Heh, I actually made my own thread of this a while ago, but nobody ever posted. So I'll help.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessIf I've known you made that thread, then I would've bumped it :p
A lot of examples have to be rewritten though, so it'll be a lot of work.
I really don't know why Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds isn't YMMV even though the rest of the Woobie tropes are.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!I think it's because audience reaction doesn't matter there, and it's just a trope about a person with a bad life snapping.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessOkay then, I guess I'll have to gut out all the audience reaction stuff in this entry.
Here's what I got:
- Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: Beast Boy falls for the power of the Dark Prognosticus and tries to destroy the universe. His motivation for doing so is because he can't take life anymore after Terra does not want to come back to the team, following the ending of the show.
Does this really count if he unintentionally comes off like this?
- Ungrateful Bastard: The fic tries to convince us that the Teen Titans are this, as noted in The Tape Knew You Would Say That. However, Beast Boy fits the bill better as he does not care that Terra is no longer a statue, he only cares about the fact that she doesn't want to be with him. Also, he never displays gratitude toward the Doom Patrol or the other Titans for taking him in, he only wangsts about their getting cross with and teasing him the way true friends do.
Yeah, I don't think that counts.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI noticed a common theme when people are troping Mykan's prefered characters in his works is that they tend to forget that they're Possession Sues and they just trope them like that's how they are in canon even they're so far removed from their canon selves, they might as well be different characters.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Do we also need to look up My Brave Pony: Starfleet Magic for this cleanup?
From what I've gathered the Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds trope is about a dangerous character who was driven to Ax-Crazy/hankering-to-destroy-everyone/omnicidal tendencies by severe trauma(s). The example as it stands feels too benign to really fit. I mean the only thing it states is that Beast Boy can't handle life now that Terra isn't around, which doesn't sound particularly traumatic.
Should we point out anything that portrays Starfleet in a villainous light?
YMMV is fine, because the audience obviously sees Starfleet as evil, but for objective tropes we need to stick with what the work claims.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWhat are the objective tropes that shouldn't be there? Do you think taking out things that portrays them as Scary Dogmatic Aliens and/or Knight Templars? (I'm not being Inquerius, since I don't always speak in questions. And by the way, Mykan now has a TV Tropes account.)

Yeah, he's in Edit Banned right now. Maybe we can have him pitch in if he gets released? That'd be quite the thing...
But, yeah, we should remove the "objective" tropes that bash Starfleet. We all know that they can be read as villainous, but they weren't meant to be.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWell, I think he can help us edit the main and character pages when he gets released, since he's the author of this fic.
Long as there's no attempt to "clean" the subjectives, ya know?
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI do not think Mykan is the sort of writer who can be trusted to edit the pages of his own work
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse? Why don't you think so? (I'm thinking it's more than just lack of proofreading that you don't trust him...)
Edited by K4713-7R0P3R on May 8th 2022 at 5:01:27 AM
I think saying why I don't trust Mykan might edge into breaking the "don't be a dick" rule. I think it's a moot point, since given the tone of his appeals I'll be surprised if he makes it out of Edit Banned
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse?Well, if he does break out, we'll have to do our best to cooperate with him. If not, well...
The timing couldn’t be more perfect for him to come on right around when I made this cleanup.
I’ll add all the pages that involve him in the starter post shortly for easy access.
EDIT: Done.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!I found these under YMMV.Fall Of Starfleet Rebirth Of Friendship
- Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: Mykan's original cast was full of one-note Flat Characters. Now, they have more traits, actual development, and even moments of sympathy. Even Rhymey and Grand Ruler graduate from generic Scrappies to intentional Hate Sinks, which is still an improvement with regards to characterization.
- Take That, Scrappy!: Given how badly disliked he was in the source material, it's hard to interpret Rainbow Dash's verbal and physical smackdown of Rhymey as anything else. Getting thrown out of Fluttershy's house is probably even more cathartic. Then there's chapter 16, which could very easily be renamed "Take That, Rhymey!" He is also the only Starfleet member not to redeem himself, who joins Conquest, loses to Rainbow Dash again and gets an unhappy ending for being an abuser.
- Happens to the Grand Ruler in ‘The Fall, Part 2’. Dark Conquest effortlessly demolishes him in combat, along with giving him a "The Reason You Suck" Speech, and exposes his lies to all of United Equestria. And Conquest has such an easy time because Celestia took the source of Celesto's power away.
This would imply that Rhymey and the Grand Ruler is seen as a Scrappies in this fanfic, even though they’re Love to Hate here.
Also, I want to make sure the Women Are Wiser entry I made for the main page looks good. I hope I’m not missing context. I also plan on adding one for Celestia compared to Celestio later on.
- Women Are Wiser: This trope is taken to an extreme with Mary Ward. She’s completely moral and pure, unlike her unfaithful husband Harry, and her incestuous son Rhymey, who are also both very abusive towards her.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread! Is this paragraph at the start of every Starfleet Magic Hate Fic's page really necessary?

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!YMMV.Fall Of Starfleet Rebirth Of Friendship
- Too Cool to Live: Retroactively, Twilight Sparkle. She saw past Grand Ruler's lies before anyone else, demolished Raven in a straight fight (or would have, had Lightning Dawn not been playing the Manchurian Agent), and could quite likely accomplish basically everything the protagonists in the story did had she survived. And while she does eventually come back to life, it's after the plot is mostly wrapped up and her main contribution is to give Dark Conquest and Necromancer the coup de grace.
Isn't this misuse when the character comes back to life?
- Tastes Like Diabetes: A borderline case, as the ending has things turning out just a bit too perfectly; however, there's kind of a decent explanation for it, and the cast went through eleven kinds of hell to get there, so it's not as bad as it could be.
This one has Weasel Words and tries to justify itself.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Tastes Like Diabetes is now Sweetness Aversion anyway so it's okay to remove examples if you aren't sure if they fit the new name.
I really don't understand this wiki's obsession with this author. If it was up to me, I'd delete these pages because I'd rather not promote such an infamous fanfic writer that gets a lot of people angry. The less people know about him the better.
However, because There Is No Such Thing as Notability, The least I can do is cleanup these pages to be more tolerable to read, because I think they're some of the worst pages on the wiki, especially in terms of complaining and author bashing. Even fanfics based on this author's works have snide remarks against the original fic in the pages.
Here's an example from The End of Ends that I'm talking about:
