the cast leaves you very open, and there's not any flinch from the move, it's basically got the same properties as Fox's blaster in terms of damage.

What do you mean there's no Morphogenetic Field? then what happened to that guy I shot?

If it helps anyone with formatting, Dr No Puma and I made templates.

I still need to decide who my 20th character moveset will be. Unless I'm forgetting someone huge, there's not really anyone I'd want to see that I haven't already covered. And I'd like to have it be someone huge for that milestone, either to gaming, or to me.

Actually... maybe Max from the original Shining Force, who summons the rest of the Shining Force as his specials. Ooh, this could work. And it wouldn't be a Fire Emblem character, but it'd be humorously close.

This movelist was inspired by late night floods of inspiration. I had to think of a way to keep him from being a basic swordsman for his non-specials, and I decided on relying on the special Rings. Fitting, since Rings are important to a certain other SEGA franchise that has seen a reference in Shining Force in the past.

    Max is Shining Bright!!

Max

Home Game/Series: Shining Force

Series Icon: A narrow 8 point star.

Role in home game(s): Protagonist and leader of the original Shining Force.

Gameplay Details

Attributes:

Fighter Abilities:

  • Shining Force: Max can summon stationary "puppet" characters of the Shining Force with his special moves.
    • They can take 20% of damage before dissipating.
    • If they fall in battle, they can't be used for the rest of that stock.
  • Field of Battle: Smashes and Specials summon the members of the Shining Force, who appear as stylized (overworld map) versions of themselves, no bigger than one of Steve's blocks. The areas their moves affect are visualized by a grid of same-sized squares around their central tile, with certain moves affecting certain areas.

Move list:

Basic Attacks

Throws

  • Grab: Grabs with his off hand.
  • Pummel: Hits the opponent in the face with the butt of his sword.
  • Forward: Bounces the opponent off the ground forwards.
  • Back: Bounces the opponent off the ground backwards.
  • Up: Flings the opponent upwards a short distance with one hand.
  • Down: Jumps on top of the opponent, burying them.

Tilts Rings

  • Forward: Max punches forwards with his off arm, which has the Power Ring equipped.
  • Up: Raises his off arm overhead and emits a pulse of dark energy from his hand, using the Black Ring. This move also hurts Max a little (referencing the ring being cursed).
  • Down: Punches the ground using the White Ring, which causes tripping on opponents nearby.

Smashes: Magic

  • Forward: Tao is summoned on the same tile Max is on and casts Blaze. Its level and area of effect changes depending on how long it's held.
    • Level 1: Affects the tile in front of Max and the next one over.
    • Level 2: Affects a + formation of tiles, centering on the one two tiles over, going one tile in each direction.
    • Level 3: Affects a + formation of tiles, centering on the one two tiles over, going one tile in each direction. Deals more damage than level 2.
    • Level 4: Affects the tile in front of Max and the next one over. Deals more damage than level 3.
  • Up: Alef is summoned on the same tile Max is on and casts Bolt. Its level and area of effect changes depending on how long it's held.
    • Level 1: Affects a + formation of tiles, centering on the one two tiles above Max, going one tile in each direction.
    • Level 2: Affects a + formation of tiles, centering on the one two tiles Above Max, going one tile in each direction. Deals more damage than level 1.
    • Level 3: Affects a + formation of tiles, centering on the one three tiles Above Max, going two tiles in each direction, and covering each tile one diagonal over from the center. Deals the same damage as level 2.
    • Level 4: Affects the tile above Max and the next up. Deals more damage than level 3.
  • Down: Anri is summoned on the same tile Max is on and casts Freeze. Its level and area of effect changes depending on how long it's held.
    • Level 1: Affects the area directly in front of Max, and can hit below the ledge.
    • Level 2: Affects the tiles on each side of Max.
    • Level 3: Affects the tiles on each side of Max. Deals more damage than level 2.
    • Level 4: Affects the area directly in front of Max, and can hit below the ledge. Deals more damage than level 3.

