yes it's another snowclone sue me
This is basically what you get when you combine "Scenes from a Hat", "Which of your avatars fits the above description", and the Avatar Association Game.
First, someone posts a generic character description, in bold, designating the start of a chain (e.g. "Gentle Giants", "Characters with long tails", etc.) Other tropers then post avatars from their galleries that fit the description, until someone decides to start a new chain.
As a rule of thumb, you should wait until a chain has lasted at least four or five posts before starting a new one, but you can ignore this rule if the game isn't moving.
Let's start with: Characters with fire powers
I don’t really have to explain this one.
i think i’m in love (probably just hungry)
Eyjafjalla has fire-related magic
Just an eagle. (Feel free to PM me if you want to talk to me).Laura Edmonds can manipulate fire as well as almost every other element. She uses lightning most often in battle though.
These two may literally be more bark than bite, but they are no less tenacious than everyone else.New chain: Characters who are involved in political matters. Monarchs, bureaucrats, spies, assassins, average joes caught in the middle of it, etc.
Like in the original myth, Mordred rebelled against Altria and usurped the throne of Britain for a while.

In the game, Oaama no Ake no Mitori overthrew the old monarch by killing them, before taking the throne for themself.
Just an eagle. (Feel free to PM me if you want to talk to me).Fine and Rein: the titular girls from Fushigiboshi no★Futagohime. Note that Futagohime literally means "Twin Princesses".
These two may literally be more bark than bite, but they are no less tenacious than everyone else.
White Diamond is the leader of The Great Diamond Authority, the leaders of Homeworld
She/they. Hirrus Clutumnus is my comfort character
Count Cagliostro, naturally.
"Don't cry because it's over, cry because it happened."New chain: Vehicles
Lupin and Jigen’s 1957 yellow Fiat 500.
"Don't cry because it's over, cry because it happened."
Brum. Also fun fact: the person who made him, Rex Garrod, was also a Robot Wars competitor if you don't know already.
The theme is vehicles

Just an eagle. (Feel free to PM me if you want to talk to me).
Commander of Deep Space 9, a highly active freeport stationed at the mouth of a trans-galactic wormhole, which is the main source of commerce and tourism for a planet which recently overcame an occupation. There's a lot of politics going on, and Sisko here is heavily involved in both keeping the peace, as well as waging the war.
Hmm. I have no qualifiers then.

"Get me a gun, I'm a soldier; but put me in that suit and I'm a superhero." - Gunnery Sgt Roberta "Bobbie" Draper MMC
Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik. A mass produced Ground Attack Plane used by the Soviets in WWII, nicknamed "The Flying Tank" for its sheer ruggedness. Stalin once famously said that lL-2s were "as essential to the Red Army as air and bread."

USS Enterprise is obviously a spaceship
Just an eagle. (Feel free to PM me if you want to talk to me).

The Razorback, a ship built to "VROOM VROOM!!!" in space.
"Get me a gun, I'm a soldier; but put me in that suit and I'm a superhero." - Gunnery Sgt Roberta "Bobbie" Draper MMCNew chain: Convicts
Sideshow Bob has been to prison too many times to count, mostly for attempting to murder Bart Simpson and later the entire Simpson family
She/they. Hirrus Clutumnus is my comfort character
Alice Yabusame; bonus points for literally being referred to as The Convict early on. Was imprisoned for murdering Sou Hiyori, but why he did it and the full details are mostly unknown.
Well, that’d be jus’ a waste. Why would ya want to deprive the world of such anomaly as yourself?
Dr. Lecter is technically in an asylum, not a prison, but six of one...
I'm in your fanfiction, correcting your spelling.
Jason has done some crimes when he was alive and possibly went to jail. One of him and his buddy's schemes involved robbing a place which led to his death of suffocating a safe he hid in.

The thing is Howard it doesn't matter how old you are, bouncy castles are still genius!
Oh dear, where to start with Murdoc? A good chunk of Gorillaz lore can be explained with “Murdoc is in prison again”.
"Don't cry because it's over, cry because it happened."
Bella here spent 14 years in Azkaban, arguably the worst prison in the Wizarding World in terms of how much it sucks to be in there. No wonder she's insane.
Duncan has spent a lot of time in youth prison and at the end of All Stars he's sent to regular prison
The thing that was gonna be powerful, then not, then powerful again
Yamamoto's Zanpakuto posseses fire-related abilities. In fact, it is considered the strongest fire-based Zanpakuto in Soul Society
