The Resident Evil franchise is celebrated for its wide gallery of colorful monsters. Commonly manufactured as B.O.W.s (Bio Organic Weapon), many irregular mutants have also resulted from biohazard catastrophes that plague the world. Due to the vast scope of the series-wide enemy glossary over Resident Evil's 27-year history, they have been split into several pages.

• The Mold — Strange fungal-derived horrors spawned from an abomination known as the Fungal Root that spawns the titular Mold fungi. They have superseded most creatures as of the third generation (2017 - 2022).
