Team Runt

    In General

    Runt

Runt

A 12 year old boy who was raised by farmers, he's always dreamed of becoming a warrior despite being a villager.

  • Against the Grain: As a villager, becoming a warrior is frowned upon. He gets a chance at becoming one because of the increasingly dangerous mobs potentially invading Villagetown.
  • Determinator: No matter what stands in his way, he never gives up on his goal of becoming a warrior.
  • Embarrassing First Name: His name is Runt, which is what the smallest animal in a litter is called. At the end of Forging Destiny he's happy at the prospect of changing his name.
  • Innocently Insensitive: It's a recurring flaw for him, he is often way ruder than he realizes. He dismisses his destined partner Eeebs. It's the reason why he recruits Emerald in the first place.
  • Weirdness Magnet: He always seems to have the weirdest things happen to him, Emerald even lampshades this at one point.
Emerald: The weirdest stuff always happens to him! He's like a lightning rod for trouble! A magnet for craziness!

    Stump

Stump

Runt's friend since childhood, and just like him, he also wants to become a warrior.

  • Plucky Comic Relief: While he definitely isn't The Load and is fairly competent at fighting, he makes more jokes than anyone else bar Runt. (And that's because the series is from Runt's perspective.)
  • Sidekick: He is usually this to Runt.
  • Stone Wall: He wants to become a tank.
  • Undying Loyalty: Runt's only friend from before the series began that doesn't abandon him for Pebble.

    Max

Max

Runt's bully before Pebble overtook him. After book 1 he joins team Runt.

  • Always a Bigger Fish: He may be a bully, but compared to Pebble, he poses no threat. Max knows this, which is why he wants to ally with Runt near the end of book 1.
  • Arc Villain: He's the main antagonist of the first book, causing Runt and Stump to fail the mining test. However, aside from that he doesn't pose any major threat to team Runt.
  • Insufferable Genius: He likes to brag about knowing things that Runt doesn't.
  • Kiddie Kid: He likes to read Cow The Cow, a series for extremely young villagers despite being 12. (The villagers' Fictional Age of Majority.)
  • The Rival: He's Runt's until From Seeds to Swords.

    Breeze

Breeze

A mysterious girl Runt is forced to partner up with in From Seeds to Swords. She officially joins team Runt in Crafting Alliances.

  • Action Girl: She's probably the best combatant in team Runt, managing to kill a zombie horde in less than a second. This is because Herobrine's army experimented on her.
  • The Ace: Her combat skills make her one of the highest ranking students since the beginning.
  • Broken Ace: However, the reason why is because she was subjected to Herobrine's experiments. But, this wasn't the only trauma she endured. She's actually an elf, her home was destroyed by Herobrine's armies forcing her and Brio to disguise themselves as villagers and migrate to Shadowbrook, but Shadowbrook was destroyed as well. After escaping they moved to Villagetown.

    Emerald

Emerald

An extremely social girl who was one of Pebble's allies. She joined team Runt after offering to help Runt become more likeable.

  • Meaningful Name: Emeralds are what villagers use as currency, befitting her status as being rich.
  • The Bard: She's training to become one.
  • The Social Expert: She's this for team Runt, helping them become more popular at school.

    Lola

Lola

A very strange girl with a talent for redstone engineering. Runt recruits her in Path of the Diamond.

  • Cloudcuckoolander: She's very eccentric, to the point that team Runt wonders whether recruiting her was worth it.
  • Genius Ditz: Despite that, she can still create extremely complex redstone machines.

Villagetown

    Pebble

Pebble

After Runt gets first in one too many school competitions, Pebble becomes his main rival, and unlike Max he doesn't hold back.

  • Ax-Crazy: His bullying methods are very brutal, sometimes he even resorts to attempting murder. The reason why is because he was brainwashed by Herobrine with a potion of Confusion.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: The real reason why he hates Runt so much.
  • Barbaric Bully: He enjoys beating up Runt For the Evulz.
  • Broken Pedestal: To Villagetown after getting caught trying to kill Runt.
  • Villainous Breakdown: In Path of the Diamond he attempts to kill Runt by blowing him up with TNT. When that doesn't work he tries to kill him using his sword. Runt defeats him and he is exiled from Villagetown as a result.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: He's worshipped as a hero by the village and he's the most popular student at Runt's school, he's also a horrible bully who is willing to kill his targets.

    Raspberry

Raspberry

Max's best friend and ally. He doesn't want to be a warrior, but is still willing to do favors for Max.

    The Mayor

The Mayor

The mayor of Villagetown and it's main authority.

    Steve

Steve

A human who was forced to move to Villagetown after his base got destroyed. He becomes a combat teacher, but later retires to experiment with Redstone.

    Mike

Mike

A human Villagetown jailed, he was later released and became a combat teacher for the school.

    Urf

Urf

A village elder who was the school's original combat teacher before being replaced.

  • Dirty Coward: His main trait, aside from his incompetence, is his cowardice. Whenever something bad happens he always flees.
  • Faceā€“Heel Turn: After From Seeds to Swords he joined Herobrine's army.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: He was originally an extremely cowardly combat villager who couldn't even kill a zombie, after betraying Villagetown to join Herobrine's army he became a powerful sorcerer who posed quite the threat to Runt and Breeze in Quest Mode.
