In-Game

    Main Story

Episode 02: Separated Hearts

  • Franka and Liskarm love to insult and make fun of each other despite the dire situations they're getting themselves into. This chapter has a lot of such exchanges between the two.
    • When their exit door is locked:
      Amiya: ...This door is locked.
Liskarm: Stand back, I'll blast it open—
Texas: ... There's no need for that. Just kick it down.
      Liskarm: ...
Franka: Liskarm, you should learn from her.
Liskarm: I have my own way of doing things. Got a problem with that?!
    • When they learned that Misha's oripathy is getting worse. Liskarm and Franka still have some time to poke and insult each other:
Liskarm: Amiya, if Franka passes away, I hope that Rhodes Island will cremate her.
      Franka: Hey! That's mean, Liskarm!
Liskarm: You're the one who's always talking about passing the infection on to me!
  • During a training session, Dobermann urges Jessica to conserve ammunition since etched originium bullets for her pistol are difficult and expensive to make. Luckily, Jessica says she was prepared for that and ordered an entire crate of ammunition…by diverting some of the money from her snack budget. After a moment of Stunned Silence, Dobermann incredulously demands to know just what kind of snacks Jessica has been eating.

Episode 04: Burning Run

  • When Kal'tsit wants to talk to the Doctor in private, Amiya tries to join their conversation as well in a playful manner, but to expected results from the strict Kal'tsit:
    Amiya: May I listen in?
    Kal'tsit: You may not.
Amiya: I can cover my ears...
Kal'tsit: You cannot. You should get going.
  • The snarky retort in Operation 4-4's cutscene when W compares Mephisto to a limbless kid who would want to put make-up on W's face using only his mouth.

Episode 05: Necessary Solutions

  • This exchange between Swire and Ch'en in the second stage's cutscene is left unfiltered in the English location:
Swire: Ch'en... you really are a piece of shit.
Ch'en: And you can shove it up yours.
  • When they're fighting against the Reunion inside the Paci Plaza, Hoshiguma still has time to react to a very expensive piano.
Hoshiguma: They didn't move that piano away, probably because it's too heavy. That alone is worth 1.8 million LMD. The li'l Miss was boasting to me about it, so try to be careful.
Reunion Caster: You won't get away!
L.G.D. Agent: Take cover! Quick! Hide behind that piano!
    Hoshiguma: Oops.
    (Reunion Caster blasts the piano)
L.G.D. Agent: They smashed through our cover! Relocate!
Hoshiguma: 1.8 million gone... just like that.

Episode 06: Partial Necrosis

  • While generally a rather serious and dark chapter, there is this bit of banter between Blaze and Greythroat at the end:
Greythroat: Why don't you wait for the medics to get here?
Blaze: Because I'm in real bad shape. Elite operators... gotta look tougher than this.
Greythroat: ...You'd rather die than look uncool for a minute.
Blaze: Why do you say things you know will hurt me...?
Blaze: And do you know who's our support medic on this op? It's Gavial. That Gavial. She said she'd wash her hands and be right over!
Blaze: How do you feel about getting my blood splashed in your face?

Episode 07: The Birth of Tragedy

  • One scene at 7-6 has Kal'tsit reveal what used to happen when the Doctor reached zero sanity before their amnesia:
Kal'tsit: You might not remember, but I do. I remember you had quite a talent for heating up rations by pouring boiling water directly into your mouth at four in the morning.
  • When Rhodes Islands was sending teams to board the core city, they needed something to distract the Reunion Movement to cover their entry. Nearl decided to use her Arts to redirect the sunlight in order to blind the guards, but accidentally overdid it such that her own team was flashed as well, which she refused to admit out of embarrasment.

Episode 08: Roaring Flare

    Side Stories

"Grani and the Knights' Treasure"

  • The bounty hunters who were hiding from Skadi were so scared senseless that they didn't realize Grani having a casual conversation with them from behind, asking why they're terrified. When Skadi leaves and the bounty hunters finally realized what's going on, Grani could only end their conversation with an awkward "Oops".
  • When one of the bounty hunters offers a bottle of water for their leader that Skadi just hurled to the canal nearby, he angrily refuses, retorting that he drunk enough water already.

"Heart of Surging Flame: Obsidian Festival"

  • For her introduction, Ifrit burns the butt of a bodyguard who's trying to arrest the Doctor.
    Ifrit: Medium rare it is!
  • As Rhodes Island raids Cronin's office for evidence of his plot, Vigna pretends to talk like a delivery girl note  before kicking down the door and proceeds to say the memetic "FBI! Open up!", admitting that she always wanted to say that. Even funnier, she completely screws up the timing and only said it after she already broke down the door. You can even lampshade this.
  • Ch'en and Big Bob show up as anonymous tourists during the event. The funnier part is that the game completely handwaves them without acknowledging them properly at all, just calling them "Female Tourist C" and "Male Tourist B".
  • The Doctor is apparently constantly wearing their suit and mask even while on vacation in a tropical city. It's a miracle that they haven't died of heat stroke already. For bonus points, Gummy calls them out on it if you try to help her sell food, saying that you'll scare away all her customers.
    • Similarly, Big Bob is still wearing his full blast suit despite being on the beach, much to the confusion of the other tourist he's talking with.
  • At one point when Cronin is being particularly vile, Hellagur suddenly punches him to knock him out. Afterwards, he simply apologizes, saying he lost control of himself, and nobody bats an eye.
  • The fact that the Doctor, of all people, started a brawl with the fans of whichever bands they weren't supporting. Amiya is not impressed once she has to deal with the fallout.
  • At one point, when Amiya is talking to the Doctor, one option you can choose is to have the Doctor splash her with water.
  • If the player votes for Alive Until Sunset, then the second obtainable Live Feed from the capsule machine provides the following priceless exchange:
KingofPsychicnote : Did you know that according to Arts research, those who are good at playing music show a better grasp over Originium Arts than ordinary people?
Horn of the Demon Kingnote : I think I'm already pretty good at Arts. So, if I keep practicing, I'll be able to become a master and make ⭐everyone⭐ happy right?
KingofPsychic: Whatever makes you happy...... So, what instrument do you play?
Horn of the Demon King: Once upon a time, in order to capture the hearts of my guests, I had to pour my heart and soul into practicing guitdaahwnoihwdjnaomcccccccccccccccccccccccccc
    Meteorite: .....what are you doing?
Handmade Knight 02note : He's currently pouring his heart and soul into fighting with cat for custody of the keyboard. Judging from this fierce battle, he has an exceptional talent for striking things.
Forget the guitar, we're witnessing the birth of a legendary drummer.
  • Again from the AUS Live Feed, the third entry reveals that Noir Cornenote  used to be a bassist for his band when he was in school, until one day he quit following his band's live performance despite said performance being a success. Why? Because during said day his car broke down and he couldn't make it, and no one in the audience or his bandmates realized he was missing until the performance was over.
  • The Live Feed for DDD has Angelina speculating on what the musician looks like without the mask. Franka expects a cuter and more energetic version of Liskarm. Liskarm's response is a very curt "Screw you!!"
  • Of all things, May's Obsgram username is "SherlockHonks" and it's a pun on two ways - The first half is from Sherlock Holmes, while the "Honks" part references her profile pic, a portrait of a cap-wearing goose from her Elite 2 artwork.
  • In the rerun event, Ifrit couldn't remember where she had seen Thorns before, thinking he was either the bodyguard who was following the Doctor and Ceylon a while ago or the person who was being chased by Leizi. Cutter informed her that Elysium was the one who was being chased by Leizi for drinking her smoothie while yelling out loud. Apparently, he and Thorns were betting on whether the next operator passing by would be male or female, and he lost as Cutter was the one passing by, meaning Elysium was betting for a male operator.

"Code of Brawl"

  • The animation trailer of "Code of Brawl" has the Penguin Logistics having a Bar Brawl with a group of armed gang members using wine bottles, while Sora is using a serving tray. A watching Bison looks at the off-screen battle unamused, then shifts his eyes to Emperor who just gulped down a bottle of wine and enjoying the scene.
  • Penguin Logistics can't seem to agree on their own set of rules, as this conversation reveals when they welcome Bison. It turns out, they actually mean the same thing, but their phrases didn't match.
Emperor: And you gotta remember the first rule of Penguin Logistics: "Don't sweat the small stuff."
Exusiai: Wasn't the first rule "live for the party" yesterday?
Croissant: The one I heard was "carpe diem."
    Emperor: ...pretty much.
  • To escape the bad guys at one point, Texas advised the PL crew to split up... except that she completely forgot to take Bison into account and resulting the poor guy to be left behind with the bad guys. So how did Bison escape the situation? Using a freaking bicycle that one of the civilians offered him to borrow. The mental image of the poor boy outrunning armed goons using a bicycle is amusing, to say the least.
  • Two of Capone's goons, in their efforts to gather information on the Rat King, make the fatal mistake of getting violent with an innocent civilian within earshot of Jaye and Waai Fu. When the goons try to threaten them, Waai Fu fights back, easily overpowering one of them while giving a dramatic speech about how evil will never triumph over justice. Jaye, taking on the other one, gives an equally dramatic speech likening him to a rotten fish. After seeing the mafioso's confused reaction, he concludes he just doesn't have Waai Fu's knack for mid-battle banter and dispatches him without trying to say anything cool.

"Ancient Forge"

  • The event focuses on Lava and Nian's script for a movie, featuring heavily idealized versions of themselves as the hero and villain respectively. Lava, in reality a newbie Caster with a lot of potential but a lot more room to grow, becomes The Ace of Rhodes Island complete with a cool new outfit, with her boundless knowledge and powerful Originium Arts making her the only one fit to fight against Nian. Likewise, while Nian is hinted to be exceptionally powerful in the lore, the movie takes this up to eleven and turns her into an unstoppable Person of Mass Destruction, singlehandedly causing more damage to the city of Lungmen than Reunion could ever hope to accomplish while overwhelming the L.G.D. and Rhodes Island with an ever-growing list of Story Breaker Powers. This all comes to a head as Nian shrugs off the only attack with any hope of defeating her and transforms the city into a Kaiju, prompting a frustrated Lava to complain she can't come up with a satisfying resolution anymore.
    • Ultimately, Nian relents and agrees to change the ending... to an abrupt Sequel Hook introducing her sister as a new villain, which only confuses and annoys Lava further.
    • Ironically enough, when Nian asks Closure for her thoughts on the script, she's surprised by just how little Nian embellished her abilities.
    • When Dusk later becomes an available Operator, one of her trust lines has her rather bluntly call all of her sister's movies "trash." She's so offended by Nian's movies that she wants to collect them all and burn them.

