Dökkálfheimr, The Realm of Nightmares

In Book IV of Fire Emblem Heroes, the Order of Heroes travel to Dökkálfheimr, the land of nightmares; a very strange, otherworldly realm inhabited by the dökkálfar. Freyja, the ruler of Dökkálfheimr, along with her cohorts Triandra and Plumeria, are able to conjure up nightmare concepts to attack the Order of Heroes.

In the "Nihility & Dream" Tempest Trials series, the álfar of Ljósálfheimr and Dökkálfheimr are attacked by an old enemy they once defeated: the ruler of the nothingness herself.

    Realm of Dökkálfheimr on General
  • Adults Are Useless: More of "Adults From The Mortal Realm Are Useless", but in a flashback in Book IV Chapter 7 has Freyr and Freyja tell children dreaming that adults in the mortal realm forgot how to dream, and therefore unable to help them save their realms from Ginnungagap, and had to resort to asking the help of children pure of heart themselves to become heroes they dreamed of by drinking some flower nectar Freyja offers, including Sharena.
  • Alien Landmass: Dökkálfheimr is an otherworldly realm full of unusual plantlife, with pink and purple-colored grass, biolumeniscent fungi, strange pear-shaped lanterns, and trees with a glowing pink energy orb visible from twisted bark. Additionally, the moon is a bright blue and there are giant fungi shaped like dragonblood trees in the background.
  • Animal Motif: Butterflies are the main theme of the álfar, as well as their realms.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Triandra and Plumeria, both Dökkálfr, have noticeable fangs in their portraits.
  • Dream Land: Both realms exist because mortals dream, qualifying both realms as this.
  • Extra Turn: The álfar (except Freyr and Freyja) can all grant an additional action to an ally that has already taken their turn, to various effects.
  • Facial Markings: The dökkálfr have facial markings, which are different for each individual.
  • The Fair Folk: Dökkálfr bring nightmares? Check. Have a fairy motif instead of a traditional elf motif? Check. Live in a realm of nightmares themselves and are considered evil? Check.
  • Fairy Sexy: Both álfar resemble traditional fairies, and have both sizable busts and tight clothing that show Side Boob and bare thighs.
  • Fantastic Flora: Dökkálfheimr is full of alien plantlife not found in any of the other Nine Realms.
  • Fighter, Mage, Thief: While all of the fairy-like álfr are fliers that boost multiple stats at once, they each specialize in a specific type of gameplay, a trend that carries over to their alternate versions.
    • Peony is the Thief, having moderate Atk/Spd and below average Def/Res. She supports her allies by giving them extra movement options.
    • Mirabilis is the Warrior, always being loaded on Def/Res and average Atk, but very little Spd. She always has a way of dropping the enemy's Atk over a wide area.
    • Triandra is another Thief, having very high Atk/Spd in exchange for even worse Def/Res. She focuses on crippling the enemy's defenses.
    • Plumeria is the Mage, bucking the previous trends by having huge Atk/Res in exchange for very little Spd/Def. She boosts the damage of her allies.
  • Floral Theme Naming: All of the álfar are named after flowers, with Freyr and Freyja being an exception, which them being named after Norse Mythology characters.
  • Land of Faerie: Dökkálfheimr is the land of Nightmares, inhabited by dökkálfr, all of which are malevolent to children.
  • Nightmare Weaver: The Dökkálfr all bring bad dreams to mortals.
  • Our Elves Are Different: For one, most of them resemble fairies more than traditional elves.
  • Our Fairies Are Different: They're human sized fairies that have both of their race named after the Elves in Norse Mythology.
  • Plant Hair: The álfar all have flowers growing out of their hair. Freyr and Freyja are once again an exception to this.
  • Pointy Ears: Like their inspiration, all of them have pointy ears.
  • Shown Their Work:
    • The álfar of both realms look like traditional fairies rather than elves. However, in ancient myths, elves and fairies (as well as dwarves and gnomes) were all said to have been the same creature, with the names used to describe them interchangeably.
    • The reason why "elf" and "álfr" can be used interchangeably is because "álfr" is quite literally just the word "elf" or "fairy". The word "ljós" means "light" and "dökk" means "dark", so combined it is translated literally as "Light Elf" and "Dark Elf" respectively. This is the same in Norse Mythology.
  • Theme Naming: While the rulers have their names come from Norse Mythology, most of the álfar are named after flowers.
  • Villain Team-Up: In the "Book IV Ending Movie" both Triandra and Plumeria are invited by "Líf" and "Thrasir" to the side of the gods to have their wish to revive Freyja come true. However, with Freyja's revival at the end of the "Nihility & Dreams" Tempest Trials+ Series, the deal is off when Freyja asks for their loyalty again.
  • Was Once a Man: All of the álfr were actually once mortals who were turned at a young age by drinking dream nectar Freyr and Freyja offered to them to save their realm from collapsing from the nothingness. Sharena was offered to become an álfr, but she refused and left the realm of Dreams, being called a traitor by Freyja when they meet again.
  • World of Buxom: Freyja, Triandra, and Plumeria are all very well-endowed and they each have alternate forms that show this off.
  • You Can't Go Home Again: Freyr reveals in Book IV Chapter 10 that the dream nectar turns mortal children into álfr if they drink it, but the result is that they cannot return to their mortal lives again. It was with children with horrific childhoods that both Freyr and Freyja chose to offer the dream nectar to save their realms because those children would most likely will never want to return to their mortal lives if given the choice, as shown with Triandra and Plumeria in the previous chapters. The only one who refused was Sharena, as it was revealed in Book IV Chapter 11, and it is mainly because she has a caring family to get back to when her dream ends.

Lady of Nightmare / Fleeting Summer
"The world is just so dull without you, Brother. You should come to my world... Come with me, to Dökkálfheimr."

The vanir queen of the dökkálfr and ruler of Dökkálfheimr. The sister of Freyr, whom she is overly obsessed with. In late November 2020, she was released as a Mythic Hero of Light.

