- Adam Warlock has enough strength to fight the likes of Thanos and Thor in hand to hand combat, can fly faster than supraluminal velocities and shrug off blows from other cosmic and god-like characters.
- Aquaman is able to toss cruise ships around and physically move underwater tectonic plates, swim at great speeds (at least 10,000 feet per second) and thanks to his Atlantean physiology can take blows from the likes of Superman and Wonder Woman.
- The Authority:
- Apollo has super strength, can fly around the globe in less than 30 seconds and is durable enough to take a dip in molten lava and shrug off blows from other meta-humans.
- Midnighter has been shown as strong enough to dismember enemies with his bare hands and is able to move faster than the human eye.
- Batman:
- The Dark Knight himself even by Non-Powered Costumed Hero with Charles Atlas Super Power standards is very much this. Batman is strong enough to lift 1,000 lbs, punch through stone and steel, overpower several super powered foes and take on upwards of 100s of Mooks and even inhuman legions of Man-Bats. He's also fast dodge bullets (even from Deadshot), catch arrows out of the air, throw a batarang at 100 mph and most ludicrously was able to dodge Darkseid's Omega beams. Bruce is also tough enough to endure getting brutally beaten by much stronger opponents like getting slammed head first into the ground by a possessed Wonder Woman, as well as survive getting poisoned and subjected to the vacuum of space for 24 seconds. Whenever Batman gets into Powered Armour this gets taken up to eleven with Batman able to take on Superman, the Justice League and even Darkseid.
- Bane, the man who broke the Bat, is built like a truck (and that's before using his Super Serum Venom) and not only faster than he looks, but smarter, too. While his speed isn't anywhere near the upper reaches of the DC echelon, he's incredibly fast and strong compared to the majority of Batman's rogues gallery. In the Knightfall Novelization, he pulls a near Stealth Hi/Bye by going from standing over Batman to somehow being atop a roof with few toeholds on the wall 17 feet above Bats. Bats notes that it's barely possible, but he'd have had to be extremely fast since he looked down for like a few seconds.
- Two other Batman villains apply.
- Killer Croc
, like real life crocodiles he’s surprisingly fast and has a bullet resistant hide. Croc can not only smash through concrete, lift a school bus and equal Bane but also survive a punch from Supergirl. Although being a Batman villain Croc suffers from being only as Strong as They Need to Be and Depending on the Writer, with the regular Badass Normal Bat-Family generally overpowering him like clockwork. Played straighter in the modern Suicide Squad comics where Croc proves to be a Mook Horror Show and even tanks a onslaught of Heat Vision from goddamn General Zod himself. - Clayface (Basil Karlo) although he looks as slow as a Blob Monster ought to be, he is actually incredibly fast having been able to tag the ninja-like Batman frequently and has even gotten the jump on Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Cheetah who have Super-Speed. As for strength Clayface is strong enough to lift cars, destroy buildings and has even given members of the Justice League trouble and due to his mud-like composition he’s nigh-impervious to most damage. While Karlo is defeated often, Batman himself admits he can’t actually take Clayface in a physical fight, needing tricks and gadgets to beat him.
- Killer Croc
- Cassandra Cain even compared to Batman himself is a Lightning Bruiser. Her feats include casually weaving in between automatic gunfire like it's nothing and dodging Heat Vision, punching through concrete and shattering a sword with her hand and she's even survived getting shot four times and kept going. There's some suggestion that Cass has some supernatural heritage which would go some ways into explaining half the stunts she pulls off.
- Red Hood has become this in more recent comics, thanks in no small part to his use of Venom (like the aforementioned Bane), much to the disapproval of his adoptive father Batman. Jason with Venom is strong enough to lift a part of a collapsing building, punch through a submarine, break out of an alien's Combat Tentacles as well as fast enough to dodge gunfire, leap across buildings and durable enough to tank several underwater explosions. Even Supergirl (a Kryptonian) was amazed seeing Red Hood in action.
