Ayunda Risu
- DLC ExplanationRisu has a very wide vocal range, and any moment she uses a voice that isn't her usual one is treated like a DLC voicebank was used on her.
- OkaKoro's child Explanation Due to Risu's default voice sounding like Korone and her contralto sounding like Okayu, she is jokingly believed to be the child of the latter two. This was acknowledged during the 2020 Minecraft Sports Festival as Risu's Red Baron title was "OkaKoro's Child", later when she collaborated with Korone and confronted the latter about her "lineage"
, and again during a Fall Guys stream. - NNN ExplanationEver since her initiation of Non-stop Nut November in 2020 as a joking response to the usual meme of No-Nut November, fans have taken to linking nut-based jokes to Risu and claim that she grows more powerful in that particular month.
- Risu's Power ExplanationRelating to the above, it is often said that Risu becomes more powerful the closer to November it gets. Similarly, whenever she makes a particularly inappropriate remark, the comments will often be filled with remarks stating how powerful she is despite November not having arrived.
- Abunda Tisu ExplanationRisu had noted that a lot of comments in chat would misspell her name, calling her things such as "Ridu" and "Riau." This combined with Kobo mispronouncing her name in a similar way lead to even the clippers running with this, misspelling her name in the titles of clips.
Moona Hoshinova
- KSZK ExplanationDue to her dorm room being farther from the building's router than Risu and Iofi's rooms, it is apparent ever since her first stream that she has bad internet on par with early Watame's, to the point where Watame herself appropriates her "not my fault" catchphrase for Moona whenever she has to reconnect. Moona herself has even given the signature false apology for her poor connection. Thanks to the aforementioned events, fans have started using the term KSZK (an abbreviation derived from Watame's "Kusozako Connection" running gag) to denote stream connection issues. That being said, the viewers are generally forgiving, at least, as the Indonesian audience themselves know the pain of Indonesia's poor internet.
- Moona's English Class ExplanationIf Moona happens to be playing on the hololive JP Minecraft server (on- or off-stream) while the Japanese branch members are also on, her JP senpais are often drawn to have English text conversations with her, knowing she doesn't speak fluent enough Japanese. Due to how Moona's senpais don't speak perfect English however, she's found herself in humorous situations such as getting extorted of her lapis lazuli by Pekora and being made the CEO of Marine and Aqua's crew. Fan's have likened it to Moona giving out free English lessons or more humorously, a Random Event that can only be cleared by communicating in English.
- NPC Moona Explanation Due to Moona's Minecraft addiction, she ends up playing the game for hours on end even if she isn't streaming. This invariably leads to her becoming The Cameo when she appears during one of her JP senpai's Minecraft streams. Fans have referred to her near-permanent presence in the server as Moona being a Recurring Extra or a Non-Player Character, but only in the other talents' streams as this gag is never referenced within her own streams. Taken to a higher level when she once randomly showed up in a Russian VTuber's stream.
Airani Iofifteen
- 145+5 ExplanationIofi is the shortest of 1st Gen at 150cm which led to many short jokes at her expense. One of the more prominent ones is claiming that she's actually 145cm tall and that her shoes add the remaining 5cm.
- Pendecc ExplanationAnother joke at the expense of Iofi's height. In this context, "pendek" is Indonesian for "short". The "k" is swapped with "cc" while being blended with the "extra thicc" meme.
- #Yopidumpy ExplanationDuring Risu's 3D showcase, some fans noticed that Iofi's 3D model has a distinctly round, emphasized butt, leading to this hashtag spreading and the HoloID members themselves joking about it.
- Who Are You?ExplanationIofi says this any time she catches someone claiming credit for other people's artwork, especially her own. She's been known to use digital forensics to find out how often someone has stolen credit or artwork, to the point the thief is shamed off of social media.
Generation 2
Kureiji Ollie
- For obvious reasons, jokes comparing her to characters from Zombie Land Saga are all but inevitable when discussing her.