"Stories of Afternoon"

  • Aak asks 'Miss Feathers' in the medic department to resolve his argument with Warfarin. Ptilopsis immediately states that Silence will answer the question, admitting that she doesn't want to be saddled with a nickname as undignified as 'Miss Feathers'.
  • Matterhorn catches Ethan sneaking a bite from a dish he was having Gummy taste-test. After she leaves, he pulls him aside to reprimand him... and to ask him what he thought of it.
Ethan: Didn't that Gummy girl already stroke your ego? Need a quick tug from me too? Sure, fine. It blew me away, incredible flavor. And your biceps are huge.
    Matterhorn: Any additional glib remarks?
    Ethan: Oh yeah, tons.
    • Apparently the last time Ethan was caught stealing food from the kitchen he was forced to wear a sign telling everyone what he did, like a pet that was causing trouble.
  • Vanilla rejecting the Doctor's offer to watch her Originium Slugs. Not because she's afraid of them not being up to the task, but because she suspects the Doctor wants to eat them.
  • Vanilla's blunt response to Steward when he asks why he shouldn't touch one of her pet Originium Slugs on the spikes can qualify.
Vanilla: Oh, but be careful not to press the spikes on their shells. Otherwise...
    Steward Otherwise?
    Vanilla They explode.
  • A Noodle Incident involving Popukar once had her being invited to join Midnight's training, and somehow sent him flying from a single hit. Midnight is soundly embarrassed by the incident and wishes to never speak of it again, while Catapult finds it absolutely hilarious.

"Children of Ursus"

  • Gummy catches Ceobe trying to sneak into the kitchen while helping out in the cafeteria.
Gummy: Wooaahh! Kay, you can't go in there!
    Ceobe: I can't?
Gummy: You can't! Don't you see the sign on the door?
Ceobe: I see it. I see a red circle with a tilty red line going through it. I also see Kay.
Gummy: That means "Kay is not allowed in here." Got it?
    Ceobe: Got it.
Gummy: If you get it, why are you still going in!?
    Ceobe: Hungry.
Gummy: If you're hungry, you can just get in line and order something to eat.
    Ceobe: Hungry.
  • In the above scene, it is revealed that Ceobe is permanently barred from the kitchen because she keep stealing foods and the kitchen staffs put up a sign that she's forbidden to enter. Ceobe, being an illiterate Wild Child, can't read it and the sign is instead to inform whoever with her to stop her. However the kitchen staffs end up feeling sorry for the metaphorical dog-kicking and just put a basket of food at the kitchen entrance to appease her anyway.
  • At one point, Rosa tells Zima that she's trying to be honest with Zima by calling herself a shithead, but not a masochist. Zima however, doesn't understand what masochist means in her analogy. Rosa waves it off as one of "the aristocrats' hobbies".

Twilight of Wolumonde

  • During the climatic riot, Folinic and Suzuran end up dragging an injured rioter to treat him. The resultant banter between them reveals that the rioter's Oripathy is getting worse because he cheaped out from buying a proper fridge and had been cooling his food with Arts. Suzuran, a small child, then scolds this large Elafia man for prioritizing his money over his 100% mortality disease.
  • It's common practice to have bosses take a long, convoluted route through their stage to give you plenty of time to mount a defense and kill them before they reach your base, but TW-EX-8 is the only time the game offers an In-Universe explanation for it. According to the mission description, the reason Mudrock does a full lap around the stage before heading for your base is because she got lost and couldn't find it.

"The Great Chief Returns"

  • The opening scene of the event had Doctor in a state of coma, with an eerie voice talking to themselves... before Gavial slapped their face to snap out of it. And Doctor woke up just before Gavial grab their legs and windmilling them around.
    • When Doctor asked if Gavial slapped them to the face, Gavial gave a Blunt "Yes" response.
    • Should Doctor choose to stay silent, Gavial will be worried that Doctor had another amnesia due to the crash, and Doctor can either show them that they are not, or play along with the ruse.
  • Tails are Serious Business for the Archosaurians. When the group overheard the two Archosaurians arguing over thin and thick tails, Gavial suddenly steps in and sided with the pro-thin Archosaurian, which started the battle against the pro-thick faction.
  • While Doctor's party is resting in the trading post, they were under attack by a group of feral Archosaurians, with Utage in the lead. After driving them off and confront Utage, Utage says she met the attacking Archosaurians in the wild, and after a series of misunderstandings of language and hand gestures, she find herself at the head of the group charging towards the trading post, with no idea how to restrain them.
  • Blaze, true to form, responded to their plane getting hit by jumping off the ship while it was still hundreds of feet in the air. She landed in a rainforest, separated from everyone. Her reaction? Strip down to her swimsuit and go jungle diving while trying to regroup. She spends the entire rest of the event like this because its too hot to wear more layers.
    • Later on, she runs into Flint and they fight. Long story short, Blaze beats her ass silly. Flint's reaction is to beg to become Blaze's apprentice. Although Blaze is unsure of what to do, mostly because Flint doesn't even speak the same language as her, what she does do is keep sparring with Flint even after they regroup and are relaxing at a waterfall. This eventually results in Flint going all the way to joining them at Rhodes Island solely because of getting stomped by Blaze!
  • When Eunectes meets Lancet-2 for the first time, she starts drooling and nerding out over how advanced she is compared to anything she's seen before. At one point she has what can only be described as a nerdgasm, unable to do anything but utter gibberish before requesting to hug the robot. Even High Priest was so impressed that he started wooing Lancet-2.
    • Depending on how you choose to respond, you can add Doctor to the list as well, telling the High Priest to get his hands off of their Lancet-2. Lancet-2 is actually flustered by the Doctor's actions:
Lancet-2: "Oh, Doctor, to hear you suddenly come out and say that..... My heart isn't ready..."
  • After driving off Tomimi's united pack, Tomimi's last resort is presenting Lancet-2 and Dylan, the pilot of their ship, as hostages, with both desperately calling for Doctor's help. However, since their capture were actually part of the Doctor's plan for investigating the culprit of the crash, Doctor can either tell them to stop messing around, stay silent (read: giving a Death Glare of disappointment), or being a drama queen and play along. Eventually, Dylan decides to drop the act either because Doctor is not amused by their pranks, or Doctor is having too much fun for him to handle it.
    • Lancet-2 is the gift that keeps on giving. Her comment after presenting the evidence the Doctor had them keep safe for this moment really cements just what kind of ridiculous event this is:
  • It's revealed that Tomimi was the one who shot their plane down, with a rocket launcher, just to make Gavial stay in Sargon. Gavial proceeds to spank Tomimi by the tail which is very much akin to a parent punishing their misbehaving children.
    • And Tomimi's plan makes Utage muse on Tomimi having read too many third-rated romance novels for her own good for her to come up with this plan, as her plan is borderline Yandere.
Tomimi: "..The books said: 'If I can't capture his heart, then I'll keep him close to me.' The books also said: 'As long as he is by my side, it doesn't matter if he hates me.'"
Utage: "Whew... She's been slurping down trashy romance novels with a straw..."
  • Near the very beginning of the event, Ceobe finds some mushrooms, and being Ceobe, eats them. She spends the entire rest of the storyline high as a kite, randomly picking fights with everyone (and winning) before running off into the forest, only to come back into and out of the plot at random intervals. This ditzy Perro has absolutely no idea what is going on until the end when the hallucinations wear off and she still manages to unwittingly help Rhodes Island solve the incident!
    • For an extra layer of meta-hilarity, Ceobe being on a Mushroom Samba is the In-Universe justification for the Fungimist mode's existence. That's right, while she's off galivanting around in the middle of nowhere while stoned, she's fantasizing about all the battles you're engaging in Fungimist! note

"Maria Nearl"

  • Basically every time Zofia gets instantly drunk after visiting Marcin's bar, one point during which she has to be taken care of by her own niece.
  • Several of the breaking news is more tabloid gossips than a proper news. They also tend to gain more views than the more important journalistic and politic-shifting articles.
    • In one of the unreadable footnote articles, the Candle Knight apparently uses her winning prizes to fund a ridiculously decadent lifestyle, including building herself a Reverse Harem army of butlers and bathing in a tub of red wine.
      • Near Light event extends this gag further with Candle Knight's reaction to the gossips, wondering how could anyone believe bathing in wine is possible, as wine will only make a person felt more uncomfortable with the stickiness instead of refreshing.
    • The article about Maria's strategy meeting in Marcin's bar has Mlynar's picture as the header, but the censor bar on his eyes is so small, they might as well not bother with it.
  • Several of the knights' epithet aren't very awe-inspiring; Plastic Knight is pretty ridiculous yet understandable in-context, but you can't really excuse Broken-Wrist Knight.
  • During the preliminary, Maria ends up in a free-for-all against several knights, including the Flametail Knight. Flametail ends up spending a lot of her introduction to Maria boasting about the Ashlock Knight's glories and how she immediately sent Brassrust Knight (Maria's previous opponent) back to the hospital just to be petty.
  • When she's informed that the preliminary's final is 2 vs. 2 bout, Maria goes into panic because she realizes that she doesn't have any knight friends to help her.

"Who is Real"

  • Saga attacks the Ink Spirits while shouting out her combat voice lines in the game. Of course, her shouting out the name of a food has made one of the defeated Ink Spirits growl in confusion.
Saga: "Cleanse the six senses!" *
    Ink Spirit: "Gkhaa!"
    Saga: "Sever all desires!" *
    Ink Spirit: "Gkhaa!"
    Saga: "Aburaage!" *
    Ink Spirit: "Gkh... gkhaa?"

"Operation Originium Dust"

  • Tachanka takes in an Originium Slug as a pet to pass the time, which confuses Ash. He actually seems rather fond of it, even naming it Uman and trying to feed it veggies.
  • Tachanka quickly changes the subject when bringing up dogs around Miarow, who is a Perro, understandably feeling awkward about discussing a domestic pet from his home world with a person with said pet's traits.
  • Tachanka and Blitz begin squabbling in Russian as they come up with and needle each other for their terrible lies to the Rhodes Islands operators when questioned about where Team Rainbow came from.
  • Tachanka gets interested about Ursus since it reminds him of his home country Russia until he learns the country is still ruled by a Tsar much to his disgust.

