You're My Princess (Kimi wa Boku no Ohimesama) is a BL manga created by Kujirada Hiroto in 2016.

Itsumi "Itsu" Tachibana may look like a tough-as-nails delinquent on the outside, not helped by his menacing looks and equally menacing-looking best friends, but is actually a huge cat-loving softie on the inside. Unfortunately, everybody in his high school jumps to conclusions as they are too scared of him besides Tetsu and Fuji, his aforementioned friends who are outcasts for the same reason... Until one day, the ever-popular and handsome student body president and school prince Seima Takajou calls out to Itsu as his "Cinderella" and professes his love to him.

This was later followed up in 2017 by Someday My Prince Will Come (Ouji-Sama, Dochira-sama?), a Spin-Off sequel starring Fuji, a kind-hearted, mask-wearing introvert with a weak immune system, getting dragged along by Itsu's former tormenter, Mitsuki, and his cockamamie schemes of winning back Seima's heart. However, Mitsuki soon loses sight of his goals as he gets to learn about Fuji more while Fuji finds Mitsuki's sharp-tongued, sly nature as cute as his appearance.

Contains the following tropes:

  • All for Nothing: After meeting Seima, Mitsuki spent the next five years of his life working his way up in his good books, only to throw it all away in a fit of jealousy and not be recognised at all by his crush who angrily told him to get out of his sight for hurting Itsu. However, it's not all for naught since he manages to make amends with both Seima and Itsu as well as find a Second Love in Fuji.

  • Bridal Carry: When Itsu gets pushed down the stairs and sprained his ankle, Seima effortlessly carries him this way to the nurse's office which greatly flusters him. This only led to Mitsuki being even more jealous and doubling down on his bullying of Itsu.
  • Camp Straight: Tetsu, despite his alternate fashion choice and mannerisms saying otherwise, is the only straight person out of both his friend group and the main cast and has, in fact, a like-minded girlfriend named Meg.
  • Fag Hag: Tetsu was unknowingly one when he realized his two best friends are gay and have boyfriends, meaning he's the only straight guy in the cast since he has a girlfriend himself. The Irony of the situation is that Tetsu is Camp Straight whereas everyone else is Straight Gay.
  • Face of a Thug: Itsu and his two friends Tetsu and Fuji are the notorious Terrible Trio at school due to unintentionally scaring people off and giving the wrong impression with their frightening looks. In reality, all of them are just harmless marshmallows and overall fun people to hang out with:
    • Itsu may look like a typical Japanese Delinquent constantly death-glaring at everything but is just a cat-loving dork who doesn't know how to express himself properly. Being with Seima softens him up and becomes more open to his hobbies of visiting cat cafes and collecting kitty-themed merchandise.
    • Tetsu is a hardcore fan of visual kei rock and dresses the part which has the unfortunate side effect of repelling anyone outside his friend group with his alternative fashion and makeup in spite of his cheerful easy-going personality.
    • Fuji wears a face mask and looks gloomy 24/7 because of his weak immune system in addition to being intimidatingly tall. The combination of which gives off a dark aura around his meek, mild-mannered self and scares off others the most just by showing up. Mitsuki was the first person other than Itsu and Tetsu to be comfortable around Fuji and encouraged him not to wear his mask to show off the timid yet cute expressions he usually hides.
  • Forgotten First Meeting: Mitsuki haboured a long-standing crush on Seima after the latter collided and caught the former in his arms and told him that he likes him just the way he is. However, this gets deconstructed since Seima does not remember or recognise him at all upon meeting face-to-face for a second time, especially with his drastically changed looks to become even cuter and only pining from afar without directly interacting with him, which means Mitsuki left a really bad impression on Seima after he catches him bullying Itsu. This enrages Seima to the point he wishes to never see Mitsuki again and ensures that by banning him from the Student Council.
  • Gaydar: Meg, upon meeting the main cast for the first time, immediately figures out that Seima and Fuji are the tops in their respective relationship with Itsu and Mizuki.
  • Japanese Delinquent: This is the assumption everyone in school and the public makes about Itsu and his "gang" when in fact they are a bunch of sweethearts who wouldn't so much as hurt a kitten.
  • Last Episode, New Character: After being mentioned a few times, Tetsu's girlfriend Meg finally appears in the sequel but only in the very last bonus comic.
  • Odd Name Out: The "Terrible Trio" consists of Itsu, Tetsu and Fuji (Granted that "Futsu" is a Japanese verb, not a name).
  • One Head Taller: Upperclassman Fuji is significantly taller than the first-year Mitsuki until the latter reaches a growth spurt that puts them at equal height, much to the former's worry.
  • Out of Focus: Tetsu is the only one out of the five main guys to not have any focus in both the manga and its Spin-Off. Justified as this is a BL manga and he has a girlfriend in spite of his looks and demeanor.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: After having his first time with Mitsuki, Fuji immediately passes out from exhaustion and the resulting Nosebleed since his weak constitution meant he can't last long doing strenuous activities. As such he had to hold off the next time and even restrain himself from physical affection which made Mitsuki seriously doubt their relationship until Fuji caved in... and unsurprisingly collapsed again.
  • Yellow/Purple Contrast: Mitsuki and Fuji form this dynamic with the former having dyed blonde hair and wearing a yellow school sweater-vest or bright colours while the latter is seen in his trademark purple hoodie for school and normally wears dark clothing. Their differing personalities and height difference emphasise the contrasting.