- Bouncy ribbonExplanationOllie's constantly bullying for being flat has her insisting she has a bouncy chest. Fans respond in kind that the only part that is bouncing is her ribbon.
- Wangy WangyExplanationIndonesian phrase that is used for a sniffing sound, that Ollie is very fond of using when she tries to smell one of the other girls onstream. This has led her chat to bring up the phrase whenever Ollie is potentially smelling someone or if someone's smell gets brought up.
- ngeeeng ExplanationBased on a short video by Ollie, this is brought up every time Ollie commented on non-official fan-made videos or clips because she is notorious to be one of the first commenters on said clips, if not the first. Exemplified in the aforementioned id:entity Pamomi ver. video, where Ollie was literally the first commenter.
- "Peed like a Charge Rifle"/BZZT BOOM ExplanationHow Ollie describes what happened on a bathroom break during her first Apex collab with Amelia, with the latter phrase is how said charge rifle sounds when fired in APEX. Ollie herself got in on the meme, and since then the Charge Rifle has become synonymous with her peeing. After a new patch to Apex Legends in 2023 that changed the Charge Rifle's beam to an energy ball, while also altering the iconic BZZT BOOM sound effect, Ollie became devastated at the loss of her favorite weapon and meme. Subsequently, when Kay Yu implemented Ollie to HoloCure, he added the original Charge Rifle beam and sound effect as Ollie's Special Attack. Ollie was overjoyed upon learning this and was grateful that the iconic Charge Rifle BZZT BOOM still existed somewhere.
- Ollie is Indonesian?ExplanationDue to Ollie's fluency in English and using it as the primary spoken language onstream, some fans joke that they never realized Ollie is Indonesian. Some take it a step further and claim that Ollie is a international member due to her fluency in all 3 of the main branch's languages
- Ollie is a glass cannonExplanationOllie's tendency of flirting with everyone she meets is not a secret by any means, but you put her against someone who escalates her flirting, or someone who starts it in the first place, and she's usually reduced to stuttering and blushing while struggling to give a clever reply.
- "Magikarp is evolving!"ExplanationDuring a Pokémon stream, Ollie is asked by her audience how to say "Thank you" in Indonesian. As she's replying, her Magikarp hits level 20 and starts to turn into Gyarados, resulting in her replying: "We say- Magikarp is evolving!!". As a result, chat has taken to use the phrase in place of "thank you" during her streams.
- "I literally can't get any gayer... [Beat] Holy shit, I think I'm full pledged now." ExplanationWords uttered by Ollie when reviewing fanart on June 24, 2022. Originally, it was a transition from a domineering Kaela fanart to a spicy Reine one, but the meme wrote itself by replacing the moment with other various fanarts.
- Ollie Holostars memberExplanationOllie's supportive nature where she constantly collabs with the Holostars boys this led her to be treated as One of the Boys, with Ollie sometimes even insisting that she's a Holostars boy in collabs where she is the only girl. This combined with the ongoing joke of her flat chest, has led many Zomrades to joke that Ollie is actually one of the boys and a Holostar herself.
Anya Melfissa
- Anya Hololive JP memberExplanationDue to Anya's fluency with Japanese, to the point that even the JP girls have confused her with a native speaker, this has led to jokes from fans (and later Hololive members) that Anya is actually a member of Hololive JP. Notable in that Anya was afflicted with this meme solely due to her proficiency with Japanese rather than any fumbling of her native language of Indonesian, which is the reason why Miko and Bae got hit with this same meme when they messing up speaking Japanese and English.
- Anya-fication ExplanationWhile the act of photoshopping faces of one of the girls onto others has existed before her debut, Anya in particular with her unique face is a popular subject, with the act of adding her face to anyone and everyone being dubbed this.
- Anya Mask ExplanationOn the reveal of her new costume on August 16th 2021, fans noticed that her rigging was off and made it look like she was wearing a mask of her own face. Fans ran away with this by editing Anya removing it and showing a different face.
