Inventing Swear Words, Pwning Noobs, Eating Turkey, Drinking Beer, Fishing for Red Snappah, Punting Gnomes, Killing Elves, Teaching Evil, and a Singing Turtle
"Kill Elves. Eat Bacon."

A Machinima made by a guy named Brandon M. Dennis and his friends, based on World of Warcraft. It follows the adventures of a Tauren, Oxhorn, and his friends.

The main parts are Inventing Swear Words, the Myth Arc concerning Oxhorn's guild's attempts to get around the World of Warcraft autocensor, and the Associate Professor Kills All X (X varies) trilogy, which is Exactly What It Says on the Tin. That, and the musical segments.

However, due to being married with a child, Brandon M. Dennis retired from making Machinima on July 17, 2013.

Tropes included in Oxhorn's Short Shorts:

  • 20 Bear Asses: Warlord Gorchuck's quests to Oxhorn in "Red Snappah!".
  • A Day in the Limelight: "Staghorn Gets a Patdown" for Staghorn, Oxhorn's friend.
    • "Thunk Leaves Home" is one for Thunk the Ogre.
  • Academy of Evil: The Evil Alchemist University.
  • Accidental Hero: Associate Professor/Mr. Evil, for his killing of beggars and gold farmers with the former act rewarding him with "The Key to Orgrimmar" and hailed as a hero. Deconstructed as those acts got him demoted by the Evil Alchemist University from Associate Professor to the lowest position imaginable, a graduate student.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Oxhorn as Ox, Staghorn as Stag, and Mortuus as Mort.
  • Affectionate Parody: The "Mighty Morphin' Midget Gnomes" episodes are this towards Power Rangers.
    • The Christmas Songs are all well-known Christmas songs with the lyrics changed to be Warcraft related.
    • The intro song to "Orcs in SPACE! 1" is one to Also Sprach Zarathustra, specifically the part used in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
    • The "Epic Raids" video is one to Happy Days.
    • Hell almost all the songs used in the series are parodied from real songs.
  • All Elections Are Serious Business: What "Behind the Scenes" and "Mister Evil Runs for Office" is all about.
  • All in the Manual: The Oxhorn Brand Wikia on Fandom provides background info on the characters that is not included or even mentioned in the shorts themselves. The information was originally on the official Oxhorn website, but it doesn’t exist anymore.
  • All of the Other Reindeer: According to the Oxhorn Brand Wikia on Fandom, Hat is this. He was born in a little pond in The Barrens, but he could not relate to the other turtles. They all wanted to eat crickets and worms, and while crickets and worms are all fine and dandy, all Hat really wanted to do was sing.
    • Thunk the Ogre. He is considered too polite for an ogre.
  • Alternate Character Interpretation: In "Ox Chop", the Headless Horseman is portrayed as "dying to meet with strangers", and uses cleverly-chopped quotes of his from the game. This meeting can either be considered hilarious or quite disturbing, depending on who you ask. Invoked.
  • Applied Phlebotinum: Creating new and !EVIL! forms of phlebotinum is Associate Professor/Mr. Evil's passion.
  • Artifact Title: Associate Professor Evil, since he got demoted to a grad student, is now just Mr. Evil in-universe since "Associate Professor Evil Kills All Ninja Looters".
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Attack of the Fifty Foot Crab and the Fifty Foot Singing Turtle, at the same time.
  • Author Filibuster: Characters stop to explain why atheists are wrong, or why elves are lame, or why vegetarianism is silly, or which types of pie are best...
  • Author Tract: "The Invisible Pink Unicorn."
  • Badass Teacher / Sensei for Scoundrels: Associate Professor/Mr. Evil, as he works at the Evil Alchemist University.
  • Beleaguered Assistant: Quintus.
    • And eventually Associate Professor/Mr. Evil himself to Quintus.
  • Belief Makes You Stupid: The antagonists in "The Invisible Pink Unicorn" video believe this.
