We don't seem to have a place to ask "should we add or remove this redirect", so here's a place for that.
(Redirect creation in Main/ requires asking a mod at the locked pages thread, but having some discussion behind the request will probably help convince them it's a good idea.)

To be clear, redirects for tropes need to go through the thread.
And yes, I think a thread would be great.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessRight, it's the Main/ namespace that's locked to new pages.
As for the redirect that inspired this page: We noticed the other day that Shirtless Jackman Scene is a redirect to Shirtless Scene.
Now, we get it, Hugh Jackman is very attractive... but this seems like Fan Myopia. The majority of shirtless scenes are by other actors.
Unless this is some kinda fanspeak that legit overwhelms the non-name-dropping phrase elsewhere, this seems cuttable.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Yeah. It was created in 2010 by an IP address instead of a real troper account, and it's accumulated 19 inbounds in 10 years. I'd say it can be cut.

I say we can cut also. It's before the Google incident, so it's likely a vandal.
Rock'n'roll never dies! While doing Our Elves Are Better cleanup I have been wondering why As An Elf exists (formerly to Better, now to Our Elves Are Different). It seems to serve no purpose and was unilaterally created in 2012 because the user "got tired of linking people to a nonexistent page". Cut?
Yes, please.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Makes sense
Made the redirect.
Rock'n'roll never dies!Squee Bait redirects to Squee. It was created in 2010 by Fast Eddie and has no other history.
We're very confused about the idea that these are synonymous. Should we cut this redirect?
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. It's not even collecting any inbounds (only 13), so probably.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? With Elliot Page having come out as trans and non-binary today, I have a question: while Ellen Page is currently a redirect, do we cut deadname redirects like such once they've been dewicked?
back lolThis ATT seems to lean towards keeping it, if only for searchability purposes. The deadname is public knowledge, it remains that way in their filmography's credits, and not everyone stays up to date with celebrities' personal lives.
To put it another way, if I fell into a coma right after I saw X-Men: Days of Future Past in cinemas and I thought, "I liked the girl who played Kitty, I wonder what she's up to now," that redirect would be useful.

Why does the redirect Main.Sorry I Left The BGM On have "Left the Background Music On" (the title of its target) as its WikiWord? We don't do it with other redirects locked to enforce the name change.
I'm back!I put in a request to change it to "Sorry, I Left the BGM On".
That automatically got done with all redirects to ptitles when The Ptitle Replacement System got implemented; I imagine we just never got around to fixing this one (which would originally have been pointing at something like Sorry, I Left The BGM On)

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Because Fast Eddie used custom titles to enforce renames and this was one of the titles affected.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSame thing happened to the You Fail X Forever redirects, from what I remember.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. Why's Naval Action a redirect to Undercover as Lovers?
It was created in 2012 by battosaijoe, who hasn't consistently edited pages since 2015. My guess is that it's some kind of shipping pun, as a lot of romance tropes used to have such names.
Narusisuto redirect for The Fighting Narcissist. No article redirects, but seems to have some forum redirects. Wonder what's the data on this redirect and should it be removed?

I wish i could condense my picked quotes into a single website, but i guess that won't happenThat seems to be Gratuitous Japanese for "narcissist".
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. This is the type of redirect we don't want.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Hi, I'd like for the individual (ex. The Sims, The Sims 2) redirects leading to The Sims to be undone, as I plan to break the gigantic character page into several smaller ones and sort families there by the games they were first introduced in. :)
