I died 3 times waiting for Jonathan to meet his descendants (mainly Giorno) inside the turtle in Eyes Of Heaven, but it didn't happen, so here it is, in a fic of course!
— ShipperOfFiction, authoress of Jonathan Joestar, The First JoJo

"HE'S NOT DEAD OK! PRETEND NETYRI DIDN'T KILL HIM OK!"

"Also Hermione and Ginny were both 25 years old and NOT married to Ron and Harry because the epilogue at the end of the last book is STUPID and NEVER HAPPENED."

"I think both Katara and Aang deserve better than each other. So I am making my own fic to make the ending more palatable to myself and hopefully you guys too!"

"I have yet to see a fanfic that covers the entire war from beginning to end. This is my attempt to do that, and to do the War justice. It will have elements from the 50th, but it will be different, and a story that lives up to RTD's statements."
Sam Dunford, author of The Last Great Time War

The canon you are currently witnessing is experiencing a large amount of fail. Would you like to apply Fanfic?

"Fix-Fics are powerful things. They can plug plot holes that writers left behind, reverse head-slappingly stupid character decisions, develop characters who never got the screentime they needed. They can be better stories than the original. But it's something that requires an extreme amount of restraint to pull off well. Because otherwise, you end up like Sophis here; an oblivious, stubborn dreamer, fearful of change to her status quo and thinking she knows what's best for everyone...regardless of what those people actually think."
— Perry Martin, author of Freedom Dies With Me, in The Ballad of Meggy Spletzer

"Everything about Marcie’s suicide in this fic makes it quite clear that the cause wasn’t that Marcie couldn’t handle the death of her character (as was the case in the tract), but that she felt abandoned and possibly betrayed by someone who she considered a lifelong friend akin to a sister, a friendship that was sabotaged by means of Gina’s bad game mastering and eventual banishment from the game because Gina wanted Debbie and her attention all to herself."

"And Debbie’s eventual departure from Gina and her game in this fic is not the frightened flight from an evil religion that was depicted in the tract (“Don’t be stupid, Debbie!”), but a very real decision to sever her ties with a very bad friend whose jealousy and possessiveness led to the death of a very good friend; and the final scene where Debbie consigns her D&D materials to the church bonfire is very much an act of putting Gina and the game that played a key role in their relationship behind her, a game that no longer holds meaning or enjoyment for her without Marcie."

"All in all, this was a very good read, and a much better one than the Chick tract from which it was based."
Robert Bingham's comment on Whatever Happened to Elfstar?

What you're about to watch is not an overview and history of the First Order as it was, but rather our idea of what it could have been if, for whatever reason, the Templin Institute were put in charge of its development.

canon: they died
fanon: FUCK YOU
A reddit post on the differences between canon and fanon

"And now that the movie is basically over, I actually have one last thing that I'd like to change. But this isn't like any of the other rewrites that I've been suggesting in this video because this does not rely on changing the entire trilogy. If I was only allowed to change one single thing in this entire trilogy I would make one key modification. I would have killed Rey for good.

Kylo Ren sacrificing himself to save her is honestly the easy way out for this story. If you had to tell me "Okay, we need Kylo Ren to redeem himself how can we do it?" the easiest and most convenient way to do it is to give him a heroic sacrifice. It's lazy. It's something we've seen a million times before in Star Wars. A real redemption would be for him to constantly have to atone for the shit that he has done in his life leading up to this point. He's destroyed the Jedi Order, he's led to the death of all of his friends and family members; if you really want to give this man a redemption arc you should make it so that he has to atone for this shit for the rest of his life. He has to rebuild the Jedi Order that he himself destroyed. He has to finally acknowledge his legacy as a Skywalker. He's finally left with the lightsaber that he's been trying to claim for years... but at what cost? You can let Rey die as a super overpowered Jedi Jesus messiah so that Ben can continue her legacy. Previously, he wanted to let the past die. Now he has to pay the consequences for that. He now has to atone by building a new future. You see it's like poetry. It rhymes.

Because it makes no sense for Rey to go back to Tatooine. A planet she's never been to, has no connection to, has never been told about, to bury lightsabers that belong to someone else's family members, and see ghosts of people that she isn't related to and claim a name that isn't hers. Imagine if all of this happened with Ben. Just imagine how much more significant it would be. Rey dies as the real hero of the movie and Kylo Ren is left to kind of just accept the fact that he could have done better. And if the film ended with him. the title Rise of Skywalker would actually make a lot more sense.

Sage is frustrated as she's slowly been experiencing emotions that are getting in the way of her mission. She's beginning to question the orders given to her by Dr. Eggman, and the thought of disobeying her father is eating away at her. She runs every simulation she can to try and figure out why this is happening. Then it hits her: it's Sonic. Everything was fine until he showed up. It's all his fault.

Sage lashes out in a fit of despair and anger, cursing Sonic for ruining everything. Sonic doesn't waste time talking her down; she's hysterical and beyond reasoning. Sonic smirks and springs into action, and the battle ensues.

After the battle, Sage floats to the ground and falls to her knees, tears in her eyes. Her analytical mind fails her as she's overwhelmed by emotion. She's no longer the cold, soulless program she once was; just a lost little girl, alone and confused.

Sage slaps his hand away and continues to sob. "It… it hurts."

Sonic sighs and turns his back on Sage, eager to carry on with his adventure. Before he leaves, he looks over his shoulder at Sage, and smiles. "It's okay to be sad. It means you're alive."

As he runs off, Sage looks down at her hands. Sage was alive.