    • "Thunk Leaves Home" features a gnome that gives Thunk a job to help him move his equipment, but takes it back when Thunk praises "The Great Slug" in thanks, which Thunk explains is what Orges believe they descend from. Strangely, the gnome already considered ogres to be idiots, so it’s more that he believes that Belief Makes You Unworthy to Hire.
  • Berserk Button: If Associate Professor/Mr. Evil has his eye on a powerful artifact which you agree to let him have, don't later roll Need on it. He also gets annoyed by (and he hates being annoyed!) beggars, gold farmers, ninja looters, mailbox dancers, super roleplayers, cyberers, gold spammers, bots and "sanctioned molestation" (pat downs).
    • Do not interrupt Lacy's wedding day.
    • Never insult Mozart in front of Hat.
  • Big Eater: Oxhorn, Staghorn, Mortuus, Thunk the Ogre, and surprisingly Hat.
    • "The Great Kodo" implies that a Kodo can devour an entire pumpkin farm for a meal.
  • Big "NO!": Associate Professor Evil, when he get demoted to a graduate student.
    • Staghorn in "Oxhorn's Christmas Special", once he discovers that he cannot enter Outland to attend a Christmas party in Shattrath due to him (and Oxhorn) not having installed The Burning Crusade expansion, and therefore cannot indulge in pecan pie.
  • Brain Bleach: Oxhorn and Staghorn desperately need it after seeing Mort's not particularly attractive girlfriend in her underwear.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: The Mighty Morphin' Midget Gnomes are this, as they have to be bribed with tickets to a "Bull Fight" to go after Lieutenant Colonel Virtue. When they find him, they manage to keep up with him in combat.
  • Can't Argue with Elves: The elves in this universe are haughty and act like they're the Superior Species. But really, they're not.
  • Christmas Carolers: What Oxhorn, Mortuus, and Thunk try and fail to be in "Merry Breakfast" on "Oxhorn's Christmas for Geeks" album.
  • Christmas Episode: Several.
  • Christmas Songs: A whole album called "Oxhorn's Christmas for Geeks", even one of his first video, "Hark! Hear the Wails" was a based on the song, "Silver Bells". He also did a straight version of "Joy to The World" on the album.
    • Interestingly the concept for such an album was discussed earlier during the intermission of "Oxhorn's Christmas Special" with Brandon M. Dennis "promoting" it as "SONGS TO PWN UBAR L 33 T DOODZ TO" by The Hordeshop Quartet, which included "Elf Ears Roasting on an Open Fire", "It's Beginning to Look a Lot like This Raid Isn't Going to Happen", "Hark! Hear the Wails", "We Three Dwarves of Ironforge", "Night Elves We Have Strung on High" (with a version done by the Quartet instead of the "live" Epic Rocking version on "Oxhorn's Christmas for Geeks"), "I Saw Three Rogues" (which was titled as "To Orgrimmar"), "The 12 Days of Winter's Veil" (which wasn't on "Oxhorn's Christmas for Geeks" for some reason), "O Little Town of Bloodhoof Village" (which actually had some lyrics revealed, but was never made into a full song) as well as songs titles that didn't even have lyrics revealed like "My First Epic Item", "I'm Dreaming of a Flying Mount" (both of which were combined and changed to "I'm Dreaming of an Epic Flying Mount"), "Rudolph the Shadow Spec'ed Priest" (changed into a skit named "Rudolph"), "Frosty the Ice Mage" (changed to a skit named "Frosty"), "Joy to The World! My Level Grind is Done" (changed to a straight version of "Joy to The World"), .
  • Clueless Chick-Magnet: Mortuus apparently, as 4 women (a blood elf, night elf, draenei, and human) objected to his marriage to Lacy, saying that he doesn't know what he is missing out on.
  • Creator Cameo: The Giant Floating Head in "Mighty Morphin' Midget Gnomes UNITE!" is Brandon M. Dennis' face in a blue water tank.