- Black Bolt is a Marvel powerhouse Lightning Bruiser and while he's better known for his Super-Scream his physical stats are nothing to scoff at. He's strong enough to destroy helicopters and cars with his strikes and punch around Hulk, Thing, and Gladiator. He's fast enough to intercept missiles, dodge beams of "solidified gravity" and once flew from New York into space within a few minutes (at the very least) to reach a solar flare. He's durable enough to tank a force that would've "killed a dinosaur", survived a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown from Thanos and most impressively was inside the Terrigen Bomb when it exploded and ripped a hole in space and time... and was okay afterward.
- Captain America while he tends to get overshadowed by the upper brass of the Marvel Universe is still a Lightning Bruiser in his own right thanks to the Super-Soldier Serum bringing him to the peak of human ability. Cap is able to bench 11000 pounds, run 50 mph, catch a missile in his bare hands, jump 30 feet in the air, take on multiple super powered opponents at once and jump out of planes without a parachute on a regular basis. Dialed up to eleven with Ultimate Marvel Captain America, who's explicitly superhuman being strong, fast and tough enough to match Spider-Man and give even The Hulk a helluva fight.
- The same sentiment applies to others who’ve taken enhancements in the MU such as Black Widow (Russian Super-Soldier Serum), Winter Soldier (Infinity Formula) and Black Panther (Heart Shaped Herb). Depending on the Writer this just puts them slightly above the trained human level, or makes them capable of snapping a men's neck with a simple kick like Black Widow has done, or fast enough to dodge gunfire at point blank range like the Winter Soldier has done or durable enough to survive blows that would kill a bull elephant like Black Panther has done.
- Shazam a.k.a. Billy Batson/Captain Marvel thanks to having the strength of Hercules (further augmented by power of Zeus), the speed of Mercury and a high amount of Nigh-Invulnerability is literal Lightning Bruiser. He’s frequently matched Superman in raw might and since he lacks any Kryptonite Factor he tends to have the edge in the majority of his bouts with Clark who is Weak to Magic.
- Can’t forget Black Adam Billy’s Archenemy (or just Anti-Hero Substitute Depending on the Writer) who’s been able to give Superman a hard time, K.O Powergirl with a Shockwave Clap and fly through The Spectre, survive planet shattering beatdowns and even out-sped the original Flash Jay Garrick. Even when Brought Down to Normal Adam could kill Yeti with his bare hands.
- Captain Marvel a.k.a. Carol Danvers is, at baseline, strong enough to lift a Celestial into space, fast enough to reach the edge of the atmosphere from Broadway in less than two minutes (moving at Mach 246), and get from Mars to Earth in 17 minutes, which is minimally Mach 155938, and she hits hard enough to take down a Hulkbuster. That's not even getting into the energy powers, or when she's amped from absorbing energy into Binary mode.
- Deadpool, although often Played for Laughs can still match and overpower Wolverine, Captain America Taskmaster and Black Panther in strength, easily keep up with Spider-Man and dodge Bullesye’s Improbable Aiming Skills and of course due to his completely ridiculous Healing Factor can cheerfully bounce back from powerful attacks from everyone from Thor to Thanos. Although thanks to no longer being immortal, he can’t regenerate from being turned to ash like he used to.
- Deathstroke as seen in multiple Teen Titans and Justice League of America books, is a deadly Lightning Bruiser. Thanks to a Super Serum and Nth metal armour, he can swing around slabs of concrete, brutalise metahumans, equal or outright stomp Batman and go toe to toe with both Wonder Woman and Superman to the point of drawing blood. He’s fast enough to dodge gunfire, catch a superhuman attacking him from behind and at one point in New 52 got the Flash’s Super-Speed himself. His Nth metal armour generally protects him most harm and he even has a force field to save him from getting splattered by a pissed off Superman.
- Drax the Destroyer especially in his debut was strong enough to lift well over 100 tons and was comparable to The Hulk, fly at light speeds and durable enough to survive blows from Thanos and has a Healing Factor. Modern comics have dialed Drax back to the extent where he’s no longer the powerhouse he was in the 70s and 80s (he can no longer fly in space), though he’s still quite the Lightning Bruiser in his own right.
