After helping Fairy Tail fight demons in his hometown, Dante decides to join the chaotic guild, and upon being brought into their ranks, is challenged by three of their strongest members: Natsu, Gajeel, and Erza.
- Blood Knight: Dante fights against Natsu and later Gajeel, with all three clearly happy at the prospect. He also calls the round with Erza the most fun he's had in a while.
- Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Less in a minute after Dante comes into the guildhall he gets a glimpse of the various members antics. His fights with several of them also serve to showcase their competence, with Dante himself fitting the mold as well.
- Call-Back Upon Dante's first arrival at Magnolia, the Strongest Team tell him about parties like Fantasia Parade and Miss Fairy Tail contest from Battle for Fairy Tail arc. Natsu also mentions the Flower Viewing Bingo Tournament from episode Rainbow Cherry Blossom.
- The Casanova: Upon meeting Mirajane Straus, Dante acts like gentleman by kissing her hand, much to her amusement. And in his fight with Erza he actually flirts with her, to the watching Lucy and Gray's shock.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Each of Dante's fights barely last a minute, with the longest being his match with Erza, and he isn't even breathing hard after three rounds back to back.
- Defeating the Undefeatable: How everyone views Dante's defeat of Erza, even if it was just a sparring match.
- The Gadfly: After seeing Dante beat Natsu and Gajeel, Happy teases that Lucy should fight Dante next. She understandably freaks out and says she'd be slaughtered.
- I Shall Taunt You: Wouldn't be Dante if he didn't engage in some insults, albeit lighter and friendlier than usual since they're just sparring matches.
- Logical Weakness: Dante quickly realises Gajeel's Iron Dragon Scales make him more vulnerable to electricity, and exploits this to defeat him.
- Master Swordsman: Dante and Erza decide to settle their duel with swords only, and their display of skill and agility leaves everyone watching awestruck.
- Multi-Melee Master: Dante and Erza both get to display their proficiency with several weapons from their arsenal throughout the chapter.
- Mythology Gag:
- Happy proudly saying that Natsu, Gray, and Erza are the strongest team just like Phantom Lord episode.
- The other guild members reactions to the Strongest Team returning are the same as the canon episode Call of the Dragon.
- When selecting a surname, Dante chooses Redrave based on the alias Tony Redgrave that he used in the novel.
- Natsu's Big "SHUT UP!" accompanied punch to Gajeel while singing quotes lines from the Fairy Tail episode The Day of the Fateful Encounter. Likewise the rest of the guild brawl is lifted from the episode Home.
- No-Sell:
- When Dante uses Agni and Rudra against Natsu, the Dragon Slayer is able eat the former swords flames.
- Conversely, Gajeel tries to bite a chunk out of the Rebellion, only to damage his teeth instead. The sword being made of a special demonic metal makes such a thing a bad idea, surprising everyone watching that there is a metal Gajeel can't eat.
- The Worf Effect: Dante mopping the floor with several of Fairy Tail's strongest members firmly establishes how formiddable he is.
- Worthy Opponent: After their duel, Dante and Erza regard one another as this.