  • Crossdressing Voices: Lacy is voiced by Mark Pfaff, who mainly voices Staghorn.
  • Dragon Rider: Mortuus is friends with some dragons, who let him ride them.
  • Dreadful Musician: Zigzagged with Hat. Ox and the gang sometimes critique his singing as being terrible, yet they keep asking him for his talents and even sang at Mortuus and Lacy's wedding.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Mortuus and Oxhorn's Kodo mount Busco actually appeared in videos before any of the characters were given names. Mortuus appeared first in the "Hark! Hear the Wails" and "Wickerman Burning" while Busco first appeared as the star of "The Great Kodo".
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In the first Inventing Swear Words video, Oxhorn is played by Mark Pfaff. In subsequent videos, Oxhorn is played by Brandon M. Dennis himself. (Strangely, Brandon M. Dennis played Mortuus since that first video.)
    • The first "Orcs in SPACE!" video has the voice mannerisms of Dr. Strangeorc and Dink switched compared to "Orcs in SPACE! 2" and the "Orcs in SPACE!" audio skits on the album.
    • Oxhorn is supposed to be a druid, yet in some of his early video appearances outside of the first Inventing Swear Words video, he wears mail armor and also welded a two handed hammer (and magical helmet!). Brandon M. Dennis once tried to explain the inconsistency.
"Many fans have voiced their confusion about Oxhorn, for in many movies he dresses and sounds different. I think about him this way–Oxhorn in the blue suit is the Oxhorn that exists when I am not playing him. The Oxhorn with my voice is me, playing my character Oxhorn. I've probably just made the confusion worse."
    • Lacy was originally named Lauren in her debut appearance in the one of the 4 commercials for mtvU, "Mortuus and Lauren Find a Common Interest".
  • The End... Or Is It?: Said word for word at the end of "Orcs in SPACE!: At the Beach" segment, which was on the "Oxhorn Brand Music" album.
  • Evil Is Petty: Mr. Evil teaches this in "Mighty Morphin' Midget Gnomes UNITE!". He simplifies it down to 3 things that a student needs to be in order to be evil. 1) Know It All, 2) Spoiled, and 3) Despises Authority.
  • Evil Versus Evil: Mr. Evil Versus Quintus in a election to become Dean of the Evil Alchemist University in "Mister Evil Runs for Office". Quintus wins.
  • The Faceless: Staghorn, since he never takes off his helmet, though that is because he believes that the helmet is his face (except for when he states that it is difficult to sing with his helmet on in Episode 5 of the "Inventing Swear Words" series).
  • Fantastic Racism:
"I hate elves. I like beating them, with fishes and things. Cause they got long ears and I don't like long ears, and they're blue, and some of them are pink. Cause I hate elves."
    • There are plenty of gags and even an entire song about punting gnomes, because they are so small and puntable.
"I hate gnomes. I like punting them, off cliffs and things. Cause they got bald heads and I don't like bald heads, and they're small, and some of them are really small. Cause I hate gnomes."
    • In the "Drunken Kodo Riding" video, Oxhorn gets Mistaken for Racist against Orcs, when he gets pulled over by an Orc cop for drunken kodo riding and says that Orcs are the cause of all the wars in the world (Azeroth). He tries to make a public apology afterwards and brings out a female Orc to kiss to prove he does not hate orcs, but the orc in question is too ugly and he takes back his apology.
    • "Thunk Leaves Home" features the Orcs trying to not be this by setting up a sort of charity where they give free money to "all monsters". When Thunk arrived to get money to build a soup kitchen, they tell him he doesn’t qualify due to being humanoid.
    • The Panda Exterminator, there's no place for "cute" in Orgrimmar.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: Hat and Barnaby after their fight.
  • Flat "What": In Inventing Swear Words 5, The GM's response to Staghorn's statement that "warriors are too weak."
  • Four-Man Band: The Hordeshop Quartet, led by Oxhorn with an orc, a troll, and an undead guy to represent the original 4 races of the Horde. They appear in "The Anti-Elf Anthem" video.