- Fantastic Four:
- The Thing can move at athletic speeds despite his size and rock-like mass. He’s frequently matched his rival the aforementioned Hulk in strength (even knocking him out on at least a few occasions) and even successfully clobbered Thor whom is usually more of a Lightning Bruiser than either of them. Not to mention Thing is so durable he can No-Sell a nuclear blast alongside Hulk, hell the only two things that have breached the Thing’s stoney hide are Wolverine’s Adamantium claws and Hulk’s punches.
- Doctor Doom is a very impressive Lightning Bruiser in his own right. Thanks to Powered Armor and magic, he has the strength to hold his own against Thing and Hulk, speed to block Flying Brick Sentry blitzing him at top speed (with only 7% of his suit's power left) and the sheer durability to survive Thanos blasting him with the Infinity Gauntlet. Even when Mr Fantastic or Iron Man manage to surpass Doom with their own technology, Doom can still fall back on sorcery to keep up with or defeat them.
- Super-Skrull even compared to other mimic characters is ridiculous powerful due to having all the powers of the Four. He’s strong enough to clobber Thor, Thing and Silver Surfer, fast enough to fly circles around Human Torch, is mistaken for a missile and is durable enough for shrug off blows from most of Marvel’s heroes and even Mjölnir. Worse still thanks to having Sue’s Barrier Warrior powers and Reed and Johnny’s stretchiness and fire powers respectively Super Skrull can effectively defend against most attacks and has excellent range.
- The Flash, whenever the writers don't forget how much it sucks to be punched by someone going that fast. This has varied over the years, and still varies with the writer. In Wally West's first hundred issues or so, he could usually hit no harder than a typical athlete — his aura absorbed most of the energy. As the editor pointed out, Wally would break his hands with every punch otherwise. When the Speed Force was introduced, it quickly became a catch-all answer to physics gripes; thus Wally's been delivering super-punches again, apparently using the Speed Force to sneak around Newton's third. However, all Flashes have the durability part down pat, because of their Healing Factor.
- Gamora, she's not "The Deadliest Woman in the Galaxy/Universe" for shits and giggles. Thanks to Training from Hell from her adoptive father Thanos (see below) and some Bio-Augmentation for extra measure she's fast enough to regularly dodge lasers and Eye Beams from her dad. She's tough enough to survive getting clobbered by multiple galactic heavy hitters and scorched alive by an artificial sun. And she's strong enough to go blow to blow with the likes of Ronan the Accuser, Carol Davners, She-Hulk and even her father whom she beheaded with the Power Stone adorned Infinity Blade. He got better though.
- Ghost Rider is definitely this. With the Spirit of Vengeance and Hellfire GR is strong enough to pull whole skyscrapers down, move faster than Mjölnir (which can travel across the universe) thrown by an angry Thor and durable enough to tank a beatdown from World War Hulk thanks to being completely invulnerable to everything except Holy Weapons. If that wasn’t enough Ghost Rider has even beaten up Mephisto who's a Reality Warper, Doctor Strange himself claims the Rider has “God-like” power even compared to his own sorcery and other high tiers in Marvel.
- Green Lantern, or any Lantern of any colour for that matter. Super strength, light-speed flight and high durability is just the baseline abilities of a Power-Ring Wielder.
- Hellboy is much faster than he looks, and being a Half-Human Hybrid who can break stone, steel and punch out humongous monsters and withstand gunfire and explosions which very much qualifies him for being a Lightning Bruiser.
- The Incredible Hercules, who's as strong as Thor, his superior at hand to hand, and fast enough to tag Marvel's Superman analog (who, admittedly, was trying to talk Herc down) The Sentry with a Venom covered fist. Herc's only weakness is his inability to fly, unlike Thor and Sentry, but he's quick and agile enough that it usually doesn't matter.