"Interlocking Competition - Hymnoi Wisdom"

  • The Doctor's remarks, upon being told about the Interlocking Competition that they apparently registered for and then forgot about, can range from being excited about it, to worried that Amiya, Kal'tsit, and Dobermann are all too gleeful to make them take command of the operator teams being registered for the event.
  • A certain amount of Hypocritical Humor arises from how Pallas's flowery speech seems to be less welcome by the other Rhodes Island operators than Kal'tsit's long, philosophical speeches. Well, it's simply possible they don't want to upset one of the powers behind the management of Rhodes Island.

"Vigilo"

  • The first story begins with Dylan complaining about his situation, wondering why he had agreed to come with the task force to the ground instead of staying on his ship, as he find himself running in the dark alleyway while fighting against a mysterious group of men. If his self-pity remarks are not amusing enough, the exchange between Blaze and Dylan certainly is:
Blaze: "What kind of law enforcement pull out their auto assault crossbows and ask questions at the same time?"
    Dylan: "Columbian?"

"Dossoles Holiday"

  • The fact that the entire story is essentially a buddy-cop movie with Ch'en and Yushia forced to work together despite their animosity, to fight off a gang of terrorists while wearing swimsuits. The fact that everything is played perfectly straight just makes the whole event even more funny.
  • After Ch'en and Yuhsia have crashed the scrimmage prelim without realizing it and ended up the victors of the prelim, the MC requests for their team name, which includes Ernesto. Ch'en calls them LUNG wRATh, based on her own and Yuhsia's races. Yuhsia is not amused by Ch'en's naming sense, while Hoshiguma who was watching from the display TV burst out laughing.
Ch'en: Then we're calling it... LUNG wRATh. All caps. Except the 'w' and 'h'.
    • There are even more ridiculous team names during the matches, and the most stand out of them all is the team that look like they are advertising their business more than competing in it, including a phone number.
  • Swire and Hoshiguma have absolutely no chill in how much shade they throw at Ch'en's performance during the Championship, ruthlessly analyzing her strengths and weaknesses and difficulty in coordinating with Lin Yushia. Hoshiguma pulls no punches in teasing Swire about her almost-tsundere need to keep an eye on Ch'en after they found out she was staying in Dossoles for her holiday just like them.
  • During the triathlon, the final leg of the race involves swimming - or at rather, traversing a large body of water by any means available, which generally means swimming. Yushia sends Ch'en on ahead while she prepares her Arts by gathering up sand that she can use to make glass platforms to run across the water. Yushia has only a limited amount of sand available to make her platforms, so she saves some of it by leaping atop the heads of other swimmers... including Ch'en, much to the latter's flabbergasted shock.
  • The lack of concern that Candela has about the looming unrest goes from callous to almost comical, as she shrugs every worry about the brewing trouble off and places utmost confidence that it will turn out exactly how she needs it, improvising her plans as needed with every new discovery without so much as raising an eyebrow.
  • Some of the stickers have flavor text that makes for interesting lore. One of the more amusing bits is about the dried cactus vendor Uncle Marco, that ended up in a rivalry with a copycat franchise called Tio Marco, and both of them ended up trying to release expensive new products trying to outdo one another unsuccessfully.

"Pinus Sylvestris"

  • While Ashlock is busy sending Brassrust Ingra back to the hospital in her match, Flametail and Wildmane are busy watching her match and delivering commentary on her performance with some snarky remarks thrown in. When Greatmouth Mob starts marketing bottled drinks with Ashlock's likeness on them for merchandising, Flametail gets thirsty. Wildmane comments that these merch drinks aren't really much different from normal commercial bottled water and criticises the blatant money trap, but Flametail still buys one to drink because she's too lazy to pop out of the arena to go get a cheaper drink, and confirms that yes, the contents are just normal drinking water. After the match, Ashlock notices that Flametail still has the bottle with her likeness on it and comments on it.

"Near Light"

  • There's something amusing about how Gravel's voiced onboarding line, where she kisses you as the Doctor as part of her introduction, is the legitimate first thing she does when she meets the Doctor at the start of Near Light. It's entirely played out word-for-word, and Amiya's reaction is to be surprised at how forward she is.
  • After watching Roy and Monique bully Platinum for three events straight, it's satisfying to have some laughs at their expense, as various events conspire to make them even more unsuccessful than Jessie and James:
    • Roy tries to be smug at Mlynar, but is forced to swallow his words and seriously consider retreat when Shining shows up and joins Mlynar at the bench for a meeting.
    • Monique's attempts to persecute the Infected are repeatedly foiled and she is forced to endure Toland the Bounty Hunter bantering with her and being infuriatingly good at irritating her, while being good enough that she has serious trouble trying to actually hurt him. For extra laughs, her reaction when she realises that Shining did not appreciate her Fourth Arrow is perfect timed after she attempted to attack Nearl for the last time in the event. And her conga doesn't end there, as she ends up running into Rhodes Island while pursuing a Platinum that was sick and tired of being their scapegoat and overworked middle manager, and finds herself stymied by a mere two Operators stalling her until she was forced to withdraw and attend to more pressing missions.

"Break the Ice"

  • When Arctosz sends his people over to "invite" the Doctor to 'enjoy his hospitality', no matter what option you pick, Sharp will groan and decide that sometimes he just doesn't get paid enough to deal with the Doctor's capriciousness.
  • Since Gulo has no idea what Doctor looks like, the first thing he did is interrogating the group he detained who is Doctor. Aside from Doctor's blunt confession, the other two choices are framing Sharp as Doctor and answering that they are not the Doctor. Gulo briefly falls for Doctor's answers, before remembering Doctor's appearances (a hooded individual).
  • One of the dialogue options you can choose when Kjera spooks the Doctor is to 'shriek in an indescribable fashion', which amuses her to no end.
  • During the climax of the battle, we get an image of Arctosz and his retinues brandishing their weapon while making an invigorating speech. This, along with the background music, made a sharp contrast to the stoic Doctor, who stands in the middle of the scene nonchalantly.
  • The epilogue sees Dobermann instantly figure out that everyone got sucked into the political Incident that happened when they responded to her greeting with awkward silence. Yes, even the Doctor responds to Dobermann with awkward silence.

"Invitation To Wine"

  • When Lee and Liang reunite, Lee teases his old friend that despite becoming the governor of Shangshu, he still hasn't found a woman yet. Cue Ning Ciqiu immediately showing up and asking if Liang has a guest over. As Liang awkwardly tries to explain that Ning is his coworker, Lee is in silence before immediately excusing himself.
  • Kroos and Blacknight both come from RIM Billiton, the Terran analogue of Australia. When the two of them meet, they start talking in "Rim Billitonian," which is a hilariously incomprehensible mess of Aussie slang and dialect. Even funnier is that Rim Billitonian is so incomprehensible that it gets treated as its own separate language from Victorian.

"A Light Spark in Darkness"

  • When Grani comes to Green Spark after a long day, her first act to cheer up is to find Susie and rub her ears.
  • Grani is chasing a pair of criminals when they hole themselves up in a dark warehouse. One decides to throw an incendiary flare to burn the building before Grani gets them, only for the lit flare to reveal that the dark room they were in was actually filled with explosives and volatile chemicals. Cue the massive explosion. Although the event has a major impact on the rest of the story, the event plays out so much like a Looney Tunes sketch that it wraps around to being funny.

"Guide Ahead"

  • One of the first things seen by foreigners who visited Laterano during this event was a couple of bored Sankta blowing up a pillar "because it was too perfect" while supervised by a member of the Notorial Hall. None of the Sankta see anything wrong with it, as the couple of Sankta had already filled in their paperwork and gotten permission to do it.
    • This fact makes Exusiai's Destructive Savior tendencies a lot more Hilarious in Hindsight as from Archetto's account, she seems like an outlier due to how many times she blew up her school until this event and what Exusiai does is actually normal in Sankta standards.
  • What makes it even better is that the nameplate for the "Sedate" Lateran Citizen keeps changing as the Columbian magnate keeps listening to them, going from "Sedate?" to "Sedate??" to "Not Very Sedate Lateran Citizen". Then it goes back to describing him as "Sedate" despite all facts to the contrary.
  • Fiammetta continues to receive amusingly embarassing codenames throughout the event. She starts the event as "Shimmering Vigil" and ends it having to pick from another three more given to her by Lemuen, settling on "Dawn Destroyer."
    • When Fiammetta says that her name is not Shimmering Vigil, her name in the UI changes to "The Liberi Formerly Known As Shimmering Vigil".
  • Mostima mentions in the middle of the Pope's conference with his officials that the cactus tarts they're serving to the Terran envoys are terrible. They immediately get swerved into debating whether this is true as Cardinal Velliv agrees with Mostima, while the Pope, Gun-Knight Giovanni, and Legatus Oren are pro-cactus tart, and Fiammetta is silently agitated as they keep talking on this topic, treating the debate on the taste and quality of their sweets as a matter more serious than the foreign dignitaries visiting the city.
  • Somehow, Lemuen wound up on top of a signboard all while completely wheelchair bound so she can shoot off Andoain's gun off from his hand from afar. When a passerby asked how Lemuen was able to get up there, this is Lemuen's response said with a bright smile.
    Lemuen: When there's a will, there's a way.
  • Lateran Sweet Tooth shows, to the point that Gelato Stops are legitimate strategic consideration during combat. It gets to the point that the EX stages effectively describe in-lore that people are willing to get into fights to get their hands on the last stock of a sweet store for the day.