Aerials

Specials

Final Smash: Chaos Breaker

  • Raises the Sword of Light overhead, which casts Bolt 2 (see his Up Smash). Then raises the Sword of Darkness to meet it. A vertical pillar of dark energy is released representing the magic spell Desoul, and anyone caught in it who is over 100% is instantly KO'd. Then he merges the two swords to form the Chaos Breaker, which he plunges straight down with, hitting anyone who gets in his way. When he lands, he releases a powerful horizontal shockwave that extends the radius of Final Destination (with him at the center).

Kirby Copy Ability: Shining Force

  • "Hat" design: Max's headband and messy hair.
  • Copy Ability: Pulls up Max's down special menu, and a phantom of whichever character was selected does their primary ability and then disappears.

Character Details

Stage Entrance: Pops out of Simone's book.

Taunts:

  • Up: Poses holding his sword overhead.
  • Side: Flicks his impressively huge chin, the Mediterranean gesture for "Get lost!"

  • Victory Fanfare: The jingle for when someone joins the Shining Force.
  • Defeat reaction: Claps.

Classic Mode: "Heroes of Light and Darkness"

  • Description: Battles against RPG hero and anti-hero type characters.
  1. Hero
  2. Robin and a Morgan alt
  3. Link and a Dark Link alt
  4. Pit and Dark Pit
  5. Cloud and Sephiroth
  6. One Mii of each class, representing Kane (Swordfighter), Mishaela (Magician), Chaos (Gunner), and Ramladu (Brawler)
  • Boss: Black Knight then Rathalos, or Dracula, with both two-stage battles representing Darksol and Dark Dragon

Costumes - If Max is wearing one of his promoted costumes, the Shining Force he summons also appear in their promoted forms.

  1. Basic unpromoted green costume and headband with blue cape.
  2. Unpromoted light blue costume with white cape and headband (Luke's colors).

  4. Unpromoted black costume and headband with navy blue cape (Hanzou's colors).

  6. Promoted off white armor with blue cape and headband (Adam's colors).
  7. Promoted silver armor with red cape and headband (Mae and Pelle's colors).
  8. Promoted white armor with brown cape and headband (other centaurs' colors).

Stage Details

Stage Name: Pao Bridge

  • Origin: One of the notable battles from Shining Force.
  • Layout Description: A bridge stage, with two floating solid platforms on each side, each 1/2 Final Destination's width, connected by a semi-solid platform in the middle, also 1/2 Final Destination's width.
  • Special Features: The Right hand side has the Laser Eye, a stage boss that fires a giant laser over the breadth of the stage once per minute. It will issue a countdown with 10 seconds before it fires. The Laser Eye is a stage boss, but can be defeated. It has very high health. If hazards are turned off, it appears broken in the background.

TIL the series has a free to play mobile game coming out this year that revisits the original games! Cancelled a couple months later.

Time to actually figure out what this would be. Turns out I was forgetting someone who should've been my 20th. Oh well, I'm glad to have made a moveset for Max.

    Mii Magician Comes to Smash

Character Name

Home Game/Series: Smash original

Series Icon: Smash emblem

Role in home game(s): A new type of Mii Fighter to reflect characters that don't fall into Brawlers, Gunners, or Swordfighters. Many attacks are slight disjoints, using magical energy. These aren't physical attacks, so while some Mii costumes may have staffs, the energy doesn't actually come from the staff, so characters who don't use one don't have to act like it. The fighter would also be slightly slower and floatier than other Mii fighters.

Gameplay Details

Attributes:

Fighter Abilities:

  • None.

Move list:

Basic Attacks

  • Jab infinite: Waves a hand to emit sparkles of magical energy.
    • Jab infinite ender: Makes a fist to make a blast of magical energy.
  • Dash Attack: A forwards palm thrust.
  • Trip Recovery Attack: A leg sweep.
  • Floor (Wake Up) Attack: A weak rising uppercut.
  • Ledge Attack: A forward hand clap.

