Character-Specific Pages (CSPs) are created when individual characters have so many trope examples that they can't reasonably be included on a shared page.
The Administrivia Character-Specific Pages policy details the rules that apply to these pages. All Character-Specific Pages must also follow the basic How to Create a Character Page policy, as well as the wiki's more general policies about spoilers and examples.
This cleanup thread handles the following tasks:
- Reviewing and approving new CSP proposals. All new potential CSPs must be reviewed and, if necessary, cleaned up before they're created.
- Agreeing on page names for new CSPs.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a new CSP is created.
- Reviewing existing CSPs if there's a concern that they need cleanup, or if it's believed that the character may no longer qualify for a page.
- Merging existing CSPs into other character pages when necessary.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a CSP is removed/merged.
- Creating, updating and cutting redirects, as necessary, to reflect these splits and merges.
Crowners are not normally required but, where appropriate, can be used to formalise decisions on any of these points.
If a character no longer qualifies for a CSP, it's often more practical to turn the CSP into a redirect than to cut the page entirely. This keeps the page history visible to users, and also helps to steer offsite 'inbound' traffic (search engine results) to the right place. With that in mind, cut requests for CSPs may be declined and referred to this thread if they don't have a clear consensus.
Comments linking back to this thread can be added to CSPs when needed - e.g. to confirm their creation was approved, to warn tropers that a cleanup is in progress, or to note the date and outcome of a more recent review.
We also have some more general threads for character page help -
- Character Page Cleanup: for trope misuse, zero-context examples, spoiler tagging issues etc.
- Are these character tropes?: for queries about whether particular tropes belong on a character page or on the work's page.
This is not a policy discussion thread, it's a cleanup thread — any requests for policy changes need to be raised in Wiki Talk.
Mod update 07 Mar 2024, reflecting new CSP policy, updated again 22 Mar 2024 to mention redirects for removed CSPs
- Other options must have been tried first, like splitting pages into further groups.
- The character's folder is cleaned up beforehand, fixing any Zero-Context Examples and Wall of Text entries and removing any outdated, misused, or non-character tropes.
- A character's folder is at least 6,000 words/40,000 characters (with spaces). Here is a byte counter.note
- The current character page bypasses technical limitations and requires a split up.
- A single character takes up the majority of a page or is disproportionately bigger than other folders.
Splitting a character into their own page is a major change and needs to be run by the community before it is enacted. Even if you believe a character meets these requirements, they should be run through this thread first. Having other tropers take a look can help spot issues you may not notice or believe to be issues.
Per How to Create a Character Page, character-specific pages should only include tropes that describe the character. These tropes should fall under Characterization Tropes or one of its related indexes, unless they're recurring character traits (distinctive things that the character does repeatedly). If you're unsure what counts as a character trope, you can ask the Are these Character Tropes? thread.
If you have concerns with a general character page, they have their own separate cleanup thread, as do the self-demonstrating character pages.

Remember, there was also Scream Ghostface Masterminds and Scream Ghostface Accomplices
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsX5Like I was trying to say before, there's more discussion needed about the characters that have tropes from two different franchise. That's why I wanted to leave Amazing Spider-Man as a solo page. So I'm saying no to merging him back.

It's gonna be fun on the bun!(I think that's enough ''; this relates to the previous page). Looking at Ash, some of the write-ups are Wall of Text, so if the page split suggestion does appear any time soon, we can give his page a trim.
- A Certain Magical Index Touma Kamijou (90,876 bytes)
- A Certain Magical Index Accelerator (53,533 bytes)
- A Certain Scientific Railgun (39,796 bytes)
- A Certain Magical Index Mikoto Misaka (46,978 bytes)
So, I have three potential ideas.
- Merge Mikoto back into the Railgun page which would only be 86,774 bytes.
- Merge Touma and Accelerator into a main character's page for Index specifically which would be 144,403 bytes.
- Merge all four (as Railgun only incudes 3 other characters on that page) into a main characters page for the franchise as whole which would only be 231,183 bytes.
Thoughts?