"Stultifera Navis"

  • The stage map for Gran Faro has a hilarious juxtaposition of Kal'tsit's portrait and the location name, Old Well, that throws shade at Kal'tsit's age.
  • Between Dario and Carmen hurrying Kal'tsit up to prevent her from waxing philosophy at them, it's clear the Iberian Inquisition has had the rare case of a person all too willing to talk to them about everything possible, to the point that they have to remind her that they are on the clock and 'don't have the luxury to discuss philosophy at the moment, so please just speak directly on the subject at hand'. Carmen has hints of Hypocritical Humor in his interrupts, as he often ends up rambling in his own dialogue after stopping Kal'tsit from rambling at him.
  • The way the awakened Specter, Laurentina, casually pokes fun at Irene and calls her a 'Little Bird', and Irene's flustered and somewhat tetchy responses to Laurentina's teasing, brings out a hint of her voice actress's other Tsundere roles. It doesn't help that Laurentina had the sheer strength to just pick her up and carry her along when jumping aboard the Stultifera Navis.
  • While it's supposed to be a tragic moment, there's still a little amusing levity in the scene where Garcia plays the piano to prove that they haven't lost their humanity despite their heavily mutated appearance.

"Lingering Echoes"

  • Hibiscus shows that despite becoming more mature and experienced her Cordon Bleugh Chef ways are still present, with her making dinner for Czerny, Ebenholz and Kreide. One Gilligan Cut later, Ebenholz and Kreide are eating out at the local restaurant with Kreide having taken away leftovers from dinner and Ebenholz staunchly refusing to eat it ever again, while Czerny is drinking soup at home and flees when his aunt Ursula jokingly suggests that they take inspiration from Hibiscus's cooking.
  • At the end of the side story, Lava becomes curious as to whether Hibiscus has learned how to play her flute, wondering if she is too shy to perform before asking her to play a tune. Hibiscus agrees, and the scene fades to black before the player hears the sound of Lava running for the hills while calling Hibiscus's playing "the worst sound she's ever heard."

"Ideal City: Endless Carnival"

  • During Inam’s retelling of how she first encountered Stitch, she and the other Acahuallans mistake him for a child due to his size, and when Inam recognizes him as a Durin, one of the Archosauria with her become confused as they’ve never seen a Durin before. When Inam explains that they are a people who live underground, the Archosauria thinks she is talking about a metal crab, to which Stitch’s name (not yet revealed in the flashback) changes to “Maybe a Metal Crab?”. Similarly to poor Fiammetta during her own side story, Stitch’s name in the text box changes from “Maybe a Metal Crab?” to “Not a Metal Crab” to “Pint-Sized Durin” to “Mature Durin” as the dialogue progresses.
    • Made even better when the Archosauria only remembers about the Durin from reading about how they are good with alcohol compared to metal crabs, meaning he genuinely could not tell the difference between the two by appearance.
  • Blink and you'll miss it, but Elysium makes a sideways comment about Dylan and Blaze setting him up for his mission, claiming that Acahualla was a good place to relax. Dylan was even mentioned to have had a wicked grin on his face. Given Elysium's tendency to bother people who work with him regularly, this is implied to have been a way to Troll him into having a miserable time given Dylan's own prior bad experience, only for it to backfire as Elysium ends up having the time of his life partying in Zeruertza instead.
    • At one point, Elysium also makes a mention to some "famously delicious mushrooms" found in the rainforest and is disappointed not to find any. Considering a certain hungry Perro's last experience with mushrooms found in the rainforest that led to a whole new game mode...
    • Elysium spends most of the first half of the event partaking of the local brews, getting wasted, nearly starting a fight between the mead-lover and whiskey-lover 'factions' within the Durins, and diving off the Great Aquapit like an overgrown child. All the while, Inam and Tomimi are watching him with disbelief and questioning his competency as a Rhodes Island Operator.
    • It turns out that the misunderstanding that caused Gavial and Eunectes to hurry back to Sargon was due to some exaggeration on Tomimi's part sparked by Elysium's suggestion to use some "rhetorical devices" in her letter. Gavial's response is priceless.
Gavial: I'm gonna go beat the shit out of him.

  • Avdotya questioning Gavial if they came to Zeruertza with any ulterior motives. Gavial answered that they came here on Stitch's request and she's a doctor. Avdotya considered Tomimi as a doctor to be more convincing, till Tomimi replies that Gavial has taught her how to apply anesthesia: By knocking them out cold, which the Rhodes Islanders dub it as 'Gaviallic kinetic anesthesia'. Gavial have to remind her that even she rarely use it unless she ran out of anesthesia or losing her supply bag from beating up bad guys. Avdotya feels skeptical about them and would rather keep an eye on them.
  • The people of Zeruertza and their regarding of alcohol as Serious Business is worth a few laughs, with a fight nearly brewing out between factions of mead lovers and whiskey lovers in the middle of the city, with the former regarding Elysium as a traitor due to him enjoying the whiskey after having tried their mead. Catch is also immediately regarded as All of the Other Reindeer by his fellow Durins for his enjoyment of berry tomato wine. Made funnier later when Avdotya mentions that due to the Durin’s idyllic lifestyles, these types of arguments are as heated as they ever get.
  • During an argument between Stitch and Catch, Stitch resentfully refuses to make further input towards the development of the dome, shouting at Catch that he doesn’t care anymore. Catch then responds by sharing his own ideas for the dome suggesting to paint it in various vibrant colors in the style of a stained glass window in an Imagine Spot complete with a horrified Stitch in chibi form. This offends Stitch’s minimalist senses so badly that he immediately does a 180 and states that by no means is Catch to do anything to the dome, threatening to fight him to stop him if necessary.
  • Avdotya, Gavial, and Elysium all get thrust into an impromptu swimming contest in commemoration of the destruction of the massive slide.
    • Right away, Elysium manages to make Croque introduce him as "The Wind of Iberia, Rhodes Island's sexiest man".
    • Since it was also for the purpose of surveying the cave-in across, Edge Eartheart was supposed to be a competitor representing Zeruertsa... until he and Gavial manages to push Avdotya's button enough that she decided to become the Zeruertsan representation instead. So how does Edge gets across? By riding atop Gavial, of course!
      • Avdotya, wanting to show up Gavial, then insists on doing it in her current outfit, which backfires when it becomes too heavy for her to swim in.
    • Elysium spends half the race playing around and showing off instead of competing.
    • Then Stitch shows up as a dark horse by using a boat dubbed Ale Keg to get across, with Croque deciding that Ain't No Rule for him against using a boat. Avdoyta is forced to stop coughing behind its wake. Elysium attempts to board the boat, only for a scuffle between an enraged Edge and Stitch to knock Elysium out cold and throw the other two Durins off the boat as it plows through the finish line and crash into the tunnel with no driver.
      • The Durins then, in complete sincerity, mourn their first champion of the Ale Keg to win a swimming contest and the fact that they will never get to put it up for accolade.
  • While searching for travel records at the archives to prepare for evacuation, Avdotya has a heartfelt conversation with Eunectes and Inam culminating with her deciding to start to trust Gavial. This is immediately followed by Mood Whiplash as the High Priest notes that he found the records in a different section and reveals that they were looking in the wrong aisle the entire time. The nearby robots immediately call Avdotya a dummy in sync, to which she abashedly apologizes.
  • Contrary to what might be expected from her ladylike appearance, Avdotya’s treatment throughout the side story paints her as more of a Butt-Monkey. Not long after her introduction, Gavial and Eunectes fall on top of her briefly knocking her out. Her calling them “beasts of civilization” is misinterpreted by both as there being a literal beast threatening the city. Then, Gavial picks her up forcefully while ignoring her and jumps down the dome to Zeruertza while carrying her, dropping them both into the water. Then, when Avdotya tries to threaten Gavial and company into leaving, she is pulled away by her Durin friends to drink. She tries to play watchman for Gavial and Tomimi, who end up dragging her to go shopping throughout the city. Then she loses the swimming competition against Gavial and Elysium due to deciding to go in the water while wearing her usual attire. She later gets called a dummy by Deculture’s robots for being absentminded enough to search for travel records in the wrong aisle and not noticing, and the story ends with her being told she was signed on as an Operator for Rhodes Island by a drunk Croque. All in all, poor Avdotya does not have an easy time throughout the event.
  • Eunectes spends the majority of the event chasing after the robots around Zeruertza and befriending them, telling Deculture that she should be treating them like family as their creator, just like herself and Lancet-2. She later tells Inam she is looking for a suitable date among the robots for Lancet-2 before concluding that while they have nice personalities they’re not smart enough before mentioning that Lancet-2 prefers intelligent people such as the Doctor.
  • At the end of the side story, Avdotya and Croque are talking about their future plans, with Avdotya stating her intention to return to Zeruertza once the crisis is over. Croque then reveals that she has recommended Avdotya as a liaison to Rhodes Island in her own place as part of her exchange with Inam, causing Avdotya to incredulously realize that Croque essentially sold her as part of a trade deal. She then yells at Croque and reprimands her for drinking while working. Essentially, Avdotya’s playable status was entirely a result of a bout of Alcohol-Induced Idiocy.

"To Be Continued"

"Dorothy's Vision"

  • The animated PV for the event includes Ho'olheyak getting all up in Saria's face with the smuggest grin she can muster, immediately followed by a first-person shot of Saria blasting her straight through the window with her Arts.note

"Il Siracusano"

