I dunno. What's the motto with you?

Administrivia describes The Troping Code as "The ultimate summation of the rules". It should not be any longer.

I made some changes to TV Tropes Forum's descriptions of Trope Talk, Wiki Talk, and Short-Term Projects.

Here they are.

Yeah, those are way better.

Macron told me what World Building is for since I didn't know anything about it before that, so I borrowed her description of it since "Feeling Creative?" is too vague to be useful and isn't capitalized correctly.

Double posting because after seeing that most trope entries on the TV Tropes Forum page are commented-out ZCEs with no text other than the trope names, I'm in favor of removing that section.

Edit: Removed it and added a mod notice mentioning that TV Tropes is not supposed to trope online communities, including its own.

I made some minor tweaks to The Fic May Be Yours, but the Trope Page Is Ours...that's a good expansion overall.

Sorry, but to me the current state of The Fic May Be Yours, but the Trope Page Is Ours sounds like a total change in its purpose.

Is my understanding that "If a trope doesn't have the YMMV banner at the top it shouldn't be at YMMV" correct? Due to the increased amount of confusion recently, I think What Goes Where on the Wiki could say so explicitly as a summation, because people assume subcategory 2 means if a trope example is debatable or applies to Real Life they can use it as YMMV.

Yes. Tropes with that banner are either on the Audience Reactions index or YMMV.Home Page. Adding tropes to those indexes auto banners them as YMMV.

I don't mind explicitly spelling that out on the What Goes Where on the Wiki page.

Not a mod obviously but I honestly like the changes. I think it's good that we explicitly spell out what creators can and can't do with their works on TV Tropes. I fear it leads to confusion otherwise.

Is How to Create a Disambiguation Page WIP?

I honestly forgot about that if I saw it in the past, and considering it was made two years ago, I'm guessing discussion just kind of died off.

It's been a while since we talked about this, but I finally got approval from the admins to launch Please Trope Responsibly, replacing Troping Under the Influence (which will become a redirect). Before we put it up, are there any final comments?

The paragraph saying that we won't make special accommodations for disabilities was removed because it may give rise to concerns that we are not providing accessibility for disabled persons. This is not its intent but I understand how it may have come across.

Seems fine to me.

Have any of the suspended raised an argument "I've stayed up all night and wasn't thinking clearly"? If it sounds like a thing that could be said regarding attitude or grammar I think it's similar to intoxication.

Well, we touched on it at the 5T thread but none of us used it as an excuse, we'd all just realized that sleep deprivation made us act more impulsively.

It is very rare. I kept that part about being drunk in because it was part of the previous article and there have been a few incidents in the past. I don't feel like we need to spell out every single possible reason why someone's judgment could be impaired.

If it's a non-issue it's fine. I just recall bringing it up as a loophole potential and don't recall how that argument ended.

I've transplanted Please Trope Responsibly to its new home and dewicked Troping Under the Influence, with a few outliers. I don't feel like doing anything about the ghost wick from the sandbox; I wasn't aware the page mover would do that. The Laconic is on the Cut List. Apparently there's an Italian translation which is now obsolete. I guess we can cutlist it.

I don't recall seeing that, but if I'm tired, I tend to become less coherent and more talkative at the same time, and I also make typos more often. That's pretty much why I tend to not use the mod tools when I'm tired.

When I'm tired I do worse on this site. I also do worse when I'm having issues with diabetes—I'm type 1 diabetic and some of my worst moments on this site were when my blood sugar was low.

Sleep deprivation was talked about a lot during that mass TLP suspension since a lot of the chaos took place past midnight in EST.
