And The Fandom Rejoiced / Pretty Cure

Go To

  • Usually, it takes a few weeks of the season actually being on the air for things to settle down. When HeartCatch Pretty Cure! was announced, everything began as normal. Then Nana Mizuki, best known for her roles as either adorable love interests, Dark Magical Girls or both, was cast as the lead. A good number of arms were laid down that day.
  • The fact that one character will be orange and another green in Smile Pretty Cure! made the fandom overjoyed.
  • Many fans were disappointed when Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage reduced the Futari wa Pretty Cure MaX Heart, Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash★Star and Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GO!GO! casts to The Cameo. The first original trailer for New Stage 2 has now revealed that, at the very least, the Max Heart and Yes teams will have much bigger roles than last time. You were missed, girls.
    • Looks like New Stage 3 is really ramping things up here as the first trailer shown on HappinessCharge Pretty Cure! shows the Smile team interacting with the team they're Expies of, the Yes! team. Even more, Cure Honey may be the first mainline Cure to make an appearance in a movie first instead of the series proper and Ayumi's making a combeback, too. Oh, and everyone's voiced.
  • HappinessCharge Pretty Cure!? The title sounds so cheesy and girly! I wonder if the series will be super girly and cheesy—wait, what?! The main character is the BLUE cure instead of the PINK one?! A purple cure who has a grudge against the main character? Tons of mystery in the background? A male friend who helps fight the evil minions some of the time?! Sign us up, Toei!!
    • Oh, and each episode also begins with a Couch Gag where a cure from one of the previous series introduces the show!
  • Star★Twinkle Pretty Cure: We finally got a good green Cure that is not a Sixth Ranger. Oh and said green Cure is more or less the main character here? Yay.
  • When the cast and staff for Healin' Good♡Pretty Cure was announced, not only the fans reacted positively that the main positions are held by women, but when it was announced that Aoi Yūki will be voicing Cure Grace, the main character, it sent the fans into a state of ecstasy.
  • Many fans reacted this way when it was revealed that Healin' Good♡Pretty Cure's Non-Serial Movie was a Crossover with Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GO!GO! to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Yes! Pretty Cure 5.
  • Hey, what's this? Toei Animation filed yet another Pretty Cure trademark? Oh, so it's titled Delicious Party Pretty Cure? Title sounding like something along the lines of KiraKira★Pretty Cure à la Mode aside, it's time to speculate what it might be about, and if Crunchyroll will be streaming it.
  • When character designs for Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure were released, fans went wild to see a rare non-pink leader Cure (Cure Sky being a blue leader, a first for the franchise).
    • Fans rejoiced once more when anniversary merchandise started rolling out, including merch for final power forms of every single lead Cure, from Black all the way to Sky. Cure Bright even makes an appearance!
    • Welp, Delicious Party♡Pretty Cure ended and no sign of Hirogaru Sky- wait, Hirogaru Sky is joining the Crunchyroll simulcast lineup after all? Thanks, Crunchyroll!
    • Okay, what other types of Cures are we getting...hang on, we're getting our first full male Cure? And an adult one as well?! And one who is outright a baby?!?
  • The trailer for the 20th anniversary, which serves as the Non-Serial Movie for Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure, features, among the many team-ups, Prism and Rabirin (alongside Rabirin's Cure partner, Nodoka).
    • OK, Cure Echo is deconfirmed, She's not going to be in the movie... Wait a minute. Who was that in that clip? She's back!? All the Cures, period, are in the movie?!?