  • Funny Background Event: Several in Inventing Swear Words 2. Also, the undead guy and the aircraft in "Oxhorn Tells Off Xfire."
  • Good Is Dumb: Thunk the Ogre. He has no malicious bone in his body, but his lack of intellect usually causes problems for other people.
  • Groin Attack: What the runaway nutcracker from the "Oxhorn's Christmas for Geeks" was seeking to do to Thrall. Averted, in that it was revealed he just wanted to crack Thrall's walnuts.
  • The Grotesque: Lacy. Apparently.
    • Also the female orc in "Drunken Kodo Riding".
  • Hidden Depths: Thunk in "Into the Tin."
Thunk: This is just like Doctor Who!
    • Warlord Gorchuck apparently officiates weddings in his spare time.
    • Mortuus has a delightful singing voice.
    • Barnaby is somehow a music critic.
    • The Master of Euphemisms is also a ferry man.
  • Hippie Teacher: The Hippie Elf from "The Peace Circle" tries to teacher Mortuus, Associate Professor/Mr. Evil and Thunk the Orge about inner peace. He fails when he gets offended when Thunk eats turkeys and goes off on a rant until Evil kills him with "Hippy On".
  • Hypocritical Humor: "Oxhorn Tells Off Xfire". Lampshade hung in the background.
  • I Approved This Message: The first half of "Mister Evil Runs for Office" is presented as Quintus’ Scare Campaign against Mr. Evil in the election for the position of Dean of the Evil Alchemist University and he ends it with this trope.
  • The Igor: Quintus, though after Associate Professor Evil Mr. Evil got demoted, he became rather bossy towards his old master, though he did display some signs of being The Starscream earlier in "Hat vs. Barnaby".
  • I'm a Humanitarian: The Horde, according to the song, "Elf Ears Roasting on an Open Fire". Thankfully they only eat the Alliance races... and Blood Elves.
    • Barnaby, Associate Professor/Mr. Evil's pet crab, according to the Oxhorn Fandom Wiki loves eating elves.
    • Lampshaded by Mortuus when Oxhorn mentions he eats "Steak Sandwiches" on Independence Day.
    • Busco, Oxhorn's kodo, according to the Oxhorn Fandom Wiki harbors a secret delight to nibble on elves. But that is not a common kodo habit—no, he was trained to do that, and trained well.
  • Inexplicably Awesome: Associate Professor/Mr. Evil's class is unknown, with the creator responding to the question of what his class is by stating that he is whatever class you imagine him to be.
Mr. Evil: "What I am my dears, is beyond explanation".
  • Informed Obscenity: The invented swear words 'blit', 'bloit', 'grat', 'chak', 'flak', and 'wolsh.'
  • Insistent Terminology: The Mighty Morphin' Midget Gnomes prefer to be called the Mighty Morphin' Little People Gnomes.
    • Warlord Gorchuck keeps asking for red snapper (pronounced as snappah), even though there is none on Azeroth. He will however substitute it with baked salmon.
  • Instructional Dialogue: Parodied in Oxhorn's Lessons on Music.
  • Intelligible Unintelligible: Mortuus speaks in 1337speak, but no-one around him seems to notice.
  • Jerkass: Warlord Gorchuck. His role in Oxhorn's videos is to be an annoyance and harass the main characters.
  • Jive Turkey: Subverted by the Master of Euphemisms, who pretty much lives up to his name. Simply put, he doesn't need to use slang to make his point, he can "swear" quite effectively using standard US English (with a southern US accent).
    • Played straight with Mortuus, who actually pronounces gamer shorthand phonetically.
  • Just Eat Gilligan: In episode 3 of Inventing Swear Words, the Master of Euphemisms suggests that the trio should simply change their chat filter settings in order to circumvent the censorship of swear words, to which they immediate refute the idea, claiming it would "defeat the purpose of these videos."