Throws

  • Grab: A telekinetic grab.
  • Pummel: Jolts the opponent with magical energy.
  • Forward: Psychically flings the opponent forwards.
  • Back: Psychically flings the opponent backwards.
  • Up: Psychically flings the opponent upwards.
  • Down: Bounces the opponent on the ground.

Tilts

  • Up: Waves a hand overhead.
  • Down: Sweeps a hand across the ground.

Smashes

  • Forward: Detonates an explosion of dark energy in front.
  • Up: Shoots a short vertical pillar of light directly overhead.
  • Down: Simultaneously blasts energy on both sides.

Aerials - Aerials are similar to Zelda's. Directional aerial sweetspots are a very short distance away from the Mii's body hitbox.

  • Neutral: Releases a wave of energy all around, similar to Mewtwo's Neutral Aerial.
  • Forward: Punches forwards with a burst of energy at the sweetspot.
  • Back: Kicks backwards with a burst of energy at the sweetspot.
  • Up: Claps overhead with a burst of energy at the sweetspot.
  • Down: Kicks downwards with a burst of energy at the sweetspot.

Specials

  • NEUTRAL
    • Neutral 1: Fire Spell
      • Press to shoot a slow moving fireball. The fireball can be moved slightly with the control stick after it is fired, similar to Zelda's Brawl version of Din's Fire.
      • Hold to emit a constant stream of fire forwards.
    • Neutral 2: Ice Spell
      • Press to dash forwards for a command grab that deals damage and has a chance to freeze.
      • Hold to shoot forwards shards of ice.
    • Neutral 3: Thunder Spell
      • Press to shoot a beam of fast moving lightning energy, similar to a midway point between Robin's Thunder and Thoron.
      • Hold to emit a constant circle of electrical energy around the Mii.
  • SIDE
    • Forward/Back 1: Squall - Hold to press both hands forwards, sending forth a medium strength wind that deals continuous, non-flinching damage.
    • Forward/Back 2: Wall - Erect a pillar of earth to momentarily block oncoming attacks.
    • Forward/Back 3: Enthrall - Projects a forwards circle of energy similar to Lucas' Psi Magnet.
      • Energy projectiles instead heal.
      • Non-energy projectiles and items in that area, including thrown items, are treated as being owned by this user. This does not actively reflect anything.
  • UP
    • Up 1: Flight - Identical to Palutena's Jump Glide.
    • Up 2: Teleport - A Teleport.
    • Up 3: Magic Platform/Carpet - A platform that can only be used once in midair.
      • Press to summon the platform and shortly afterwards jump off, restoring midair jump and not going into helpless.
      • Hold to control the platform, but go into helpless when done or when knocked off.
  • DOWN
    • Down 1: Magic Shower - Summon a sphere of energy overhead that can be thrown. After a short while, the sphere will emit a downpour of energy that slowly heals anyone standing underneath it.
    • Down 2: Magic Boost - Identical to Palutena's Lightweight.
    • Down 3: Magic Charge - Identical to Hero's Psyche Up.

  3. Win Pose 3: Brings hands together for a prayer.
  • Victory Fanfare: Standard Mii fanfare.

  • Vampire garb
  • Mage robe
  • Skull Kid
  • Viridi
  • Ashley
  • Isaac
  • Lip
  • Aerith
  • Veronica
  • Shantae

Fighters that inspired the Mii Magician:

  • Mewtwo
  • Zelda
  • Ness
  • Lucas
  • Palutena
  • Shulk
  • Robin
  • Hero

I've been browsing this thread for a while and decided to throw my hat in the ring.

    Chaos Conquers Smash!

Character Name

Chaos

Home Game/Series: Primal Rage

Series Icon: The round victory icon.

Role in home game(s):One of the three destructive beasts, he is an atagonist of Primal Rage. He is the mightiest witch doctor who wished to control the evolution of humanity and cast a spell. The spell backfired resulting in him turning into a beast forced to wallow in his own excrement for eons. During the Cataclysm, he prayed to the God of Carrion for release. To restore his greatneess, he had to battle and defeat all of his foes.

Gameplay Details

To avoid overuse, it can only be used three times per stock. On his HUD, an image of a hut will be divided into three sections that empty with each use.