Voiced by: Megumi Hayashibara (Japanese), Stephanie Southerland (English)
Artist: Yoshiku (regular, Summer's Dream), cuboon (Spring Eternal)
Class: Green Beast Cavalier (Normal), Colorless Beast Cavalier (Summer's Dream)

  • Action Initiative:
    • As a Beast Cavalier, her weapons, including her Nightmare Horn and Brightmare Horn, has the standard pre-7.7.0 effect of denying any of the foe's follow-up attacks if she initiates combat and is transformed.
    • The unique refine for her regular version's Nightmare Horn allows her to ignore skills that guarantee the foe's follow-up attacks and deny any of her follow-up attacks if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat.
    • Her Summer variant's Brightmare Horn allows her to ignore skills that deny any of her follow-up attacks if she is transformed and at 25% HP or above at the start of combat.
  • Adaptational Modesty: Believe it or not, compared to the original Norse Mythology, even her Stripperific Summer variant is more modest than her original incantation, due to Freyja in Norse Mythology is often depicted topless or even only wearing a cape or robe that doesn't even properly cover her up. Here, she has to cover up due to Heroes being a Teen-rated game.
  • Arc Villain: She's the main antagonist of Book IV.
  • Armor-Piercing Attack: Her playable variant has Luna by default, where it ignores 50% of the foe's Def/Res when it activates.
  • Balance Buff: Her regular variant in update 7.8.0 gives a refine for her Nightmare Horn, which the refined version grants her +4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat if the foe is at 50% HP or above at the start of combat, as well as give her the post-7.7.0 standard Beast Cavalry effect of inflicting -3 Atk/Def on the foe during combat, as well as further -1 Atk/Def on the foe during combat for each space the initiator moved before attacking, up to -3 Atk/Def during combat, and reduces damage taken from the foe's first attack by 30% if the initiator moved at least 2 spaces before combat, if she was transformed, and the unique refine gives her [Canto (Rem. +1)], -1 maximum special cooldown, and grants her an additional +4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat and ignore skills that guarantee the foe's follow-up attacks and deny any of her follow-up attacks if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat, Binding Necklace+ now removes the condition for her to transform, treats as if she has +7 Spd when she compares her Spd to her foe's or ally's Spd, changes the condition buff herself, debuff her foe and basically steals the foe's field stat buffs, and additionally allows her to ignore skills that inflict -X special buildup on her per attack, to trigger either if the foe initiates combat or there is at most 1 ally adjacent to her, and increases the base buffs and debuffs to 3 instead of 2, and gives her Spd Smoke 4.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Freyr was the only one kind to her when she was ridiculed for having a mark under her nose as a child. As a result, Freyja rejected all others and focused her affections solely for her brother, taking it to Yandere levels.
  • Big Brother Attraction: She is... not subtle about her feelings for Freyr.
  • Big Brother Worship: She really admires her elder brother Freyr so much that she would do anything for him. Said admiration has been taken to Yandere levels before the events of Book IV happens.
  • Big "NO!": She screams this at the end of Book IV Chapter 10 when Freyr dies at the hands of the Order of Heroes at his own request.
  • Bond Villain Stupidity: Choosing to torture the Order of Heroes instead of killing them while she has both the power of dreams and nightmares at her disposal ends up convincing Freyr to pull a Suicide by Cop in order to cancel out his half of the powers for her so they can escape and depower her back to her normal power. Needless to say, she suffers a Despair Event Horizon.
  • Boobs-and-Butt Pose: Her damaged art in her Summer attire prominently shows her bust and butt.
  • Brother–Sister Incest: Like in Norse Mythology, Freyja has a thing for her brother. In Heroes, said "thing" is taken to Yandere levels.
  • Cooldown Manipulation: An Inverted case, her playable regular version has Pulse Smoke, where after combat, she inflicts +1 special cooldown on her target and any foes within 2 spaces of the target, but not beyond their maximum cooldown. The unique refine for her regular version's Nightmare Horn grants her -1 max special cooldown.
  • Counter-Attack: Her regular version's Nightmare Horn allows her to counterattack foes, regardless of their range.
  • Damage-Increasing Debuff:
    • As a Beast Cavalier, her weapons, including her unrefined Nightmare Horn, has the standard pre-7.7.0 effect of inflicting -4 Atk/Def during combat if she initiates combat if she's transformed outside of combat, whereas the refined Nightmare Horn has the post-7.7.0 Beast Cavalry effect of inflicting -3 Atk/Def on the foe during combat, as well as further -1 Atk/Def on the foe during combat for each space the initiator moved before attacking, up to -3 Atk/Def during combat, if she was transformed.
    • Her playable Regular and Summer variant has Binding Necklace, which, alongside other effects, inflict -2 Atk/Spd/Def/Res to the foe during combat if she's not adjacent to an ally. Her regular variant also has Binding Necklace+, where it inflicts -3 Atk/Spd/Def/Res on the foe during combat if either the foe initiates combat or there is at most 1 ally adjacent to her.
  • Damage Reduction:
    • Her regular version's Nightmare Horn allows her to reduce damage she has taken from foe's attacks and non-Røkkr AOE specials by 4% for every point of Spd she has over them, up to 40% damage reduced. She also has Spd Smoke 4, where, in addition to granting her +6 Spd and inflicts -7 Spd to all foes within 2 spaces of the target after combat, it grants her [Dodge] after combat, which has the same effect.
    • Her Brightmare Horn allows her to reduce damage she has taken from foe's attacks and non-Røkkr AOE specials by 4% for every point of Spd she has over them, up to 40% damage reduced, if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat. However, if an AOE special did reduce her HP to under 25% HP in the process, the damage reduction will not activate during combat.
  • Deconstructed Character Archetype: The Fire Emblem franchise was no stranger with siblings with incestuous tones, especially from the sister, but most of them are heroic. Freyja can be said to be taking elements from those characters, but since she is an antagonist, this means that she's free to take the incestuous undertones into a way more blatant and unhealthy level.
  • Defeat Means Respect: Just like with Surtr, her playable version is surprisingly compliant, commending the Summoner for taking her down and acknowleding that she is bound to a summoning contract.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Freyja starts off in the game as a cold, uncaring, ruthless queen who only cares about herself, her brother, and the alfar. However, she starts to lose that as the game progresses, such as the end of Book IV when she brings Triandra and Plumeria back to life before she dies, and her Summer variant where she starts to show much more acts of kindness and care to everyone not named Freyr.
  • Despair Event Horizon: She crosses this at the end of Book IV Chapter 10 when her brother Freyr dies. It's because of this that she doesn't pursue the Order of Heroes when they escape at the end that chapter.
  • Doppleganger Attack: In Book IV Chapter 9-5, there are 3 Freyjas at the start of the map, with reinforcements including 6 more copies of her to always have at most 3 Freyjas on the map, totaling up to 9 Freyjas for the Order of Heroes to fight against, with some of them having different skills from the others Freyjas.
  • Dual Boss: In her and Triandra's Mythic Hero Battle, she is fought alongside Triandra.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: She is utterly bamboozled by Plumeria and Triandra's continued loyalty to her even to the point of being willing to die for her. It's to the point where she doesn't even understand her own empathy when she revives them at the end of Book IV.
