Unknown newbies
The two shinobi-in-training from the Guren no Hebi (Crimson Snake) manga. They're usually around while the Crimson Squad teaches them about the basics of being a shinobi.

- Blindfolded Vision: One of them wears a blindfold over her eyes, which doesn't seem to hinder her vision.
- Exotic Eye Designs: The other one has left eye differs from her right eye and rest of the usual eye designs. It has a small iris with a ring around it, her left eye is yellow and her right eye is brown, and the eyebrows are coloured white instead of black.
- Fashionable Asymmetry: The one with the different eye has a lock of hair tied with bandages on her right side.
- Girlish Pigtails: The one with the blindfold has these.

Suzuki
A male student that attends the normal side of Hanzo Academy. He's on a Baseball team and has a crush on Asuka.
- Love Confession: To Asuka.
- Muggles: Is an ordinary highschool boy who is unaware of the fact that Asuka is a Shinobi.
- Red Herring: It seemed like Asuka was genuinely interested in him, but in the end she ultimately decided to avoid him completely so that she could focus on becoming a shinobi.
Tsumuji
A first year at Hebijo Academy. She is the younger sister of Komichi, the evil shinobi who tried to kill Homura and who was almost killed by the result. Because of that, she wants revenge on Homura for the sake of her brother.
- Big Damn Heroes: Saves Homura from Dōgen's attack when she is about to get brainwashed.
- Killed Off for Real: Ends up dying in the hands of Dōgen in the Crimson Squad's story in Shinovi Versus.
- No Name Given: She was originally not given a name when she is brought up in Skirting Shadow. Even in Crimson Girls where there is a mission from her, she is addressed as "????". Only in Shinovi Versus does she have a name.
- Revenge: Wants to avenge her brother for what Homura did to him. Unfortunately, Homura constantly outsmarts her.
- Tsundere: Hikage outright thinks that she's a tsundere, being confused by the fact that even though Tsumuji hates Homura, she seems to still hang around with her.
Shin
The first Yoma, and the progenitor and creator of all subsequent Yoma. From the safety of its own pocket dimension, Shin creates Yoma and sends them to the Human world to cause chaos and destruction. Shinovi Versus reveals that the purpose of the conflict between Good and Evil Shinobi is to train enough Kagura so that one day they can pull Shin into the real world and destroy it for good.
- Greater-Scope Villain: As the creator of the Yoma, Shin is indirectly responsible for all of Dogen's plots and the backstories of the characters who lost loved ones to its minions. Not to mention how the entire purpose of Shinobi is to one day fight and destroy it.
- Monster Progenitor: Is the source and creator of all Yoma.
- Nigh-Invulnerable: Is completely invincible while in its pocket plane. The entire purpose of the Forever War between Good Shinobi and Evil Shinobi is to one day drag it out of its dimension and slay it.
- When Trees Attack: Based on Hanzo's flashback towards the end of the Crimson Squad's story in Shinovi, its physical form is that of a giant, demonic tree.
Introduced in Neptunia X Senran Kagura
- VA: Miku Ito
A Shinobi from the Virtue Kingdom and is fiercely loyal to Princess Auru. She joins up with the Compa Heart and Honeypa Ninja clans to stop Yoh Gamer and protect the Princess Auru.
- Animal-Eared Headband: She's human, and wears cat ears and a tail.
- Animal Motifs: Cats. Even her eyes are somewhat cat-like.
- Berserk Button: Going after Princess Auru is one of the few things that piss off Yuuki, and if Yuuki is pissed off at you, run.
- Close-Range Combatant: She uses traditional martial arts in combination with Wolverine Claws to take out her opponents.
- Form-Fitting Wardrobe: Her catsuit hugs her body tightly.
- VA: Toa Yukinari
A Guest Fighter from Spike Chunsoft's Shinobido series. After getting into a confrontation with the Compa Heart and Honeypa Ninja clans, she joins up with them to fight Yoh Gamer, as well as learn more about herself.
- Amnesiac Hero: Knows nothing about herself other than her name. She attacks any strong opponents for answers.
- Catchphrase: "Be punished!"
- Cool Mask: Is rarely seen without her mask covering her face. Even in the bathhouse minigame, she keeps it on.
- Defeat Means Playable: She appears as a boss early on, but after defeating her in battle, she becomes playable.
- Gender Bender: Is a woman in Neptunia X Senran Kagura for some unexplained reason.
- Guest Fighter: From Spike Chunsoft's Shinobido.
- Fragile Speedster: Her attacks don't do the best damage, but she can attack very quickly.
