Main Characters

    Eraqus
The main character of the story. A Dusk who has almost no memory of his previous life. His existence holds many mysteries that even he is not fully aware of.
  • Ability Mixing: Eraqus discovers a way to combine his spells in order to create more powerful attacks.
  • Amnesiac Hero: Has almost no memories of who he was before becoming a Nobody.
  • Bishōnen Line: After growing closer to becoming a complete being, he takes on a slightly more humanoid form.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: While he is usually pretty down to earth, occasionally Eraqus’ thought process and mannerisms can get pretty weird. He becomes far less lucid when he uses his Job System due to it’s side effects.
  • Immune to Mind Control: Eraqus is immune to the Organization member’s ability to control lesser Nobodies.
  • Job System: Eraqus’ main ability is this, having a dozens of different jobs to choose from each amplifying his abilities a certain way.
  • Mysterious Past: He has no memories of his past life, though Hehanort more or less confirms he was from our world. He later meets the ghost of Strelitzia and begins periodically receiving small flashes of memory, which imply he was a member of the Unions.
  • Power of the Void: The basis of most of his abilities is sending matter or energy into the void for new weapons and powers. He later gains the ability to call on the power of the Realm of Nothingness itself, something that only Xemnas has been able to do.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Word of God is that Eraqus is actually pretty weak when compared to the canon main characters of Kingdom Hearts (or at least them when they are at higher levels). His large number of abilities more than makes up for the difference.
    Eraqus’ Heart
In the process of forming his heart, Eraqus has absorbed several lingering spirits to help stabilize the process.

General

  • Living Memory: All of them are basically the lingering memories and personalities of beings that have been killed or destroyed.
  • Out of Focus: Their involvement in the story constantly fluctuates, with some having no or barely any involvement after become part of Eraqus. Justified as they exist within Eraqus’ Heart, and Eraqus can’t speak with them unless he goes inside his Heart or he enters a World that makes it easier for them to communicate.

Zexion/Ienzo

Lexaeus/Aeleus

Shiki

Nagito Komaeda

Seymour

Keyo

Yoruichi

Rai

The lingering trauma and memory of Eraqus' original self, John.

Vantus/Vantius

A mashup of the Armored Ventus Nightmare and the Vanitas Remnant.
  • Composite Character: A literal case, being a mix of Ventus and Vanitas' personalities and desires.

Mammon

A greed demon Eraqus received from Louis Cyphre.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Is currently the only spirit within Eraqus that is genuinely villainous and is actually plotting to steal Eraqus’ forming heart.

Cid Alb

Ganon (Wind Waker)

Donna Beneviento

Salvatore Moreau

Albert Wesker

Aeris

Vexen

Devimon

    Aqua
  • Broken Ace: Like in canon Aqua suffers from self-confidence issues and trauma thanks to failing to save her friends and being lost in the Realm of Darkness for nearly a decade. Eraqus and Cindy have helped her to start growing out of it.
    King Mickey
    Riku
  • Full-Potential Upgrade: Downplayed. After gaining his keyblade, Riku has a difficult time consistently summoning it, partly due to his lack of experience and crippling self-confidence issues. Receiving a keychain for a more darkness aligned keyblade from Igor helps remedy this problem somewhat.
    DiZ
    Namine
    Cindy
  • The Apprentice: Becomes one to Aqua.
  • Genki Girl: After Eraqus takes her to live in Hyrule, she has become much more excitable.
    Hehanort
Short for Heartless Xehanort, he is Eraqus’ Heartless. Thanks to attacking Eraqus while he was being formed, he gained sentience by consuming his willpower and memories. He has memories of the entire Kingdom Hearts series.

  • Anti-Hero: Becomes one of these after he makes a truce with Eraqus. He wants to screw over the Organization XIII and the real Xehanort's plans but is willing to go to extreme measures to do so and refuses to be one of the good guys because as he puts it:
Sometimes, you need to fuck over the good guys because the bad guys are counting on them winning, you get me?
  • The Assimilator: Increases his power by consuming Hearts and other Heartless. His body has been noted to contain pieces of other types of Heartless.
  • Chuunibyou: Has shades of this early on, treating his new existence as if it were a game. After receiving a reality check in the form of a Curb-Stomp Battle from Eraqus, he decides to start taking things more seriously.
  • Clock Roaches: Constantly eating time magic has turned him into one of these, with the Worlds having more or less recruited him to fix time problems. He’s become strong enough to start fighting the Dahaka on even footing.
  • Non-Linear Character: Downplayed. Heartless don't experience time the same way normal beings do and this freaked Hehanort out. He has resorted to consuming large amounts of time magic in order to compensate for this.
  • Resurrective Immortality: Unless someone finishes him off with a keyblade, he’ll just reform.
  • Vegetarian Vampire: Downplayed, but he’s claimed to have found away to stave off his natural hunger for hearts by consuming heart containers.
    Xion

Supporting

    Stitch
Experiment 626 himself. He met Terra, Ventus, and Aqua 10 years prior to the story. He has asked Aqua and Eraqus to find all of his cousins scattered across the Worlds.
    Zack
    Undyne
The determined heroine who never gives up. She’s been looking for her friends who have been scattered across various Worlds. She currently resides in Olympus Coliseum.

  • Determinator: One of the defining traits of her character. She apparently walked through Dark Corridors without protection multiple times looking for her friends before the strain eventually become too much.
  • Lethal Chef: Her other defining character trait is that she is not a very good cook. Case in point, she makes protien shakes from crushed bricks and metal shavings.
    Sombra
A hacker who used to work for Talon. After Eraqus accidently pulled her out of her World on his misadventures, she requested not to be returned to her World. She has since dedicated her time to unravelling the secrets of the multiverse.
    Clair
    Johanan/Hana/Hana-chan
    Zeke
    Daemon
    Ori
Eraqus' Original Heart who discarded the name John for Ori. He is the Envy out of the counterparts.

    Roxas
    Luxord
    Xigbar

The Seven Virtues

They are the Master of Masters's prototype weapons to fight the forces of Darkness. Unfortunately they were a failure for that task as despite them being very powerful with light, it wasn't enough to free Hearts from the Heartless as only Keyblades can do that. They were reactived to pacify Eraqus and his siblings but that plan will soon not succeed either. Each has abilities that corresponds with the Virtue they represent.

    Jade (Virtue of Patience)
Targets: Johanan.
    Opal (Virtue of Temperance)
    Alexandrite (Virtue of Humility)
    Ruby (Virtue of Kindness)
    Sapphire (Virtue of Diligence)
    Diamond (Virtue of Purity)
    Emerald (Virtue of Charity)
Targets: Eraqus.
