openMcGuffin in Hateful eight Film
this site http://movies.stackexchange.com/questions/49231/who-or-what-could-be-considered-a-macguffin-in-the-hateful-eight?answertab=oldest considers Daisy Domergue to be a McGuffin - but she does not fully fit the criteria as outlined in this wiki - she is not a persona as a revealed McGuffin, she could be a hostage McGuffin - but overall her position and her pivotal energy to the plot is central and not taken for granted or something that is revealed on the side - the Washington Times believes that Jennifer Jason Leigh lifts Daisy from ever being a McGuffin http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/dec/23/hateful-eight-review-film-showcases-quentin-tarant/?page=all
open How do I remove old redirection references?
I finally got arsed to separate the trope page of Styx Master Of Shadows from Of Orcs And Men due to how they come from two completely different game genres, and the former is about to get a sequel soon, despite the former also being a spinoff of the later. However after I have cleared the redirect lines from Styx: Master of Shadows and moved in the dedicated portion of content from Of Orcs and Men, I had new problems. Although now all the wicks in the wiki that refers to Styx: Master Of Shadows now do lead to the newborn page Styx: Master of Shadows, the old redirection references in the "related" page of Of Orcs and Men still stands, it read like this:
This article is the target of 1 redirect(s).
Videogame/Styx Master Of Shadows On 24 page(s).
(the page still leads to the newborn page)
and the alternate title(s) at the bottom of the page still read Styx Master Of Shadows. But those are not the main trouble, the main trouble is, when I type Styx Master Of Shadows or Styx:Master Of Shadows into the T Vtropes search bar, it only displays Of Orcs and Men but not Styx: Master of Shadows ! I dig through the administratrivia but could not find a cure or the faintest instruction to help me handle this situation, please help.
open New troper and work page with major problems Webcomic
New troper Skeleking is having issues with basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation as well as Zero Context Examples. Unfortunately, (s)he dove right in and created a work page, wicca, which is chock-full of all of those problems.
Edited by NotOnAnyFlatbreadopenNatter Poster Web Original
Everythingis Awful keeps re-adding huge amounts of Natter to YMMV.RWBY and is Edit Warring over it.
Edited by KarxridaopenHelp, edit war
There's an edit war in Characters. One Piece Others regarding the names of certain characters.
(I'm not taking any side, by the way)
openFolderizing
Is the folderize tool still available after the recent revamp of the site? I can no longer find it in the tools drop box.
openEdit War in VideoGame.PokemonSunAndMoon Videogame
As mentioned in the title (add-remove-add by Gamer From Jump 2).
EDIT: OK, definite back and forth between Gamer From Jump 2 and PDL.
Edited by desdendelleopenSandbox?
I wanted to do some wikiwork on the Gloryhammer article (or create one of that wasn't already done, XD), well but when I searched under Gloryhammer it said that only Gloryhammer existed, now I wanted to ask if that's correct and what the Sandbox namespace is for (I assume tests and stuff, but I'm not sure) and if its alright to move the article into the Music namespace since its about a band and stuff
openMagnumOpus put back..
Three Magnum Opus examples were put again by Hurp Durp Man Guy in The Annotated Series with ""In Universe" my ass." as edit reason.
openTrope Folders in an entry
At which point the number of tropes in an entry is considered large enough to separate them in separated folders (like [A-M] and [N-Z])? Is there an exact number of tropes, words or characters, or is it simply let to the appreciation of the Entry Pimp managing the page?
openFuneral weather
I can't but feel that having both It's Always Sunny at Funerals and It Always Rains at Funerals is really just People Sit On Chairs split into two "tropes."
Edited by ChaoticQueenopenAdvertising YKTTW rename
Some people have discussed putting a banner in YKTTW so those who would most likely be interested find out about it. I also noticed that the bulletin board item has disappeared. It would have needed to be renamed anyway, possibly Rename "You know, that thing where..." (voting started) or something so that those seeing it would notice a change. Are either of these good ideas?
Edited by SeptimusHeapopenPuzzling alternative title
Down on To Have And Have Not, it says the alternative title is "To Have And Have Not" which is exactly the title of the page. Why is this entry there to begin with?
openMy Own Page Western Animation
I'm a new member on this site, and I want to know how do I get my own page on TV Tropes.
openCaptain Obvious as an insult
Is there a separate name for when someone makes a "captain obvious" comment intending it as an insult to the recipient — kind of like damning with faint praise — like the speaker is acting as though they think the listener is so dense they can handle only a really obvious comment — but both actually know the listener is brighter than that, so the intent is actually to insult.

I shouldn't be surprised that edit warring and such is going on XD
