Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Ask the Tropers:
open Trope Blocking?
So I've been frequenting the Pokemon Masters page a lot and have often found it blank (That is, I know people have written something and, by the time I revisited, everything was removed). Today I checked the history and found that one troper has been commenting out or deleting every trope that has been added to the page from June 20th onward. They've stated that part of their justification is that the troping was speculative, but I'm wondering whether or not they have crossed the line with that. Some of what I've read, at least from my perspective, was not speculative (By which I mean that the general trope was confirmed and parts of the explanation were speculative). What do you suggest I do?
openRestore wrongly cut page
I don't know if it's here where I must ask this. This page, https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Recap/SandersSidesS1E8AloneOnValentinesDay, has been cut by mistake. I had recently created it to replace https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Recap/SandersSidesS1E9AloneOnValentinesDay, which had the episode number wrong. The one with the number 9 had been provisionally turned into a redirect, and I think the intention of whoever sent it to the cut list was to delete the redirect. However, both the redirection and the final page with all the content have been deleted. Is there any way the cut can be reversed and its content restored? I'd hate being forced to write it all again from scratch.

SasquatchX added this to Characters.Super Smash Bros Ultimate 70 To 75 in the Hero's folder:
- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: Invoked Trope, as the inclusion of Eight among the playables is this. Sakurai makes mention in his interview regarding the acquisition of the Heroes of Eight's status being the one that western audiences are most likely going to recognize.
This isn't proper use of Invoked Trope isn't it? Using it for YMMV items is for when said item occurs within the narrative itself, not when it is used as a reason from Word of God for including something within a work.

wonder1440 changed an entry from LGBT Fanbase from this:
- Star vs. the Forces of Evil has gained one of these due to a popular fan-theory on Tumblr that Marco is a closeted trans girl. There are also fans who ship Marco and Tom, along with fans who think Star is Ambiguously Bi.
To this:
- Star vs. the Forces of Evil has gained one of these due to fans who ship Marco and Tom, along with fans who think Star is Ambiguously Bi.
The theory may not be canon, but I do know a substantial amount of fans headcanoned it and got into the series because of it. Shouldn't the example be reverted?
openConcerning a few pages for Creators
In the past, I've learned that YMMV pages for creators can be allowed and trivia pages for creators aren't allowed.
That said, I have a question: are Awesome, Funny, Heartwarming and Nightmare Fuel subpages allowed for creators in general, and if not, should they be taken to the Cut List?

Somewhere exists a big space, like huge dome. The surfaces crackle with static, it is interior but has a sense of being exterior, the roof may be the night sky. In this big cavernous space there may be a platform going half-way along, (Think Prof Xavier's Cerebro). This big space is some sort of mainframe that contains all knowledge, all wisdom, all the force etc. It is the mind of the Universe. Sometimes the seer may put on a headset to engage with it. If you or I put on this headset our brains would probably fry because we do not have mind power to deal with it.
I thought I'd seen this trope, this image, this device a million times in a million films but now I come to look for it I can't find many examples. Have I imagined it? Can you offer any examples? Thanks.

NightmareFuel.Disney Animated Canon has a red link to Fantasia 2000, but there actually is a page for it. What's causing this?

JBK 405 removed the Magnificent Bastard entry from this page without getting agreement from the cleanup thread to do so. Intending to re-add and report if an edit war by way of further deletion with discussion is done.
openSeven Knights Page
So I have been updating the seven knights page by adding more tropes, categories and images. Can someone check it out and let me know if I should edit or fix anything, maybe if "Trivia" or "Funny" needs anything corrected? (I have already asked about Nightmare Fuel)
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VideoGame/SevenKnights
Appreciate it!
Thanks to @Mr5hogun for helping btw!
Edited by Blueforest73openIssues with grammar
It appears that there is a troper named Darklight 23 who keeps adding entries to the pages associated with the Netflix Sabrina the Teenage Witch series that have grammatical and capitalization errors in addition to not being punctuated at the end. Here is their edit history.
Edited by Thetropemaster101openIs this an example of "Painting the Medium"?
Found this entry on "Painting the Medium:
"Brendan Namron: Ace Attorney, Ace Combat: The Equestrian War, Chaotic Harmony and Sonic Generations: Friendship is Timeless include links to actual music the reader can listen to while reading the story."
Is this really an example of this trope? I feel this should be removed, and re-added to a trope that it actually fits.

I moved an entry from Trivia.Gen Lock to its Discussion Page to query it a couple of weeks ago. Someone has responded to my post in such an angry manner that I'm not sure how to respond without making things worse.
Please would it be possible for a neutral third party to take a look at the entry I'm querying and seeing if it's a valid example?
The post is here.

Hello, it appears that a troper named Tork has added a few entries to the Complete Monster section of the Justice League YMMV page without discussing with us on the cleanup threat for the trope. Here is the link: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/YMMV/JusticeLeague

Tightwire is removing all the examples of the work FanFic.Prison Island Break in trope pages.
openPotholed Flame Bait on Flame Bait pages.
Ferot_Dreadnaught recently deleted an Internet Backdraft pothole on Horrible.Live Action Films for being Flame Bait as of late, which is weird, considering that So Bad, It's Horrible is also Flame Bait. What is our rule on this?
Edited by OldLadyNightManopenNeed Help with a Page
So... I need help with this workpage for this page: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Music/EveryApeAndHisBrother
So... quick story. Back before I lost access to an old account of mine, I found this page which was created by this guy who created entries and workpages for fake media. I thought that this was one of them, so I requested it be cutlisted, and it was deleted.
However, I later discovered that Every Ape and his Brother did exist in some capacity on Myspace (https://myspace.com/everyapeandhisbrother/music/songs) so I restored the page. Unfortunately, it seemed I did not do a good job because currently, the entire thing is a mess.
I have a question to ask, then: what should I do? I'm not sure if the whole thing can be reverted back anymore.
P.S. : Though it does exist on Myspace, most of the songs seem to be just written lyrics on Am I Right?.com. Would music on Am I Right?.com be considered tropable under Music?
Thorfinn Rowle has issues with indentation, even after I sent a notifier.
Here's the latest violation: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Characters.KNDMainVillains#edit23379252
I also sent a notifier a long time ago that they didn't link a one-word work name properly, but they seem to have fixed that problem.