- The Incredible Hulk: The Hulk is not only the strongest one there is and nigh-invulnerable, but he's also shockingly fast as SHIELD discovered the hard way. So is his wife, Betty Ross, when she was Harpy and Red She-Hulk. During the Superman / Hulk crossover, Superman attempts to grapple the Hulk to calm him down, only to find himself almost instantly flung into space, causing Supes to remark, "How can someone that big be so fast?"
- Hulk’s cousin She-Hulk is no slouch herself being able to toss dinosaurs around, lift greater weights than the Thing can, move fast enough to dodge Iron Man’s attacks and tank getting smashed through entire cities and even attacks from her bigger cousin Bruce. Shulkie’s Arch-Enemy Titania is of similar mold being strong, fast and tough enough to give Jen a hard time and sometimes beat her outright.
- A lot of Hulk’s villains and allies such as Abomination, Red Hulk, Doc Samson, A-Bomb and Skaar (his son) can move and react at high speeds despite their massive sizes as well as match Hulk in strength and toughness.
- Lyra who despite lacking the muscle mass of the aforementioned Hulk characters, is still incredibly strong, incredibly fast and incredibly tough. She once gracefully dodged Ares (a Physical God)'s axe attack and brought him down with a single backhand punch.
- Invincible aka Mark Grayson can lift 400 tons, rip most villains to shreds, blitz across countries flying at high speed in seconds and as alluded to by his namesake is invulnerable to most damage. Though Mark is just a Half-Human Hybrid, his father Nolan is a Viltrimite a Flying Brick species that are even stronger, faster and tougher than him (at least for most of the comic). One time when Mark combined his strength with his father and another Viltrimite Thaddeus they could bust through a whole goddamn planet.
- Other aliens and characters from the same comic also fit the Lightning Bruiser bill e.g Allen the Alien and Battle Beast who are strong, fast and tough enough to give Viltrimites a run for their money. Or Dinosaurus, a Genius Bruiser who can match both Mark and Allen in strength and toughness and can move at surprisingly speeds for his size.
- Iron Fist fits the Lightning Bruiser bill thanks to his Ki Manipulation, Danny with his chi is strong enough to destroy helicarriers and punch around The Hulk and his son Skaar. Chi also boosts Iron Fist’s speed to at least 35mph, he’s casually dodged bullets at point blank range and chi also makes Iron Fist tough enough to survive a train packed with explosives exploding into him. Additionally in under certain circumstances Danny can use chi to teleport through dimensions like Instant Transmission. Similarly Shang-Chi uses chi to boost his strength, speed and durability well out of his Weight Class, to the point where Shang can down a Killer Robot and overpower a dragon.
- Iron Man Depending on the Writer or more accurately depending on the Powered Armour, can punch with the force of a wrecking ball, move like a jet going past the sound barrier and shrug off attacks like a battle tank. Then there's the Extremis Suit, Mystic Suit, Thorbuster etc which further boost Tony's strength, speed, durability, and overall power to the extreme and even god-like levels. Likewise there’s his best buddy War Machine who’s tossed around tanks, can fly at over Mach 620 and tanked everything from [1]’s lightning to getting nuked.
- Jessica Jones while not as flashy as others listed here, still fits the criteria. She’s strong enough to toss cars around, tough enough to survive explosions with only Clothing Damage and fly at high speeds, unfortunately she gets air sickness and dislikes flying in general. So it’s hard to gage how much of a Flying Brick Jess is.
- Lobo is a ridiculous Lightning Bruiser being ridiculously strong (he’s beat up Superman and pulled around a being of stellar mass), fast (he was able to predict Flash's movement and fast enough to chain him in the face) and tough (he’s taken planet destroying attacks with minimal damage and even if he does get hurt he’s got an insane Healing Factor).
- Luke Cage while he seems like a Mighty Glacier being better known for his incredible strength and durability, still has run fast enough to catch bullets with Super-Reflexes and has even done flips around larger villains. When fighting the Dark Avengers Cage could intercept Superia who's a Flying Brick and punch her out of the air.
