A Gag Dub of The Room made by YouTube user SuperIdiotMan00. Watch it here.

This gag dub provides examples of:

  • American Accents: Johnny has an east-coast inflection, while Peter has a mild Southern drawl.
  • Bad Liar: Lisa. Others call her out on this constantly.
  • Boom, Headshot!: Chris R.'s offscreen death.
  • Character Exaggeration: Denny is much more childish and perverted, and Chris R. is even more angry and murderous.
  • Advertisement:
  • Cluster F-Bomb
  • Cross-Dressing Voices: All the female characters.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Claudette.
  • The Ditz: Several of the characters to varying extents, most notably Lisa. Special mention to when Johnny mistakes a flower shop for a fast-food restaurant.
  • Don't Explain the Joke: A failed innuendo by Mark, "These are plain chocolates right here, so if you want nuts in your mouth, it'll have to be my testicles!"
    Michelle: How tactful.
  • Fix Fic: A few plot elements from the original are given better continuity.
  • Guttural Growler: Chris R.
  • Hidden Depths: Denny after he is revealed to have stolen Chris R.'s drugs.
  • Hong Kong Dub: Depending on the scene, little to no attempt is made at proper lip syncing.
  • Implausible Deniability: Some time ago Lisa shit on her family's television and tried to blame it on their deceased cat.

  • Lampshade Hanging: Of several discrepancies in the original film, when they're not exaggerated.
  • Larynx Dissonance: Every female character, but especially Michelle. The coffee-shop clerk is a ridiculous falsetto.
  • No Indoor Voice: Denny in some scenes.
  • Talking to Himself: All the characters.
  • Vocal Evolution: In the first scene Denny's voice is soft and fairly baby-ish, for his next few scenes it's a high-key yell, and for the rest of the dub it's a more subdued and expressive version of the second voice.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Several characters to various extents, most notably Michelle.