  • Keet: Gnomes, especially the Mighty Morphin' Midget Gnomes.
  • Kent Brockman News: Channel Horde News with Phineus and Hackey Bub-wuh.
    Phineus: "Terror in Stormwind!"
  • Killer Rabbit: The reindeer from Oxhorn's Christmas Special.
Oxhorn: "It's the demon-spawn reindeer from hell!"
    • Hat becomes one in "Hat's Practice" segment on the "Oxhorn Brand Music" album.
  • Knight Templar: Lieutenant Colonel Virtue.
  • Mad Scientist: Associate Professor/Mr. Evil.
  • Magical Incantation: Mocks this trope by making long and unnecessary incantations for simple spells. Staghorn even points out the stupidity of it all.
  • Make My Monster Grow: "Come now, Barnaby! Kill all the beggars in Orgrimmar!"
  • Mauve Shirt: Mighty Morphin' Midget Gnomes unite!
  • Meaningful Name: Mortuus is undead. Oxhorn is a tauren (cow-person). Associate Professor/Mr. Evil is Exactly What It Says on the Tin.
    • Francis Baconmeister Sr and Jr from "We Eat Flesh!" run a restaurant that mostly serves bacon.
    • Thunk was named for the sound he made when he fell out of his mommy’s belly.
  • Mind Manipulation: In the "Brainwash Thunk" segment on the "Oxhorn Brand Music" album, Associate Professor/Mr. Evil tries to do this to Thunk through getting him to eat turkey with a secret ingredient. It fails when Thunk eats enough to break the chair he was on... or so it seemed until Evil said turkey, which made Thunk think Evil was his master and saying turkey again made Thunk normal again.
  • Moody Mount: Subverted with Busco, Oxhorn's kodo as he never shown to cause him trouble, unless Oxhorn is drunk driving him.
  • Musical
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Associate Professor/Mr. Evil.
  • Narrative Profanity Filter: Invoked in the finale of the "Inventing Swear Words" series, which has the main trio infiltrate Blizzard HQ in order to change WOW's chat filter by replacing all censored curse words with their invented swear words.
  • Ninja Looting: This is what pushes Associate Professor/Mr. Evil over the edge.
  • Noble Bigot: Oxhorn towards elves and gnomes (and sometimes Orcs). As well as all his friends.
  • No Fourth Wall
  • Not So Above It All: Evan, the dark side of Azeroth in "Orcs in SPACE! 2". While the orcs frustrate him to no end, he can’t help himself but join in when they sing–especially when he gets a solo.
  • Oddball in the Series: Episode 4 of the "Inventing Swear Words" series, as it doesn't involve the gang trying to spread their invented swear words, it instead focuses solely on Mortuus' and Lacy's wedding. It's even lampshaded in Episode 5.
  • Odd Friendship: Associate Professor/Mr. Evil and the main trio, especially the role-playing Staghorn.
  • Old Master: Of euphemisms.
  • One-Hit Kill: "Elf On". Apply directly to an elf. Also "Beggar On" and "Hippie On".
  • One-Liner, Name... One-Liner: Mr. Evil in "Mister Evil Runs For Office" says "One day, Quintus... one.... day" in the bar at the end right before he becomes Lieutenant Colonel Virtue.
  • One-Winged Angel: Lieutenant Colonel Virtue.
  • Only Sane Tauren: Oxhorn.
  • Orphanage of Love: One is featured in "Oxhorn's Christmas Special" and also appears in "Oxhorn's Christmas for Geeks" album.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Lieutenant Colonel Virtue is just Associate Professor/Mr. Evil in different gear. This gets lampshaded in "Mister Evil Runs For Office".
  • Pardon My Klingon: Invoked in the "Inventing Swear Words" series as the main trio come up with 6 words to replace normal swear words to get pass WOW's autocensor and try getting the rest of the WOW community to use them. The words are, as detailed in Oxhorn’s Unabridged Dictionary;
    • GRAT, as an interjection, used to express extreme displeasure, anger, rejection and disgust, often followed by a pronoun, such as “you” or “it” (grat it!). As an adjective or adverb, meaning damned, confounded, bloody (that gratting idiot).
