Hate to double post, but I was looking up the Hanzi for Zhi so I could put it on the character sheet. I discovered that Zhi...is a girl's name. Oops.

Actually, I have a few Ideas about that, but I'll share them after I get the new character sheet posted.

A few ideas, huh? Does one of them involve Dropped A Bridget On Him?

By the way, anone have any idea what we should call the bookworm and Shrinking Violet? Because if we don't, I say we should use my old suggestions of Kaoru and Wataru, respectiveley.

Aye for wataru. In any case, here's the newest Character sheet.

Setting:

Alternate History Japan, where Edo never became the capital, instead Kyoto stayed it. This was because of the Human-Kitsune wars, which eventually dragged in the Yuki-onna as well. After years of hellish fighting, the sides finally made a treaty and the war, but Edo as well as much of the rest of Japan was burned to the ground, and after decades of Reconstruction, Fantastic Racism still persists.

• Background: During the Edo period, a young man and woman met and fell in love. On the day of their wedding, however, the young man discovered she was actually a kitsune. He didn't care in the least, and the two still got married. Six months later, the young man's brother discovers the now-pregnant woman's secret, and riles up the citizens of Edo on a Witch Hunt to attack the couple. After murdering the young man's wife and unborn child, the brother burns down the house and leaves. The young man, now mad and depraved with grief, leads the kitsune army to burn down Edo and wages war on the Shogun.

Characters:

• Hoshi (星) No Last Name Given: A Nice Girl Bifauxnen (Who is descended from the brother and possibly the original man's reincarnation) She's Childhood friends with Tsutomu.
  • Hoshi's Harem:
    • Tsutomu (拳) no family name yet: A snarky Type B Tsundere Unlucky Childhood Friend who has no idea the Bifauxnen's female, possibly a Keet as well.
    • Megumi (惠): A Lipstick Lesbian Hot Nurse who is a kitsune in disguise (And the reincarnation of the original Kitsune woman to boot). The Libby threatens to blackmail her. She hates Midori's cousin with a passion.
    • An Adorkable potential Badass Bookworm who starts out closeted but ends up pursuing the heroine.
    • Zhi: A Chinese Yandere Stringy Haired Ghost Guy who suffered a Cruel and Unusual Death many years ago, approximately
    • Komatsu Shoutarou No last name yet(小松小太郎): A Cosplay Otaku Guy who is obsessed with alternate universe versions of famous films and movies, and wants to someday be an actor himself. He winds up getting kidnapped. The Idiot from Osaka (somewhat) personified.

• Yukio Midori (雪生緑): Magnificent Bitch Libby who acts like the relationships she has at school are "Just Business"
  • The Libby's harem:
    • A male Shrinking Violet young history professor from Okinawa with a crush on the libby (YUKIO-SAAAAAAAN!) who starts out as her manipulee but whom later she truly respects. He's actually a very vicious Heir to the Dojo that ran away to become an intellectual.
    • Tsunekawa Hitomi (雅川一実): Meido Twin #1
    • Tsunekawa Futako (雅川二子): Meido Twin #2
    • Istavan Daisuke (イースタバーン大助): But Not Too Foreign Half-greek Jerk Jock and Midori's right hand man. He has Lecherous tendencies.
    • Hideki No last name yet: A Dojikko Martial artist that loves yuri. He Does Not Know His Own Strength.
  • Other Characters:
    • Yukio Aoi (雪生青): The Harem Nanny Cousin of the libby. A male Bottle Fairy. Also a Dude Looks Like a Lady.
    • Hoshi's Adoptive Grandmother: Has been through the same thing as Hoshi when she was young, and explains the human-Kitsune-yukionna wars. She later turns out to be Hoshi's biological grandmother as well.

Well, the gist of it is that Zhi(or rather whatever his real name is) was a young man who came with a group of friends to study in Japan. One of his (female) friends was named Zhi. At some point, said friend went completely insane or was insane to begin with and killed him. His last words were him screaming Zhi's name, and as a ghost who lost his memories, it's the only word he can say at first, so everyone calls him Zhi.

...damn, that was dark. I'm sorry.

Wow, poor guy. No wonder he's Yandere.

Y'know, the only thing that would make that scenario worse would be if he'd fallen in love with his friend beforehand.

And don't worry about it being dark - after all, that just makes it one more thing that sets our harem apart from other.

Dark, tragic back stories can be great when done right, and that sounds interesting.

Like what fruitstripegum said, it's one more thing that makes this harem unique. Speaking of which, I also like the idea of him being in love with Original-Girl-Zhi, and it just makes me picture some line like this, "You would never hurt me, riiiiiiight Hoshiiiiii?"

Granted, that wouldn't really work since he doesn't remember what happened, unless he had no idea what he was even referring too, or if he said that after he remembered. If he's still yandere for Hoshi then. And...I'm rambling. I'll stop now.

Hey everyone, I have an idea for an episode!

Ok, whenever I think of Zhi, for some reason I always imagine he looks like L from Death Note. So, how about an episode which parodies Death Note, with him in L's role (only far more Yandere?)

That's kind of funny, because I kept imagining him as an L-look-a-like too, but with different hair.

And I also just thought of something else, what if Hoshi and Tsutomu lived in an apartment together? Admittingly, it would make it more jarring that he doesn't know her real gender, but there would more opportunities for Accidental Pervert moments, if you guys are interested in that. Plus, it could stir up jealously within the harem. "WHAT?! How come YOU get to live with Hoshi-san?!"

Well, we could have a brief Shout-Out to death note.

Alternatively, they live right next to each other. That could allow for a few Accidental Pervert moments (especially if Hoshi visits him unexpectedly) without making it seem ridiculous.

Ah. That works much better. ^^

Edit: That just made me think of how him finding out Hoshi's gender could go maybe. Just when he's realized that he's bisexual AND in love with Hoshi, he decides to rush over and confess. Through this though, he ends up becoming a hypocrite with all his earlier complaints about Hoshi just "barging in", because he ends up catching her in her bra. And after a minute of taking it in, it finally hits him...

By the way, I've had an idea. How about an episode that parodies Oh My Goddess, or Urusei Yatsura? (Personally, I'm voting for Yatsura, since that one doesn't get enough love.)

You guys are doing it all wrong! I got the perfect idea for a harem. Why dont we make the guy a pimp and the girls around him prostitutes. And we will give the audience some insight on to why and how they became prostitutes and also the guy gets back story on why he is a pimp. And there will be bad guys and they will be based of venereal diseases. Sprinkle some character development on them and we got a story! I call it Pimp Hand!

Anyway, because of the Alternate History, the characters probably haven't heard of Christmas before, so maybe it could be them learning about it? And would it be before or after shit gets real?

Well, that COULD work, though I dunno how we're gonna justify them having never heard of Christmas.

Same way we haven't heard of some of the Japanese holidays, they're too obscure(from their point of view).

Ok, so...how're we gonna make Christmas obscure? I mean, I know it's not really such a big thing in Japan, but even so...
