Characters that appeared in NAITO's Canticle. This page is for the Thralls that appear throughout the series (sans Lilith).

This page contains massive spoilers, none of which are marked. Tread carefully.

     Yatagarasu

A three-legged crow that serves as Naraka's Thrall.

  • Clever Crows: Yatagarasu is pretty smart and curious, often nearby if he isn't on Naraka's shoulder.

     Suzu Belloch

A roguish, bloodthirsty thug that serves as Behemoth's Thrall.

  • Batter Up!: She carries a worn baseball bat around as a weapon. It still has the blood and brains of her previous victims stuck to it.
  • Cute and Psycho: Suzu's deadly as they come, but also pretty easy on the eyes.
  • A Death in the Limelight: Gets a large portion of Chapter 19 dedicated to fleshing out her past, only to meet her end later on.
  • The Dragon: She's Behemoth's Thrall and also serves as his second-in-command within his gang.
  • Foil: To Lilith. Both serve as Thralls to criminals and are criminals themselves. Suzu prefers to murder her victims however, whereas Lilith just robbed them.
  • Human Pincushion: Becomes one thanks to Lilith in their rematch at Tel Megiddo, presumably killing her.
  • Never Found the Body: Her corpse is never found, leaving only Lilith's charred knife is left behind.
  • Psycho Supporter: To Behemoth, her master and gang leader. It's slightly hinted they might have something else going on.
  • Tattooed Crook: Has tattoos of sea waves traveling up her body, from her calves to her breasts.

     Laz Larsa

The superintendent of Yomi's police, who also serves as Nergal's Thrall.

  • Attack on the Heart: How she kills a mortician, crushing his heart into pulp using her decompression powers.
  • Dirty Cop: More specifically, a Killer Cop. She kills those who go against Nergal's orders and will serve the Empire loyally without a fault.

     Orobas

Paimon's Thrall, who serves as Mura's first opponent in the Zoroaster Tournament.

  • Hellish Horse: His primary form is a monstrous demonic horse.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Mura tricks him into ramming the arena's wall at full speed, cracking his skull open and killing him.

     Rubitrix's Staff

Rubitrix's Thrall, an ornate wizard's staff imbued with souls.

  • Arms Fair: What the staff's ultimate fate is, stuck in a gift shop after its master is incinerated.
  • Magic Staff: A mystical warlock's staff, infused with souls to properly serve as a Thrall.

     Howe

Haagenti's Thrall, a trusty canine companion to his master.

  • Canine Companion: He serves as Haagenti's trusty sidekick.
  • Kick the Dog: After Howe and his master fuse, Behemoth proceeds to kill them both.

     Furu-Utsubo

Shuten's Thrall, a cursed quiver that materializes arrows onto the user's bow.

  • Abnormal Ammo: It can create arrows, materializing them once an archer nocks their bow. This removes the need to manually carry and ready arrows, allowing the user to simply draw the bowstring.
  • Bottomless Magazines: Because Furu-Utsubo can just spawn an infinite amount of arrows into existence, Shuten never has to worry about running out.
  • Living Weapon: Furu-Utsubo is a possessed quiver with a large yellow eye on it. It usually remains closed, but opens when it's being used in battle.