    • CHAK, an adjective or verb, used to modify a noun or pronoun; carries a negative connotation, usually used 1) To strike, act carelessly, wastefully or foolishly (don’t chak him in the thumb); 2) To be in an undesirable position, (I’m chakked).
    • BLIT, a noun or substantive used to describe 1) A malicious, evil, unpleasant, selfish or otherwise contemptible person (Timmy's mom is a blit); 2) Anything difficult or unpleasant (that job was a blit); 3) Any part of anything, whether ones body or a part of an object (I'm going to kick you in the blit).
    • WOLSH, a verb, meaning 1) To strike, act carelessly, wastefully or foolishly; (you wolshed that guy bad); 2)To abuse or manipulate against one’s will; (I was thoroughly wolshed); 3) Any part of anything, whether one’s body or a part of an object; (I was hit in the wolsh).
    • FLAK, a multi-functional word, can be used in nearly any circumstance be it as a person, place, thing or idea, as any action or event, as a modifier of nearly any verb, etc, and often carries an intense or distasteful meaning. As a noun, meaning 1) Any part of anything, whether one’s body or a part of an object; (she thumped me in the flak). 2) To care, be concerned; (I don’t give a flak). As a verb, meaning to be in an undesirable position, (you’re flakked).
    • BLOIT, as a verb, used 1) To complain or gripe (stop bloitting); 2) To fumble, mess up, drop the ball (I bloitted that one); 3) To strike, act carelessly, wastefully or foolishly (he bloitted me in the foot). As a phrasal verb, meaning 1) To shirk one’s duty (just bloit it), 2) To go away: used as an exclamation of impatience (bloit off!); 3) To waste time (I bloitted all day). As a interjection, it is used to express anger, rejection and disgust, often followed by a pronoun, such as “you” or “it” (go bloit yourself). As an adjective or adverb, meaning damned, confounded, or bloody, (that bloitting politician).
  • Perky Goth: Mortuus is one of the few male examples out there.
  • Pet the Dog: "The Great Kodo" is about why the Kodo is the best riding mount in Azeroth.
    • Oxhorn inviting the 2 elves (one night and one blood) that kidnapped him earlier in the video to join his Christmas party in "Oxhorn's Christmas Tree".
    • Associate Professor/Mr. Evil apparently goes to an orphanage every Christmas to tell the children Christmas stories, despite how much they get on his nerves.
    • According to the Oxhorn Fandom Wiki, the other 3 members of The Hordeshop Quartet were once beggars singing for gold, but instead of lecturing them like he would usually do, Oxhorn decided to propose his quartet scheme, to which they agreed.
  • The Pig-Pen: Staghorn, as he almost never takes off his armour. He finally takes a bath in "Inventing Swear Words 5".
    • Thunk the Orge apparently never washes his loincloth and even says its frequently gives him a rash.
  • Politically Correct Villain:
    • Generally the elves are this.
    • Invoked by Mr. Evil in "Mister Evil Runs for Office". Even though most of is Blatant Lies to make him look better.
Mr. Evil: "I want to assure the public that I am truly evil. I recycle everyday. I eat vegan meals and ride a hydrid kodo." beat showing a picture of the hybridized kodo. "I embrace political correctness and snuff out any opposing thought on campus. When my students speak of fiscal responsibility, I flog them with a tire iron. Ladies and gentlemen, I am your man."
  • Product Placement: Parodied in the video for "Like the Game."
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: Orcs! In! Space!
  • Real Men Love Jesus: The credits always end by giving all glory to Jesus Christ.
  • Real-Person Cameo: Warlord Gorchuck is a real NPC in World of Warcraft.
    • Thrall also appeared in "Associate Professor Evil Kills All Beggars".