In light of the Live A Live announcement, I wondered if anyone had considered putting characters from that game in Smash. Because of course they had, I found a whole moveset for a character -made in 2018, no less. Unfortunately, it's a SUPER ULTRA GIGA spoiler for Live A Live, so don't look if you don't want to be spoiled for the remake: Oersted.

I think it looks really cool. I love the idea of a trailer that has Oersted announced, and people think he's a Fire Emblem MC or something, and then he's actually the main villain and he starts summoning a T-Rex, a giant toad, a martial artist, a giant bird Buddha statue, a bandit with a gatling gun, a digital demon head, and Sagat from Streets, and then he ends the world with his Final Smash.

I'm back, after a bunch of distractions/laziness. While a few other movesets I've been working on back then are likely gonna be left untouched, a new wave of inspiration flashes thanks to a certain infamous something experiencing a revival, so a moveset for them will be made soon.

Regarding Brawlfan1's Cynthia moveset video, I earlier attempted to make a standalone moveset for one of her Pokémon way before the video was posted, with the following being my unfinished moveset I've tried a hand at (it'll probably remain unfinished now). I was going for an unconventional Stone Wall type of moveset for the Mon.

    My highly unfinished Spiritomb moveset

Spiritomb

The Forbidden Pokémon. Spiritomb is made up of 108 spirits

Gameplay Data

Attributes:

  • Speed
  • Weight: Very lightweight. More-so than Pichu. (Yes, seriously...)
  • Frame data notes:

Movement Abilities:

  • Crouch: Spiritomb's spirit body hides into the Keystone while the "face cracks" give off a purple glow (at least for the default color).
  • Swimming: They'll instantly sink into the water once submerged due to the Keystone weighing them down, though they can attempt to instantly jump or up special to alleviate this.

Special properties:

  • Spectral Body: Spiritomb has effectively two separate hurt-boxes that function differently from one another. There's the body of swirling spirits that can only be harmed by attacks that are considered "elemental" () whereas most physical attacks (with some possible exceptions) go through. And there's Keystone, which is the smaller main body that's harder to hit due to its size but is consistently vulnerable.

Move list:

  • Neutral
    • Jab:
    • Dash Attack:
    • Get-up Attack:
    • Ledge:

  • Throws
    • Grab: Psychic Grab.
    • Pummel: Psychokinetic shock.
    • Forward:
    • Back:
    • Up:
    • Down: Dream Eater to damage the foe and heal Spiritomb a tad. Afterwards the foe will be left on the floor like Snake's down throw.

  • Tilts
    • Forward: Spirit body forms a body-encompassing spectral razor-sharp mouth that clamps down.
    • Up: Spectral body forms a tornado that attacks from front to back and all above.
    • Down: A shadow attacks from below in front to trip up opponents. Can only hit foes that are standing on the ground.

  • Smashes
    • Forward:
    • Up: Dark Pulse aimed above.
    • Down:

  • Aerials
    • Neutral: Faces towards the camera as it's spirit body flares outward in a fiery manner to deal multi-hitting damage.
    • Forward:
    • Back:
    • Up:
    • Down: Takes a page out of Piranha Plant's move list and stomps it's Keystone body downward in the same manner, which can of course spike.

  • Specials
    • Neutral
Will-O-Wisp: Fires a slow blue flame projectile with slight homing properties forward, which'll cause flinching damage at worst and inflict a status similar to the Burn in the Pokémon games. This status will inflict damage at a slow rate while reducing the damage output and launch power of the foe.
    • Side
Sucker Punch: Flings a shadowy punch forward that deals hard-hitting damage
    • Up
      :
    • Down
Hypnosis: Sends out hypnotic waves forward a short distance that'll inflict foes with sleep, though only if they aren't shielding or facing away from Spiritomb.

Final Smash: (name)

  • (description). and upon reaching 108% of damage (because of course) the foe will be instant KO-ed.

