Bunnies For Cuteness

  • Patty Rabbit from the 1986 series Maple Town is a very caring and adventurous rabbit. She really cares for her friends and family. Especially her baby brother and her best friend Bobby.

Germans Love David Hasselhoff

  • Maple Town:
    • While the series is forgotten in some parts of Europe, and the United States. The series is very popular, and beloved in Spain. Spain has also become one of the few countries that we're able to gain a home video release of the series both on DVD and VHS. In Spain, the anime gained a complete DVD set unlike other countries. Some Patty and Bobby figurines we're also exclusively made in Spain.
    • Maple Town is also beloved in France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.

Superlative Dubbing

  • The Spanish dub of the 1986 series Maple Town is very decent. The Spanish voice actors give more life and emotion into their performances. Especially with Patty Rabbit who's Spanish voice actor gave more emotion and life to the character along with making her more cuter.

Characters / A Song of Ice and Fire - House Lannister Lord Tywin Lannister

  • Irrational Hatred: Tywin hate his son Tyrion for his wife one of the only people he smile at and it become clear thought the series that nothing Tywin will do will ever change that. Tywin conformed to Tyrion that he alway view him as a deformed, lecherous, ungrateful, scheming monster responsible for the death of his own mother in childbirth, and Tyrion's recent accomplishments have done precisely nothing to change Tywin's mind.
While he cannot bring himself kill him, he would not mind getting rid of him in a indirect way, this bite him in the butt when Tyrion has enough and kills Tywin.

Just create trope and work examples as you would if you were going to add them to the site. Someone will then proofread and correct your work. Reading the corrections will help you learn better English.

You can also ask questions about English here.

When your English has improved enough (i.e. when your work doesn't need corrections any more), then you can ask the moderators on the Edit Banned/Suspended - Would Like to Edit Again thread if you can be unsuspended.

Characters / King of the Hill Hank Hill

  • Undying Loyalty: Since hiring him, Buck Strickland has been the man that Hank followed without question. Although this is Deconstruction, as Hank is so hooked on the honest, hardworking man Strickland was that he fails to see him as he is now: a lazy, perverted, greedy and dishonest man who cheats on his wife, takes advantage of his employees and has no passion for propane whatsoever (his house doesn't use a propane grill, but an electric one). Even when Buck does some pretty awful things, like once framing Hank for a murder, Hank never quits or turns on him. However Season 5 episode The Buck Stops Here show that even Hank has his limits when Buck endanger his family. When Hank got his son Bobby a job as a caddy at the Everwood Country club and then he become Buck personal caddy. Originally happy that he was working so closely with his boss Hank change his tune when some of Buck's negative traits begin to rub off on Bobby. After one game where Buck convinces Bobby that "it is only cheating if you get caught", he gives Bobby his watch as a tip. Hank, fed up with Bobby copying Buck's attitude and language, orders Bobby to return the watch. Hank says that there is no cheating in the Hill residence, and says if Bobby wants to cheat he should go to the Strickland residence. Hank figures Bobby will learn his lesson, surmising Buck does not run a daycare center and will refuse to invite Bobby the night over. To his dispointment Buck let Bobby in. The next morning, Hank goes to get Bobby, only to learn that he left with Buck for Hot Springs, Arkansas. An enraged Hank then makes the long trip from Texas to Arkansas in order to retrieve Bobby from possible danger. Once Hank rescue Bobby and lets Buck Strickland jump in the back of his truck as he's being pursued by a bunch of thugs. Strickland shouts at them, calling them sons of bitches, a angry Hank slows down just enough to let one of the thugs punch Strickland in the face.

Characters / King of the Hill - Strickland Propane

  • Serious Business: Subverted In episode Snow Job Buck went on how Propane is God gas only for Hank to discover Buck use electric stove in his home. Buck did not see what the deal was and told Hank it just a business, it about making as much money as you can while you can. However it implied in the past he originally had the same passion for Propane as Hank before his vices caught up with him.

Western Animation / Robotboy

  • Thicker Than Water: A rare instance of this being a negative trait. Despite Tommy brother Donnie being a ugly thug that a asshole to him for no apparent reason, Tommy still cares for him and treats him as family. Season 1 episode 9 The Donnienator best show that. Donnie decides to steal and destroy all of Tommy’s action figures by throwing them in a woodchipper. When Tommy try to stop him, Donnie got angry and try to shove him into the woodchipper. When Robotboy intervenes and Donnie ends up in hospital. Tommy was worry about Donnie and hope he was alright. Robotboy was understatedly confuse, but Tommy explain that Donnie still his brother and family alway family even when there going to hurt you.