- "No one cared who I was until I put on the mask."ExplanationAnya's 2022 outfit reveal shows that her new third outfit comes with an actual mask that looks like something Bane would wear. Fans of The Dark Knight immediately quoted Bane's line from the aforementioned movie.
- Anya copyright striking Anya/"Cancel Anya Melfissa"ExplanationPresumably due to a mistake with YouTube's automatic content ID system, Anya's official MV for Everlasting Knife got hit with a copyright claim by Anya herself. This instantly resulted in memes and jokes calling for cancellation of this problematic "Anya" person who dared to copyright strike Anya's original video, with she herself also joining in on the fun.
Pavolia Reine
- GWS Explanation"Get Well Soon", a phrase Reine often uses to turn down the pick-up line donations. Chat echoes it for other unsuccessful flirt attempts.
- Halu ExplanationShort for "halusinasi", essentially the Indonesian equivalent of "hallucination", but more commonly used by the ID girls to jokingly refer to delusional behavior or excessive wishful thinking towards one's oshi. Reine was the one who originally introduced the concept to her audience, who quickly learned to insert it into various contexts, such as Reine calling herself a peafowl or for the really out there flirt attempts.
- Soup War ExplanationWhenever Reine steps away from the stream, her chat devolves into discussions and jokes about soup.
- Mudah Sekali/Reine's Marketing Skill ExplanationLiterally translated into "very easy", the phrase is now associated with Reine's marketing skill or saying ads line in videos, like one in Ragnarok X Next Generation and her USSEEWA cover after-session free talk stream.
- Is that a 999 reference? ExplanationBasically the "Is that a JoJo reference?" meme, but asked whenever something vaguely related to 999 pops up after Reine's playthrough of it. It got some staying power after it was pointed out to Reine that her own birthday is September 9th or 9/9 which is 9 months after her debut date. Furthermore, said debut date, 12/6, has a digital root of 9.
- Tonjok Explanation"Tonjok" basically means "punch" in Indonesian. It became a recurring meme in chat after an Indonesian learning stream with Coco where the latter memorably described a "tonjok from the bottom", and has since become something of a Trauma Button and Inherently Funny Word for Reine, usually invoked whenever punching is mentioned on-stream.
- Mushrooms ExplanationRefers to her infamous bad luck in obtaining almost nothing but mushrooms in her Mario Kart 8 hololive tournament races.
Generation 3
Vestia Zeta
- Zeta is a catExplanationDue to the pointed hair buns on the side of her head, Zeta's chat and other Holo members began calling her a cat, despite her adamant denial and insisting she's a human. After extensive gaslighting from chat, Zeta slips-up on a few occasions and accidentally admits to being a cat. Eventually Zeta gave up trying to disassociate herself from the cat comparisons and declared herself a "Catlord" and a ruler of cats.
- SusExplanationGiven her character being a secret agent (and thus performing infiltration), this particular Among Us term for a person acting suspicious got attached to her very quickly even before debut.
- PONExplanationZeta's clumsy nature leads to a lot of silly mistakes on her part and chat to affectionately type "PON" whenever she does so.
- Clean SakamataExplanationDue to nearly being identical to Chloe Sakamata, fans immediately note how she really dislikes vegetables as opposed to Chloe disliking baths. Naturally they call her "Clean Sakamata" because to the fans, she at least takes a bath.
Kaela Kovalskia
- GSH ExplanationSimilar to Reine's GWS meme, Kaela uses this acronym to avoid overusing Reine's. The acronym means "Get Some Help".
- Kovalskia, analysis ExplanationDue to Kaela's design resembling that of a particularly tall penguin and their names sharing the same root, memes comparing her to Kowalski from Madagascar cropped up on social media almost as soon as she was introduced.
- With Anya being a dagger in human form, people have quickly put two and two together and made several memes about Kaela working on her, or having the intention of it.
