     Shared Tropes
  • Birthmark of Destiny: Every Cardinal Saint is designated as such since birth by the growing crystals on their body. In Chichiri's case, they're the most visible on her left arm.
  • Hunter of Monsters: Each Cardinal Saint is tasked with slaying their respective Cardinal Beast in order to purify them from their growing power. However, according to Chichiri, they have been neglecting their mission in recent years due to personal matters unique to each Saint, causing the Cardinal Beasts to grow stronger than ever.
  • Secret Character: Just like the Eternals and the Evokers, the Cardinal Saints are a set of characters that require continuous grinding in order to recruit them into your party. This involves uncapping their respective weapons to 5★ and maxing out the weapons’ level up to 200, all while getting a Masterless Yupei from Rise of the Beasts to start their Fate Episode.
  • Stellar Name: Their names come from the Twenty-Eight Mansions used in the Chinese constellations system, which are connected to The Four Gods.

The Cardinal Saint sent to defeat the Zhuque. Disadvantageous against said beast, she's saved by the crew of the Grandcypher during a battle and requests them to be their disciple, much to the crew's reluctance.

  • Face Your Fears: Her Fate Episodes after recruiting her deal with the crew learning about and helping her overcome her fear of fighting Zhuque, a fear that every Cardinal Saint of Zhuque has been born with after one of their predecessors was killed by it.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: During a sparring match with the Captain, Chichiri demonstrates just how strong she actually is in combat, making Vyrn wonder if she even needs any training from them. The crew later learns that she cannot fight to her fullest against Zhuque due to her inherent fear of it.
  • Memento Macguffin: One of Zhuque's feathers is kept at her training grounds as a reminder of the very first Zhuque Cardinal Saint, who has achieved the goal of defeating the beast. She later obtains a much fresher one after defeating it as well.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: After Chichiri decides to face her fears, she also figures out that Zhuque is equally afraid of its own powers for the exact same reason of killing the preceding Zhuque Cardinal Saints. They both eventually come to terms with their own fears by fulfilling their intended duties.
  • Pressure Point: Part of her fighting style involves pressing these to stall or weaken the opponent. This is reflected through the debuffs she can apply through her skills such as Supplemental Damage and Duress.
  • Professional Butt-Kisser: One of her hobbies is groveling, which she takes it to literal earth-shattering levels and considers the crew as her gurus, with one instance where she bows close enough for her head to touch the Captain's feet. The crew is less than pleased with this and only gives in to her requests just to get her to stop groveling.
  • Sensing You Are Outmatched: She felt that the Qilin (which neither she nor the crew had knowledge of at the time) is ten times scarier than Zhuque, leading her to wisely stop her second wake and prevent it from appearing.
  • Superior Successor: Downplayed. While she was unable to win against Zhuque like her ancestors/predecessors, she's strong enough to at least walk away alive unlike them. It's subverted when Zhuque was holding back to not let her die and double subverted once she defeats the berserk Zhuque by herself in her penultimate Fate Episode.