  • Final Boss: For all effective intents and purposes, she's the final boss of Book IV; she gets the map music reserved for when you fight the Arc Villain of each book for the last time, she and her minions are several levels higher than Post-Final Boss Loki, and defeating her brings an end to the story arc while Loki is more of a post-story mop-up.
  • Foil: To her more benevolent and kind brother, at least after her descent to villainy. An example is how her brother laments the fact they turned humans into ljósálfr and dökkálfr, therefore stripping their mortal lives, but she has no regrets about it since they saved the siblings from vanishing from their world...though now she sees their saviors as tools to further her immorally insane plots.
  • Fragile Speedster: Subverted. At a glance, both variants of Freyja has high Atk and Spd, but low Def and Res, making it seem like she is this. In reality, thanks to the Damage Reduction effect of her weapons, Nightmare Horn and Brightmare Horn, she reduces the damage of anyone slower than her up to 40% at max. This means that she can increase her defenses to nearly having forty in both Def and Res.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Freyr says that she used to be a little girl who was ridiculed because she happened to be born with a mark under her nose, making her the target of criticism over her appearance. Then she grew up into a beautiful woman who received a lot of courting proposals from men, but she turned them all down because Freyr was the only person who looked out after her... whom she took their relationship too far to a catastrophic degree.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Stated in her description, she harbors bitter jealousy over lesser mortals due to them taking Freyr's attention away from her.
  • Gruesome Goat: Freyja takes a form of an Ibex goat to attack her foes, and is the main villain of Book IV.
  • Hidden Buxom: She wears a relatively conservative outfit consisting of a long, flowing, elegant dress adorned with a large, eye-catching butterfly on the midsection, while her shoulders and sternum are covered with gray sheer fabric that barely shows her cleavage. Her Summer variant is far more Stripperiffic in design and shows that she has one of the largest busts of any character in the series, putting the likes of Camilla, Loki, Dagr, and Nótt to shame.
  • Historical In-Joke: Freyja transforming into a goat is a bit hilarious when in Hyndluljóð of Norse Mythology, the jötunn Hyndla used the term "Heiðrún" to insult Freyja, with "Heiðrún" being commonly translated as "she-goat".
  • Hit-and-Run Tactics: The unique refine for her regular version's Nightmare Horn gives her [Canto (Rem. +1)], which allows her to move spaces equal to the remainder of the spaces she did not use yet plus one after taking an action once per turn.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Her Binding Necklace and Binding Necklace+, if the foe has any field stat buffs at the start of combat, allows her to gain stats during combat and inflict on the foe debuffs on theirs stats equal to each of their field stat buffs during combat if she is not adjacent to an ally for the former and if either the foe initiates combat or there is at most 1 ally adjacent to her for the latter, essentially stealing their buffs during combat and negating theirs.
  • Holiday Mode: Her Summer variant has her wearing a summer-themed outfit while also holding a Freyr floatie and her Spring variant has her wears a Playboy Bunny outfit alongside Karla.
  • Horned Humanoid: She has two red curved ram-like horns at the side of her head. Fittingly, she transforms into a goat to attack her enemies. It's a hint that Freyja's true home isn't Dökkálfheimr, but Vanaheimr.
  • Hot God: Is explicitly referred to as a vanir goddess ruling over the realm of nightmares, being able to give others power, revive them, and warp reality, and has both a beautiful face and extraordinarily curvy body, the latter emphasized heavily by her Summer variant that has her in a bikini which shows off her massive chest and backside.
  • I Hate Past Me: She's not really fond of her past self Eitr, considering her to be something of an "embarrassment".
  • Irony:
    • Freyja in Norse Mythology rules over Fólkvangr. In Heroes, she opposes Alfonse, who wields a sword named Fólkvangr, and even has color advantage over her.
    • Freyja is the ruler of the Realm of Nightmares, yet she is a Mythic Hero of Light.
  • I Work Alone:
    • Her playable regular and Summer variant has Atk/Spd Solo 4, which if she's not adjacent to an ally at the start of combat, she gains +7 Atk/Spd during combat. Her playable and Summer variant also has Binding Necklace, which allows her to give herself +2 Atk/Spd/Def/Res and inflict -2 Atk/Spd/Def/Res on the foe, as well as if the foe has any field stat buffs, she gain those stats and inflict on the foe those stats during combat equal to each individual stat the foe has, if she's not adjacent to an ally during combat.
    • As a beast unit, Freyja can only reap the full benefits of her Nightmare Horn (granting her +2 Atk and inflicting -4 Atk/Def and preventing opposing follow-ups if she initiates combat) by transforming only when she starts her turn next to no allies or is adjacent to a dragon or another beast ally. Averted if she has Binding Necklace+ equipped, where it removes the condition to transformed, meaning that she can be adjacent to any ally and still transform.
  • Light Is Not Good: Freyja is a Light-elemental Mythic Hero whose design is bright and colorful. However, she is the ruler of the realm of nightmares, once lived in Vanaheimr, the Realm of Light, and she detests mortals, only having eyes for her brother Freyr.
  • Lightning Bruiser:
    • With her regular variant's fantastic Atk of 38 and outstanding Spd of 44, but average HP of 40 and low Def and Res of 24 and 22, respectively, she has the statline of a Glass Cannon. However, thanks to her Nightmare Horn's Damage Reduction depending if she's faster than her foe, she's this instead.
    • With her Summer variant's fantastic Atk of 39 and outstanding Spd of 43, but average HP of 40 and low Def of 25 and poor Res of 20, she also has the statline of a Glass Cannon like her regular variant. Like her regular variant however, with her Brightmare Horn's Damage Reduction depending if she's faster than her foe, she's also this instead.
  • Like Father, Like Daughter: Freyja is the younger daughter of Njörðr, which is obvious with the visual similarities between the two. They also share the same hatred for mortals, thinking they are lowly insects who deserve to be crushed, albeit for different reasons.
  • Kamehame Hadoken: In her goat form, she attacks by firing an energy beam from her forehead.
  • Morphic Resonance: When she transforms into a goat, she still has her wreath and butterfly wings decorations on her goat form.
  • Mother Goddess: Is a Goddess of the Nightmare Álfar and also acts as a surrogate mother figure to the álfr, including those she saved when they were human like Plumeria and Triandra, who themselves lacked loving mother figures. She ends up coming to care for them enough to put her own life in jeopardy to resurrect them.
  • Motivational Lie: In Book IV Chapter 13, Freyja tells the Summoner that Alfonse is dead in reality and they can remain in the Dream World to have a chance to revive Alfonse in return to revive her brother Freyr, who was killed via Suicide by Cop in a previous chapter. However, the end of Book IV reveals that Alfonse is alive and well in reality, revealing that she lied about him being dead and just wanted her brother back.
  • No-Sell: The unique refine for her regular version's Nightmare Horn allows her to ignore skills that guarantee the foe's follow-up attacks and deny any of her follow-up attacks if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat, and her Binding Necklace+ allows her to ignore skills that inflicts -X special buildup on her per attack during combat if either the foe initiates combat or there is at most 1 ally adjacent to her.