- Martian Manhunter thanks to his Bizarre Alien Biology is strong enough to overpower Superman as well as Wonder Woman and can move planets around like they can, fast enough fly around the earth as a green-blur and harden his body to point where it can absorb almost any kinetic energy. His Drama-Preserving Handicap is of course fire though this is largely Depending on the Writer, as sometimes its just a psychosomatic fear born out of the memories of seeing his family burning alive, while at other times it’s a full on Kryptonite Factor for MM that debilitates his strength and leaves him vulnerable to attack.
- The Mighty Thor is insanely strong - no one's quite figured out whether he's stronger than the Hulk, but he has a good chance, and he's gone toe to toe with Superman and the Martian Manhunter in the past and come off the better (though he later lost to Supes, as Supes knew he could take the heavy stuff. Thor didn't know that Supes could take it as well as dish it). Thor also flies at FTL velocity, being fast enough to tag speedsters like Quicksilver breaking the sound barrier and once the crossed the entire universe in five seconds and has frequently managed to damage and defeat unfathomably powerful beings like Galactus and Glory and survived the brunt of their attacks.
- Gorr the God Butcher from Thor: God of Thunder (2012), out of all Thor’s Rogues Gallery fits this the best. Thanks to the power of the Necrosword and his own Villainous Valor he can take on and overpower multiple versions of Thor in strength, shatter moons and planets like glass and being a Flying Brick himself can blitz the Prince of Asgard who as mentioned above is ludicrous fast even by comic book standards. Gorr is also built tonka tough, he’s walked off getting his arm cut off, getting hit with massive lightning bolts and even ate the Wave-Motion Gun that is All-Father Thor’s God Blast which propelled him "several light-years" away in a matter of seconds but he still came back swinging. It’s no wonder Gorr could kill so many gods.
- Richard Rider aka Nova is easily one of Marvel’s top Lightning Bruisers. Thanks to the Nova Force he’s strong enough to match blows with Silver Surfer and even more impressively tear apart Annihilus. Nova can also fly at light speeds and tank blasts even from Galactus.
- The Sentry, along with X-Men’s Gladiator, Hyperion, Blue Marvel and Sun-God are considered Marvel’s main Superman-expies having god-like strength, superior speed and will shrug off planet busting blows. Sentry in particular lacks a Kryptonite Factor making it quite hard to defeat or kill him.
- Silver Surfer always ranks high on Marvel’s power chart: he’s incredibly strong being able to move around entire planets and slap around Thing and Hulk. Fast enough to surf in space at speeds faster than light and go through space wormholes. He’s also durable enough to tank hits from the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos himself and even recover from being blasted by his former master Galactus. Even when Brought Down to Normal in Planet Hulk, he could still wipe the floor with every combatant and give Hulk a thrashing before being eventually defeated.
- Most mimic characters can turn into this: the Super-Adaptoid, for instance, is as fast as Quicksilver and as tough and strong as Hercules, and Amazo has Flash's speed and about four different kinds of Super-Strength.
- Violet from Rat Queens is a pretty redhead who is shockingly fast for her size (she's a dwarf) and packs an amazingly large arsenal of swords and other assorted implements of destruction.
- Crux from Red Hood and the Outlaws, being a man turned hulking green alien bat monster. He's able to blitz Red Hood, shrug off More Dakka and survive a self-destruct device Speedy attaches to him. Crux is even strong enough to fight Starfire and even manages to defeat her.
- Savage Dragon has ludicrous super strength being able to throw buildings around like Spawn, but also once bent a bus around Hellboy to trap him. He’s also fast to dodge sonic attacks and can No-Sell bullets and explosions and even if he does get hurt he can just reattach limbs with his Healing Factor.
- Marv from Sin City is capable of avoiding gunfire, running after cars, and has even used a fair bit of agility to take down two different groups of SWAT teams. All of which defies his massive size and allows him to take down the agile and deadly Kevin, Goldie's murderer.
- Miho would seem like a Fragile Speedster until you take into consideration she’s overpowered Manute who’s three times her size and recovered from a grenade blast at point blank range. In Family Matters she’s even more of a Lightning Bruiser as she wears Roller Skates.
