Go! Live Your Way (Spanish: Go! Vive a tu manera) is an Argentine musical TV series, released on Netflix in 2019. It's the second Argentine Netflix series after Edha.

Mia Caceres (Pilar Pascual) is a charismatic teenager who lives with her aunt, and loves singing and dancing. Her life changes when, after winning a scholarship, she starts attending the presitigious school Saint Mary. At the new school, Mia immediately finds new friends and many people who support her talent, but has to overcome a few obstacles, especially her jealous rival Lupe and her mother Mercedes (the principal of the school) who do everything possible to antagonize Mia, even trying to get her kicked out. On the other hand, Lupe's father Ramiro, who is also the owner of the school, is very caring and protective towards Mia, but he has something to hide about his relationship with Mia's mother in the past.

The show debuted on February 22, 2019 on Netflix. The second season was released on June 21, 2019. While a third season was initially announced in February 2020, it was later confirmed in August 2020 that the series had been cancelled.

Tropes:

  • Alpha Bitch: Lupe, the ruthless cheerleader who hates Mia. She has all the defining traits, including a Girl Posse, a rich and powerful family, and a Jerk Jock boyfriend. She used to be the most popular girl, before Mia came on the scene.
  • Always Someone Better: Mia, to Lupe. Most of the show is about Lupe being jealous because Mia always gets more attention than her, and because everyone likes Mia more than her. Given how Lupe acts towards everyone, this is hardly surprising.
  • Betty and Veronica:
    • Juanma is the Archie between the sweet and innocent Mia (Betty) and manipulative Alpha Bitch Lupe (Veronica).
    • Mia herself is the Archie between the nice Álvaro (Betty) and the self-centered Juanma (Veronica).
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: Lupe and and her mother Mercedes are the main antagonists. Lupe often uses her mother's power as the principal to give Mia a hard time.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing:
    • There are times where Lupe pretends to be friendly to Mia to manipulate her.
    • Ironically, Lupe often accuses Mia of being this, telling her that she is just a fake nice girl who likes to act innocent.
  • Boarding School: Saint Mary is a boarding school where Mia and the other students live.
  • Character Shilling:
    • Aside from Lupe, all the other characters constantly gush about how Mia is the most talented singer ever, the most amazing person ever, and how she makes everything better just with her presence.
    • Even Lupe's mother Mercedes, who hates Mia and is the only one on Lupe's side, is involved in Mia's shilling. In the season 2 finale, Mercedes tells her husband Ramiro that he should support his daughter Lupe, accusing him of favoring Mia just because she is "the talented, perfect girl loved by everyone".
  • Class Princess: Mia quickly becomes the star of the Go workshop, the main lead singer in the school competitions, and has two popular guys falling in love with her. She is also a sweet and friendly person who tries to see the good in everyone, and is even willing to be patient with Lupe.
  • Cut Short: The show was supposed to return for a third season, but it was cancelled after season 2, leaving many problems unresolved. Even the film Go! The Unforgettable Party, which takes place after season 2, lacks a conclusion, since it ends with Mia being still undecided between her two suitors.
  • Enemy Mine: Mia and Lupe occasionally sing and dance together, putting aside their rivalry.
  • Even Evil Can Be Loved: Lupe may be a cruel person much of the time, but her family (her parents and her half-brother Alvaro) make it clear that they still love her, and for all her faults, she loves them back.
  • Expy: Mia is this to other protagonists of Argentine series like Violetta or Luna, as the talented Naïve Newcomer whose family has a Mysterious Past, and is hated by the Alpha Bitch.
  • Innocent Beta Bitch: While Lupe is the Alpha Bitch, her two best friends Agustina and Sofia are slightly shallow, but still much nicer than her. In season 2, they both end up preferring Mia over Lupe, like everyone else.
  • Jerk Jock: At the beginning, Juanma is a rude basketball player who antagonizes his rival Alvaro, who is more of a Lovable Jock. Although Juanma later becomes a Jerk with a Heart of Gold.
  • Light Feminine and Dark Feminine: Sweet-natured blonde Mia (Light) and scheming dark-haired Lupe (Dark).
  • Like Brother and Sister:
    • Mia and Gaspar are lifelong best friends. At least they used to be, but after Mia starts attending the academy, they have many misunderstandings and eventually they both go their separate ways.
    • Mia's two best friends at the academy, Zoe and Simon, have a close platonic bond. Mia becomes this with Simon too.
  • Luke, I Am Your Father: Ramiro, father of Lupe and stepfather of Alvaro, is later revealed to be Mia's real father.
  • Nice Mean And In Between: Lupe and her Girl Posse. Sofia is the nicest and the most willing to befriend other people. Lupe is by far the meanest. Agustina is in-between, as she stays on Lupe's side until she goes too far.
  • Oblivious to Love: Mia remains oblivious to both Alvaro and Juanma being in love with her for a long time, until they both confess to her in season 2.
  • Secret Relationship: Zoe and Gaspar have a secret relationship in season 1, but it doesn't end well after Mia discovers the secret and Gaspar dumps Zoe.
  • Scholarship Student: Mia attends Saint Mary after winning a scholarship.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: Lupe is a conniving mean girl, while her brother Alvaro is a honest nice guy, despite being both raised in the same privileged family. While they aften argue, they still care for each other.
  • With Friends Like These...: Lupe is terrible to her childhood friends Agustina and Sofia, especially the latter. To the point that Sofia stops hanging out with Lupe and befriends Mia in season 2, and Agustina eventually does the same. They make peace with Lupe only after she apologizes.