I wonder if I have my own issues with complexity. Aside from Mii Magician, I noticed Tails is the closest I have to a character where each special does exactly one thing, and even then his neutral special can be used two ways. Maybe I should change it so he only has the homing functionality. And with Agumon, I might want to reassess how digivolution works.

Oh, I guess Tabuu's was simple, too.

Still, I'm pretty happy with all the movesets I've made. 21 characters (31 counting Agumon and Eevee's evolutions), and each one is unique, and hopefully would be fun.

After watching this video, I'm debating making a Smash moveset for Shadow...

It'd be easy enough to go...

  • Neutral Special: Homing attack
  • Forward Special: Chaos Spear
  • Up Special: Teleport
  • Down Special: Chaos Control (Witch Time equivalent)
  • Fighter Ability: Chaos Warp (Bat Within/Foresight equivalent)

Then just round out physical moves using Shadow's moves from Sonic Battle.

I started this a long time ago and finally (mostly) finished it. I might edit it later to add more specific references to his videos, but this is something. I really wanted to do a Mighty Glacier character.

Robbaz fists his way to victory!
  • Franchise: YouTube
  • English Voice Actor: Robbaz
  • Palettes: Robbaz is represented by the artwork in his channel icon:
    • Brown leather, dark gray helmet, gold adornments.
    • Blue leather, dark gray helmet, turquoise adornments.
    • Reddish brown leather, copper helmet, red adornments.
    • Brown leather, turquoise helmet, green adornments.
    • Black leather, black helmet, red adornments.
    • Purple leather, purple helmet, pink adornments.
    • Tan leather, white helmet, yellow adornments.
    • All gold outfit.
  • Stats: MIGHTY GLACIER ALL THE WAY. Robbaz delights in being slow, heavy, and powerful. He is about Ganondorf’s size, but just a little slower and stronger.
  • Entrance: Robbaz rides in on the cart seen at the beginning of Skyrim.
  • Idle Animation: Robbaz swings his fists idly. Eventually, he sits down at a computer desk to edit his videos.
  • Victory Poses:
    • Robbaz sits on a throne as someone puts a crown with the Swedish flag colors (blue and yellow) on his head.
    • Robbaz points at the viewer like Uncle Sam, saying “Become a viking today.”

Moveset

  • Jab: Robbaz does two large punches
  • Dash: Robbaz does “The Grinder” (a rapid, circular motion with his fists) a few times as he slides to a stop.
  • Tilts
    • F-Tilt: Robbaz jabs with his elbow.
    • U-Tilt: Robbaz throws a hook punch.
    • D-Tilt: Robbaz slams down with both fists.
  • Grabs/Throws
    • Grab: Robbaz grabs the enemy with the grappling hook from Just Cause 3.
    • Pummel: Robbaz punches the enemy.
    • F-Throw: Robbaz swings them around 360° and throws them forward.
    • B-Throw: Robbaz swings them around 360° and throws them backwards.
    • U-Throw: Robbaz heaves and throws them upwards with a “Shwup!”
    • D-Throw: Robbaz headbutts the enemy, knocking them down and forward.
  • Aerials
    • Nair: Robbaz does a split in midair.
    • Fair: Robbaz does three small punches.
    • Bair: Robbaz claps his hands behind him.
    • Uair: Robbaz waves a Swedish flag.
    • Dair: Robbaz T-poses.
  • Smash Attacks:
    • Side Smash: Robbaz summons Oslo the bear, who does a big swipe with his paw.
    • Up Smash: Robbaz does a large uppercut.
    • Down Smash: Robbaz flexes his muscles.
  • Special Moves:
    • Neutral Special: Cooking with the Kock: (NOTE: “Kock” is Swedish for “chef.”) Robbaz toils away at a stove for a few seconds and then produces a certain food. The food is different depending on how long you charge it.
      • 0-3 seconds: Swedish Meatballs. Robbaz flings a pan of Swedish meatballs, which go flying in various directions and bounce around two times before they disappear. Each meatball causes 1-2% damage.
      • Will add more later.
    • Side Special: Murd3r Claus: Robbaz puts on a Santa hat and pulls out a minigun from Hitman. There are three charge levels for this move. On level 1, Robbaz shoots 6 bullets. On level 2, he shoots 12, and on level 3, he shoots 18. Each bullet does 2-3% damage.
    • Up Special: Flying Moo-Moos: Robbaz summons a spinning windmill blade from Just Cause 3. It has three blades, and each blade has a cow tethered to it, with Robbaz riding on one of the cow’s backs. The cows cause contact damage. If you press B again, or wait 3 seconds, Robbaz will be launched off in the direction he’s currently facing. You have to time it right to avoid being launched in an unwanted direction.
    • Down Special: Walrus: Robbaz climbs on the back of his pet Horker, Walrus. You can move left and right with Walrus, but you cannot jump. If you’re in the air when you use this, Walrus will do a Shockwave Stomp when he hits the ground. Walrus causes contact damage while moving, but if he takes 30% damage, he will stop and cry for 5 seconds, leaving Robbaz vulnerable to attacks. The move is canceled if Robbaz is hit, or if the player presses Down B again. (Pressing Down B doesn’t work while Walrus is crying.)
    • Final Smash: Dental Appointment: Robbaz grabs an opponent close to him, and then unleashes a barrage of punches while saying "Dental appointment" repeatedly.
  • Taunts:
    • “Hello!”
    • “Glor-i-ous!”
    • Robbaz pulls out an unconscious NPC from a random game and uses it as a Dead Guy Puppet before punching it in the face.

Other

  • Codec
    • Snake: Colonel, there’s this strange man who thinks it’s still the Viking age.
    • Colonel: Oh, damn. That’s Robbaz, King of Sweden.
    • Snake: What? I’ve seen the king of Sweden, and it’s not that guy.
    • Colonel: He may not officially be a king, but I wouldn’t say that to his face. He may not have political power, but he’s got enough physical power for a hundred men. He cooks some mean Swedish meatballs too.
    • Snake: So what you’re saying is, I’m in for a tough fight?
    • Colonel: Exactly. But who knows? Maybe when you’re done, he’ll let you have a taste of his cooking.
  • Palutena's Guidance
    • Pit: Hey, it’s one of those sailor guys with the horns!
    • Palutena: This is Robbaz, a powerful Viking who calls himself the King of Sweden.
    • Viridi: “Powerful” is right! Look at those pecs!
    • Palutena: Indeed. Robbaz is a dangerous opponent with some unusual tricks up his sleeve.
    • Pit: So how do I stop him?
    • Palutena: Robbaz hits hard, but he’s not very fast or light. You, Pit, are lightweight and quick enough to counter him. Stay on your feet and watch out for his attacks. Good luck.

I just had to do a moveset for my new favorite Cuphead character!

    Esther Winchester has the moo-ves!
NOTE: For the best experience, it is highly recommended that you play this in a new tab while reading.

  • Franchise: Cuphead
  • English Voice Actor: April Winchell would be perfect.
  • Palettes:
    • Brown fur, yellow shirt/shoes, light blue hat, white pants.
    • Orange fur, red shirt/shoes, pink hat, white pants.
    • Brown fur, dark green shirt/shoes, yellow hat, light green pants.
    • Gray fur, dark blue shirt/shoes, light blue hat, purple pants.
    • White fur with black spots, red shirt/shoes, tan hat, tan pants.
    • White fur with brown spots, pink shirt/shoes, purple hat, white pants.
    • Dark gray fur, red shirt/shoes, black hat, light gray pants.
    • Light blue fur, silver shirt/shoes, gold hat, white pants.
  • Stats: Esther's normal form is a Jack of All Stats, similar in weight, speed, and strength to Mario or Luigi. Her sausage form (see Down Special) is a Fragile Speedster, moving as fast as Sonic's top running speed or faster, but incredibly lightweight.
  • Entrance: Esther rides in on her rolling saloon.
  • Idle Animation: Esther kicks the dust backwards like a bull about to charge.
  • Victory Poses:
    • Esther rides off into the sunset.
    • Esther swings on a chandelier.

