open Breaking the Fourth Wall in Digimon Anime
While the English dubs already did it in the form of characters narrating recaps of previous episodes, according to thread, there are other examples not listed in any Digimon page on this site. Do you think you can help find more examples of Breaking the Fourth Wall in the franchise?
open Need help to find my favorite childhood series (unsolved) Anime
So, I've come to think of this animated series from when I was little (I'm 16 now) so by little I mean around 6-9.
But I just CAN'T get to the name of the series, so I would love if you guys could help.
First off, it's kinda like pokémon and Bakugan, but not that animation type, just more like by the concept. And it's like these small things/animals/monsters are their spirit animal, and when they'll have to fight they got this gun to fire out this "monster" or smthing at their opponent and they either splode when they hit the target, or maybe fire smthing while they'r in air flying towards the target. And in the air they grow from a small monster to abigger version of themselves.
There is also made a game on phone for this series.
I think it's from around 2007-2013
If you can get to think of or know what this is please help me for christ sake xD
Thanks - Stistrup
Edited by StistrupopenCut content for "incest and pedophilia" Anime
Hello!
I'm very, very new here so I'd like to apologize in advance for any broken or missing formatting, or if this question/issue is easily answerable or stupid.
With that out of the way - a user by the name of teamfivey on Sep 1st, 2018 cut a large amount of content and examples from the Ho Yay page for FullmetalAlchemist, with their reasoning being as follows:
"Not examples. Can we not with the incest and pedophilia thanks"
I only noticed this change after I came back to the page to reference a line that is now removed.
None of the cut content was overtly sexual or pornographic, and contained popular fandom ships that they seemed to consider being a personal Squick or No Yay. Even regular, tame pairings got caught in the crossfire. Is there a specific rule against Ho Yay examples containing potentially underage characters, or a rule against incest? Since the page Incest Yay Shipping exists, I'm honestly confused.
Thoughts? I don't know if I have the power or if I even should revert an edit such as this, but it's been made clear that their only intention was to remove the work that others have put into that page without giving or putting any effort in themselves.
Edited by Pantone292openComplainy entry of ArcFatigue Anime
Eternity Of Spirits added several entries to the YMMV page of Boruto, several of these were misuses which I removed explaining why in the comments. But this one in particular stroke me as overtly complainy:
- The manga in general is infamous for its very slow pacing, generally stretching out rather simple storylines out into multi-chapter arcs that last several months, often reiterating the same bits of information multiple times with little variance. Perhaps the most infamous example is Naruto's fight with Delta, where a single fight was stretched out for three months of real time despite relatively little actually happening in the fight itself, capped off by Delta self-destructing as a means of escape after being defeated, rendering basically the entire fight largely pointless. Many have said that the manga is still written under the idea of it being a weekly, even though the monthly release schedule means that the format and reader expectations are vastly different.
I originally reworded the entry to address that most of these issues are due to a monthly release, since if you read the manga back to back without waiting for the next chapter the pacing becomes better and many fans have said that the manga would be better if it had a weekly release. But they reverted it claiming that "I fail to see how being monthly excuses the poor pacing."
Any thoughts on this or is this just me?
openAnime title question Anime
I was going to make a page for the anime film Okko's Inn. While looking it up, I discovered it was based on a series of novels titled "Waka Okami wa Shōgakusei," and an anime series of the same name was created for the Spring 2018 Anime season. What title should it go under and how should it be described?

Edited by lalalei2001openCancelling a Wikiword request Anime
I was looking at Creator.Funimation and found it odd that it was spelled properly, as I had always known it as FUNimation. I popped a wikiword request in but then looked down, actually read the page and saw it said previously known as FUNimation Productions and FUNimation Entertainment. Since I don't see any way to cancel the request myself, I wanted to post this so a mod would know it was a mistake on my part.
Edited by sgamer82openYMMV.KannazukiNoMiko page... kind of overly negative? Anime
This page. I get that it's a controversial show, but why is it that it looks like being written not by a neutral party but more like the detractors hamfisting what they don't like about the show? I've already made several edits about it, but I feel like I should rewrite in a more neutral manner.
Should I? Is the page negative enough?
The main page itself looked rather old, with a lot of ZCE's (I plan on fixing that too), so I was thinking that this was why a lot of its 'negativity' (if confirmed) went unfixed. What do you think?
openFanfic and Comic with the same name Anime
Someone very kindly created a TV Tropes page for my crossover fic. Unfortunately there is a comic book by the same name, so they are linked together.
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Fanfic/Justice
Having it on the same page as the comic is not really an issue, but attempts to make links to the page on the Fanfic Recs pages on One Piece, The DCU, the DC Animated Universe, and Fanfics of the 2010s are not working. Does anyone please have any suggestions?