  • Playboy Bunny: Her Spring variant wears bunny outfit that exposes her cleavage, which she matches alongside Karla's Spring variant, which is modest compared to her subordinate Triandra's Spring variant's outfit.
  • Pre-Mortem One-Liner:
    "So unpleasant!" (regular)
    "A dream neverending." (regular)
    "You'll see..." (regular)
    "A cruel dream, then!" (regular)
    "Gasp for breath!" (Summer's Dream)
    "Avert your gaze!" (Summer's Dream)
    "Nightmare upon you." (Summer's Dream)
    "Drift into darkness." (Summer's Dream)
  • Promoted to Playable: She was released as a Mythic Hero in late November 2020, shortly after Book IV was finished.
  • Purposely Overpowered: Fitting for a final boss of Book IV, her playable regular version's weapon, skills, and statline are powerful, especially for a Cavalry Beast unit. Her Nightmare Horn gives her Distant Counter, Damage Reduction based on how much faster she is to her foe, and a strong Beast effect of denying the foe's follow-up attacks if she initiates combat and is transformed, her Atk/Spd Solo 4 giving her big boosts to her Atk and Spd and Binding Necklace basically stealing stats and bonuses on foes if she's not adjacent to an ally, and a Glass Cannon statline with her with the highest Spd cap at 44 for all heroes on the time of her release, with her skillkit basically making her a Lightning Bruiser.
  • Recurring Boss: She is fought 6 times in Book IV.
  • Redemption Promotion: Her playable variant, while having the same stat spread as her enemy variant, has her Binding Necklace over her enemy variant.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: She has red eyes, but that's not what makes her dangerous; it's the fact that they started to glow is.
  • Reluctant Fanservice Girl: Her Summer variant is aware that her revealing outfit makes her attractive but she's not very pleased about it, mostly because a lot more eyes that aren't her brother's are on her.
  • Secret Art: As a playable character, she has Binding Necklace as her exclusive B skill. If she's not adjacent to an ally, she gains +2 Atk/Spd/Def/Res and inflicts -2 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat, and if the foe has any field stat buffs with the same activation conditions, she gains stats equal to their individual value and inflicts debuffs equal to their individual value during combat, where for example, if the foe has +6 Atk and +4 Spd, she gains +6 Atk and +4 Spd and inflicts -6 Atk and -4 Spd on the foe during combat. She also has Binding Necklace+, where it remove the condition to transform, gives her +7 Spd for effects that compare her Spd to her foe's Spd, and if either the foe initiates combat or there is at most 1 ally adjacent to her, she gains +3 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat, inflicts -3 Atk/Spd/Def/Res on the foe during combat, ignore skills that inflict -x special buildup on her per attack and if the foe has any field stat buffs with the same activation conditions, she gains stats equal to their individual value and inflicts debuffs equal to their individual value during combat.
  • Self-Duplication: In Book IV Chapter 9, when she relinquishes her brother's power of dreams, she creates copies of herself to attack and harass the Order of Heroes, forcing them to retreat.
  • Sorting Algorithm of Evil: She easily matches up with Hel or possibly even outmatches her and every other established Big Bad for being an extremely difficult opponent only because she gains the power to rule the world of dreams and manifest her power in the world of the living using dreams and nightmares to her favor. It's so easy for her to just kill the Order of Heroes right away but chooses not to because she'd rather torture them to convince them she's omnipotent.
  • Status Buff:
    • Her playable regular variant's refined Nightmare Horn grants her +4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat if the foe is at 50% HP or above at the start of combat, and the unique refine grants her an additional +4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat. She also has has Atk/Spd Solo 4, where if she is not adjacent to an ally, she gains +7 Atk/Spd during combat, Binding Necklace, which if she's not adjacent to an ally, she gains +2 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat, as well as steal any field stat buffs the foe has during combat with the same activation conditions, Binding Necklace+, which grants her +3 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat if either the foe initiates combat or there is at most 1 ally adjacent to her, as well as steal any field stat buffs the foe has during combat with the same activation conditions, and Spd Smoke 4, which grants her +6 Spd after combat.
    • As a Mythic Hero of Light, if an ally has a Light Blessing during Light season in Aether Raids, she gives them +5 HP and +3 Atk if they're on the battlefield, which can be stacked with other Mythic Heroes of Light, including copies of herself.
    • Her Summer variant's Brightmare Horn gives her +5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat. She also has Atk/Spd Solo 4, where if she is not adjacent to an ally, she gains +7 Atk/Spd during combat, and the above Binding Necklace.
  • Stripperiffic: Compared to her regular outfit her Summer variant has her in a far more revealing bikini top and short skirt that leaves little to the imagination.
  • Theme Naming: Freyja is the goddess of love, fertility, war and sorcery, twin sister of Freyr, leader of the Valkyries and ruler of Fólkvangr, one of the Warrior Heavens in Norse Mythology. True to her namesake she's also the most well-endowed Fire Emblem character to date, herself has a forbidden love for her own brother, and oversees fairies like Plumeria who prompt sexual feelings to draw people together.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: Several lines indicate Freyja used to be a much kinder and more emotional girl in her youth compared to the cold figure she is now. Eitr, who is a revived Freyja suffering Identity Amnesia courtesy of Ginnungagap, backs this interpretation up.
  • Villain's Dying Grace: With her last ounce of strength, she revives Triandra and Plumeria and releases them from her service at the end of Book IV.
  • Villains Never Lie: Freyja reveals that Alfonse is dead to the Summoner at the end of Book IV Chapter 12, and tries to tempt them to remain in the Dream World to have a chance to revive him and her brother Freyr, with only her word to go on. Subverted since most of Book IV was All Just a Dream for the Summoner and that Alfonse is alive and well in reality, but was an attempted Motivational Lie to have a chance to revive Freyr.
  • Voluntary Shape Shifter: Freyja transforms into a divine Ibex goat to attack, and so is counted as a Beast unit in gameplay.
  • What Is This Thing You Call "Love"?: A variation in that she has the capacity to love, but doesn't really understand feelings that are based on love, but not romantic. When she reveals Triandra's backstory to her, she is genuinely surprised that she remains loyal to her despite everything she now knows, and questions why Triandra would still be loyal to her. As mentioned, the fact she was mocked growing up and then pursued only because her appearance has her not understand forms of love that aren't romantic in nature. It was later that she does understand love from people other than her brother in Book IV Chapter 13 that both Triandra and Plumeria are brought back to life after their deaths in the previous chapters instead of just erasing all the remaining álfr, at the cost of her life.
  • Wound That Will Not Heal: Her Summer variant has Fatal Smoke, where she prevent the foe from recovering HP during and after combat, and inflicts the [Deep Wounds] status to the target and all foes within 2 spaces of that target, where the status effect prevents the user from recovering HP through their next turn.
  • Yandere: As revealed at the end of Book IV Chapter 4, to her own brother Freyr.