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadMerge only mikoto for now. And trim the others if possible before doing more merges.
I would honestly split Pokémon Horizons and put it a new index.
A couple of potential merges:
- Pirates of the Caribbean: Main Characters (95,865)
- Who Framed Roger Rabbit (146,253)
- Who Framed Roger Rabbit – Judge Doom (76,177)
- Middle-earth Film: Independent Villains (61,832)
- Middle-earth Film: Smaug (45,021)
All are the only character specific pages for those franchises.
Sound like merge-backs to me
Make sure merging Doom back doesn't throw the warning.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsLooking at Doom's page, he also has a folder that describes that the comics reveal was his persona before becoming evil. Do you think that ought to go under the comic-exclusive character section of the page?
I'm in favour of it. The Who Framed Roger Rabbit comics were basically a separate continuity.
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe, the MCU: Multiverse page is giving the warning at 215,101 bytes, so if there's any immediate plans to re-merge any character-specific pages, we'll have to split it up first.
The merge made it too long, so reverting. Any other ideas for splits?

Checked the Miraculous Ladybug Pages and Character Specific Pages and here's the byte count for the villain pages:
- Miraculous Ladybug: Villains (65,219 characters/65,311 bytes)
- Miraculous Ladybug: Hawk Moth (96,965 characters/97,095 bytes)
- Miraculous Ladybug: Chloé Bourgeois (84,257 characters/84,559 bytes)
- Miraculous Ladybug: Lila Rossi (71,258 characters/71,357 bytes)
- Keep Gabriel's page due it being the longest of the pages and the page is big enough to remain split if we merge the other Character Specific Pages (220,734 characters/221,227 bytes). Though I'd advocate for moving it Characters.Miraculous Ladybug Gabriel Agreste to keep the page consistent with the other Character Specific Pages, Hawk Moth's identity is a case of a Late-Arrival Spoiler and It Was His Sled, so I don't think there are any spoiler concers. Furthermore, it's highly implied in Timetagger and the Season 5 Finale that Hawk Moth will become a Legacy Character with Lila taking the mantle.
- Chloe and Lila's pages could theoratically be remerged into the villains page, but the page is already at the around 220k bytes with both of them merged back and the show is still ongoing, so the page (especially Lila's folder) will likely become longer in the future. With this is mind, I would either remerge Chloe and Lila for now and keep an eye on the main villains page to potentially split one of them off again, or keep Chloe's page around for now.
I'll also look at the Heroes pages, but splitting those off will be more complicated due to the main Heroes page already being too long and there are many ways to split it off into further groups that I'd like to discuss first.

"Stand Proud, Sukuna, you are strong" | He/HimThis could be split by 'Earths', so a page A and page B approach? This work looks pretty complex, so sorry that isn't better advice!
The MCU in general is gonna be a freaking nightmare.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsSo, is the Arrowverse.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup thread- Adventure Time: Main (67,314)
- Adventure Time: Finn (63,889)
- Adventure Time: Princess Bubblegum (51,250)
- Adventure Time: Ice King (68,050)
- Adventure Time: Antagonists and Enemies (148,378)
- Adventure Time: The Lich (64,242)
The Lich and Farmworld Lich are not the same character, as the original Lich still exists as Sweet P, and the Farmworld Lich running around separately. They even kind of team up in one episode. In actuality the Jerry version is the real version of the Lich, as that’s the one that got his wish fulfilled.
We’ve really got to nail down how to deal with CSP that have variant characters because of Multiverse plots.

It's gonna be fun on the bun!Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam Titans is at 91,562 bytes and Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam Paptimus Scirocco is at 44,540 bytes.
Any issue if I merge?
No, it's an easy merge.
Another one is Characters.Full Metal Daemon Muramasa Kageaki Minato (51,9k) into Characters.Full Metal Daemon Muramasa Main Characters (113,1k)
Looks great!