  • Lappland's grand return to her family begins with her barging into a Saluzzo family meeting with her father Alberto, having apparently killed every guard outside before casually walking into the meeting room. When one of the mafiosos demands that she leave because she's been kicked out of the family, and says that she's no longer a Saluzzo, Lappland casually cuts his throat.
Lappland: Never seen that guy before. Was he new?
    Mafioso: Y-yes! S-Signorina Lappland!
Lappland: You're so cruel, father, to doubt the sincerity of my actions.
Alberto: ...you got my desk dirty, Lappland.
  • To free Texas from jail, Lappland drives a truck and crashes into the courthouse. It makes a hilarious Mood Whiplash. This later gets a Brick Joke where you can get the hole that references this as a furniture, implying that nobody bothered to actually fix what broke.
  • Lappland's behavior in general across the entire storyline. Everyone else seems to be embroiled in a dead serious mafia tale of violence, betrayal, family, honor, and loyalty, and Lappland is running around like an insane combination of Goro Majima and the Joker, doing everything she can to insult and mock both her father and the familgia system.
  • Agenir appears as a miniboss in IS-9, but his sprite has his eye mask on, implying you're fighting him while he's sleepwalking.
  • Some of the cast reviews in Critica Artistica can draw a chuckle out of you:
    • The reviews are initially quite positive, starting with La Morte di Texas, but then they grow increasingly negative, culminating in a collective Who Writes This Crap?! for La Ragazza Siciliana and Sette Assassinia. Sette Assassinia deserves a special mention for having a 9.7 star rating, yet consists almost entirely of negative reviews.
    • The first two shows has Texas write in her usual tone... until the review for Cattivi Ragazzi and La Ragazza Siciliana, where Texas is shown to write in an unusually cheerful tone, which is very unlike the Texas we all know. It's later revealed to be Exusiai using Texas's account to write reviews. The fact that she mentions apple pie in her review for La Ragazza Siciliana should already clue you in.
    • The review for Sette Assassinia has Texas take back her account instead of Exusiai using it to comment on the show. Texas mentions that the show looked like a bad Lungmen movie flick that even Emperor would be offended by it. And as someone who did live in Lungmen, Texas probably saw all the wrong details the movie got.
    • Speaking of the reviews, Lappland, meanwhile, leaves intentionally contradictory or outright dismissive reviews for every opera... except for La Morte di Texas, and only La Morte di Texas.
    • Giovanna gave a high review for La Morte di Texas and say how it has a satisfying ending. All while she herself is the Playwright and author of the whole show.
    • Agenir's reviews majorly has him say that he slept through a good portion of the shows he watched. The lone exception being La Morte di Texas. He otherwise slept through in the theater.
  • IS-8 stage happens in the middle of a busy road, with several cars going back and forth and the rest of the enemy waves crossing the street in single file. Except for one Famiglia Intimidator, who decides to commit jaywalking so he can beeline to your blue box. By the time he made that beeline for the blue box, you probably cleared and beat all the other famiglia members, including the Cleaner that can potentially show up, which makes this even funnier.

A Flurry to the Flame

  • The three Felynes who make up the Terra Research Commission are real bundles of amusingly chaotic energy. Scholar and Craftsman are casually kleptomaniac in their curiosity and excitement, and Palico's Wiggler set gives him an aura of goofiness.
  • In the Prologue, Noir tries to bring up the idea of bringing a ladder on field missions after Yato climbs up on his shoulders to reach a high sample for testing, only for Yato to reject it because she doesn't see the need for it with him around.
  • Yato's concerns about the exposed skin area on her new Kirin Armor set are more about the protection it might offer rather than the fanservice she provides with it, even when Noir Corne trips and falls over because he was too busy gawking at her. She continues to fail to realize the fanservice potential of her new kit back in the landship as per her operator files, attributing the attention she's getting to her improved performance with the armor on.
  • Scholar and Mirai almost derail their conversation into discussions about their mutual studies when Noir Corne finally finds her.
  • Noir Corne's hilarious failures during the fight with Rathalos end up requiring Scholar and Craftsman to bail him out with their cart, just like a real Longsword main.
  • In the aftermath of the event, Noir Corne's files indicate that he becomes more attached to his armor and longsword than most actual Longsword main players, carrying the weapon everywhere inside the landship. He also ends up being harassed by the Engineering department due to their interest in his new kit.

Lone Trail

  • Ifrit driving a car? A cool and awesome development of her character. Her admitting that she kinda sorta knows how to drive? Actually pretty funny.
  • While the Doctor getting mad enough to hit Loken is an awesome demonstration of the protectiveness the Doctor has for their operators, especially the emotionally vunerable ones like Rosmontis, it's also funny from an in-universe perspective, as the Doctor is commonly considered to be a physically weedy Non-Action Guy. Having the Doctor get mad enough to punch, kick, or slap Loken (and the player is not given the option to avert violence, only to choose the form it takes) also amusingly vindicates the lore records from Sideroca's files about how the Doctor was bribed into attending her physiotherapy sessions with her cooking. And yes, the Doctor hits Loken hard enough to send him reeling out of pure outrage of his flippant and cruel treatment of Rosmontis.

    Integrated Strategies
Phantom & Crimson Solitaire
  • One of the artifacts you can get is a plate of meal named "Wrath of Siracusans"... which is pasta covered with chocolate sauce. It's popular among the people of Gaul back when it still existed but the Siracusans are all pissed at the dish that it's mere existence nearly caused a diplomatic crisis between the two countries.
The signature pasta dish of an 'authentic Siracusan restaurant' that once operated in the capital of Gaul. The dish's unique taste, and particularly its sauce, a blend of thick chocolate sauce and Originium Slug liver, earned the praise of many Gaulish nobles. Supposedly, though, this dish nearly caused a diplomatic crisis between Siracusa and Gaul.
    • The 3rd monthly operator record focusing on the Chiave gang (Aosta, Broca and Chiave) gave a brief backstory of the item: The chocolate pasta was made by a Siracusan Chef who was expelled from the country for his bad culinary skill. He later settled in Gaul and start a Siracusan restaurant, where his cuisine won the compliments of Gallic customers. Additionally, Chiave is also interested in the said dish. When Chiave later found a unique food combinations recipe book which contained a sweetened version of Mapo Tofu with strawberries and Siesta styled fruit pizza, among others, this lead to Aosta and Broca tying him up and making a Terran version of "Get the Cross" reference by sending Chiave off to a Laterano church.
  • Several stages reference the suicidal enemies. One such stage has multiple Jetpack soldiers falling repeatedly into the same pit, while another has a number of Sarkaz Chargers running straight into a pit after failing to stop in time.
  • The fourth Monthly Squad — Ceobe, Sesa, and Dur-nar — start out with the "Rusted Iron Hammer" collectible. Since Ceobe's Arts allow her to hear the "voices" of her weapons, one of the conversation logs has her wonder out loud why the hammer keeps telling her to "Annihilate all nomadic cities!". Dur-nar, putting two and two together, is taken aback that they managed to find an actual rusty hammer used by the Rusthammers, calling it "a little on-the-nose".

Mizuki & Caerula Arbor

Expeditioner's Joklumarkar

  • "Evil Lair" Random Event has the player encounters Crying Thief, Duck Duke, and Ursus Bodyguard in the middle of Icefield. Player assume that these three are up to no good with a base in the middle of nowhere. But with high Anti-Interference Index, player will be able to ask what they were doing, and finds out that this is only a movie prop placed by Wrankwood for filming purposes.
  • The introduction of "Search and Get the Enemy" made a small reference to "wish comes true", another battle node. The introduction states that you do not want "what you wish will came true" to be real.
  • "Nameless Hero" made you fight 6 elite enemies that you are familar with in the main story. Unfortunately, due to the influence of Collapse, they are much more buffed in terms of stats, and in-game text remarks that you immediately regretted to pick a fight with them.
  • The recurring Damsel in Distress ambush has you faced yet another Sarkaz girl, who offer you to stay in her home as she grabs for supplies, and telling you not to be too curious. Failure to heed her advice will result in the house transformed to attack the guests. While heeding the advice(available with maximum Anti-Interference Index) will saw her coming back with the supplies to give them to you. The player will wonder whether her hospitality is the result of Love at First Sight, but quickly ruled out that possibility in their mind.

    Operator Records
  • Shirayuki's Operator Record involves her spying on Rhodes Island's staff from the shadows, giving her thoughts on each of them in her usual blunt, no-nonsense manner of speech. She eventually comes across Closure watching a TV drama, complaining that they're still dragging out the Will They or Won't They? seven seasons in. Shirayuki muses about her skills as an engineer, and the rumours that she created the Rhodes Island landship singlehandedly, then adds that the show she's watching has been terrible since Season 4.
    • The Operator Record also covers Shirayuki's first meeting with the Doctor. After she introduces herself, the player is prompted to either welcome her, which is met with complete silence, or to say nothing, which leads to six whole screens of awkward Visible Silence from both of them. Either way, the scene then cuts to Shirayuki's assessment of them, which contains a Call-Back to Kal'tsit's comment on their odd eating habits from Episode 7.
Shirayuki: Several days' observation. The Doctor, a strange sort. Directly heats instant food in mouth with kettle. Genius.
  • At the start of Mayer's Operator Record, Closure comes by to ask her for assistance in developing THRM-EX. There's just one problem; Mayer is wearing earphones and can't hear her. After getting frustrated by the lack of response, Closure uses her admin access to force the workshop's door open and sneaks up behind Mayer to try and give her a scare. She taps her on the shoulder, and Mayer turns around and bites her, leaving the vampire crying out in pain and pleading that she tastes terrible.
    • It doesn't take long for Mayer to notice the door she'd just locked is suddenly open. As Closure desperately tries to change the subject, she begins looking through her security camera's archives to try and figure out what happened. Just as she's about to play the recording, Closure loudly asks if she wants to build robots with her. This actually catches Mayer's attention... right before she hits the play button anyway and catches Closure in the act.
      Mayer: ......
      Closure: ......
      Mayer: Meeboos. Get her ass.
    • Mayer and Meeboos biting had become a Brick Joke in this record. Aside from Closure, a random operator picked a bad time to arrive at Mayer's workshop, which prompts an impatient and annoyed Mayer sending Meeboos to bite the poor operator. Moreover, after Mayer promised Magellan that she will not skip meal tonight, Mayer forgot about the promise and went on working, to which Meeboos bite her until she agrees to have her dinner.
  • Exusiai's Operator Record provides a meta humor with a revelation: Exusiai's sister is alive and well. Players view it as Creator's Take That! move on the fan-fic theory that depicts Exusiai's sister died at the hand of Mostima.
  • According to Texas' Operator Record, she blew up a monument in Siracusa that was leaning over because of bad construction, implying that she destroyed the Terran version of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. No further elaboration is given.
  • Margaret Nearl's Operator Record as the Radiant Knight has the amusing detail that she still has some trouble filling in all the paperwork she has to contend with as the Radiant Knight, with Zofia and Maria pointing out that her pile has become tall enough to obscure the evening sun's light at her desk. Even her time as an operator with Rhodes Island hasn't done quite enough to help her deal with paperwork of this magnitude.