"I am a dökkálfr from the realm of dark dreams... the dreams you wish to forget on waking. I am Triandra. I am Nightmare."

A dökkálfr of the Realm of Nightmares and servant of her queen Freyja. She is ordered by her queen to bring nightmares to Ljósálfheimr. In late November 2020, she was released as a Mythic Hero of Dark.

Class: Green Flier (Heroes, regular), Sword Flier (Attuned), Colorless Flier (Spring Eternal), Elf (Cipher)

  • Abusive Parents: Her father was revealed to be this in her mortal life in Book IV Chapter 9, where Freyja told her that he left her and her sister outside to be with her mother to starve and sleep in the cold. When her sister was about to die, Triandra later took matters into her own hands and killed him.
  • Action Initiative: Her regular version the unique refine for her Flower of Sorrow give her a guaranteed follow-up if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat. She also has Firestorm Dance 3, where, in addition to granting +6 Atk/Spd to her ally, also grant the [Desperation] status effect to that ally, where it allows the user to have any follow-up attack they perform go before the foe can counterattack if the user initiates combat.
  • Alternate Self: Implied, but not outright stated. The Triandra that that players can summon is different from the Triandra in the story. It's because the story version of Triandra along with Plumeria were revived by Freyja just before her demise and soon joined forces with "Líf" and "Thrasir" in a bid to revive Freyja.
  • Back from the Dead: Even though she dies in Chapter 12, she is brought back to life by Freyja at the end of Book IV, giving her a second chance at life.
  • Balance Buff: Her regular variant in update 8.2.0 gives a refine for her Flower of Sorrow, where the refined version inflicts -5 Def/Res during combat on foes in cardinal directions of her, and she inflicts -4 Atk/Spd/Res on the foe during combat if the foe either is at 75% HP or above at the start of combat or has another foe within 2 spaces of the foe, and unique refine inflicts -4 Atk/Spd/Res on the foe during combat, grants her a guaranteed follow-up attack and inflicts 10 damage to the foe and foes within 2 spaces of that foe after combat if she attacked, all which activates if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat, Frightful Dream+ increases the debuffs to -5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res and additionally inflicts [Discord]note , and gave her Firestorm Dance 3.
  • Damage-Increasing Debuff:
    • Her regular version's unrefined Flower of Sorrow inflicts -4 Def/Res during combat to any enemies within a cardinal direction of her, the refined version inflicting -5 Def/Res during combat on foes in cardinal directions of her, and she inflicts -4 Atk/Spd/Res on the foe during combat if the foe either is at 75% HP or above at the start of combat or has another foe within 2 spaces of the foe, and unique refine inflicts -4 Atk/Spd/Res on the foe during combat if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat.
    • Her Frightful Dream gives all enemies within cardinal directions of her and the target -3 Atk/Spd/Def/Res as well as the [Guard] status. Her regular version's Frightful Dream+ inflicts -5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res, [Guard] and [Discord]note  to all foes in cardinal directions of her and her ally.
    • Her playable variant has Spd/Res Rein 3, where she inflicts -4 Spd/Res during combat to any foes within 2 spaces of her.
    • Her Spring variant has Nightmare's Egg, where it grants the [Foe Penalty Doubler] to the target ally and all allies within 2 spaces of that ally if she uses skills like Sing or Dance, where [Foe Penalty Doubler] inflicts debuffs on the foe's stats during combat equal to each of the field stat debuffs the foe has active, where for example if the foe has -5 Atk and -7 Spd, it inflicts -5 Atk and -7 Spd on the foe during combat, with a total debuff of -10 Atk and -14 Spd on the foe during combat. She also has Def/Res Hold, where she inflicts -4 Def/Res during combat to any foes within 3 spaces of her.
    • Her Attuned variant's Flower of Tribute inflicts -5 Spd/Def during combat to all foe within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on her. She also has Harrowing Dream, where it inflicts -5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res and [Sabotage] on foes within cardinal directions of her and her target ally, where [Sabotage] inflicts debuffs on the one inflicted with it during combat equal to the highest field stat debuffs between them and all their allies within 2 spaces of them, Flow Refresh 4, which inflicts -4 Spd/Def on the foe during combat if she initiates combat, and Spd/Def Hold, which inflicts -4 Spd/Def during combat to all foes within 3 spaces of her.
  • Damage Reduction: Her Attuned variant has Flow Refresh 4, where it reduces damage taken from the foe's first attack by 40% if she initiates combat.
  • Dark Is Evil: Triandra is a Dark-elemental Mythic Hero, because she is a dökkálfr who brings mortals bad dreams under Freyja's command.
  • Dual Boss: In her and Freyja's Mythic Hero Battle, she is fought alongside Freyja.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Peony. They both fulfill the same role in terms of both gameplay and story. However, Triandra brings nightmares instead of good dreams to people, and her skill set focuses on debuffing her foes rather than buffing her allies. This is further emphasized by their color schemes - Triandra's blue and purple is the inverse of Peony's orange and green. The fact that the two are sisters certainly doesn't help matters, either.
  • Extra Turn:
    • Her exclusive Frightful Dream(+) assist skill functions like Dance or Sing, granting the target another action, as well as inflicting -3 Atk/Spd/Def/Res and inflicting the [Guard] status on foes within cardinal directions of her and her target for Frightful Dream, and inflicting -5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res and the [Guard] and [Discord] status effects on foes within cardinal directions of her and her target with Frightful Dream+.
    • Her Attuned variant's exclusive Harrowing Dream assist skill functions like Dance or Sing, granting the target another action, as well inflicting -5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res and inflicting the [Guard] and [Sabotage] status effects on foes within cardinal directions of her and her target.
  • Floral Theme Naming: Her English name is named after the Triandra, which are subspecies of flowers, while her Japanese name is named after the Scabiosa, commonly named as "Scabious" or "pincushion flowers", which includes the scabiosa triandra flower.
  • Glass Cannon:
    • Her regular variant has good Atk and Spd, and average HP, but low Res, and poor Def. Her playable variant has great Atk and Spd of 37 and 38, respectively, and average HP of 38, but has low Res of 22, and poor Def of 16.
    • Her Spring variant has outstanding Spd at 46 and fantastic Atk at 43, but below average HP 37 and poor defenses at 18 each.
  • Heal Thyself: Her Attuned variant has Flow Refresh 4, where she restores 10 HP after combat if she initiates combat.
  • I Am the Noun: Her intro has her state that she is Nightmare.
  • Ms. Fanservice: As part of the Fairy Sexy appeal she gives out, while her New Year variant wears a modest kimono compared to fellow Ms. Fanservice Plumeria's New Year variant, her regular variant hints this as she exposes her shoulders and thighs and some cleavage and Sideboob, as well her Attuned variant exposes her cleavage and a bit of her thighs and waist, and her Spring variant goes into this full force as she has a bikini-like Playboy Bunny outfit that exposes her shoulders, cleavage, navel and bare legs.
  • Nightmare Weaver: Described as a deliverer of terrible dreams to mortals.
  • Patricide: In Book IV Chapter 9, Freyja reveals that Triandra did this to her father since he mistreated her and her sister and left them to starve and sleep outside, even in the winter, and had she not done so, her sister would have died.
  • Perpetual Frowner: Triandra doesn't ever smile throughout the story, fitting with her personality and her duty of being the bearer of bad dreams. However, in her New Year's variant, she is actually seen smiling with Peony in their special art.
  • Plant Hair: It is subtle, but the vines on her head actually morph from her hair.
  • Playboy Bunny: Her Spring variant wears this as part of her Holiday Mode, where she wear a bunny outfit that exposes her shoulders, cleavage, navel and bare legs.
  • Power Makes Your Hair Grow: Compared to her other variants, Attuned Triandra's vine-hair grows, where the back of it grows beyond her waist compared to just shoulder length.
  • Pre-Mortem One-Liner:
    • She tries to deliver one to Peony in Book IV, but it doesn't stick.
Triandra: You bring pleasant dreams to the mortals...my opposite... Only one thing to do, then. Lights out.
    • Par for the course, her critical quotes count.
"If it's a nightmare you want..." (regular)
      "There is no hope." (regular)
      "You will never awaken." (regular)
      "This is your nightmare." (regular)
      "Spring stirs." (Spring Eternal)
      "Still asleep?" (Spring Eternal)
      "Bunny...attack." (Spring Eternal)
      "...Hop." (Spring Eternal)
      "I will protect her." (Attuned)
      "For lady Freyja." (Attuned)
      "I am your nightmare!" (Attuned)
      "Know despair." (Attuned)
  • Promoted to Playable: She was released as a Mythic Hero in late November 2020, shortly after Book IV was finished.
  • Sibling Team: Since Peony is actually her younger sister, their New Year variant is this.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: Triandra is a pessimistic, deadpan dökkálfr who brings nightmares to mortals, while her sister Peony is an optimistic, cheerful ljósálfr who delivers good dreams to mortals.
  • Situational Damage Attack: Her Attuned variant's Flower of Tribute allows her to deal true damage equal to 20% of her Spd during combat, so the more Spd she has the more true damage she will deal.
  • Status Buff:
    • Her playable variant has Atk/Spd Push 4, where if she is at 25% HP or over at the start of combat, she gains +7 Atk/Spd during combat, but inflicts 5 damage to her after combat if she attacks. She also has Firestorm Dance 3, which grants +6 Atk/Spd and the [Desperation] status effect to her ally when uses a Dance assist skill like Frightful Dream(+).
    • As a Mythic Hero of Dark, if an ally has a Dark Blessing during Dark season in Aether Raids, she gives them +5 HP and +4 Spd if they're on the battlefield, which can be stacked with other Mythic Heroes of Dark, including copies of herself.
    • Her Spring variant has Nightmare's Egg, which grants her +6 Atk/Spd during combat if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat, and grants the [Foe Penalty Doubler]note  to her target all and all allies within 2 spaces of that unit if she uses Sing or Dance. She also has Firestorm Dance 3, which grants +6 Atk/Spd and [Desperation]note  to an ally if she used Sing or Dance to that ally.
    • Her Attuned variant's Flower of Tribute grants her +5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat. She also has Atk/Spd Clash, which grants +6 Atk/Spd during combat if she or her foe moved to a different space before combat, and grant additional +1 Atk/Spd during combat for each space the initiator moved, up to +4 Atk/Spd, and Death Blow Echo, which gives her +4 Atk during combat if she initiates combat.
  • Status Effects:
    • Her Frightful Dream inflicts [Guard] to all foes within cardinal directions of her and her target ally if she refreshes an ally, where [Guard] inflict -1 special buildup per attack, and Frightful Dream+ also inflicts [Discord] under the same conditions, where [Discord] inflicts -2 Atk/Spd/Def/Res on the user during combat, and inflicts an additional -1 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat for each ally within 2 spaces of the user, up to -3 Atk/Spd/Def/Res, totalling up to -5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat.
    • Her Spring variant's Nightmare's Egg inflicts [Panic] to all foes within cardinal directions of her and her target ally if she refreshes an ally.
    • Her Harrowing Dream inflicts [Guard] and [Sabotage] to all foes within cardinal directions of her and her target ally if she refreshes an ally, where [Guard] inflict -1 special buildup per attack, and [Sabotage] inflicts debuffs on the one inflicted with it during combat equal to the highest field stat debuffs between them and all their allies within 2 spaces of them.
  • Thong of Shielding: Concept art shows that beneath her "dress" she wears a barely-there thong that rides so low it leaves her butt mostly uncovered and just barely covers her crotch.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Freyja. Even when she remembers her mortal life in Book IV Chapter 9, she chooses to give her all for Freyja. It was also this reason that she chooses to team up with "Líf" and "Thrasir" to serve the gods have her alongside Plumeria's wishes to revive Freyja.
  • Wake-Up Call Boss: Aside from being a refresher unit with skills functionally similar to Peony's, her first map in Book IV also introduces skills that cause Damage Reduction if your units don't have enough Spd. This is your warning sign to prepare units that can work around this, otherwise you're going to have a bad time with Freyja later.

Lewd Dream / Rapturous Dream / Temptation Anew
"Oh? Looking for me, were you? Hm. Of course you were. I am Plumeria, the dökkálfr of lewd dreams."