- Wallace from Hell and Back is the deadly combination of the aforementioned Marv’s strength and toughness and Miho’s speed and skill. Being a ex-vet Wallace has incredible combat prowess with guns, blades, throwing stars and enough martial arts skill that he curb stomps Manute as easily as Marv did. In the climax he goes One-Man Army on the Wallenquist Organization.
- Spawn can rip foes apart, toss chunks of buildings around, knock bullets out the air with his chains as well as shrug off just about anything with his Healing Factor. And that’s just Spawn’s baseline abilities and not getting into his More Dakka or even larger arsenal of demonic powers.
- Spider-Man: While Spider-Man isn't near the upper-echelons of power in comic books, among the "street-level" heroes and villains he usually interacts with, he qualifies. He can lift 20 tons over his head, has enhanced reflexes and speed (not to mention that his webs enhance his mobility considerably), and his enhanced musculature gives him superhuman durability and endurance, which is further enhanced by his status as a Determinator. At his best Spidey is a One-Man Army able to Speed Blitz the whole X-Men in two pages and even defeat Firelord barehanded viva Victory by Endurance, Spider-Man has also survived things that would certainly kill most superhumans e.g a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown from a Phoenix Force-enhanced Colossus.
- Cosmic Spider-Man dials all Spidey’s traits up to eleven and beyond with the added benefit of Flight. Cosmic Spider can not only move faster than light but can lift things well over 100 tons, defeat the aforementioned Hulk and Thor as well as survive the crushing pressure of a black hole.
- A lot of Spidey’s Rogues Gallery can fall under this (like The Lizard and Scorpion who have been a match in strength, speed and durability to Peter), but Rhino in particular can give Hulk, Juggernaut and Thor trouble as well as move faster than a train and shrug off bullets and missiles. Spidey in most comics has to defeat Rhino pragmatically instead of just trying to out brawl him.
- Venom and Carnage are Lightning Bruisers as well as having all of Spidey’s agility and web-slinging skill with the addition of being several degrees stronger than him and due to The Symbiote are extremely hard to put down. Venom has been clobbered by Juggernaut and Carnage once got ripped in half by Sentry but neither case was enough to kill them. Worse still they can use the Symbiote to make bladed or spiked weapons and long-range attacks.
- Green Goblin surprisingly qualifies since besides being able to lift 10 tons same as his nemesis Spidey, he can casually dodge gunfire and blasts from Hobgoblin and survive falling from great heights, a whole bag of his own pumpkin bombs exploding on him and enraged beatdowns from Spider-Man, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. In Dark Avengers Norman as the Goblin could effortlessly dodge a Sword Beam from Swordsman and brutally overpower him (after Swordsman had just defeated Venom and an army of soldiers) and after that survive some Blasting Time from Songbird. This is all helped by his goblin glider which can go 90 miles per hour.
- Played straighter with Ultimate Spider-Man version of Green Goblin, who’s a massive Hulk-like beast with Playing with Fire powers.
- The Kingpin. A lot of people mistake his considerable size as being fat. In reality, it's all hard-built muscle and he's spent decades training himself in hand-to-hand combat. In their first confrontations with him, both Spider-Man and Daredevil made the same mistake of assuming that Fisk was a Mighty Glacier, only to be caught off guard by how fast and durable he is. However, Fisk has also overestimated how he matches up against Spider-Man - as Spidey brutally demonstrated in Back in Black, he can effortlessly beat Fisk to the brink of death in seconds.
- Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) compared to most other Spider-Women is a quite powerful Lightning Bruiser in her own right. She’s strong enough to lift 7 tons, beat Skrulls to death and swing around heavy machinery and tough enough to tank a oil rig explosion and blows from opponents much stronger than her. Jessica is also extremely acrobatic to the extent that even Spider-Man compliments her reflexes despite the fact she lacks his Spider-Sense. She can also glide in the air and shoot venom Hand Blasts.