- Sad Violin 😭🎻ExplanationAs part of her Self-Imposed Challenge to stream for an hour, Kaela played an indie mobile game called Flying Gorilla in which you play a gorilla, and if you die, this theme plays. She decided to play the theme to end her streams
- Don't ask her to be cute!ExplanationA general rule if you send a superchat to Kaela is to never ask her to act cute or saying meme lines such as "Hi Honey!". Kaela has a tendency to go on the opposite direction and when prompt to say a cutesy line, she does it in a gruttal voice instead. This video best exemplifies it
- LEMAO ExplanationKaela has a rather interesting way of enunciating the "LMAO" meme out loud, which the Pemaloe immediately picked up on and poked fun at. Later became an Ascended Meme in the form of one of her channel's official chat emotes.
- Sleb ExplanationA deliberate mispronunciation of "sleep" in a way similar to how Kaela often says it. It's often invoked to poke fun at her sleep schedule, or lack thereof, due to Kaela's notorious grinding and inordinately long streams.
- Trumpet 🎺ExplanationIn the 0.5 update of HoloCure, weapon stamps were introduced which introduce useful effects like more Attack power, or more money. Kaela fell in love with the Trumpet stamp that makes whoever she's playing "doot" with each attack, even to the point she'll swap out more useful stamps if it drops.
- Acumalaka Explanation Kaela's silent laugh is often dubbed over with the acumalaka sound by clippers. Became an ascended meme during a Raft collab stream where Ollie played the laugh on a soundboard whenever Kaela laughed silently, which Kaela acknowledged.
- Kaela's tendency to play Minecraft and grind for hours on end, to the point of sometimes appearing in the streams of her fellow Hololive talents, led to jokes of her being an NPC. If Kaela happens to log in during someone else's clip, expect the clipper to insert the Harvest Dawn theme from Oblivion.
- CURSE YOU, KAELA KOVALSKIA!!! ExplanationKaela's rather uncanny luck gets this kind of reaction from Ollie, who shows this when Kaela is shown flexing (usually to her). Nowadays, she takes the phrase with pride when someone uses it.
- She craves that mineral ExplanationA play on the I Crave that Mineral meme that's spawned from the perceived rivalry between Kaela and Bijou. Due the latter's professed hatred of pickaxes, and the former deliberately choosing the image of one for her profile picture as intimidation, the fandom quickly ran with the interpretation that Kaela really wanted to mine the newcomer for her own ends, which she seemed to play along with.
Kobo Kanaeru
- CSShaman ExplanationKobo showed those watching her debut stream a full-fleged webpage showing her bio, likes, dislikes, etc. Comparisions were made◊ between her and Kanata "PPTenshi" Amane's PowerPoint presentation in the latter's own debut stream.
- Kobo Kanauru ExplanationDue to their similar names, Kobo and popular Hololive animator Kanauru were memed to be one and the same person, with her debut being joked as Kanauru's not-so-sneaky entry into the Vtubing business. Kanauru himself has gotten in on it as well, and his bio section on Twitter for a while simply read "not Kobo".
- Tidak ramah, bintang satu ExplanationIndonesian for "not friendly, one star", a joke review on Kobo's tendency to cuss chat or act like a kusogaki.
- That Time Kobo Got Reincarnated as a Slime Explanation Other idols noticed how Kobo's hair and blue color is similar to Rimuru from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, so Kobo is often depicted with Rimuru's two lines representing his eyes in slime form. Kiara uses it for call-ins and Kobo herself used it as her twitter profile.
- Kobo owns TEMPUSExplanationDue to Kobo's frequent collabs with various members of HoloStars EN TEMPUS, especially Regis Altare, where she often strongarms them into Valorant with her, fans have declared her as an unofficial member of TEMPUS or that she is the true leader of TEMPUS. There is even a theory that Kobo is the Demon Lord that TEMPUS brought back with them on one of their expeditions.