A dökkálfr of the Realm of Nightmares and servant of her queen Freyja. Delivers erotic dreams to mortals, but has become jaded as a result of finding such dreams and desires disgusting. In late September 2020, she was released as a Mythic Hero of Astra.

Class: Red Flier (Heroes, regular), Blue Flier (Rearmed), Bow Flier (New Year: ω Special Heroes), Elf (Cipher)

  • Abusive Parents: In Book IV Chapter 8, Freyja reveals that Plumeria's father abandoned her and her mother, but later called her mother worse as she abandoned Plumeria at the bottom of a well and ignored her pleas for help so she could run off with another man. Freyja later adopted her and turned her into an álfr by feeding her dream nectar.
  • Action Initiative:
    • The unique refine for her regular version's Flower of Plenty allows her to perform a guaranteed follow-up attack if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat. She also has Sweet Dream+, which, in addition to functioning as Sing/Dance/Play, grant her target ally the [Follow-Up] status effect, where it allows the user to make a guaranteed follow-up attack if the user initiates combat.
    • Her New Year variant has Quick Riposte 3, where she gains a guaranteed follow-up attack if the foe initiates combat and the user is at 70% HP or more at the start of combat.
    • Her Rearmed variant's Arcane Euphoria grants her a guaranteed follow-up attack if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat.
  • Alternate Self: Implied, just like with Triandra. Her playable version that that players can summon is different from the Plumeria in the story. It's because the story version of Plumeria was revived by Freyja just before her demise and soon joined forces with "Líf" and "Thrasir" in a bid to revive Freyja.
  • Back from the Dead: Even though she dies in Chapter 11, she is brought back to life by Freyja at the end of Book IV, giving her a second chance at life.
  • Balance Buff: Her regular version in update 7.11.0 gives her a refine for her Flower of Plenty, where the refined version increases the buff to her allies to +4 Atk/Res during combat, grant her +5 Atk/Res during combat if there is an ally within the same buff range, and the unique refine grants her +5 Atk/Res during combat, give her a guaranteed follow-up attack, and inflicts [Gravity] to the foe and all foes adjacent to that foe after combat, all which activates if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat, Sweet Dreams+, which increases the buffs to the target ally to +5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res, as well as grant them the [Follow-Up]note  and [Hexblade]note  status effects, and increases the debuffs to -5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res and debuff range to 5 spaces of her target ally, and gives her Atk/Res Hold.
  • Brown Note: Plumeria has the ability to deliver erotic dreams to people, including during battle. During battle, she prefers to use her powers to induce lust in her foes, causing them to be distracted and dealing with each other allowing her to steamroll her enemies simply because they cannot focus on her.
  • Counter-Attack: Her New Year variant has access to Close Ward, where if the foe initiates combat and are equipped with a Tome, Staff, or Breath weapon, the user gains +5 Atk/Res during combat, negate skills that target the user's lower defensive stats, and can counterattack foes regardless of their range.
  • Damage-Increasing Debuff:
    • Her Sweet Dreams, in addition to giving +3 Atk/Spd/Def/Res to the target she dances to, inflicts -4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res on the closest foe within 4 spaces of her target ally. Her regular version also learns Sweet Dreams+, which inflicts -5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res to the closest foe within 5 spaces of her target ally.
    • Her regular variant has Sabotage Spd 3, where at the start of the her turn if the foe is adjacent to another foe and they have 3 Res or more lower than her, she inflicts -7 Spd on that foe. She also has Atk/Res Rein 3, where she inflicts -4 Atk/Res to the foe during combat if they are within 2 spaces of the her, and Atk/Res Hold, which inflicts -4 Atk/Res to the foe during combat if she is within 3 spaces of her.
    • Her New Year variant has Atk/Def Rein 3, where she inflicts -4 Atk/Def to the foe during combat if they are within 2 spaces of the her.
    • Her Rearmed variant has Cloying Dreams, which inflicts -5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res on the nearest foes within 5 spaces of her target ally. She also has Wings of Mercy 4, which inflicts -3 Def/Res on the foe during combat, and Def/Res Ploy 3, which inflicts -7 Def/Res and the [Exposure] and [Ploy]note  status effects on all foes within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on her at the start of her and her foe's turns and she has 5 or more Res than those foes.
  • Damage Reduction: Her Rearmed version's Arcane Euphoria allows her to reduce damage taken from the foe's first attack by 30% if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat.
  • Disney Death: While she meets her end by the Order of Heroes at the end of Book IV Chapter 11, she was later revived by Freyja at the end of Book IV's story.
  • Erotic Dream: She delivers these kinds of dreams to mortals. However, she has become disgusted and jaded after delivering these dreams and wishes that those mortal desires would just stop existing.
  • Extra Turn: Her exclusive Sweet Dreams assist skill functions like Dance or Sing, granting the target another action, as well as giving +3 Atk/Spd/Def/Res to the target she dances to and inflicts -4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res on the closest enemy within 4 spaces of her target ally.
  • Final Boss: Of the "Nihility & Dream 3" Tempest Trials+.
  • Floral Theme Naming: She is named after the Plumeria flowers, also named as "framgipani".
  • Freudian Excuse: Upon reaching her confession at Lv. 40, Plumeria infers the root of her hate for lust among mortals was due to the same kind of "obscene love" her mother had towards men, which ties into her not receiving any love and having her own love being rejected when she was still human.
  • Glass Cannon: New Year Plumeria has fantastic Atk and Res of 42 and 39, respectively, and average HP of 41, but poor Spd and Def of 17 and 18, respectively.
  • Holiday Mode: Her New Year's variant wears a kimono and wields a bow.
  • I Just Want to Be Loved: In the end, all she ever wanted is to receieve love from anyone. And ironically, she got assigned the job of giving people lovely lewd dreams without receiving any for herself.
  • Insult Backfire: She calls Peony "petal-soft", who thinks it's absolutely cute. A weary Plumeria just moves on to the next conversation.
  • I Want My Mommy!: Or daddy, in this case. As she dies, she desperately screams for her father to come save her.
  • Kimono Fanservice: Her New Year's alt wears a kimono loosely fitted to expose lots of leg and cleavage.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Plumeria had her memories of her mortal life erased by Freyja to let her forget the pain she experienced as a mortal. However, Plumeria sometimes still recalls some of the most painful ones.
