The turtles and Professor Honeycutt return to Dimension X and must prove their trustworthiness to the Utroms and obtain the second piece of the black hole generator.
- Accidental Misnaming: Mikey calls the Utrom the "Oolong."
- Aliens Speaking English: Queen Utrom is able to speak English even without her human suit.
- Pawn speaks with a French accent for some reason.
- BFG: Whereas most of the Utrom use the same laser rifles employed by Kraang Mooks, Bishop has what looks like a Laser Bazooka.
- Blade Brake: Raph uses his sais in this manner to avoid slipping off the Dracodroid's wing.
- Borrowed Catchphrase: Sal Commander, of all people, echoes Mikey's catchphrase in the heat of battle.Sal Commander: Booyakasha, indeed, Michelangelo!
- The Bus Came Back: First appearance of Bishop and the Kraang since Annihilation Earth.
- Chess Motifs: Pawn has the same designs the regular battledroids, spazzes out, and is the only one speaking in a non-American accent, but is still on the high council. Rook is deliberate, constantly referring to rigid policy. We see Bishop moving in mysterious ways, acting as a secret agent of sorts, later on. Knight was the greatest hero of their people. Queen is The Leader. There is no King revealed yet, if one exists at all.

- The turtles return to Dimension X and Mikey wears his savage costume.
- Leo tells the Utrom High Council about the first black hole generator fragment corrupting the Aeons.
- Evil Knockoff: Just as Bishop is revealed to be the original Norman, Rook is the original Irma. It's implied that Queen and Pawn were the original Campbell and Kraangdroid.
- Face Palm: Mikey and Sal Commander do this in unison in response to Raph and Mona's Sickeningly Sweethearts antics.
- Fallen Hero: Bishop reveals that Kraang Sub Prime used to be regarded as the Utroms' greatest hero.
- Foot Popping: From Raphael again, during kissy face time with Mona Lisa.
- Good Counterpart: The Utroms to the Kraang. Particularly Queen Utrom to Campbell, Rook to Irma, Pawn to the regular Kraangdroids and Bishop to Kraang Sub Prime. The regular Utroms are also use white versions of the Kraangdroids.
- My God, What Have I Done?: After hearing from Leo how the generator fragment they left the Aeons corrupted them, the Utrom High Council react in shock, clearly feeling this.

- Bishop has as a secret handshake with Professor Honeycutt.
- Sal Commander shares Mikey's annoyance with Raph and Mona Lisa's lovebird antics.
- Out of Focus:
- April and Casey get hit with this hard since someone has to stay on the ship and guard the first piece of the black hole generator. They don't even get any dialogue.
- To a lesser extent, the episode focuses on Raph (due to Mona Lisa's presence) and Mikey since they're in Dimension X, leaving Leo and Donnie out of the spotlight.
- Screaming Warrior: Michelangelo, to go along with his "Savage Mikey" persona.Raph: Enough with the savage yells!Mikey: Don't diss my sweet yells 'til you try it!
- Shout-Out: With those sunglasses and the arfiticial skin missing from half his Mobile-Suit Human's face, Bishop looks a whole lot like The Terminator.
- Slave Race: Kraang Prime used to be an Utrom until he discovered the Kraathatragon's mutagen, deformed himself into Kraang Prime and used his new psychic powers to mind control to convert most of the Utroms into Kraang.
- Theme Naming: Bishop introduces the rest of the Utrom Council who are named Pawn, Rook, and Queen. Put in Bishop and his reveal of Kraang Sub-Prime's former name as "Knight", and you have a chess theme. In the 03 series only a one off Mook referred to himself as Pawn, and otherwise Bishop was the only character with a chess name.
- Unusual Euphemism: "Kraang" continues to be used as an all-purpose curse word.Kraang Sub-Prime: Gimme a Kraangin' break!
- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: The Utroms don't seem to pay the least amount of attention to Mikey wearing one of their species' skull.