Moveset

  • Jab: Esther does two punches, then quickly gets down on her hands, turns around, and kicks with her legs like a bucking bronco.
  • Dash: Esther swings her lasso in the air and takes three more steps before coming to a stop.
  • Tilts
    • F-Tilt: Esther jabs with her elbow.
    • U-Tilt: Esther throws her hat up.
    • D-Tilt: Esther does a low kick.
  • Grabs/Throws
    • Grab: Esther grabs the opponent with her lasso.
    • Pummel: Esther whacks the opponent with a snake oil bottle.
    • F-Throw: Esther kicks the opponent away.
    • B-Throw: Esther yanks the lasso to make the opponent spin rapidly, then catches them with one arm as if they were doing a tango, then throws them backwards.
    • U-Throw: A cactus quickly grows below the opponent. The opponent does a Pain-Powered Leap.
    • D-Throw: Esther does a quick square dance with the opponent before throwing them forward.
  • Aerials
    • Nair: Esther raises her head and moos.
    • Fair: Esther punches twice.
    • Bair: Esther swings her lasso backwards.
    • Uair: Esther’s horns briefly extend upward.
    • Dair: Esther kicks down three times.
  • Smash Attacks:
    • Side Smash: Esther’s rolling saloon rides in a circle around her.
    • Up Smash: Esther swings her vacuum cleaner's handle upwards.
    • Down Smash: A safe falls right in front of Esther.
  • Special Moves:
    • Neutral Special: Snake Oil Shot: Esther pulls out two snake oil bottles and shoots them like guns. Snakes made of oil shoot out and move horizontally until they reach a certain distance. The snakes go through enemies and walls, and they can cause multiple hits if an enemy gets caught in one.
    • Side Special: Vacuum Gun: Esther pulls out a vacuum cleaner. Similar to K. Rool's Neutral Special, it sucks up anything or anyone nearby and shoots them out.
    • Up Special: Vulture Vehicle: Esther gets on the back of a vulture, which flies up for a few seconds. You can control it with left and right. This move does not cause contact damage, but if you press B while flying, the vulture will drop a stick of dynamite. The dynamite makes a very small explosion that causes little damage, but it can be spammed. Hitting the vulture will cancel this move.
    • Down Special: Get Smoked: Esther gets sucked into her vacuum and cooked alive, turning into a creature made of sausage links. In this new form, Esther is weaker, but much, much faster. She has a new, smaller moveset in this form:
      • Jab: Esther does some rapid slaps with her sausage arms..
      • Dash: Esther rolls into a circle.
      • Aerial: Esther flaps with her arms and floats upwards. Great for recoveries.
      • Smash: Esther swings her head.
      • Special: Esther spits out a steak, which floats forward in a wavy pattern until it hits something or someone.
      • Down Special: Esther goes back in the vacuum and returns to normal form.
    • Final Smash: CAN You Survive?: Esther climbs into a giant sausage can which floats in the middle of the stage. Two long sausage strings that stretch across the screen emerge from the can. One string rotates around in a circle, while the other one is controlled by the player. This lasts for ten seconds, then everything goes back to normal.
  • Taunts:
    • Esther rings a cowbell.
    • Esther stomps on a can of sausages and rubs it into the ground.
    • Esther blows a raspberry.

Other

  • Codec
    • Snake: Colonel, am I seeing things? This cowgirl… is an actual cow.
    • Colonel: That, Snake, is Esther Winchester, a gunslinging outlaw from Inkwell Isle.
    • Snake: An outlaw, huh? I’ve stopped a lot of criminals, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one who thinks they’re in a Western movie.
    • Colonel: Don’t be fooled by her goofy appearance. She has some dangerous attacks that can really get your goat.
    • Snake: Was that… a joke?
    • Colonel: Maybe. Just don’t keep horsing around.
    • Snake: Hey, don’t have a cow.
  • Palutena's Guidance
    • Pit: Aww! It’s a cow with a funny hat!
    • Palutena: This is Esther Winchester. She is an infamous cowgirl who has done battle with Cuphead.
    • Viridi: I wonder how I would look with one of those hats!
    • Pit: It looks like she wants to fight. What do I do?
    • Palutena: Esther’s speed, strength, and weight are mostly average, but she has some unusual attacks that can catch you off guard. Be ready for anything!

