- What Could Have Been: Actor/director/writer Gérard Jugnot was the first to develop a third Asterix film, and planned to adapt Asterix in Spain. Those plans didn't pan out and Asterix at the Olympic Games was adapted instead. Jugnot didn't direct nor wrote it in the end, but he got a role in the following film, Asterix & Obelix: God Save Britannia.
