I found this on the Animated Film subpage for Unintentionally Sympathetic:

• Reeka and Draggle, the two antagonist daughters of Hydia in My Little Pony: The Movie (1986). Sure they're evil, but they have a seriously abusive mother, genuinely sympathetic qualities, and far more developed personalities than the really boring titular ponies.

The last part about the ponies being boring strikes me as a huge complaint against the main protagonists. Can that be reworded or cut entirely?

That sounds more like Rooting for the Empire.

I disagree because it doesn't discuss rooting for them.

Just cut that last part both on that page and a repeated example on the film's YMMV page, but now I'm wondering if this example fits at all since the example doesn't explain what their sympathetic qualities are.

From Memes.RWBY, the following are complaints masquerading as memes. In some cases, they may even fall foul of the ROCEJ.

Important note: I am not bringing "negative memes" here, I'm specifically bring these because their intent is complaining, not recording genuine memes.

• Ground Rules, G R O U N D R U L E S ^Explanation  Originating from the subreddit, one user in particular posted a link to a FatManFalling review. As said reviewer is already frowned upon by the Subreddit, the user received flak and took it... not well. In an attempt to get people to stop criticizing them, they posted 16 ground rules which made the user appear to be very smug and incapable of criticism. The cherry on top was the end where he accused another user of being a pedophile, a rapist, was raped by his parents as a child, and pirates videogames. Said user gilded him and the hilarity of it all propelled it into meme status.
  • I think this one enters ROCEJ: it's complaining about a forum trying to control discourse about a certain subject, and reeks of drama importation.
• "Looks like they've been taking tips from ArcSys." ^Explanation  Because of Rooster Teeth collaborating with Arc Systems in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, people have stated that they've been using their ideas. This is due to the fact that Monty was a fan of BlazBlue, pointing out many similarities of the RWBY cast to the BlazBlue cast (Such as Ruby or Qrow to Ragna, Weiss or Adam to Jin, Yang to Bullet, Roman to Hazama and Penny to the Nu-13 just to name a few), the promotional poster looking similar to BlazBlue's boxart and the Volume 5 intro having action that would not be out of place in BlazBlue's opening cinematics. The outfits in Volume 7, which had them load up on belts didn't help, as BlazBlue (and it's sister series Guilty Gear) is known for the ridiculous amount of belts the character have.
  • There isn't a meme about RWBY and Blaz Blue having similarities, there has been discussion over similarities. Discussion doesn't equal meme.
• Where's Mercury? ^Explanation Since Volume 3, Mercury's screentime has largely been cut to a fraction of what it was, which given his badass status has just made his fans thirsty for him to have a proper comeback, especially since Mercury has yet to have had a proper fight scene since the transition to Maya. This has extended into RWBY: Amity Arena, a mobile game that very conspicuously had Mercury absent from the roster while one-off characters like Nolan and Flynt were in the game from launch (while significant villains like Cinder and Neo were also absent at launch, Cinder was quickly promised to arrive in an update while Neo was added in the December 2018 update). Prior to Mercury finally being added to the game in February 2019, his fans had taken to jokingly feigning anger whenever a new character was added post-launch that wasn't him.
  • This one might be salvageable. It's written as complaining about a favoured character not having the screentime fans want. However, there is a "Where's Mercury" based on his lack of screentime, which manifests in fanwork depicting other characters suddenly asking "Where's Mercury? when they realise Mercury hasn't been depicted with them. So, I think this can be rewritten.
• Things that will happen before a full Ruby and Blake conversation: ^Explanation Ruby and Blake have the least amount of dialogue and screentime together of any two members of Team RWBY, with the two's only serious conversation being the first time they met in Volume One. As the years have gone on, it's been common to joke that the two don't actually know each other or don't even know each other's names. Any time the two even talk to each other in a group scene is usally jokingly embraced by the Ladybug (Ruby/Blake) crowd, and almost every time someone asks "What would you like to see in the next Volume?" (or more darkly "What do you never see happening in the show?") one answer will always be "Ruby and Blake having a full conversation."
  • This isn't a meme. It's been a long-running discussion point in the fandom, but discussions aren't memes. The "more darkly" comment is all but admitting that this entry isn't a real meme and is more about the fandom's long-running complaint about their lack of on-screen interaction.
• "Neo is the most popular character because she doesn't talk." ^Explanation  Even among people who hate the show, Neo is usually cited as a highlight due to fight scenes, design and her cocky demanour, to the point where it can be argued that Neo is the most popular character in the entire series. It's common to joke that she's also the most popular character because her lack of dialogue means that she can't be ruined by having to actually speak in a show often criticised for weak character writing.
  • Although the entry admits that it's about the hatewatchers rather than the fandom, it's avoiding admitting that this isn't a meme, it's a Damned by Faint Praise complaint about the show's writing and dialogue by targeting the one character that has none because she's mute.

From She-Hulk: Attorney at Law:

• Protagonist-Centered Morality: Jen demonstrates a smidge of this later on in the series. She is very upset at Man-Bull and El Aguilar for damaging her car while they are fighting each other, yet doesn't hesitate at all to throw someone else's car at Daredevil during their fight. While you can argue for extenuating circumstances, it still comes off a a bit as this. We care about Jen's car getting smashed because she is the hero, but a stranger's car is just an after thought.

I'm not sure this counts or not as this is just a common thing in Superhero work. But even if it does, his reads like an excuse to complain about Jen. Though that could just be me.

I'm unsure if it's complaining, though I feel the entry is more so Hypocrite. This is because it doesn't really detail the story depicting a protag and/or her allies' action(s) as alright while condemning the same thing when someone else does it.

Both the They Copied It, So It Sucks! and Follow the Leader examples cover the "this is a Spongebob knockoff" aspect quite well. Also, talking about a work's reception in the description on the main page is frowned upon.

I'm pretty sure that song isn't meant to be taken any more seriously than most Christmas songs about kids wanting ridiculous things for Christmas.
