    Abe "Mari" Marisa
The heroine. She is best friends with Konchi, but when Konchi wanted to go take pictures of a haunted house, she let her go alone. Then Konchi disappeared, prompting Mari to go the house and find her.
  • Cool Big Sis: Acts very much like a protective big sister to her junior/best friend Konchi, who in turn looks up to her.
  • Fiery Redhead: Redheaded and very headstrong, protective of Konchi, and fends off the monster at the end of the normal game.
  • It's All My Fault: It becomes apparent that she blames herself for Konchi's disappearance, since she declined Konchi's offer to visit the Haunted House and let her go alone, allowing her to fall prey to the monster.

    Kondo "Konchi" Chiyo
Mari's junior and best friend. She gets lost in the house.

    Sano
A boy who went in the house with his girlfriend on a dare. He lost her and has been looking for her.
  • Gonk: His chubby, freckled face and big pink lips make him noticeably uglier than the other characters (except the monster).
  • Sky Face: He and Kumoko are shown in the sky in the normal ending, to show that they will be remembered by Marisa.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Grateful that Marisa reunited him and Kumoko, he decides to help her find Konchi. This gets him killed when he finds the monster instead.
  • Ugly Guy, Hot Wife: He is a Gonk with freckles and big purple lips, while his girlfriend Kumoko is a cute teen girl.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: He and Kumoko get killed by Shigemi not long after we meet him.

    Kawakami Kumoko
Sano's girlfriend who got lost in the house.
  • Sky Face: She and Sono are shown in the sky in the normal ending, to show that they will be remembered by Marisa.
  • Ugly Guy, Hot Wife: She is a cute teen girl, while her boyfriend Sano is a Gonk with freckles and big purple lips.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: She and Sano get killed by Shigemi not long after we meet her.

    The Sisters
A pair of unnamed sisters who appear in the intro. They are both killed by the monster.
  • The Bus Came Back: After getting killed off in the prologue, they return in the Bonus Chapter, as mindless ghosts torturing Shigemi.
  • Decoy Protagonist: You play as the brunette one for a short time, solving one puzzle, before she is killed and you take control of the actual protagonist, Abe Marisa.
  • Off with His Head!: The brunette gets her head cut off by the monster. It then gets stuffed inside a cabinet.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: The brunette one only appears in the intro, which lasts about five minutes, before being killed, while the blonde is dead when we see her.

    The Monster

Shigemi

The monster haunting the house. She is a bloody humanoid with pointy ears and red-yellow skin. She was once an innocent girl until she was kidnapped by Chinko and her scientists to turn her into the ultimate weapon.

  • A Day in the Limelight: Her human self is the protagonist of the Bonus Chapter, focusing on her regaining her sanity.
  • The Cameo: Akemi-Tan reveals she used to be Shimoko's classmate before "going missing".
  • Disc-One Final Boss: The main game positions her as the antagonist who Mari must rescue Konchi from, but the additional game reveals that she is being ordered to kill the students by Prof. Nakada and Chinko.
  • The Heavy: She is the one who kills the students and tries to kill Mari, but she is working under Prof. Nakada and Chinko, who give her the orders to kill people and sit back while letting her do the work.
  • Kidnapped for Experimentation: The Reveal is that the Monster, Shigeki, used to be a normal schoolgirl until she was abducted by Professor Nakada to be turned into the ultimate bioweapon.
  • Samus Is a Girl: The terrifying androgynous monster used to be a high school girl.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: She spends the additional game trying to escape the prison while not remembering who she is. It's not until the end that she remembers being the monster that haunts the house.
  • Tragic Monster: She used to be a normal human girl until she was turned into a humanoid monster by the scientists, and is being forced to kill on their orders.
  • Trauma Button: Light, specifically camera flashes, since they remind her of the experiments that were done to her where she had pictures taken of her. Any kind of camera flash will terrify her, and using this weakness is how Mari is able to escape her in the finale.
  • Turned Against Their Masters: At the end of the additional game, she breaks free and starts turning on the scientists who experimented on her.
  • Was Once a Man: She was just a normal schoolgirl until she was captured by scientists and turned into their guinea pig.

    Yokoyama
Professor Nakada's assistant.
  • The Dragon: To Prof. Nakada, as he works as his assistant.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted, as he shares surname with a (female) minor character from Oyadori No Ko.
  • Token Good Teammate: He's the only one among Chinko and Nakada's team who treats Shigemi with at least a little respect, trying to calm her down when scared and being visibly disturbed when Chinko beats Shigemi.

    Professor Nakada
We have again made a significant breakthrough in the research of the strongest biological weapon.

The leader of the scientists who turned Shigemi into a monster. He sought to turn her into the ultimate weapon, and has been luring people to the house to have her kill them.

  • The Dragon: To Chinko, his investor who controls the weapons project (given that she threatens to do something to him if he doesn't get her good results).
  • Mad Scientist: He and his team kidnapped Shigemi and experimented on her, drugging her, to turn her into a monster capable of being a weapon.
  • The Man Behind the Man: He is the one giving Shigemi orders to kill Marisa and the others inside the house, though he himself is under Chinko's thumb.
  • Minor Major Character: Despite being The Dragon who is directly giving Shigemi orders to kill people and the one running the experiments on her, he and his co-conspiraors only appear in a few scenes in the additional game.

    Chinko
The investor who is financing Prof. Nakada's weapon project. She wants the professor to give her the ultimate weapon, though exactly why is unknown.
  • Big Bad: As the investor and boss of the secret weapon project, she is the one behind Shigemi turning into a monster and being made to kill innocent people to make her a weapon.
  • Karma Houdini: We don't see her in the lab when Shigemi breaks out and begins her Roaring Rampage of Revenge, so we don't know if she ever receives comeuppance for funding the project that turned her into a monster.
  • I'll Kill You!: She frequently says this to Yokoyama whenever he displeases her.
  • The Man Behind the Man: She was the one who funded the project to turn Shigemi into a weapon and have her kill people for her own purposes. Professor Nakada, who orders Shigemi around, is her subordinate in turn.
  • Mean Boss: She repeatedly denigrates and threatens to kill Yokoyama, calling him a "useless clown", and makes it clear to Prof. Nakada that she will do something to him if he doesn't give her the results she wants. She also beats up Shigemi when they are about to leave for not moving, even though Shigemi is still scared from the camera flash.
  • Minor Major Character: Despite being the true Big Bad as the one behind the project to turn Shigemi into a monster, she and her co-conspirators only appear in a few scenes in the additional game.

    Spoiler Character

???

A giant dog that briefly appears to Shigemi in a dream, helping her recover her sanity. She refers to him respectfully as "father". In fact, he's Kona5, the creator of the game.