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Associate Professor/Mr. Evil gives one to every group he later kills. Except the ninja looters, he was too angry to say anything and just roared.
    • In "Oxhorn's Christmas Tree", Oxhorn gives one to the elves that kidnapped him. He says that he doesn't hate elves maliciously, but that he hates their long ears, flawless skin, their stupid dance animations, and that the only reason people want to be elves in Warcraft is because of Orlando Bloom's portrayal of Legolas from The Lord of the Rings.
  • Recycled In Space: "Orcs in SPACE!"
  • Recycled Soundtrack: The original (vocalless) video for "The Great Kodo" uses an Irish folk tune called "The King of The Fairies" by The Irish Rovers as the music. The updated video used a similar sounding tune based off it by Sepheritoh of Dog on Blue Studios with Brandon M. Dennis adding his vocals and original lyrics.
  • Refugee from TV Land - Oxhorn, Staghorn, Mortuus, and Lt. Colonel Virtue end up in real-life Seattle at the end of "Into the Tin."
  • Ridiculously Average Guy: How the Oxhorn Fandom Wiki describes Oxhorn.
"Oftentimes people will say that they are related to Thrall or Cairne or some other prominent figure in some way, like being Thrall’s nephew’s cousin’s tutor’s massage therapist, but Oxhorn isn't related to anyone special. No, his parents were just two hard-working Tauren that lived perfectly hum-drum lives."
    • Perhaps downplayed, given that he is still a Druid, proficient in Animorphism and healing magic.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: Hat the singing turtle. Barnaby, Associate Professor/Mr. Evil's pet crab can be considered one too to some people.
  • Satellite Character: Staghorn, to Oxhorn and Mortuus.
    • Justified: He's voiced by a different person (Mark Pfaff), as is Lacy. Mark has trouble going through a normal recording session (as evidenced by the bloopers) and would not like to be the star of a machinima. Nevertheless, Staghorn has starred in a movie where Oxhorn was not even present.
  • Secret Santa: The "Oxhorn's Christmas for Geeks" album has a segment that featured this tradition. No one likes the gifts they got. Except Mortuus, because he picked himself.
  • Sex Sells: Parodied in "Inventing Swear Words 2", as Mortuus' idea to advertise the gang's swear words. Unfortunately, he suggested Lacy as the model.
  • Shrouded in Myth: The Master of Euphemisms.
  • Shout-Out: Gnome Wrangling by A. Chimendez.
  • Single-Target Sexuality: Mortuus to Lacy.
  • Snake Oil Salesman: The Orna-Prints Salesman from the "Oxhorn's Christmas for Geeks" album. He unfortunately tries to do business with Mortuus and leaves in tears.
  • Soul Eating: Associate Professor/Mr. Evil's interpretation of Frosty the Snowman on "Oxhorn's Christmas for Geeks" has him doing this to stay alive in the first place, which he also explains is why he hangs around children. He dies when he eats the soul of an Emo Teen, which poisons him to death due to the teen refusing to take any pleasure in life.
  • Squick: DEAD COW BABIES... "Dead Cowbies!" Invoked.
  • Stylistic Suck: "Orcs in SPACE!".
  • Superpowered Evil Side: Inverted with Lieutenant Colonel Virtue, the Superpowered good side of Associate Professor/Mr. Evil.
  • Take That!: To Perez Hilton in the "Dalaran's Costume Contest" video.
    • To atheists is the "The Invisible Pink Unicorn" video.
    • "Oxhorn's Lessons on Music", which are sometimes featured at the end of certain videos is basically this to certain genres of music like American Pop, J-Pop, Screamo, Eurovision, and Rap (twice).
  • Talking Animal: Hat, the singing turtle.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: The Hippy Elf from the "The Peace Circle", according to the Oxhorn Fandom Wiki, also appears in "Thunk Leaves Home" and "Staghorn Gets a Pat Down" even though he died in "The Peace Circle", instead of being different elves.