- Starfire is a speedy super strong Flying Brick who can shrug off hits that would easily kill her human teammates.
- Sub-Mariner aka Namor is Marvel's first Lightning Bruiser (he even came out barely a year after Supes). Subby is strong enough to toss around a WWII destroyers, match blows with The Hulk, fast enough to swim 60 miles per hour and fly faster than jet planes and durable enough to tank beatings from everyone from Doctor Doom to Thanos.
- Superman:
- Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive. Even in comparison to the other Flying Brick heroes of The DCU, Superman is stronger, faster and tougher than the vast majority of them.
- Likewise every other Kryptonian/Daxamite character in DC: Power Girl, Supergirl, Superboy, Mon-El/Valor, Laurel Gand, Sodam Yat (who is even more so due to the addition of a Green Lantern ring!), etc.
- Mongul the space tyrant, similar to the Hulk is Faster Than They Look as he can match Superman’s great speed, in addition to being a degree stronger than him and easily as durable. Supes typically needs to go all out, just overpower the big hulking yellow bastard in strength.
- Doomsday, the beast that almost killed Superman in his debut. While he's decayed somewhat, he is still a nightmarishly durable behemoth who is stronger than even Superman and can keep up with him.
- Vartox. While in modern comics he has powers roughly equal to Superman's, Pre-Crisis Vartox was the Always Someone Better, with strength, speed, durability, senses, etc far superior to Superman's.
- Darkseid tends to be a Mighty Glacier even more so than his expy Thanos below, being much stronger Superman though he lacks speed and mobility. However in DC Rebirth when he gets rejuvenated into a younger body Darkseid becomes a Lightning Bruiser as seen in Wonder Woman 37# where fights and beats Zeus and moves at Superman-level speeds, even leaving a blur behind him.
- Wraith the Arc Villain of New 52 Superman Unleashed, a hulking genetically created superweapon who absorbs solar radiation to a greater extent than Supes. As result he’s strong enough to kick Clark halfway across the continental United States, keep up with Kryptonian speed (even pulling off a Punch Catch) and is able to shrug off multiple planet cracking blows and Heat Vision from the Man of Steel. He's also developed a whole range of skills that Superman won't pick up for decades. On the other hand, thanks to those skills, his soldier mentality, and being backed up by an army, he's never actually had to learn how to fight - which Clark points out when he reduces it to a contest of speed and strength, beating him to a pulp.
- Rogol Zaar, a Kryptonian hunter is the vein of the previous examples being a Hulk-sized foe that can easily match Supes and co in strength and invulnerability, but what makes him stand out are his Super-Reflexes as seen in Action Comics 1000# when slamming Clark into the ground with his battle axe, he is able to blast Supergirl zooming towards him from behind without even turning around.
- Lex Luthor much like Batman above can be considered as much despite usually being a Badass Normal. Even without additional buffs, he’s matched Batman, Nightwing and Deathstroke in speed and skill and managed to overpower them and being Made of Iron has survived getting sniped in the chest and falling out of a helicopter as well as getting thrown around Kryptonians. Upon donning Powered Armour he can easily match both Superman and Supergirl in combat, managing to draw blood and once even impaled Kara. Though granted Lex does exploit the Kryptonite Factor to achieve this most of the time).
- In Justice League (2018) when Lex is turned into a Martian-Human hybrid empowered by Multiversal Tenth Metal aka Apex Lex, he can take on the entire Justice League, react to Flash’s speed and beat the shit out of Superman, Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter and recover from most attacks (including getting sliced by Diana’s atom cutting sword) with his Healing Factor.
- Taskmaster with his Photographic Memory most certainly qualifies, besides engaging in brutal fights with the likes of Captain America, Punisher, Iron Fist, Deadpool and Spider-Man and surviving blows from Hyperion, he’s casually caught bullets in his hands, nabbed a shuriken thrown from behind him and blocked a RPG after it’s fired. Tasky is surprisingly strong too being able to flip Iron Man over and send both Spidey and Miles flying out a window, despite being only moderately enhanced to peak human ability with a serum.