  • Love Is in the Air: Plumeria has control over certain nectar in Dökkálfheimr to forcefully have other females be attracted to the opposite sex, as Alfonse suddenly has the attention of Peony, Mirabilis, and Sharena in the beginning of Book IV Chapter 8. Only Anna remains mostly unaffected by the nectar by trying her best to stay away from Alfonse and put her attention to fighting and her Money Fetish.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Very curvy, wears what's basically a skin-tight leotard, and her powers basically revolve around eroticism. Her seasonal variants are no different, with her New Year variant having her kimono dressed to show off her cleavage and bare legs, and her Summer variant having a revealing one-piece swimsuit showing off her cleavage, navel, waist and bare legs.
  • Parental Abandonment: At the end of Book IV Chapter 8, Freyja tells her that when Plumeria was young, her father abandoned her and her mother, but her mother later abandoned Plumeria at the bottom of a well for keeping her away from another man. Freyja then adopted her and turned her into an álfr by feeding her dream nectar.
  • Parental Neglect: Plumeria's parents were a truly dark version of this trope. In her Level 40 confession, we learn why Plumeria detests her job as the Fairy of Lewd Dreams and hates her human parents so much, stopping just short of describing her mother with a word unfit for a Nintendo title. The word in question is "Slut". Her mother was such a sex addict that she barely paid attention to her child, and left her child to die in a well under the possible pretense that she wanted to keep being a sex addict without having to juggle responsibilities. Her father wasn't as bad, but when he left, he either didn't or couldn't take Plumeria with him, leaving her at her mother's mercy.
  • Pre-Mortem One-Liner:
    "How crass." (regular)
    "Utterly shameless." (regular)
    "Melt away." (regular)
    "Such indecency..." (regular)
"Your first dream..." (New Year: ω Special Heroes)
"Happy New Year." (New Year: ω Special Heroes)
"Vulgar!" (New Year: ω Special Heroes)
"Nothing salvageable." (New Year: ω Special Heroes)
    "What filth." (Rearmed)
    "Avert your eyes." (Rearmed)
    "Beg." (Rearmed)
    "In Lady Freyja's name." (Rearmed)
  • Promoted to Playable: She was released as a Mythic Hero in late September 2020, which was before Book IV had finished, but after she is Killed Off for Real in Book IV Chapter 11.
  • Redemption Promotion: Her playable version has higher default HP, Atk, and Res than her story version.
  • Reluctant Fanservice Girl: Played with. She's extremely physically attractive and dresses somewhat provocatively, but the actual fanservice is the effect of her powers. She's charged with the role making humans dream about sex, which has made her despise humans and how they think. Some of her lines like "I'll get you going" feature her speaking seductively, but it may be connected to her using her power, in spite of the fact she'd rather not. One of her Japanese damage quotes does have her play this a bit more straight, though, as she asks fearfully what will be done to her, implying she's still aware of her beauty and assumes humans might make her the target of their lust because of what she has seen of their nature.
  • Secret Art:
    • Her regular and New Year variants have Sweet Dreams exclusive to her, which functions like Sing/Dance/Play, gives +3 Atk/Spd/Def/Res to the target ally she dances to and inflicts -4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res on the closest enemy within 4 spaces of her target ally. Her regular version also learns Sweet Dreams+, which functions like Sing/Dance/Play, gives +5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res and the [Follow-Up]note  and [Hexblade]note  status effects to the target ally, and inflicts -5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res to the nearest foe within 5 spaces of her target ally.
    • Rearmed Plumeria has Cloying Dreams exclusive to, which functions the same as Dance/Sing/Play, grants the target ally +5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res and the [Charge]note  and Foe Penalty Doublernote  and inflicts -5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res to the closest foe within 5 spaces of the target for one turn.
  • Sideboob: Courtesy of her provocative leotard with her regular variant.
  • Situational Damage Attack: Her Rearmed variant's Arcane Euphoria allows her to deal true damage equal to 15% of her Atk, so the more Atk she has the more true damage she will deal.
  • Spell Blade: Her regular version has Sweet Dreams+, where, in addition to functioning like Sing/Dance/Play, also grants her target ally [Hexblade], where it allows the user to target the lower of the foe's Def or Res.
  • Squishy Wizard:
    • Her regular version has great Atk, good Res, and average HP, but poor Spd and Def. Her playable version has fantastic Atk of 40, great Res of 37, above average HP of 41, but poor Spd of 18 and Def of 16.
    • Her Rearmed variant has outstanding Atk at 46 and Res at 45, and average HP at 40, but poor Def at 19 and Spd at 18. This is further reinforced with her Still Water 4, which gives her +7 Atk/Res but inflicts -5 Def.
  • Status Buff:
    • Her regular variant has Flower of Plenty, which unrefined gives all allies within 5 rows and 3 columns centered on her +3 Atk/Res during combat, the refined version granting +4 Atk/Res to all allies within 5 rows and 3 columns centered on her and granting her +5 Atk/Res during combat if there is an all within the same range, and the unique refine grants her +5 Atk/Res during combat if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat.
    • Her Sweet Dreams gives anyone she dances to +3 Atk/Spd/Def/Res. Her regular version also has Sweet Dreams+, which gives +5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res and the [Follow-Up]note  and [Hexblade]note  status effects to the target ally.
    • As a Mythic Hero of Astra, if an ally has an Astra Blessing during Astra season in Aether Raids, she gives them +5 HP and +4 Spd if they're on the battlefield, which can be stacked with other Mythic Heroes of Astra, including copies of herself.
    • Her New Year variant's First-Dream Bow allows her to give all allies within 3 spaces of her +4 Atk during combat. She also has Close Ward, where it allows the user to gain +5 Atk/Res during combat, negate any skills that target the user's lower defensive stat, and can counterattack regardless of range if the foe initiates combat and they are equipped with a Tome, Staff, or Breath weapon.
    • Her Rearmed variant has Arcane Euphoria, which grants her +5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat if she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat. She also has Cloying Dreams, which grants the target ally +5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res and the [Charge] and [Foe Penalty Doubler] status effects.
  • Status Inflicting Attack: The unique refine for her regular version's Flower of Plenty allows her to inflict [Gravity] on the foe and foes adjacent to that foe if she attacked and is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat, where [Gravity] restricts the movement of the one affected by it to 1 space.
  • Thong of Shielding: The backside of her leotard has this effect. Concept art shows it rides up so much that it emphasizes her huge butt from behind.
  • Was Once a Man: At the end of Book IV Chapter 8 Plumeria asks Freyja if she was mortal once after having memories of calling out to her mother. Freyja confirms that she was and let her drink the dream nectar and turned her into an álfr.
  • "Well Done, Daughter!" Gal: Despite knowing that her mother didn't like her at all, young Plumeria drank the dream nectar in hopes that saving the world of dreams would make her a hero that her mother would love instead of hate.