    • The night and blood Elf killed "The Invisible Pink Unicorn" video turned up alive "Oxhorn’s Christmas Tree" to kidnap Oxhorn. The night elf (called the Arrogant Elf in the Oxhorn Fandom Wiki) also made an appearance in "We Eat Flesh!" and also voice only appearances in "Associate Professor Kills All Beggars" (where he says his name is "Kent Treehugger") and "Associate Professor Evil Kills All Ninja Looters" during both videos credits, where he was also killed in both.
    • It is however shown that Resurrection is a normal thing, so it may qualify as Death Is Cheap.
  • This Loser Is You: Several cases, but most obvious is "Like the Game."
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Staghorn's pecan pie, Thunk's turkey, and Warlord Gorchuk's RED SNAPPAH. According to the Oxhorn Fandom Wiki, Barnaby's is elf.
  • Twisted Christmas: Associate Professor/Mr. Evil's interpretation of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on the "Oxhorn's Christmas for Geeks" album, ends with Santa thinking it is too much trouble to hire Rudolph thanks to a lawyer explaining child labour laws and Rudolph getting shot by said lawyer to made "Reindeer Sausages".
  • Undying Loyalty: Barnaby to Associate Professor/Mr. Evil. According to the Oxhorn Fandom Wiki, When Evil found him, Barnaby was trying to catch cheese from a river. Mister Evil pointed out that it is impossible to catch cheese from a river, and Barnaby realized that he made a good point. He was so impressed by Mister Evil’s smarts (and the bit of cheese he gave him) that Barnaby decided to follow him.
  • Unusual Euphemism: A whole series (the Inventing Swear Words series) is dedicated to this, using the following unusual euphemisms: 'blit', 'bloit', 'grat', 'chak', 'flak', and 'wolsh.'
  • The Usual Adversaries: Elves.
  • Villain Protagonist: Associate Professor/Mr. Evil.
  • Verbal Tic: Mortuus. "Leet hax pwnt roflmao kzzt bbtheq!" "Roxors boxors, pwnt!" "Lol omg wtg dairy queen lol omg bbtheq."
  • We Can Rule Together: Lieutenant Colonel Virtue offers this to the Mighty Morphin' Midget Gnomes in "Mighty Morphin' Midget Gnomes UNITE!". He takes it back when they tell him their only reason in fighting him is to get tickets to watch a "Bull Fight".
  • Willfully Weak: Staghorn is level 33 because he spends most of his time roleplaying with his guild "Reluctance", who are about half his level, instead of level grinding. This unfortunately gets him into trouble when he has to tag along to places way above his level. Yet in the video "Mighty Morphin' Midget Gnomes UNITE!" Staghorn actually beats Oxhorn in a "Bull Fight".
  • The Worf Effect: The Mighty Morphin’ Midget Gnomes in their first appearance in "Hat vs. Barnaby" due to their combined form being a leper gnome. They later used a more powerful form in "Mighty Morphin’ Midget Gnomes UNITE!" to match with Lieutenant Colonel Virtue.
  • Worthy Opponent: The Dwarfs in "The Anti-Elf Anthem" video. Instead of chasing away the Hordeshop Quartet, like the elf and human cities did (the gnomes didn't have their own city at the time), they instead decided to party with the Quartet to celebrate their mutual dislike of elves.
  • Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe: Staghorn, very much. In later videos it starts slipping into self-parody.
  • Your Mom: The Vulgar Trolls that Thunk the Ogre meets in "Thunk Leaves Home" love this trope. In "Orcs in SPACE! 1", one of their insults to passing meteors is this trope.
Dink: "Ha ha! Stupid meteor, your momma's a grain of sand!"
Dr Strange Orc: "Yeah! Your mom's a grain of sand!"

I think this might be Seattle.

After getting pulled into the pie tin, Oxhorn, Staghorn and Mortuus wind up getting transported to Seattle.

How well does it match the trope?
