  • Cassandra Truth: A running theme with her. Karin believes herself to be telling the truth about her abduction, but is often dismissed as a liar. She later lies about Victor being a pervert, but his immediate violent reaction proves that she wasn't entirely wrong about him being dangerous.
  • Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy: A proud graduate. She's far too small and weak to compensate for the recoil of the .357 derringer, and winds up shooting Ashlee by mistake.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: Karin is entirely self-serving and only ever acts out of her own self-interest, even when she's seemingly doing something heroic.
  • Launcher Move: Gets thrown around by Victor when her lies are uncovered.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Almost succeeds in becoming this with her ploy against Victor, but Karen and Julia opting to call Victor out and identify her as the whistleblower ruins her plan.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Crosses it hard when she tells Karen and Julia that Victor's been perving on them at night.
  • One-Steve Limit: Phonetic variant with her ally, Karen Nguyen. Karin notes that Karen is older, taller, heavier, and gets better grades than her, and dubs her Karen+ in her mental narration.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Abandons her allies at the sheriff's office the second she spots Beatrice and her battle axe.
  • Shout-Out: When confronted by Beatrice at the sheriff's office, Karin distracts everyone long enough to escape by shouting "COOL IT!" a la Death Road to Canada.

  • Mean Character, Nice Actor: Ashlee has a preference for cosplaying villains. The reason why is essentially invoked Evil Is Cool, as she feels that they have better costumes and personalities. Ashlee herself is a Nice Girl who likes the performance aspect of cosplay.
  • Nice Girl: One of the nicer students. Unfortunately, it backfires against her in-game.
  • Pom-Pom Girl: Ashlee is a flyer on the school's cheer team, and fits the 'popular Class Princess' stereotype better than the 'cruel Alpha Bitch' one.
  • Race Lift: Discussed. It's mentioned that Ashlee, who is half-black, has had to navigate toxicity involving cosplaying characters who don't match her skin tone before.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: She's making an active attempt at being this. In pre-game she makes an announcement on Discord about what's implicitly Abhi's spam, pointing out that the messages are likely for attention and that if anyone receives anything like it they should block and report without responding. She continues in-game, but this doesn't work out due to Karin's claims about Victor quickly escalating into violence.