Bump. I'm working on a moveset for Tat, but I need help.

One of Tat's most notable features is the ability to split into two copies of herself, each with a mind of its own and a different personality. I'm trying to figure out how to work this into the moveset.

I previously did a moveset for Pon and Con, and one of their main moves was the ability to split apart from each other, with the clone moving in the opposite direction from the player character.

I don't want to copy this gimmick exactly, but I'm not sure how else Tat's splitting ability should work here. There are two other ideas I came up with:

  1. Tat's copies just stick together, like the Ice Climbers. I feel like this would be boring, and it wouldn't make much sense since Tat's copies in the original game have different personalities.
  2. The player controls one copy of Tat, while the other is CPU controlled, and it just goes off and does its own thing. I'm sure this would be very hard to program, though, and I feel like the player should have some control over the other copy.

I haven't played the particular game that Tango is from, but still... robo kitty. :D

I appreciate that you're trying to remain within reason when it comes to programming even for your hypotheticals.

If they have different minds and personalities, I think the second of your two options would be more appropriate.
If being two distinct people is a major part of how they fight, then I think maybe it'd be more fitting to have the entire character revolve around being a duo, with most but not all of the moves being combination attacks, but not exactly the same repeated attack. So, that'd be something different from both Ice Climbers and Rosalina & Luma.

     Cuphead goes for broke!
Note: All of Cuphead's projectiles count as energy projectiles. Play against Mother characters at your own risk.

  • Jab 1, 2, 3: A punch-punch-headbutt combo.
  • Forward Tilt: A slap with his straw hand
  • Dash Attack: A roll similar to Ms. Chalice's dodge roll.
  • Up Tilt: A lobber shot. If it doesn't hit, the shot will bounce in place for a few seconds. Using the move while a shot exists deletes the old shot.
  • Down Tilt: Slap the ground with straw hand.

  • Neutral Air: A parry. Deflects projectiles.
  • Forward Air: A dash. Using the move halts Cuphead's vertical momentum.
  • Back Air: A roundabout shot that boomerangs forward if it doesn't hit anything and can be angled. Using the move while a shot exists deletes the old shot.
  • Up Air: A trio of Twist Up shots. Using the move again deletes old shots.
  • Down Air: A drill kick similar to Sally Stageplay's.

  • Forward Smash: A Charge shot.
  • Up Smash: Radial Burst.
  • Down Smash: A Cyclone Spiral that orbits horizontally, hitting in front then in back.

  • Neutral Special: A Peashooter shot. Hold to shoot repeatedly.
  • Side Special: A Jumbo Rebound shot that hits multiple times and boomerangs back to Cuphead. This move cannot be used if a shot already exists.
  • Up Special: A Kablooey shot that flies in a high arc and bounces when it hits the ground.
  • Down Special: A P. Turret shot that periodically fires at the closest opponent and can be parried to send it flying at them and gain some height. In the air, Cuphead will fire it downwards, letting him nair it to recover. He must touch the ground to use it again.

  • Pummel: A Chaser shot.
  • Forward Throw: A good ol' boot.
  • Back Throw: A throw backwards.
  • Up Throw: A throw upwards.
  • Down Throw: Hold the opponent down and let loose an Electro-Bolt.

  • Final Smash: Energy Beam

While I neglected making movesets, I at least have one in the works that i wish to release soon. Hopefully it's done by October 28. note

What does WITWIS stand for? I looked online, and the closest I could find is "Where In the World is Carmen Sandiego", and given the context it doesn't seem like you're talking about my Carmen Sandiego moveset.

...the stream is still going. It's been 7.5 hours.

I might not be familiar with whatever reasons you mean, actually. But that's neither here nor there. You can DM me if you think I need to know. And that, as they say, is that.