    Character-Related
  • Some voiced lines by the operators reveal awkward past incidents or highlight their quirky personalities.
Kroos (After Promotion): Doctor! Someone left 10 alarm clocks in my bed! Who would do something so awful?!note
Exusiai (After Promotion 1): My first wish: to receive eight new guns! We angels all have our own guns for defense, but owning just one gun is so lame, right?
Exusiai (After Promotion 2): My second wish... find someone to help me turn off this light over my head!
Vigna (When appointed as Assistant): Hey, Doctor! I'm watching a concert! You're blocking the TV! I missed the best part!
Mousse (After tapping her Trust Bubble): D-Doctor... I really can't hold it in anymore... do we have a scratching post? Waaahhhh...
Lava (After tapping her Trust Bubble): Y-you're not gonna score points with me by doing that!
Shaw (After her Trust increased): Chief... Theytheythey're barbecuinginthedormagain. Canyouplease stopthemforme! Aaaah! Someoneswapped myfireextinguisher withIfrit'sflamethrower! Areyouokay, Chief?Explanation
Ebenholz (When appointed as Assistant): I'll be your assistant today, Doctor... I will disclaim. I have absolutely no secretarial experience. Thus, so I'm not hindering you, I will be doing nothing at all.
  • In Skadi's promotion record, it contains a secret meeting conducted by Warfarin attempting to sedate Skadi and examine or dissect her body for information. But they didn't know that Kal'tsit herself also attended the meeting. Cue this shocked quote from Warfarin, before her monthly salary is fined as a punishment:
Warfarin: "Oh. Dr. Kal'tsit? How long have you been here...?"
    • Bonus point for Warfarin's plan: 200 doses of sedatives mixed into Skadi's food.
  • Cardigan's final Archive File is a list of items that she broke, accidentally or not. These include a sofa, Ansel's chair, and a large book. While the latter two were destroyed by her over-excitement and clumsiness, the sofa was cut simply because her weapon was still equipped when she (presumably) sat on it.
  • While Savage's third Archive File started off by describing her feats or listing her talents, it just ends by the following note, implying that she's a Dude Magnet:
Please do not post the names of suitors she has rejected on the bulletin board in the lounge. Thank you for your cooperation.
  • The fact there's an operator named Waai Fu has made many fans giggle and wonder if her name was named after the trope. note
  • The last line of this excerpt from Bison's profile sums up his perception among the fandom so bluntly it's hard not to chuckle.
Also known as the "Young Master", and the Director of MDL, this youthful messenger is responsible for the coordination between MountainDash Logistics and Penguin Logistics. Despite his age, he gives off an air of reliability. In fact, he has a very rich work experience, and knows the logistics industry like the back of his hand.
However, outsiders often see him as "the poor whipping boy of Penguin Logistics."
  • According to the tally marks on his Coral Coast skin, Castle-3 has a total kill(?) count of 21 people...and a cow.
  • The following exchange, that is unlocked with Executor's E2 promotion:
"You really want him? Think it over. Everyone in the dorm has told you how bad he is!"
"Why do you guys want to get in the way of my happy future with him? It doesn't matter what he's like now, I believe in the power of love!"
"He doesn't think about intimacy like you do. He's such a glass-half-empty kind of guy. It makes you want to give up..."
"You guys are a bunch of cowards. Just get out of my way and let me give it a shot! How do you even know he's that kind of person?"
    "I know! Everybody here knows!"
    "Huh?"
    "Hey."
"Spit it out, one of you did something. Who was it?!"
    "Um, her. Her. Her. Her."
    "What about you?"
"I... I just took him out for a drink. Nothing else. Really."
    "......"
    "......"
"So everybody here did it?! I'm the odd man out here?!"
"I mean he helped fix the backup systems, it was really hot..."
    "So that's it? Give up?"
    "We all gave up."
    • His alter character profile continued this stories with they discovered that Executor is carrying a flower with him. They assumed that this is a sign that he is finally developing an affection to someone, with one even thinking about reattempting to hit on him. Unbeknownst to them, that flower is from Clemont, and he wished to find the answer to : Clemon's dying question. Eventually, he give the flower to Doctor.
  • Sideroca's profile mostly talks about how her experiences growing up affect her current work ethic and how she was given the advice to stick to a single contractor for life. And then...
“Recently, the Doctor’s been taken good care of.”
“The Doctor? Taken care of? I don’t know of anyone doing something like that. Unless you’re talking about the medical department. It wouldn't make sense if they weren't keeping people healthy.”
“That’s not what I’m talking about! C’mon, take a look at this photo from our daily newsletter. Look carefully at the Doctor’s arm.”
    “What about it...?”
“Wait, I think I see it.”
“The Doctor’s putting on some muscle?!”
“Even though it’s just a little bit, that is unmistakably muscle!”
    “By jove!”
“So, umm, I want to know who’s taking care of the Doctor.”
“Isn’t it enough to just take a look at the Doctor’s record of duties at the office? You’re the only one with that authorization here, so I’m counting on you.”
“Good point, let me take a look.”
    Fast Forward→

    “Did you find it?”
    “It’s Sideroca.”
“Side-who? That mercenary? Do they train mercenaries for caregiving duties these days?”
“She’s probably an exception... I heard that she learned to cook in order to persuade the Doctor to work out. All it took was her borrowing a Leithanien cookbook from the library.”
“How good could something that came off a cookbook be?”
“You’ve never tried it, have you? The other day, Gummy and I went to try one of her simple meals. Gummy was blown away.”
    “What?!”
”That woman’s a monster, I’m telling you. I’ve been cooking for ten years, and even my own mother won’t touch my food...”
“I heard that she selects her ingredients in accordance to nutritional theory while accounting for individual tastes. The Doctor, who swore to never set foot in the gym, was seen there the next day after trying one of her meals.”
“So that’s where that “Doctor at the Gym” post came from...”
    “Mhm...”
“This person... is she really just a mercenary?”
    “Beats me.”
    • The background story why Sideroca is taking care of Doctor is worth a chuckle: Sideroca excels at her training routine so much that the instructors had to keep thinking of something new to keep up with her progress lest her capabilities will demoralize other raw recruits. Eventually, they ran out of thing to train her and decided to throw Doctor under the bus so that they are able to go back to their jobs instead of focusing on Sideroca's endless demand of new training programs. As of Lone Trail, Sideroca's physiotherapy for the Doctor becomes even funnier when you consider that it made the Doctor fit enough to resort to physical violence when Loken upsets Rosmontis.
  • Suzuran's profile is less personal info about the girl herself, and more of just R.I. staff gushing over how cute she is. The Human Resources department didn't have a lot of fun sifting through their reports.
"In addition to regular treatment, we should also consider how to treat this child so that she may receive a proper education and mature into an outstanding... Why are you looking at me like that? Th-this has nothing to do with my personal feelings; I simply have an obligation to Suzuran and her guardian! That’s right! It’s an obligation! Look, this is the essence of humanitarianism in action!"
"Of course, Lisa may also show us the bright future that lies ahead. That is the reason I’m so fond of her. No, it’s not just because she leaned against my shoulder to take a nap during Dr. Warfarin’s lecture."
  • Tomimi's profile is filled with hilarity:
    • Due to her being a fangirl of Gavial, her heart starts racing whenever she is close to her. This, however, causes a minor problem: Gavial can never get her heart rate right during the medical check-up.
    • Her Archive File 2 discusses her past with Gavial and the reasons why she became so enamoured with her. The file ends with a conversation between two anonymous operators who want to write a movie script or romance novel based on Tomimi's life. One of them urges the other to change up the details because they're scared of what Tomimi and especially Gavial would do to them if they found out.
  • Tachanka and Blitz's Elite 2 promotion profiles feature a Rhodes Island Engineering department member venting about how much time and effort has been spent into tuning up their weapons to be compatible with Terra, with Tachanka's weapon having barely passable firepower and how Blitz's shield is so complex in design that the member considers making a patent.
  • Contingency Contract Blade's theme song, Art of Blade is a music full of Badass Boast and telling how unstoppable the singer is. But look closer at the lyrics, and you'll realize that it can apply to the Avengers and Hateful Avengers, for whom there are Contracts to make them even more dangerous in this CC. In short, these are enemies so deadly, they get their own theme song!
I am the one, I'm here, infiltrated.
Your time has come, to be, downgraded.
I've already won, as far as I can see
So keep your eyes on me.
I recommend you keep your distance, I'm combustible.
Keep on burning day and night, I am unstoppable.*
I'm searing hot, I am, UNTOUCHABLE!

Yes I'm on fire, ignited by a burning desire.
Can't contain this ember though you try,
Despite, all this time you try to stop me
I defy, the storm bringing me down.
I am the one, I'll be bested by none now.
When all is said and done, the day is mine.
  • The Hymnoi Hero and Warrior descriptions completely ignore gameplay info to talk about their non-fighting hobbies with the Hero as a secret binge drinker and the Warrior as someone who spends all days off at the theater.
  • One of Honeyberry's Operator Archive files reveal that she got into an intense debate with Hibiscus over sugar intake. Honeyberry was so determined and serious to prove her point that she went all the way out to find every journal and/or theories supporting her claim that having a good amount of sugar in one's meal is a good thing. After doing so, Hibiscus eventually conceded and actually took Honeyberry's advice to a point it actually improved Hibiscus's cooking. Honeyberry basically fought with Hibiscus over what constitute to a healthy diet and won.
  • Heavyrain's archive mentions that she had met Spot during her time in Sargon and borrowed a comic book from him to read, which she didn't return. When the archivist later asks Spot about it, he initially could not remember meeting her, but then remembered because he finally found out why a book in his comic book collections went missing.
  • One of Radiant Nearl's record files goes into detail about her new Sword-Lance weapon, and how a small replica of it was created as an example to challenge the other engineers in Rhodes Island. The funny part is that Nearl insisted that they agree to only make one such replica, presumably because she could see Closure's brief expression of greed as the vampire imagined opening a manufacturing line to make and sell replicas of her weapon to fans.
  • One of Gnosis's voicelines throws some subtle, but hilarious shade at the "Silverash Bloodline" memes.
Gnosis: "SilverAsh's sisters? Yes, I've met them several times... Hm...? What more do you want me to say? I know nothing about those frolicsome, ever-changing creatures, and I certainly am not interested in them."
  • Kazemaru's Elite 2 promotion archive reveals that she is popular enough around the landship to have a personal letterbox outside her room which several Operators have left letters in for her, which has also drawn some... bothersome attention.

'You had all these shiny straps one time when you came back, swinging about on this little handbag, and this huge smile. That was the moment I went, like, oh, damn, you're pretty cute!'