- Thanos though he can easily dip into Mighty Glacier still moves and reacts at speeds more suitable for someone half his size as well as having god-like strength and being nigh-unkillable. He’s frequently fought, kept up and overpowered other Lightning Bruisers listed here and even matched and defeat his own son Lightning Bruiser son Thane whom was powered by the Phoenix Force at the time.
- Thanos’s Elite Mooks the Black Order take after him being strong, fast and damn near impossible to kill. Black Dwarf, Corvus Glaive and Promixa Midnight, in particular, invoke this being able to give the likes of Ronan, Super-Skrull, Hulk, Rogue, Hercules and Luke Cage a hard time.
- The Vision is a prominent if underrated example. He’s able to lift well over 50 tons, fly at high speeds and make his body as hard as diamond. Although he’s susceptible to breaking apart on occasion. Viz at his best has managed to blitz the aforementioned Silver Surfer in combat and during a more recent comic one hit K.O Jane Foster while she was playing Distaff Counterpart to Thor.
- Wonder Woman:
- Wonder Woman herself has a high level of damage resistance that allows her to No-Sell most blunt damage, a Healing Factor, is traditionally stronger than Hercules, and swifter than Mercury, (that is faster than Superman and near his strength level) with the addition of much excellent martial arts training and mastery.
- Cheetah's speed is much greater than that of the animal she's named after, and Post-Crisis the source of Barbara's power also gives her Super-Strength and toughness, ash her powers in particular come from acting as the avatar of a god.
- Other Amazons fit the bill, in particular Donna Troy, Cassie Sandsmark and Artemis who are strong enough to knock around Kryptonians, move faster than bullets and lasers (and deflect them too) as well as being able to survive horrific injuries that could kill most people.
- Wonder Woman (1942): Part of Helen Alexandros' blessing from Ares grants her the ability to flight at near lightning speeds with increased strength and durability while she's acting as Silver Swan.
- Wonder Man has super strength to match the aforementioned Sentry, is fast enough to clear the distance between himself, a trained assassin and her target from the street to the local restaurant, and has Nigh-Invulnerability and a Healing Factor. He’s also got energy manipulation allowing for some Combo Platter Powers.
- X-Men:
- The Juggernaut (pictured on the main page) can make earthquakes with his punches, run at a top speed of 111 miles per hour, can run through anything, and does not tire. He’s also nigh impossible to kill, and will continue kicking ass even if he’s had all his skin and organs removed and is just a big red skeleton.
- Beast is incredibly strong (capable of going toe-to-toe with Iron Man Depending on the Writer) as well as incredibly fast and agile, thanks to his ape-like physique, which also makes him much tougher than your average human (or even mutant, for that matter).
- Colossus while a Mighty Glacier originally has geared more towards Lightning Bruiser in more modern comics, especially when getting the Juggernaut's powers.
- Wolverine can sometimes fall into this being strong enough to hold up a elevator and throw bears around, fast enough to slice bullets and of course durable enough to shrug off almost everything. The extreme Healing Factor tends to help. Other times he's merely super athletic like Nightcrawler and Gambit.
- Rogue full stop. Thanks to her Power Parasite powers she has Super-Strength, Super-Speed and Super-Toughness and sometimes Rogue has even exceeded limits of those (Ms Marvel-Wonder Man) who she took her powers from. She's the X-Men One-Woman Army and while she does get hit with The Worf Effect and Chickification a lot she's still one of the most powerful members.
- Warpath, in his original X-Force design, hits like Colossus, moves like Spider-Man, and fights like Wolverine. Over the years, his actual powers have been hit by Depending on the Writer on everything from how powerful he is to what powers he has, but most of his incarnations are still some degree of Lightning Bruiser.
- Apocalypse much like Thanos is way faster than he looks being able to tag the likes of Wolverine and Gambit. He’s also strong enough to restrain The Hulk, beat the crap out of Thor and thanks to his Celestial armour is so tough that he once laughed off a Combination Attack from the X-Men and the Inhumans
