Tropes:
- Anger Born of Worry: A character chews out another for getting themselves in danger.
- Anguished Outburst: A character bitterly and sadly calls out on others due to a misfortune involving one or both parties.
- Arson, Murder, and Admiration: One villain starts listing the flaws of the other villain, then complimenting their merits.
- Arson, Murder, and Lifesaving: A character chews out another for all they did wrong and then admires them for something they did right.
- Calling Out for Not Calling: A character is called out for not getting in touch with another character.
- Calling the Old Man Out: When a character tells off a parental figure.
- Calling the Young Man Out: When a parent or parental figure tells off their child.
- Can't Take Criticism: When a character doesn't take the rebuke very well.
- Cowardice Callout: Someone gets called out on their cowardly behavior/conduct.
- Did You Actually Believe...?: Mocking your enemy for having been foolish enough to trust you, or naive enough to think their plan would stop you.
- Did You Think I Can't Feel?: A character has emotional torment, even if they don't usually express it.
- Even Evil Has Standards: A villain calls out a hero or another villain for doing misdeeds that even they are disgusted by.
- Fighting Your God: A character or group rebukes their own divine patrons or objects or worship.
- Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: Someone is called out for trying to use a Freudian Excuse in order to justify themselves and/or their actions.
- Kirk Summation: The hero verbally deconstructs the villain.
- No Sympathy for Grudgeholders: Getting called out for holding a grudge towards another character or being vengeful.
- Punished for Sympathy: When a character gets called out for sympathizing or showing kindness to someone who is less deserving of it.
- Quit Your Whining: Telling a character to stop complaining.
- Rage Against the Heavens: Character verbally abuses the powers that be, whoever or whatever they are.
- Rage Against the Mentor: The protege calls out their mentor.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: The character makes a speech that lists the flaws of another.
- Revenge Is Not Justice: The character is called out for using their quest for revenge to justify hurting others.
- Sarcastic Well Wishing: "Congratulating" a character for a "success", warning that their "victory" will be a Pyrrhic one.
- Screw You, Elves!: Calling out the Superior Species.
- Shaming the Mob: When a character calls out a mob for their actions.
- Shamed by a Mob: When a character gets called out by a mob for their actions.
- Shut Up, Hannibal!: A hero rebukes a villain's attempt to deconstruct them.
- Shut Up, Kirk!: Villain brushes aside the hero's Kirk Summation.
- Swiper, No Swiping!: Getting the villain to cease their misdeeds by simply telling them to stop.
- That Liar Lies: A person is reprimanded for lying.
- This Cannot Be!: Refusing to accept defeat at the hands of the character who just handed your butt to you on a plate.
- This Is Unforgivable!: When a character calls another character out for something they can't forgive and lets them know about it in no uncertain terms.
- Vigilante Injustice: When cops arrest the vigilante and call them out for executing a criminal or murdering an innocent suspect under the belief that they were guilty.
- What Have You Done for Me Lately?: A character has helped another character several times in the past. In spite of this, the latter is adamant that the former still owes him a favor.
- What the Hell, Hero?: When a hero gets called out for a morally questionable action.
- What the Hell, Player?: When video game players get called out for their bad deeds.
- What Were You Thinking?: A character does a stupid thing that goes horribly wrong. Character B asks the reason behind such stupidity.
- You Bastard!: A character chastises the audience for enjoying what they shouldn't enjoy.
- You're Insane!: A character announces how insane he/she finds another character to be and instantly goes to stop them.
- You Monster!: When someone is called a monster as a way of pointing out to the audience how evil another character finds him/her to be.