'The figures in your room are all really gorgeous, Miss~'

'I've had it really under control lately! I'm not going to spark everywhere anymore. Don't get mad at me again, okay? I'll give you a new hairdo, how about that?'note

'Second issue of L'Officiel Victoria came in. You weren't around at the stand that day, so I saved you a copy. No rush!'

'Um, you were wearing really pretty clothes the last time I saw you... I-I want to be pretty too! Can you teach me next time you come back? Please? Thank you!'

'Do you think some blue highlights would look nice on me? Hmm, what if I try some bigger curls?'

'Can your paper person thing hold water? How long can it last away from you? Do I get to learn how you control it? Can I have my own paper me? Can I trade this sword my family passed down for one?'
This last letter has been singled out and stuck onto the letterbox, written over in heavy letters: 'NO!'

—The personal letterbox at Kazemaru's door
  • Puzzle's Promotion Record file conjures up the hilarious mental image of the Victorian spy being forced to scrabble around the floor like everyone else to pick up puzzle pieces from the floor after one particular contestant in the Rhodes Island puzzle solving contest threw a fit at not winning.
  • A video posted on the official Youtube channel for Arknights has Lappland put on a most amusing expression of dismay when Amiya invites her to go try some of the Fruit Pizza. The very same fruit pizza made by the exiled chef who invented the Wrath of the Siracusans chocolate pasta.
  • Click's module, introduced on CN for the event "The Rides to Lake Silberneherze", is all about how someone in the Medical Department tried to help treat Click's nervousness around the larger and more scary Felines by exposure therapy, which basically amounted to surrounding her with the likes of Blaze, Mountain, Indra, Silverash, and Broca. The carved statuettes commemorating this failed experiment have all the Feline operators surrounding poor Click, who looks like she's about to turn tail and bolt out of the room.
  • Hoederer's files state that he often asks Hibiscus to cook for him, resulting in a number of other operators (who already know what Hibiscus's cooking tastes like) being utterly gobsmacked that the guy chooses to eat her cooking when its taste is something else. One of the funnier speculations is that Hoederer is into self-flagellation and derives enjoyment from enduring her cooking.
  • Shu is shown to be the most motherly among the Sui siblings, and many of Rhodes Island's operators are really happy with her arrival greatly improving their quality of life. Her siblings on the other hand...
    • Nian leaves to apparently gather up more materials for the Engineering Department.
    • Dusk willingly leaves her painting, apparently needing to gather up medicinal herbs for Rhodes Island.
    • Chongyue claims to go for a long walk to calm himself down.
    • And Ling vanishes without a word.

    Gameplay
  • In the Annihilation: Lungmen Downtown stage, one poor jetpack soldier is programmed to land on the bottomless pit and promptly plummets to their doom the moment they turn it off.
    • The Contingency Contract stage "Broken Path" has the same jetpack guy land on a group of flaming tiles, which he casually walks around on while burning to death and immediately dies for not leaving the area on fire (and he is the only one Reunion troop who appears in that operation, with most of the enemies being either bodyguards or infused Originum slugs).
      • His AI on Broken Path is explicitly programmed to deliberately keep walking around on the heatpumps until he dies. If you were to go out of your way to move him out of danger, and closer to his goal using a Shifter, he proceeds to walk all the way back to the heatpumps to die. It is possible to have him walk through the singular blue exit in Broken Path, but you'll have to shift him all the way there, as shown here
    • If that wasn't enough the currently Annihilation: Abandoned Frozen City stage features a Guerilla Siegebreaker (Basically a Guerilla jetpack) who lands in the lone hole on the right half of the map and promptly dies (his buddy lands just fine).
    • The fandom would coin the nickname "Kevin" to refer to any of these unfortunate Reunion troopers who would die an Undignified Death as part of a Scripted Event. This made it all the more amusing when Ethan's Operator Record was released, in which he meets an old acquaintance from Reunion named Kevin, who claims he missed the whole siege of Lungmen after his jetpack malfunctioned and dropped him into a garbage chute.
  • Many a costume skin for the characters usually gives awesome visual effects, but then there are some that come off as hilarious due to their usual weapons being replaced for the sake of costume theming. Examples include:
    • With her Halloween outfit equipped, Kroos trades in her crossbow for... a hatful of candies. Candies that she can hurl at enemies with such force that they'll die after a few shots. There's Improbable Weapon User, and there's this.
    • Another one is Skadi's Summer outfit, where she swaps her huge sword for... a soft Red Orca Plush/Balloon toy to smack the enemies to death. The effects when her skill is on also generate an orca.
    • Beeswax's Epoque skin replaces her skill's obelisk with a tower of ram-shaped cushions, in a similar vein to Skadi's orca plush sword.
    • Istina's Rhodes Kitchen outfit replaces her Arts catalyst from her book for... a stack of pancakes that can somehow fire Arts.
    • Magellan's Rhodes Kitchen skin has her arming her attack drones with surströmming. The smell must make them more terrifying than ever to the enemy.
    • Vigna's summer costume has her stabbing enemies with her usual lance, only with a fish stuck on it, presumably because she took it spear fishing before the mission; she also has a cute rubber duckie balanced on her hat.
    • Thorns still uses his normal weapon in his i.t crossover skin for ranged attacks and during his third skill. However, when no skills are activated and he blocks enemies, he attacks them with shopping bags for a melee attack. Not to mention that those are somehow more powerful than that of his ranged attacks where he uses his sword.
    • W's Epoque skin replaces the land mines she sets with her S2 with a bunch of potatoes turned into IEDs. A voice track update for the skin planned for the 3rd Anniversary changes some of her lines, including a hilarious track where she compares Ines's head with a potato in a sing-song voice, muses about turning the potato into a mine, then asks Hoederer if he's hungry and wants the potato, and a pair of matched lines where she's either in a good or bad mood, and either way it's going to be an unfortunate time for the enemy.
      • Amusingly enough, the former voiceline would be defictionalized in 2023 — a plush potato with Ines's face crudely drawn on was made available through the CN merch store to commemorate her debut as an operator. There's even a little plush bomb inside for added authenticity!
      • The illustrator gave the backstory of the skin: The firewood they gathered are too wet to use, while Ines and Hoederer stand in the background arguing whose fault it is.
    • Weedy's Christmas skin turns her water cannon turrets into Nutcracker Soldiers shooting off water-powered cork rifles with tremendous knockback.
    • Lancet's Shore Rescue skin adds a floatie to her and gives her a bright, cheerful yellow coat of paint. Hey, Dylan, she finally got her beachwear on!
    • Ceobe's Tempest: Unfettered skin looks almost normal, until you get to the flavor text that states that she ran off before Vulcan could get her to wear the pants/leggings that were the last piece of the clothing set.
    • Wild Mane's Justice Maker skin changes her deployment animation to have her cartoonishly skid across the ground in an almost Looney Tunes-esque manner.
    • The Terra Research Commission trio's skin, "Fly into the Street", has them skateboarding, taking selfies, and carrying spray paint cans in an area with signs forbidding all three activities, perfectly demonstrating their casual disregard for various rules. Palico has traded in his Wiggler hat for a Traffic Cone hat, and Craftsman is doing a meme dance in his tap animation.
    • Both of Cardigan's skins replace her Blade Below the Shoulder - with her winter skin replacing it for a candy cane, and her Epoque skin having her use a baguette.
  • Immediately before Blaze blows up at the end of her S3, her normally a confident grin briefly morphs into...this.
  • Map DM-3 from Darknights's Memoir introduces the player to the Sarkaz Lancer, note  an enemy who gradually builds up speed as they charge towards your base, hitting any Operator in their way with an attack that does more damage the faster they're going. At the end of the stage, three Lancers will appear on the bottom half of the map where the wind Geo Effects will boost their speed even further, ensuring you'll need your sturdiest Defender to have any hope of surviving their charge... Or you could just retreat your Operators from that lane (or use someone with a skill that stops them from blocking enemies like Myrtle or Elysium), then sit back and watch as all three of them dash straight past the base and over the edge of a cliff because they're going too fast to correct course in time.
  • Push/Pull shenanigans coupled with Crownslayer bullying can result in increasingly over-the-top ways for Crownslayer to get Blown Across the Room, like in this clip.note
  • Map TGT-7, which is a nostalgia trip back to Main Story 4-4 with bottomless pits, adds a comical new way for Crownslayer to bully herself: If you position your operator at the corner with the pit besides them, Crownslayer will try to slip past them with her skill, only to overshoot and fall into the pit.
  • After defeating "Big Ugly", the boss of Gavial The Great Chief Returns, it explodes and it's pilot High Priest crashes where it was defeated, and proceeds to run around with its tail on fire.
    • This phenomenon is repeated in Ideal City, where Stitch ends up stunned for a long time after you disable his drone and he falls out of it.
  • A glitch in the Mansfield Break event for node MB-8 has it that if you knock the boss out while in Phase 1 and then send him flying with a Push Specialist while the boss is about to shift to Phase 2 before his health meter is fully recovered, the boss won't even register that he got pushed back and keeps walking towards the direction that he got pushed. As demonstrated here and a full view of the boss's location here.
    • The glitch is not removed in the global release as shown here!
  • The base skill of each crossover operator from Rainbow Six Siege, Team Rainbow, decreases the rate of every Control Center operator's morale decay by 0.05 for each Rainbow operator stationed in the Control Center. Since there are four operators available, this will negate the morale decay rate by 4*4*0.05 = 0.8 morale/hr. Adding up with the base negation of 0.05 for each operator in the Control Center, this will give a total negation of 1 morale/hr- i.e., the operators in the Control Center will never lose morale when all four operators are present. Stationing almost any fifth operator alongside them will give another 0.05 morale/hr negation, causing those five in the Control Center to consume -0.05 morale/hr, which means they recharge their morale at 0.05 morale/hr. Players are quick to put Amiya or Swire as that fifth operator, since they provide a trade bonus when stationed at the Control Center. This leads to Amiya or Swire being garrisoned at the Control Center 24/7, without the need to replace them at all!
    • Making Amiya the fifth operator can be interpreted as the player's own way of getting back at Amiya for telling them to keep working when they idle in the Home menu for more than 30 seconds.
    • Some Operators' base skills mitigate the benefits of the Team Rainbow combination, which can be interpreted as that Operator being too much for even Team Rainbow to handle. Aak's Neuroticism, Leizi's Picky (before she gets promoted to E2 and it's replaced with Discernment), and certain arrangements involving Gladiia's base skills all fall under this.
  • The Dossoles Holiday event features a new High Tide/Low Tide mechanic via a tutorial where the the field becomes flooded with water. To demonstrate that it impacts enemies just as much as the player, two Dockworkers spawn after the field gets flooded. In the same hilarious fashion as Kevin the jetpack guy, one of them promptly strolls into the water and dies near-instantly, and the other one just turns around and walks back to his spawn point before despawning.
  • Another darkly funny moment from Dossoles Holiday: in DH-9, Pancho's second phase has pathfinding that brings him to the edge of the deck. It is possible for him to get pushed backwards, possibly by an operator or summon deploying to the tile in front of him at the right moment. This can result in Pancho losing his footing and falling overboard, defeating him instantly like so.
  • Bena's side story in Preluding Lights establishes her as something of a prankster, and her base skill "Reliable" Helper reflects this by being a joke at the player's expense. When assigned to a factory she'll increase its maximum capacity by 17 slots, which makes her one of only two Operators in the game to qualify for the triple productivity boost from Bubble's skill Bigger is Better!note  You'd think this would make them a perfect combination... except Bena also comes with a hefty 20% productivity malus, undoing almost any benefit you'd have gotten from using her over any other Operator. Suddenly, the Scare Quotes around "Reliable" start to make sense.
    • She technically synergizes with Eunectes, Passenger, and Weedy, since their base skills negate her productivity malus entirely. Considering said skills imply the use of automation, this can be interpreted as Bena not needing to be relied on, but still appreciated for helping with inventory space.
  • Blood Knight, despite being That One Boss, can easily get KO-ed without having to invoke his second phase via pushing him into the pitfall, as seen here.
  • The Where Vernal Winds Will Never Blow event features enemies known as the Shanhaizhong Relayer, who, upon mounting the Yumen Catastrophe Defense tiles that are part of the event, will drop a Shanhaizhong Cipher Machine on an unoccupied space, which benefit enemies by increasing attack and movement speed. Naturally, players are meant to destroy the Machines to nullify the buffs, but some players deliberately allow them to fill every possible tile with the Machines to crank the speed boost to its highest possible level for laughs, resulting in ridiculous videos where the enemies are moving too fast to turn corners and glitch into the surrounding terrain and ranged tiles. Yes, this even applies to Ya.
  • In Lone Trail, while Kristen's second phase seems threatening enough as she becomes a bulky and hard to beat boss and can't be shifted away. She is however, not immune to other debuffs such as silence, stun and sleep. You can technically stall Kristen to sleep or stun her before she reaches the goal, as these two video's show.
  • There's a screenshot of Eunectes, Manticore, Tuye, and Passenger posing together for a group shot in the second Reclamation Agency event, with Passenger holding an awkward-looking expression. What makes this funny is the backstory behind it, which extends all the way to the plot of the first Reclamation Agency - Passenger is reluctant to stand next to Manticore because he's worried that she remembers his past as the Sand Soldier and how his machinations left her homeless in Sargon back then, while Tuye promises not to spray him with her water bottle while the photo is being taken, and Eunectes asks him to come closer because he's standing apart from the group for the shot.
    • Second before the snapshot, the photographer(implies to be Doctor, giving their interaction with everyone) did a roll call and realized they are missing one person from the team. Of course, everyone laughed because the photographer made a simple mistake of not counting themselves in, just when the photo is taken.

