A calamity has fallen over Japan that has given rise to people with special abilities. Chika and the other members of Aqours were given these abilities as well and now wish to use their new abilities known as "stands" to stop the calamity and bring peace to Japan once more.
Chika's Bizarre Adventure
is a crossover fic between Japanese properties Love Live! Sunshine!! and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure by GhostAggron that takes the contrasting world's of the two series' and joins them together in an interesting story that feels as if it was written by Hirohiko Araki himself. Favorite Characters will fall and hearts will be broken in this tale.

Chika's Bizarre Adventure contains examples of
- Adaptational Badass: Most of the cast. Due to Love Live being a idol story there's rarely a need for fighting but due to the nature of this story most of the cast gets a chance to shine and fight in high stakes battles
- Adaptational Villainy: Besides Aqours, this happens to some characters from the Love Live! Franchise.
- µ's start out as Well Intentioned Extremists attacking Aqours as they saw them as suspects for freezing Honoka solid, though the Cycle of Revenge only escalates their aggression.
- From Nijigasaki, Kanata Konoe initially fight against Eli and Nozomi due to hatred against other Stand Users due to some killing her sister, only to be used as their pawn before Aqours save her. Additionally, Ayuma Uehara becomes a third-party enemy after witnessing the death of her friends in the Cataclysm.
- The straight example comes from A-Rise, the rival idol group from the first series. Rather than the Friendly Rival group in the anime, they are shown to resent µ's for winning Love Live in spite of A-Rise's effort, and after they get their Stands they decide to take over Akibahara and outright kill Honoka and the others.
- Anyone Can Die: Unsurprising due to this being a Jojo crossover but many characters die in this story and even many of the main characters meet unfortunate ends during the story's run.
- A Birthday, Not a Break: Honoka Kousaka's birthday was the day before the Cataclysm, and it was the day she received the Origin Stand Arrow that caused the Mass Super-Empowering Event when it injected into her body.
- Boomerang Bigot: Despite being a Stand User herself, Kanata Konoe see other Stand Users as murderers or those wanting to use her power for their own gain. Her distrust stems from Stand Users killing her sister Haruka during the initial disaster.
- Cycle of Revenge: The conflict between Aqours and µ's escalates with each attack and even death on both sides, only coming to an end with five members of Aqours left and one Sole Survivor from µ's.
- Downer Beginning: Numazu and the area beyond is plagued by manipulation Stand Users, forcing the girls of Aqours to flee their hometown to an abandoned research facility out in the ocean.
- Dropped a Bridge on Him: At the end of chapter 6, You, recovering from her first Stand Fight and witnessing Kotori's death, is suddenly killed by a unknown Stand user.
- The Hero: Similar to her role in the Love Live Sunshine series, Chika takes on the role of the hero of this story. She's driven by her desire to live a peaceful and happy life with her friends and aims to end the calamity for the sake of it.
- Mass Super-Empowering Event: The Cataclysm refers to the day that people across Japan suddenly gain Stands, with seven members of Aqours initially among them. The sudden influx of new powers and individuals using them for their own gain is what causes the society collapse that started the story.
- Rogue Protagonist: The idols of µ's, the protagonists of the previous series Love Live!, are the major antagonists for Aqours. That said, their reason to fight stems in either an Anti-Villain desire to protect Honoka or Grey-and-Gray Morality to avenge the unit mates Aqours kill to protect themselves.
- Sole Survivor: By the end of the story, Honoka is the sole remaining member of µ's, the rest killed in their battle against Aqours.
- Spiritual Antithesis: to Honoka's Bizarre Adventure. Both fics involve a Love Live! series crossing over with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Love Live! Sunshine!! for Chika's Bizarre Adventure and the first series Love Live! for Honoka's Bizarre Adventure) with the school idols gaining Stands, and both explore darker and serious themes that the idealistic idol franchise never touched on. However, Chika's Bizarre Adventure takes on a darker and initially cynical tone compared to Honoka's Bizarre Adventure.
- In Honoka's Bizarre Adventure, the arrival of Stands doesn't impact the overall world, and even with the new conflict µ's mainly deals with the same story of saving their school plus elements of Jo Jos Bizarre Adventure Diamond Is Unbreakable. Chika's Bizarre Adventure starts with a society collapse thanks to a country-wide Stand empowering event and Aqours force to flee Numazu to escape the rampage of new Stand Users.
- While Honoka's Bizarre Adventure doesn't shy away from character deaths, generally it is kept to a minimum with some enemies ending up with a Defeat Means Friendship and the protagonists guaranteed to survive.note . Chika's Bizarre Adventure leans more on Anyone Can Die, with antagonists more often getting killed and even the girls of Aqours are not safe from death. And while in Honoka's Bizarre Adventure the question of Killing in Self-Defense was only briefly touched on when Honoka thought she killed her Starter Villain, Aqours in Chika's Bizarre Adventure more often have to grapple with the fact they need to kill to protect themselves, even if that includes their former role models in µ's.
- Generally, the antagonists from Honoka's Bizarre Adventure were either Original Characters or JoJo characters like Yoshikage Kira. The only time there was a Love Live Villain of the Week in the story, Nico Yazawa, was because that chapter was an adaption of a canon episode where she opposed µ's before she joined them. Chika's Bizarre Adventure has far more Love Live characters coming in as enemy Stand users and willing to kill the girls of Aqours, who range from Tragic Villains like the girls of µ's or straight out warlords like A-Rise.
- The Unfettered: Umi Sonoda will do whatever it takes to protect Honoka, even if it means killing the idols of Aqours or allowing the Cataclysm to continue out of fear that removing the Origin Arrow from Honoka will kill her.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom:
- Sarah and Leah only had the best of intentions when Sarah used her stand to freeze Honoka alive to prevent her from being killed by A-Rise while dealing with her Stand related illness. Unfortuently for everyone else, the other members of µ's thought Honoka was frozen by an enemy Stand-User, and went out of their way to hunt down and kill any potential suspects, including Aqours.
- The entire Cataclysm started because Umi's father bought the Origin Arrow from a merchant a long time ago, and Umi would give it as a birthday present to Honoka. The arrow would insert itself into Honoka, and uses her wish to connect to everyone in the world to cause people across Japan and beyond to develop Stands.
- Wham Episode: The "Catch the Wind" two-parter causes a great shift in the narrative for Aqours. First is that the Stand User You fights is revealed to be Kotori Minami, one of the protagonists from the previous series, revealing that Aqours will have to fight their former role models from µ's, who seem to be fighting for the sake of their leader Honoka. The second is that not long after You and Yoshiko successfully defeats their opponent and witness her tragic death, You is abruptly killed by an unknown enemy, showing that not even the main characters are safe from death.
- Wham Line:
- In chapter 5, an Armored Stand User abducts You from the air and forces her into a High-Altitude Battle. At the end of the chapter, Ruby (who cannot see Stands since she currently doesn't have one) screams in fight when she sees who is underneath the armor.Ruby: That girl...she’s Kotori! Kotori Minami!
- Chapter 15 has Kanan using her Stand to hack the freighter that µ's hijacked earlier, and from there she and Hanamaru find a report about a rare Stand Arrow that might be responsible for the Stand User emergence in Japan. The closing message reveals a familiar JoJo character responsible for the report."We must find and secure it at all costs! This is Jean Pierre Polnareff, signing off."
