    The main pair 

Hades

God of the dead and King of the Underworld. He fell in love with Persephone, but his awkwardness with women drove him to kidnap her.
  • Abduction Is Love: Couldn't bring himself to ask Persephone out so he kidnapped her on Zeus coercion.
  • Everybody Hates Hades: He's looked down upon by the majority of the other gods, his brothers however have always loved and respected him, even if they fail to show it.
  • Happily Married: And the most stable marriage in the entire pantheon.
  • Mystical White Hair: Has pale white hair, inhereited from his father.
  • Never Be Hurt Again: After Leuce left him as soon as she had taken his virginity, he became heartbroken and refused to socialize, rarely leaving the underworld. Until the day he was reunited with Persephone.
  • No Social Skills: He kidnaps Persephone because he had no idea how to talk to women. Kidnapping was Zeus and Poseidon's suggestion and since they've had lots of girlfriends, Hades assumed it was ok.
  • Poor Communication Kills: His inability to directly talk to Persephone leads to alot of trouble when Zeus and Poseidon suggest he just kidnap her.

Persephone

Goddess of Spring and Queen of the Underworld. Originally kidnapped by Hades, she resented him but grew to like him after she learned what a truly good king he was.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Do not try to homewreck her, Minthe would tell you why if she could talk.
  • Dude Magnet: Was courted by Ares, Apollo, Hermes, and Hephaestus before she married Hades, but rejected all of them.
  • Happily Married: To Hades ofcourse, they're one of the healthiest couples in the pantheon.
  • Petal Power: As Goddess of Spring she can, apart from make flowers bloom, shoot flowers out of her hands.
  • She's All Grown Up: Hades falls in love with her eighty years after they first met when she was a child.
  • Single-Target Sexuality: When Persephone tries to think of what kind of guy she likes, she can only imagine Hades with a slight change.
  • Stockholm Syndrome: Averted: She hated Hades for kidnapping her and kept fighting him for the entirety of her imprisonment. But when she realised he did it on Zeus suggestion and lets her go when it is clear how scared she is, she softens up and agrees to give him a shot.

Zeus

King of the gods and Hades' youngest brother. He was the one who suggested Hades should kidnap Persephone.

Poseidon

King of the ocean and Hades younger brother.
  • Arranged Marriage: To Amphitrite, who only agreed to marry him to ensure the throne would be in safe hands.
  • Chivalrous Pervert: Much like his younger brother.
  • Drowning Your Sorrows: Starts drinking after Amphitrite rejects his proposal.
  • Hidden Depths: He is genuenly shattered when Amphitrite rejects him at first and is upset that she doesn't like him back after they married. When he thinks Zeus has taken her as a lover, her genuenly considers going to war with him.
    • In Queen of the Sea it’s revealed that Poseidon actually was going to remain faithful to Amphitrite but Zeus convinced him that there was no point in trying to win her over so he might as well have some affairs.
  • Love at First Sight: Claims to have fallen for Amphitrite when they first met and she helped him fight.
  • Making a Splash: God of the sea.
  • No Sense of Personal Space: Is very clingy with Amphitrite, much to her annoyance.

Hera

Zeus' wife and Queen of the gods.

Demeter

Goddess of agriculture and Persephone's mother.
  • My Beloved Smother: Is really clingy with Persephone, most likely because a centaur tried to assault her when she was a child.
  • Parents as People: She’s a bit overbearing on Persephone, but seeing as many creatures in their world are depraved, it is understandable. And she doftens up when she realizes Persephone is happy with her position.

Hestia

Goddess of hearth and home, one of the virginity goddesses.

Aphrodite

Goddess of love, sex, and beauty. Ares's wife and mother of Eros

Ares

God of war, son of Zeus and Hera, husband of Aphrodite and father of Eros.

Eros

God of love, Son of Aphrodite and Ares.

Hephaestus

God of fire and forgery. Son of Zeus and Hera, ex-husband of Aphrodite.

Athena

Goddess of War and Wisdom. One of Zeus' children.


  • Celibate Hero: As one of the three virginity goddesses.
  • Unrelated in the Adaptation: Was the daughter of Metis in the myths, here Metis broke up with Zeus before she was able to get pregnant. It is implied that Hera is her mother instead.

Apollo

God of Music, medicine, and the sun. He's a son of Zeus.

Artemis

Goddess of hunting, the moon, and virginity. She's a daughter of Zeus.


  • Celibate Hero: As one of the three virginity goddesses, although she considered losing that privilege once.

Ferryman of the dead.

Arachne

A maid at Hades' palace.

Styx

The titan goddess of the river of the same name. She sided with the olympians in the titanomachy after softening up to Hades.
  • Shipper on Deck: For Hades and Persephone.
  • Unrelated In Adaptation: She was the oldest daughter of Oceanus in the myths, in this comic she seems to be an independent being and Amphitrite is the first born instead.

Hecate

Goddess of magic

Thanatos

God of death, later becomes Macaria's boyfriend.

Macaria

Oldest child of Hades and Persephone, goddess of blessed death. She end up dating Thanatos.

Melinoe

Hades and Persephone's second daughter. Goddess of ghosts and madness.

Dionysus/Zagreus

The third child and only son of Hades and Persephone. Zagreus was murdered by a monster as a child but became reborn as Dionysus.

Minthe

A naiad from the river Cocytos who works as a servant for the royal family of the underworld. She is in love with Hades.

    Oceanic beings 

Amphitrite

Poseidon's wife and the queen of the sea. She is the oldest daughter of Oceanus.
  • Adaptational Species Change: Sort of, she mostly recognized as a nereidnote  but she has also been called an oceanid note .
  • Affectionate Nickname: Poseidon calls her "Trity".
  • Arranged Marriage: Is in one with Poseidon, but is uninterested in him. However after the switch comic, Persephone convinced her to give Poseidon a genuine chance.
  • Sexless Marriage: Poseidon chases after other women constantly, however Amphitrite is ok with it since she doesn't want to sleep with him.

Metis

Zeus ex-girlfriend and a daughter of Oceanus.

Leuce

Hades' ex-girlfriend and one of Oceanus' daughters.

Delphinus

Amphitrite's pet dolphin.

Pontus

One of the lords of the sea, he preferred Oceanus' rule to Poseidon's

Thetys

Oceanus' wife and the mother of their fifty daughters.

Psyche

A mortal girl that Eros fell in love with. Aphrodite has put her on a test to see if she truly loves her son.
