Inspired by this thread, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.
The sandbox for this project is located at Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.

Foung in Hereditary, as a Never Trust a Trailer sub-bullet:
Yikes. That whole page needs some serious clean-up. Never trust a trailer has three bullets when one would do, and the entire page has way too many entries that are completely spoiled out, and it even features the old dramatic "''horrible, horribly subverted" for certain tropes, complete with unnecessary bold inflation.
I would honestly cut the Never Trust a Trailer entry. The trailers for Hereditary kept it's biggest twists and themes secret, but I wouldn't say it crossed the line into deliberately misleading.
Is Michael Bay okay to have ?
It's funny sure. But an entire page saying the guy is the worst is excessive.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."That's putting aside that a Quotes page should probably have Quotes from the person, and not just a random collection of quotes about them.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooope!
I dont even like his movies and I still think that page should burn lol.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.A24 does have notoriously awful ad campaign managers, so it's not entirely off the mark. The problem with Hereditary's was more that it made the film look like a non-stop Exorcist style horror film full of constant scares, but then the actual movie was a slow paced Psychological Horror that focused far more on subtle fears. The V Vitch and The Lighthouse had similar marketing problems too.
(x4) I feel it should be sent to the Cut List because it's just complaining.
This entry on Finding Nemo isnt awful but it is there solely to complain and it even comes with Natter. Actual Natter
- DVD Commentary: While the audiovisual commentary track was an interesting concept, by the time you get to the second or third behind the scenes segment interrupting the movie you can see why future films do not use the technique.
- They do it better in the Blu-Ray edition of Toy Story 3, where the video actually stays in the frame in a picture-in-picture.
Bumping this again because I while I got a response for it, I don't think it will fully slove the issue and I think a rewrite of it would be better.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/ABringing this up from TV Strikes. This entry is pretty complainy, especially the second bullet point.
- South Park carried on and bashed the strike in one episode, in which the World Canadian Bureau (WGA) encourages Canadians to strike for "more money". Many animated programs, including South Park, were written under a different union than the WGA. (IATSE covers the writers on most animated series. This is a point of contention between the WGA and IATSE.)
- The ironic part of the episode was Kyle's episode-ending speech about how people shouldn't strive to get money from unproven revenue sources—in the case of the episode, online content. That summer, Trey Parker and Matt Stone had just inked a deal to stream South Park episodes online, with ad content, which was estimated to bring them $75 million over the next four years. So it's either Hypocritical Humor, or just plain hypocrisy. Your choice. (The stupid part is that DVDs are very reliable cash cows and people working on the Internet can make a living.)
(x3) The first thing that comes to mind is cutting the sub-bullet because I don't feel it adds anything (sans complaining) to the example.
I'd cut the sub-bullet because I feel it only adds complaining to the example.
I just ran into Recap.Star Trek S 3 E 9 The Tholian Web, and...well, I know it's a third-season episode of TOS, but this is Television Without Pity-level snark. It's very 2008, and not in a good way.
online since 1993 | huge retrocomputing and TV nerd | lee4hmz.info (under construction) | heapershangout.comQuotes.The Emoji Movie seems to be pretty much nothing but complaining. Should we delete it?
Why are there even quotes about the movie and not from the movie? This isn't a review page.
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanupso many TOS episode recaps are trying so hard with the snark. also the jokes about Kirk sleeping with anything that moves when nothing onscreen is even suggesting that, make me uneasy personally.
I cut up one dozen new men and you will die somewhat, again and again.(x3) I think it can be sent to the Cut List for the reason you stated and because there are no quotes from the flick itself.
I cleaned "The Tholian Web". Is it better now?
Also, I found this on WMG.Minecraft:
I'm not sure where else to put this so I'm asking here. This is under Overshadowed by Controversy in YMMV.Poppy Playtime.
- Yet another controversy soon added itself: YouTuber Ekrcoaster pointed out some uncanny similarities between Poppy Playtime and his own game. Then it was revealed that the latter had been bullied in the past by MOB Games' CEO and his brother. Said bullying was so bad that Ekrcoaster was almost driven to suicide and had to go through psychological therapy.
A while ago, I removed this example under the edit reason of the plagiarism accusations not being substantiated. More specifically, that the similarities listed by Ekrcoaster are in no way unique to Venge (the game Poppy Playtime allegedly copied) and are, in fact, things you could find in tons of horror games, especially indie ones.
Additionally, both Poppy Playtime and Venge have evidently taken inspiration from Bendy and the Ink Machine with their premises and character designs. So is this actually a case of plagiarism or is it a case of two creators drawing from the same source?
Either way, the above Overshadowed by Controversy example was re-added recently, and when somebody edited in a portion that made the example sound more neutral, it was deleted. Presumably because Examples Are Not Arguable.
However, I believe the example as written falls into the same trap at best and is just Flame Bait at worst. Unless it can be objectively proven that Poppy Playtime was a spiteful attempt by the devs to profit off of their bullying victim's creation or that Ekrcoaster was mistaken in believing so, I think that portion is best removed to prevent arguments over whether or not the allegations are true.
What are your thoughts?

Ryoko. To me at least, the similarities sound like coincidences due to being inspired by the same game. I also feel it's noteworthy that this is the first time I've heard someone say that about Poppy Playtime so I don't feel it counts as Overshadowed by Controversy, though I might be wrong.
EDIT:I think that can be cut for complaining.

I mean, I won't say that it's a major controversy (more people care about the NFT stuff), but does it matter if the claims are substantiated? A controversy is a controversy even if the cause of the controversy is a lie.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessIn my experience, it was a pretty big deal on Twitter and YouTube for a bit, but it seems as though many didn’t take the allegations seriously for the reasons I mentioned above and the controversy more-or-less died down in favor of the NFTs and the bullying. But if the claims of plagiarism are indeed not a major controversy (if it ever was), does it still count as Overshadowed by Controversy?
Though, the biggest issue I take with this entry nowadays is how the language implies that the allegations are true when that hasn’t been proven. If it still works as an example of Overshadowed by Controversy regardless, I think it should at least be rewritten so it sounds more neutral.

Ryoko. Here's the page image for Family Guy:
I've seen this meme before and it's mostly used by detractors of the show. Plus, the caption strikes me as complainy.
See, we were thinking "wow that sure is 100% reliant on text that's too small to read". Which is also a reason to pull.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Bring it to Image Pickin, we can't do images here.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure Pureness
In September 2021, I (under my old account, I should add) made an ATT thread (which I don't remember the name of) seeking to bring light on some heavy complaining, including a few death threats, on Haiku. So Bad Its Horrible. Now I'm wondering if there was some more heavy complaining I missed back then. I honestly can't tell.