openNeed Help Fixing Quote Indentation Anime
On Ship Sinking, I've run into an entry that looks incorrectly formatted, yet I'm having a heck of a time fixing. Can anyone help me out?
- Puella Magi Madoka Magica
- Fans always treated Madoka/Homura as the capital ship above and beyond all others, and were delighted by the mountains of Ship Tease Rebellion provided. Until the ending, when Homura's Protagonist Journey to Villain is completed and she imprisons Madoka, making any likelihood of them getting together extremely slim for the time being (not that it will stop all fans from continuing to ship it). Furthermore, Gen Urobuchi has stated in an interview that Homura's feelings for Madoka are platonic rather than romantic (in the usual sense). This is somewhat played with, as when he was asked if Homura was in love with Madoka, he answered "Probably". Still we are talking about Urobuchi here... So make of that what you will.
- To be specific, he said:

- Sayaka/Kyosuke is sunk the moment Sayaka makes her contract, though it takes a few episodes to reveal why. By the end of the anime, Sayaka/Kyoko has sunk as well when Sayaka chooses to stay dead in the new timeline.
Edit: the problem I'm having is the bottom text having the same indentation as the quote. The other stuff surrounding it is just context.

openStarting a page for Isekai Izakaya Nobu, Ascendence of a Bookworm, and Ryou's Work is Never Done Anime
Hi. I'm a long-time editor (with many a pitfalls in my career) but I've never started a new page before. These three works are my current jam (in fact found them via references here) but there are no pages to them. Like absolutely no mention. I was wondering if there's a reason or if it's simply that no one has gotten to it.
If it's the latter, I'd like to start these pages if I'm allowed. It seemed odd to me because there seem to be a decent fandom for these series, they already have multiple adaptations (Light Novel, Manga and a concluded Anime), and even wiki pages (although those are kinda crappy). It's because of these that makes me wonder if there's a reason no one has started these. Thank you.
openRecap/Baccano Anime
The Baccano! recap pages are... I don't even know how to describe it. The descriptions are either pitifully short or unbearably long, and there are zero tropes after them - you'd be lucky to find one or two Wiki Worded or potholed in the Wall of Text descriptions. Most of them haven't been edited in 7-8 years.
openHow to best format this title? Anime
I recently came across the page for Manga.SP Yx FAMILY. The problem, as evident in the link, is that the page was created as SPYxFAMILY, with "spy" and "family" in all caps.
I'm prepared to get it set up to be fixed, but I'm not sure just how best to do it.
Should I recreate it SpyxFamily? SpyXFamily? Something else?
Also, before I do anything, is there anything that can be done to avoid the wiki-word bug, where Custom Displayed titles will only work for the page as it was originally made, meaning the one there now (SPY x FAMILY) will cease to work after I recreate the page unless done as SPYxFAMILY? For example, would we dodge the issue if the custom title is removed prior to Cutlisting the page?
Edit: I also popped this last question into the relevant Bug Report I remembered from a previous, similar query.
Edited by sgamer82openPotential edit war Anime
Troper AbsoluteSword reverted one of the changes I made to Laid-Back Camp. While this could be sorted in discussions or private message, I noticed that said troper has a history of edit warring and grammatical issues, hence my wondering if any additional action might be required.

Edited by RetlocliveopenCreating a page? Anime
There is this Naruto fanfic that really deserves a page on here. The series, posted on AO 3, is called “The Sea Never Dies” by Fires From Our Hearts. There are several “books” in the series; the first two are completed, an interim book is a bunch of short stories and oneshots canon to the fanfic, the third book is currently being updated, and the fourth will come when the third book is completed. The fanfic is really incredible, and I’d love to see a page for it on here. Is there a different way I can recommend someone create one, or should I just do it myself? How would I even get started?

There was this cartoon on Netflix I once watched. Don’t remember much but the main characters were two babies(one was white one was black I believe). It was an adult show with lots crude humor.