  • Thanks to originium, Terra's technology tree is whacked enough to elicit a chuckle. This is a world where nations build mobilized cities, yet firearms are rare weapons because they work via originium Arts, with no one on Rhodes Island knowing what nitrocellulose was until they met Team Rainbow. Chapter 7 even suggests that no one in Reunion Movement ever saw an aircraft before, even though they are capable of creating drones. This makes Columbia and Rhodes Island the only one that has access to them.
  • There is the braille code written on the leftmost side of the 10x limited headhunting permit, which can be deciphered to this line:
    It's fucking limited!
  • The official English Arknights youtube channel gets in on the comedy; Closure's Secret Files episode 12 cracks a joke that hit too close to home with the playerbase, with Closure finding that Angelina and Shirayuki's work in the Reception Room has yielded nothing but Clue 7, all while Angelina sports a cute smile that somehow gives viewers the impression she's laughing internally at Closure's distress.
  • One of the relics found in the second Integrated Strategies directly references the Doctor's hilariously goofy tendency to boil their instant noodles in their mouth directly, it is a kettle similar to the ones used in Rhodes Island that is 'comfortingly familiar'. The same kettle appears in the animated short "Home Service" from the Lee's Detective Agency animations that are available on the Arknights Youtube channel.
  • The Japanese second anniversary livestream featured Sora singing one of her songs, Any, on stream. The funny part? the bar she's singing in is a mess, with bullet holes all over it. Yes, she's singing in one of the Emperor's bars, specifically the one that got trashed during Code of Brawl by the Siracusan Mafia.
  • The 3.5 Anniversary Livestream for EN Global had a number of amusing things added:
    • One, Harlequin-wheels added a bunch of cameo appearances by the Nian Sister beans sneaking around the corners of the actual livestream.
    • Two, Ch'en manages to troll Lin despite not appearing on-screen, to the point that Lin swears in bleeped-out profanity in anger at Ch'en for making fun of her live.
  • The descriptions for the Battle Records make them sound like special edition DVDs. The Frontline Battle Record includes 3 hours of special features, the Tactical Battle Record has the creator's signature on it, and the Strategic Battle Record includes an HD remaster and a collector's edition.
  • The description for Transmuted Salt ends with a warning to never eat industrial salt under any circumstance.
  • Ambience Synesthesia 2023 concert:
    • Lumen sees the dresses being provided to Irene and Horn and thinks he has to wear one too, only for Irene to point out that he has a suit, much to his relief.
    • Ling, Lee, Lin, and Lava find a mysterious magic puzzle box. Lava tries to open it as Lee does some divination, only for the latter to discover too late that it shouldn't be opened as not only is it empty, W rigged it to blow up.
    • Enforcer sincerely believes that all of Fiammetta's nicknames were given to her out of praise, proclaiming that she truly is the Flamboyant Crime Buster of Laterano as their group pursues W. Fiammetta's pissed that she has a new crappy nickname.
  • The trailer for upcoming collaboration with Delicious in Dungeon has the Doctor (presumably) trying to cook an Originium Slug, but they were having issue trying to dispatch it. Tried to smack it with a rolling pin, it dodged, tried to capture it with a bowl, it ran away, and eventually the other slugs also escaped. Finally the Doctor had enough, brought out Ifrit's flamethrower, successfully dispatched it, and made a sumptuous-looking meal out of the slugs.

  • The Livestream Fails Montage of 777ucky's Integrated Strategy runs is one of the only occasions where he talks, and one specific occasion at 5:53 combined with his voice makes it very entertaining:
777ucky: Okay, so. Now, I just realized...that I still... have... no... Snipers? What am I gonna do with that. I just realized that.
(mission continues without much of a hitch)
(new wave with a bombtail approaches)
777ucky: Okay... Problem! Problem incoming! Problem hitting...
    777ucky: (desperately activates Ansel's skill)
    (Ansel and Warfarin die)
    777ucky (surprised): Like a truck!
(777ucky doesn't manage to kill the drone due to a lack of Snipers and sees a new wave incoming)
    777ucky: Big problem! Huge problem!
(sound of the drone entering blue box)
    777ucky: NOOooo!
    (Cardigan dies)
    777ucky: NOOooo!
777ucky: (looks on as enemies pass by his operators, forfeiting his run and all operators die) Sad panda! Sad panda!

  • The YouTuber Tectone has made a video where he designed a randomizer for Arknights. It would choose a team of random units, a random stage, and a certain rule that you had to abide to. To show it off, he picked one at random and he only realized he had sent several (randomly picked, of course) units he had underlevelled note  into 5-7. Cue the panic.
  • After Saga was added to the game, her artist celebrated by drawing her excitedly diving into a hot spring... on the men's side, prompting Hoshiguma and Blaze to come in and drag her away.
  • When the Chinese server had their second anniversary event (featuring Kal'tsit and Skadi the Corrupting Heart), the servers had issues and kept booting people off it. It turned out that it was because there were so many people trying to login that the servers thought it was a DDOS attack and sent everyone to a safe server that couldn't access the game! Suffering from Success, indeed.
  • When "A Light Spark in Darkness" launched on the Japanese server, Goldenglow's artist Namie attempted to pull on the banner to get her girl and raise her to maximum potential on a livestream. It took her 587 pulls to get to 5 potential, she had to use Royal Caster Tokens to get the last potential, and the sheer number of Skyfire duplicates and off-banner spooking she got frustrated her to the point that she temporarily went into Zero Sanity mode and blamed the stream viewers for stealing her luck.
  • A fan on Twitter decided to host the Arknights lesbian showdown poll where random characters square off against each other in many Twitter polls. In the end, Talulah ended up winning with Saria following behind in second. The funniest thing? NoriZC somehow caught wind of the championship on Weibo, confusing the poor guy. He even drew a picture of a baffled Saria!
  • The artists for Skadi, Grani and Archetto (Alchemaniac) and Mizuki and Goldenglow (Namie) have had a running rivalry on Twitter which went back and forth. It started with Alchemaniac teasing Namie about Susie being a dog, then escalated into what was effectively a pair of parents squabbling over who had the better son/daughter. This video summarizes some of the amusing exchanges this rivalry beget over the course of a few months, which covers everything from Alchemaniac implying that Archetto was sent to troll Namie during her attempt to raise Goldenglow to maximum potential during a gacha livestream, to the two artists squabbling over who to pick and save/fight during Integrated Strategies 3, which features both Mizuki and Skadi (as the Corrupting Heart) as major characters in its narrative.
  • The simple fact that the Aprils' Fools side stories had a Funny Background Event that spoiled Hoederer's survival sparked a massive wave of amusement and fancomics, as Hoederer was the One-Eyed Agent that helped Eureka (before her stint as the joke operator U-Official) set up her livestreams and run superchat, and said April's Fool event chronologically took place after Victoria. So, yes, Hoederer was discovered to have survived due to having his status as Eureka's fan, manager, and simp revealed to the world. One can only imagine how much Ines and W teased him when they discovered his hobby.
