Fanfic / Anti Shadow Suppression Weapon M 1 N 470

Go To

What if, on the night of Death's sealing, something went wrong? What if that something led to Minato becoming less than human and Aigis becoming more human? How will the Wild Card fare in a world where he doesn't just summon Persona, but becomes them instead? Either way, Minato's destiny has been changed forever, perhaps for the better.

AntiShadow Suppression Weapon M1N470 is a Persona 3 Fanfic written by KingofZeroX. The original story has been discontinued and the author has since started a rewrite

This story contains examples of the following tropes:

  • Ascended Extra: In the game, the Reaper was just a fairly difficult Bonus Boss. Here it's a Social Link for the Death Arcana
  • Awful Truth: In Chapter 18, Mitsuru finally learns the truth about Minato being a normal human prior to becoming an ASW. Labrys learns about it from Minato earlier. They both don't take it very well.
  • Ax-Crazy: Mitsuru has a brief stint of being this after Minato leaves SEES for a while
  • Become a Real Girl: Happened to Aigis in the first chapter.
  • Bodyguard Crush: Mitsuru towards Minato
  • Christmas Episode: The omake in Chapter 16.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Mitsuru. She spots Minato hanging out with Elizabeth and gets really jealous.
  • Creepy Child: Aigis' Pharos equivalent , Metis.
Metis: Tee hee. Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee. Onee-chaaan...

  • Cursed With Awesome: Minato's transformation gives him more variability and abilities in combat; he still wants to be a normal human again.
  • Do Androids Dream?
  • Gone Horribly Wrong: The premise of the story is that this happened when Aigis attempted to seal Death into Minato, resulting in him becoming something less human with the reverse happening to Aigis.
    • Played for Laughs when Minato gives advice to Akihiko on how to ditch their fangirls by throwing away an item of theirs so the fangirls could chase it. Akihiko attempted to do this, but the fangirls got his item in record time and craved for more. It wasn't a good day for him.
  • Gotta Kill Them All: Mitsuru towards Shadows after Minato unofficially leaves SEES.
  • Just a Machine: What members of SEES assume Minato to be. He doesn't take it well.
  • Magic Music: Burn My Dread does exactly that; it burns Shadows to cinders.
  • Mistaken for Gay: Played for Laughs. Both Minato and Aigis joke that Yukari may be a lesbian due to her constantly turning down boys and the fact that she seemed to be very worried about Aigis when she was in the hospital especially since she practically stares at Aigis until she woke up.
  • Powers as Programs: How Minato's Wild Card is depicted.
  • Sarcasm-Blind: Akihiko and possibly everyone for Minato.
Minato: Nobody ever gets my sarcasm.
Akihiko: What sarcasm?! You're never sarcastic!
Minato: Exactly, Akihiko. I use it all the time and you never pick up on it.
  • Superpowered Alter Ego: Shinjiro. His Shadow comes forth in his body when Minato attempts to help him overcome his berserk Persona by not taking the pills that suppresses his Persona.
  • The Unexpected: The Reaper as the Social Link for the Death Arcana and Labrys as a party member.
    • Jeanne D'Arc as a crazed Mitsuru's persona.
    • Akinari, the canon Sun Social link as a member of Strega
  • Wham Episode: Chapter 10 Minato, after an a falling out with Mitsuru and a little nudging from Ikutsuki, joins Strega.
  • Wham Line: From Chapter 10
Ikutsuki: Minato Arisato, will you join Strega?
Minato: I just want to be alone. Being close to others only causes anguish
Ikutsuki: You won't have to worry about being close to others in Strega. It's one of our policies
Minato: Good. Where do I sign up?
  • Yaoi Guys: Averted. Some rumors in Gekkoukan High claimed that Minato and Akihiko were a thing. They were quickly silenced by the two.
  • Younger Than They Look: Minato after becoming an ASW. When he and Mitsuru met when she was eight, he's technically a year younger than her despite looking older.
