It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

openCan you fix this?
I was editing https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Wrestling/KevinSullivan and I got the idea to add a subheading titled "Works Associated with Kevin Sullivan that have pages on TV Tropes" (his stables https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Wrestling/DungeonOfDoom and https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Wrestling/TheVarsityClub) and to make it an index, meaning that those pages had Wrestling/KevinSullivan listed as an index. Then I changed my mind and removed it and then recreated it but not as an index. However, those two pages still have Wrestling/KevinSullivan listed as an index. Can that be removed? Thank you and I'm sorry.
openParamount Mafia
ooh removed all references to the Paramount Mafia on Jeffrey Katzenberg’s entry in Role-Ending Misdemeanor while asking what makes him a Mafioso. I’m assuming he’s not heard of the term “Paramount Mafia” being used outside of here to refer to the trio of Katzenberg, Frank Wells, and Michael Eisner?
openRedirecting character page to franchise character index
Since most of the characters in Jumanji: The Next Level will be the same as in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle I want to add character page to Jumanji: The Next Level that redirects to already existing one for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
How do I go about that?
openConcerning Troper
Narbon primarily seems to be deleting large swathes of examples and chunks of trope descriptions. Much like junkyarddawg before him, he also seems to have a problem with any form of "playing with a trope" language on a page.
Edited by MegaMarioManopen Who Would Want To See That?
- A novelist is asked by an film company to adapt his work into an film series but the novelist, fully aware that his line of work ranges between good and average and even points it out to the company.
openRegarding discussion of base breaking elements
While I understand that this wiki is mostly to praise fiction we enjoy, sometimes I feel a bit of negativity (constructive criticism) is never bad (at least in YMMV articles), and I remember that the other wiki sometimes has a "Reception" section that lists the opinions of reviewers. (especially reviewers with their own trope site)
Is it a bad idea to cite opinions of reviewers when discussing about a reaction trope? For example, I could cite "Mr Y" about the positive opinion of a character and then cite "miss X" about the negative opinion of a character.
Or would this invite an edit war?
open I'm Not Defending Them But...,
- Character: "I'm not defending the dude, but what if he was honest with them to begin with? What if he was candid to them about what happened before it was even leaked. Now, considering their history with situations like this, they would've let him go regardless.
resolved Hilarious in Hindsight misuse
Hilarious in Hindsight is meant to list when aspects of a work are made more humorous by future events. However, HilariousInHindsight.Avengers Endgame seems to have the examples doing the opposite, with it listing aspects of earlier works that are made humorous by Endgame. I noticed this form of misuse on various other pages as well.
Edited by costanton11openThe differences between the tropes
Shouldn't Intersex redirect to Wrong Genetic Sex, not Hermaphrodite? Wrong Genetic Sex seems to be for realistic intersex characters.
openWoobieDestroyerOfWorlds
Is Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds YMMV? It's a subtrope of Woobie, which is YMMV, but it doesn't have the tag.
Edited by Crossover-EnthusiastopenI submitted one new thread and got two? Web Original
So, I made a new thread for "Kaiketsu Zorori" on the TVTropes forums, and after I made it apparently a copycat was made by mistake. Did the "Create a Thread" button glitch or something?
openIt Chapter Two Film
Why was the page for It Chapter Two cut? The reason listed on the cut page said it was because it has "no promotional material", but that's not true. A teaser trailer has been out since early May.
openFanWorks/CNCity
FanWorks.CN City is a mess. It's in the wrong namespace and has the wrong title, the fanfic in question and the author aren't linked (though the fic does exist), the non-Main pages are linked to Main anyway, context is either nonexistent or dubious, and it isn't indexed. I plan on fixing it later, but I just wanted to bring it to attention because of how bad it is.
I also don't know if I should send the page's creator notifiers for it because of how infrequently they edit.
Edited by Crossover-EnthusiastopenTroper with indentation issues
Thorfinn Rowle has issues with indentation, even after I sent a notifier.
Here's the latest violation: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Characters.KNDMainVillains#edit23379252
I also sent a notifier a long time ago that they didn't link a one-word work name properly, but they seem to have fixed that problem.
open Trope Blocking?
So I've been frequenting the Pokemon Masters page a lot and have often found it blank (That is, I know people have written something and, by the time I revisited, everything was removed). Today I checked the history and found that one troper has been commenting out or deleting every trope that has been added to the page from June 20th onward. They've stated that part of their justification is that the troping was speculative, but I'm wondering whether or not they have crossed the line with that. Some of what I've read, at least from my perspective, was not speculative (By which I mean that the general trope was confirmed and parts of the explanation were speculative). What do you suggest I do?
openRestore wrongly cut page
I don't know if it's here where I must ask this. This page, https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Recap/SandersSidesS1E8AloneOnValentinesDay, has been cut by mistake. I had recently created it to replace https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Recap/SandersSidesS1E9AloneOnValentinesDay, which had the episode number wrong. The one with the number 9 had been provisionally turned into a redirect, and I think the intention of whoever sent it to the cut list was to delete the redirect. However, both the redirection and the final page with all the content have been deleted. Is there any way the cut can be reversed and its content restored? I'd hate being forced to write it all again from scratch.
Edited by manbemelopenInvoked YMMV Videogame
SasquatchX added this to Characters.Super Smash Bros Ultimate 70 To 75 in the Hero's folder:
- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: Invoked Trope, as the inclusion of Eight among the playables is this. Sakurai makes mention in his interview regarding the acquisition of the Heroes of Eight's status being the one that western audiences are most likely going to recognize.
This isn't proper use of Invoked Trope isn't it? Using it for YMMV items is for when said item occurs within the narrative itself, not when it is used as a reason from Word of God for including something within a work.
Edited by homogenizedopenAbout An Example Edit Western Animation
wonder1440 changed an entry from LGBT Fanbase from this:
- Star vs. the Forces of Evil has gained one of these due to a popular fan-theory on Tumblr that Marco is a closeted trans girl. There are also fans who ship Marco and Tom, along with fans who think Star is Ambiguously Bi.
To this:
- Star vs. the Forces of Evil has gained one of these due to fans who ship Marco and Tom, along with fans who think Star is Ambiguously Bi.
The theory may not be canon, but I do know a substantial amount of fans headcanoned it and got into the series because of it. Shouldn't the example be reverted?
How many moments should a series have before it has it's own page. Because Sesame Street only has two examples.
