Find a Trope:
openSlow motion realizations Anime
It's very specific but I have seen in mostly in anime/ animation. Usually A was keept apart from B while still having full visual of them.
Character A sees character B get inflicted life threatening or deeply psychologically scarring trauma.
Realizing what happened or is happening, will cause a very specific reaction in A.
Their hair will slightly poof in a slow up and down motion, while their shoulders will slowly drop, their eyes widening with their iris often shrinking. And then quickly their expression shift from horror to pure rage and A goes full on berserk mode with the only goal of stopping/ attacking what ever has inflicted the trauma to B.
The core of the trope is the slow motion reaction with the with the hair.

I'm trying to find a trope where two characters just got together in a relationship and now are having a hard time with keeping each others hands off each other while ignoring everyone else around them. Not always in a sexual way but just noticeable to show their in a relationship.
openWhen an adaptation starts earlier Literature
Do we have a trope more specific than Adaptation Expansion for when an adaptation starts off in a time that was referenced in flashbacks in the original? Not adding significant new events to the canon, but fleshing out what happened. Agatha H. and the Airship City lists this under Early-Bird Cameo, but that doesn't seem right.
openTwo tropes
a) A shop is a front for something illegal, let's say it's supposed to be a restaurant but the owner sells guns under the table.
b) Do we have a trope for money laundering?
openNo Title
Is there a trope where one character breaks some (usually bad) news to another? The viewers already know what the news is, but can't hear what is being said because the characters are seen through a window or something similar. As an example, the scene in 'The West Wing' where Leo Mc Garry informs President Bartlett that Mrs Landingham has been killed in a car accident.
open"repeating what they said" gag
Alice: Charlie, shut up!
Bob: Alice, please, let me handle this. Charlie, shut up.
openromantic glass fogging
A character with glasses (usually Nerd Glasses) has their glasses fog up when they are aroused or in love, especially when they kiss someone.
Sister trope to Foot Popping and nosebleed.
Edited by naturalironistopen"Morton's Fork" Killer
Like the concept, the villain determines the victim's fate by either killing them or maiming them. He does this to stir fear into other potential victims, who are wondering whether which fate is worse.
Edited by JC96openGuilt-Trip
Is there a trope where a character consciously - verbally, so not a Shapeshifter Guilt Trip - guilt-trips someone else? Does it come under What the Hell, Hero?, or is it a bit different?

Is there a version of Stupid Jetpack Hitler for soviets or would it just fall under that trope.
openThe one-scene document that becomes important
Let's say, in a previous episode of a work, Andrew flashed out a document. The viewer can certainly see the document's contents if they pause at the right time, but it's still just a flash.
Then in a later episode, the content of that piece of paper becomes important, and would be particularly fridge-y to the viewers that actually made the pause and read the document.
What trope is this?
openYMMV Toxic Relationship
When some fans of a work view a relationship as toxic/exploitative/abusive, while other fans ultimately view it as acceptable. The line is blurred in canon; one particular perspective is not really canonically supported. Said relationship can be platonic or romantic. Probably a YMMV trope, if it exists.
Edited by CyokieRevottopenLiteral Ascension Ending
A work ends with a character ascending a staircase, ladder, etc, as a visual metaphor for redemption or escape. Similar to Climbing Climax, but part of the denouement rather than the climax.
Sister trope to Off-into-the-Distance Ending, Door-Closes Ending.
Examples: Ex Machina, Cats, Little Nightmares, the music video to "Ready For It"
Edited by TheGreatConversationopenGhost of the Imagination
What is the trope for spirit created not by a death or emotion, but by collective belief in a story. Examples include Merdock from the Supernatural episode Hell House, and Steel Lady Nanase from In/Spectre. There’s at least one more instance I can remember, but I can’t put my finger on it.
openHistorical crush
Is there a trope for when someone feels attracted to a historical person? I can't think of a fictional example, but it's happened to me multiple times.
openAdaptation characters trope? Live Action TV
Is there such a trope for this:
- The Alice and Bob Show:
- In the original continuity, Charlotte was a minor character, but a Nice Girl Lethal Joke Character too, whose only importance to the plot was Ms. Fanservice (she was never seen in anything but a bikini) but she was otherwise unimportant.
- In the Continuity Reboot, Charlotte is more important, and her wearing a bikini as her only main character trait is removed for reasons relating to Society Marches On, with her going from Flat Character to an important member of the team (although the bikini element is retained only for Grandfather Clause reasons). Also, she's still a Lethal Joke Character, but not a one-note one now, in fact, being a Lethal Joke Character is integral to the plot.
I've tried to format this within Example Indentation in Trope Lists, hope this is correct.

Is there a trope for this rather juvenile, yet very common arguing tactic.
