!:
    • The Human Admiralty's reaction when Leviathan reveals that radiation was detected during the battle, radiation that either came from a slip space drive or a live nuclear weapon.
    • The reaction of the Destroyer Princess when Leviathan decides to start shooting every Abyssal in her sight with her MAC
  • Power-Upgrading Deformation: Abyssals can do this to take on the forms of a Sea Monster, their twisted ship's hull form, or a hybrid of the two. Especially when facing regular human ships.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: Levi's motivation in a nutshell. Seemingly subverted due to not having any Covenant in the area, but still very much a core part of her personality.
  • Taking You with Me: Taking out a Covenant carrier in a mutual nuclear detonation when all of her crew were already dead.
  • Wham Line: As it turns out, Leviathan was not the only UNSC space ship summoned by the Abyssal. Or rather, she's the only UNSC ship summoned (so far), but not the only spaceship.
Leviathan: "Umbra? Edge of Umbra is that really you?."
'''Edge on Umbra (ONI Prowler) "Suprise!"