Alright. Here's another tropes that need to be proofread:

  • A Day in the Limelight: Although Arisu is the main focus of the story, several characters in the manga were also portrayed as the main characters mainly in the special chapters to gave their point of view about the games that they had to endured. One of the best examples is in the Jack of Hearts chapter which focuses on 20 players in a deadly game of solitary confinement and most of the characters in said chapters had no relations with Arisu or other side characters that has been featured in previous chapters.
  • Ambiguously Brown: Characters like Takeru Danma/Boshiya, Aguni Morizono, Ginji Kyuma and Hikaru Kuina looks like someone from Caribbean Islands or Southern parts of Africa rather than looking like a natural Japanese person which is understandable due to the artstyle from the author and Hikari is revealed to be a transgender in the manga.
  • An Arm and a Leg: One of the players in Borderland, Akane Heiya, lost her left leg after struggling to escape from the baseball arena that got destroyed by the initial burst of hot spring which resulted on her getting amputated. This reflects on the real world as after Japan got struck with a meteor, her left leg was amputated with a Flex-Foot Cheeta.
  • Bare Your Midriff: Several characters such as Rizuna An and Hikaru Kuina wore an outfit that expose their midriffs even if the association that they joined known as The Beach were disbanded. And several characters from the beach also qualifies as this due to one of the rules being the members should wear swimsuit or their summerwear.
  • Big Bad: Mira Kanou, one of the citizens in Borderland, is the closest thing that this series had because she is responsible of Arisu's depressed state and is also the last enemy to deal with.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: After being bullied in the past, Niragi has one purpose: to become the most hated person in the world then proudly fell into hell. And he doesn't regret the deplorable actions that he had done.
  • The Caligula: After spending a long time in Borderland, Takeru Danma slowly becomes this as the Leader of the Beach. As he has no hesitations to kill the residents who doesn't offer the card to him and kills any person who betrays him.
  • Fanservice: The chapters involving the association called the Beach has a lot of people wearing their swimsuits. However, it soon become Fan Disservice due to the dark secrets that the Beach had such as the corpse scattering in the secret place of the beach and said corpse is from the people who failed to get the cards for their leader, Takeru Danma.
  • Fantastic Drug: One of the strategies that Mira had to defeat Arisu. In the final battle, Mira gave Arisu a tea which is revealed to be filled with a drug that could make someone fell into a huge depression and making them easy to manipulate.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Even if The Beach was disbanded, Hikari Kuina is one of the person who shows so many skin even in her regular clothes. Rizuna An also comes close with Kuina due to her regular outfit exposing her midriff and showing her legs.
  • Stripperific:
    • Hikaru Kuina wears an outfit that consists of a black bra and white trousers as her normal outfit after The Beach was disbanded.
    • Rizuna An wears a shirt that expose her midriff and a very short pants that expose her leg.

Characters / Bojack Horseman - Mr. Peanutbutter

  • Fatal Flaw: Mr. Peanutbutter has two flaws Ignorance and Need To Be Loved.
    • Many of his personal problems with others are the direct result of his doing- during Season 3 and 4, the earlier hints of his selfish behavior become much more apparent, and there are many times he outright rejects the advice of his wife or others in order to serve his own interests. There are many hints throughout season 4 that he's actually using Obfuscating Stupidity for the purposes of making himself look good, such as his replication of Diane's "Belleroom" as a move to try to make himself look like a caring husband, when in reality it's the exact opposite of what Diane really wanted.
    • His insecurity to be liked by others. This particularly comes into play where Season 4 where even Mr. Peanutbutter acknowledges he has this problem when he said this is why he wanted to run for Governor of California. In Season 5, he starts dating a adorable pug named Pickles whose personality seems similar to his so they get along. He still has feelings for Diane and has an affair with her near the end. He wants to come out and be honest with Pickles. He doesn't want to hurt her feelings and be hated by her that rather than tell her the truth......he randomly proposes to her.

  • Marie is getting a disproportionate amount of attention in Japan, and is more frequently featured in Tokyo Disneyland. The reason why? Japanese love kittens. So much so that she's gotten her own manga that was released in Japan and Brazil called "Miriya & Marie" which gained a western translation and released under the "Disney Manga" brand in the United States and Brazil in June 2018. This has also spread to the rest of Asia. If you're looking for Aristocats merchandise outside Japan, you won't find any outside of the DVD and Blu-Ray, and the occasional novelization and picture book. Marie merchandise, on the other hand...

  • Marie from Disney's The Aristocats has gotten a huge load of attention from Disney and cat lovers over the years. Especially in Japan, to the point that she was exclusive at Tokyo Disneyland in the mid 2000's until she started making appearances in Walt Disney World's Epcot and later moved to the Magic Kingdom a few years later. Speaking of Japan, there was a spinoff manga made in 2012 that was released in Japan and Brazil called called "Miriya & Marie" where Marie is the main character. The manga later gained a US/Canada release on June 2018 under the "Disney Manga" brand. She's also featured the most in Disney merchandise and anything related to the film. In fact, there was going to be a sequel which starred Marie but got cancelled when Disney closed it's animation studio.

Explained with the fact that she is ambidextrous, so while most people learned to distinguish directions by assigning them to their dominant and non-dominant hand, this only confused Sayane.
