This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

No Cutscene Inventory Inertia's quote has too much fluff. Should I trim it so that it starts at the "yes"?
I'd like to apologize for all this.Continue Your Mission, Dammit! has an absurdly long quote.
What about this one, from the quotes page?

The quote on We All Live in America doesn't seem to be about a foreign culture being written like the show's country of origin
—signature not found—It might be a bit minor, but would it be okay to change the Transformation Name Announcement quote from:
To:
It's from the same scene, but I think this is a better demonstration of the trope. The current quote is more of a joke about why he does it.
The quote on Fangirl is... um, basically not a quote.
No strong opinions about what to replace it with, beyond "literally anything else".
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.I support its removal. Potholes are not allowed in headline quotes.
No idea on a potential replacement. I've Seen It a Million Times, but nothing comes across my mind right now.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300There is a quotes subpage, but none of those really stand out as describing the trope. One of the YTAS ones, maybe, but even they're still kinda... complainy.

Fangs of the relentless thousandWar Reenactors's quote is apparently from Spongebob but has no source.
Seconded on the No Cutscene Inventory Inertia quote needing to be replaced.
Not only is it overly long, the quote in question is describing an aversion of the trope, not the trope itself. Should definitely be changed.
I've added the source.
Regarding the fangirl page quote, the only thing that comes to my mind is from Friends:
Chandler: Rhythm?
Joey: No! My first fan mail!
Monica: [Reading the letter] "Dear Dr. Drake Ramoray, know that I love you and would do anything to have you." Gosh. "Your not-so-secret admirer, Erika Ford." Oooh, wait! "P.S., Enclosed, please find 14 of my eyelashes."

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I do not think the quote for Leaning on the Fourth Wall works as an example. This is because it is identical to the quote featured in Lampshade Hanging, a trope where its page explicitly says not to get the two tropes confused. It fits better on Lampshade Hanging because the context of it is "something that is so strange it threatens to break the Willing Suspension of Disbelief" as described there. For the context of something seeming perfectly normal when said out loud, I thought this quote would be the best fit for a replacement. Other suggestions are welcome:
"I expect what you're not aware of would fill several books, Dursley," growled Moody.

Worker Unit's quote is unsourced, and doesn't seem to be from a particular work.

That looks good. Get rid of the pothole though.

Lt Fedora just changed the Rose quote on the Titanic characters page from "I'll never let go. I promise." to "I don't see what all the fuss is about. It doesn't look any bigger than the Mauretania."
What do you guys think? I think it should be changed back since the new quote shows a more spoiled side of Rose's character while the former quote is more encompassing.
Check out my forum game: Rate the above YMMV.I kinda prefer the new one, as it showcases her personality early in the movie, and everybody already knows the "I'll never let go" quote anyway.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Hello. I'd like to request a quote change for Oddly Small Organization. I've always found the current quote there to be a bit lacking since without the added context of the line below I doubt you'd be able to tell what the quote is supposed to be referring to. Recently I've come across a quote I feel summarizes the trope better from episode 13 of the Japanese TV show Blue SWAT.
Please let me know what you think and which quote you think works better.
Just imagine something here.Slow-Paced Beginning has two quotes. I prefer the second. What does everyone else think?
Fangs of the relentless thousandThe quote for Grandfather Paradox is pretty damn long, as it's longer than the page image.
Twilight: I explained this Rarity. Travel back along a given time line can't be possible, because it could violate causality — do you know about the Grandmother Paradox?
Rarity: No.
Twilight: Suppose you travelled back in time to a point before you, and your parents, were born, and you killed your maternal grandmother...
Rarity: Why would I ever want to do that? My grandmother is a delightful lady. Even if she does insist on wearing those dreadful frocks with such old fashioned sleeves.
Twilight: But hypothetically — suppose you did — by accident —
Rarity: I would have trouble — she's a tough old mare.
Twilight: Yes, but, theoretically you could do it — when she was young. But then she would never give birth to your mother, so you would never be born — so you could never go back in time to kill her — it's a paradox — see!
Anyone have any ideas for a replacement, or a way to trim this down?

That’s good.

What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
I amended the Dr. Oobleck line slightly to bring his name down to the source line, since that's how most single-line quotes are formatted. It now looks like this:
