"its pizza time!.. except theres only one pizza. so what do you do? descend into a barbaric display of greed as you try to get the pizza, of course!"
awe921, opening post

Troper lands a One-Hit Kill on the previous owner, knocking them out cold as they take the pizza. They cannot help but notice a page attached on its topping, and soon they start reading it...

GET THAT PIZZA! is an ongoing roleplay thread on our Forum Games section. It was started on October 27, 2019, by Awe921. A spinoff, GET THAT PIZZA!: REBAKED, was created on Trouble Cube on January 23rd, 2021, though the original thread remains active.

The premise is simple. There is a pizza. Everyone wants it. Everyone who posts must take the pizza in some way. What follows is an endless string of increasingly violent and complex actions as the tropers fight each other in a variety of ways, all for the sake of pizza time.

This pizza contains examples of:

  • Aborted Arc:
    • Melecie was supposed to originally go insane and have a Face–Heel Turn, lashing out at everyone who takes the pizza, however after Melecie returned on page 68 this was cancelled.
    • President Dvorak trying to smooth things over after a limited nuclear exchange with France was dropped after 3 pages.
  • A God Am I: On page 108, Janky Kong declares himself to be the god of pizza after he is revived from being crushed by a meteor previously. He then subsequently gets defeated by a single elbow bash from SomeLibre, meaning that this form was most likely just for show.
  • Another Dimension: The fight for the pizza has spanned many universes, including Heaven, Hell, "A dimension where Dvorak never got his ship blown up, but is otherwise identical", one where everyone is an economist, and one that's exactly the same, except everyone's name is backwards, and a fantasy world where The Pizza is part of the Creation Myth (and that's not even most of them).
  • Anarchy Is Chaos: When Wm abolished money, he specified that this was the kind of anarchy to break out. Later on, however, Madame Butterfly Knife makes a post set in an anarcho-communist commune, which is explicitly not this trope.
  • Animate Inanimate Object: The pizza is briefly made self-aware and psychic. It then splits into three Pokémon-esque critters for a time before being forcibly merged with every other pizza in existence.
  • Anthropic Principle: Nobody can ever actually chow down on the pizza, because then the game will end. People who (somehow)destroy it are generally good enough sports to order a new one to keep the game alive.
  • Anti-Climax: After TomoeHawk's entire flashy barge-in intro, she's killed by Sylvi with little to no effort whatsoever; not even in a blaze of glory, she's just zapped into dust. Its headmate Robin points out the anticlimax himself.
  • Anyone Can Die: The tropers frequently kill each other to get the pizza. However, since players can do anything, anyone can also come Back from the Dead so they can keep playing.
  • Apocalypse How:
    • Bluethorn uses a Giratina to open a hole in the fabric of reality. This results in a Class X-4 apocalypse, AKA the destruction of the universe. Fortunately, everyone was able to relocate to a new universe.
    • Dhiruxide casts a replication spell on a slice of pizza so everyone can have some. it replicates so much that it floods the universe in pizza. THAT universe is ALSO abandoned tute suite.
    • Lower down on the scale, Wm caused an apocalypse that sits somewhere between class 0 and class 2 when he abolished money, thus crashing the global economy and causing chaos in the streets, which several tropers took advantage of to get the pizza.
    • A Class X-5 occurs with Chuck-e-Cheese finally obtains the pizza, turning it Hawaiian and consuming It. He begins overtaking the plane of existence after ascending into a godlike form. Though nothing bad really happened afterward, with Chuck-e-Cheese having new threats to deal with.
    • A Class X-3(closer to a Class X-4, in fact) is brought on by Laniakea ( the main god of the stars and the universe) and The Cosmic Ark(a spaceship so long it has to be measured in light-years!), by setting off vacuum decay numerous times inside the Virgo Supercluster and then ripping the undestroyed galaxies around it into their constituent quarks and leptons.
    • One player even managed to cause a Class Z-1 by use of the Reality Bomb. Fortunately but somehow, the pizza omniverse came out fine.
    • Afterward created a whole new universe after someone actually managed to eat The Pizza by meditating on the nature of reality, games, and pizza for several aeons.
  • Arc Villain:
    • Chuck E. Cheese has been leading an army to capture the pizza, turn into Hawaiian to subsequently control all of reality. He had The Dragon in the form of M1gami, only to replace him with Negami, an evil clone of his. Negami himself seems be the most actively malicious of those trying to get to the pizza.
    • William Afton is also shaping up to be this. Not only is he out to get the pizza, but he's also plotting to make Freddy Fazbear's Pizza the ONLY pizzeria in all of existence. Chica was originally The Dragon, but it's later revealed that she was only pretending, and that William promised her that he'd reunite her with her friends.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: West's new pizza after blasting Dhir and the previous pizza with a destruction ray is made of dew from Mount Tai, flour from two ears of wheat from Chinese Heaven, meat from a celestial chicken and... some cheese mix brought at the supermarket.
  • As Himself: The tropers play fictionalized versions of themselves with enhanced powers and weapons.
  • A-Team Firing: Florien is a lousy shot, and their attempts to take the pizza with guns tend to result in them switching to a backup plan or unintentionally hitting just what they need to hit.
  • Body Backup Drive: Dvorak had several backup bodies stored on his spaceship, including an (ex-)millionaire and a zombie cyborg Undead Abomination called "Devourak."
  • Boring, but Practical: Whistle sometimes resorts to this, such as cutting off others' hands to get the pizza, or lighting Foreman up with a propane tank to make them explode.
  • Born Unlucky: Moon whenever she's in Florida - she'll always wind up buried in something, no matter what.
  • Brick Joke:
    • On page 63, Melecie casually fires an arrow in the sky and disappears from the thread. He returns by the end of page 68, where the shot arrow multiples and comes back down on Superjohn's monster truck.
    • Moonstone was shown to have a friend working for Pizza Angel and tried taking the pizza to them on page 84, and later on the following page, was revealed to be a pizza delivery person working for the same company, hence why she went to deliver the pizza.
    • Moon also uses the fact that she got buried in rainbow soap in Florida to her advantage against Florien and Florian.
  • The Bus Came Back: Dvorak came back to chase the pizza midway down page 151 after a long absence studded with cameos where he'd chase the Pizza for a post or two for old time's sake.
  • Call-Back:
    • On page 21, MadameButterflyKnife slits Dhiruxide's throat to get the pizza, commenting that sometimes the best solution is the quickest one. Dhir returns the favor later on the page when he shoots Knife in the head for the pizza, again commenting the best solution is the quickest one. And once Dhir annihilates most the universe to be alone with the pizza, Knife beheads him. Once again, the best solution is the quickest one.
    • KungFuCutBug walks out of an Unrealistic Black Hole unharmed, steals the pizza, and walks back in on page 22. They do it again (stealing the pizza from the same troper, no less) on page 26.
    • Dookie Idiot Nimrod has a post that runs on this. from bringing back two of his original characters, Dookie and Nimrod, to adding a story to his first original character, Idiot. To even explaining why the pizza is so addicting in the first place. He even wraps Nine Tailed Cat’s lab and Awe921 taking the pizza in the first place.
    • EVIL Foreman is a George Foreman grill from a universe when Foreman was never turned back into a human. His goal is even to destroy the pizza, like what Foreman did when he was turned into a grill.
    • KungFuCutBug manages to swipe the pizza by abusing wind powers granted to them via a Fujin cosplay on page 27. They use the cosplay to their advantage again on page 42, although this time they use his katana instead of his wind manipulation.
  • Call-Forward: At one point, Awe gained time travel powers. He then "went back in time" by editing a lot of his first-page posts to be interactions with his other selves, though they always ended with the pizza being yoinked anyway.
  • Catapult to Glory: Dvorak uses his ship's mass driver cannon instead of a catapult, relying on the great ruddy hole he just rammed in his opponents hull to take them out while he collects the pizza.
  • The Cameo: The Succubus from Things Bob is Not Allowed to Do on TV Tropes makes an appearance; helping Dvorak escape the police in exchange for a (literal) peice of the pie.
  • Chekhov's Boomerang: A NotThem from The Magnus Archives is used by an individual identified as QuackityHQ with a Vtuber persona to make Sylvi give up her pizza under the threat of being Ret-Gone from every story she has ever existed in. Another NotThem stabs Ronald McDonald and splits the pizza between Benbot and Libre.
  • Clothes Make the Superman: KungFuCutBug's schtick is wearing cosplays of fictional characters and subsequently assuming their powers.
  • Colour-Coded for Your Convenience: Since Sylvi is plural, she and her headmates speak in different colors to distinguish themselves. Sylvi uses pink, Robin uses blue, Anabiel uses gold, Dream uses green, and so forth.
  • Comedic Sociopathy: The entire thread runs on this. No sane people would resort to such violent acts over a pizza, but the tropers in this thread do because it's funnier that way.
  • Continuity Nod: Awe921 throws a bullet at DrNoPuma back in page 1, and does it again in page 22.
  • Courtroom Antics: A common gag (albeit one that hasn't hit Running Gag status as of current edits) is for people to sue the previous owner and take the pizza as compensation.
  • Crossover:
  • Clone Army: This appears to be Psycho Ban’s gimmick, but in the new dimension, Psych Ban #6’s ghost has seemed to overshadow the original.
  • Death Is Cheap: Tropers get killed in a wide variety of ways, but always come back to make another go at the pizza. Even being erased from the timeline won't stop them for long.
  • Deal with the Devil: Risdio has apparently made a deal with Satan: some pizza for a fraction of his power. Risdio later just gives up on the goal, using Klingon Promotion to gain Satan’s powers for himself to get the pizza.
  • Demon of Human Origin: This apparently happened to Superjohn during his training in Hell to fight Dvorak.
  • Determinator: Everyone. Timeline abortions, fatal wounds, the pizza already being eaten, NOTHING is going to stop the Tropers from trying to get the pizza. Helps that Death Is Cheap.
  • The Dividual: Florien becomes half of a dividual after teaming up with Florian, an unrelated person who happens to have a similar name. They've always appeared together since then, coming up with elaborate (and not so elaborate) two person plans to steal the Pizza.
  • A Dog Named "Dog": Nine-Tailed Cat is typically portrayed as an actual cat with nine tails.
  • Dogged Nice Guy: As time went on, Tzaoray went from attempting to eat the pizza to attempting to court it into a romantic relationship through pickup lines, dates, serenading, and a wedding.
  • Double Entendre: Superjohn once trained a Sand Worm to help him steal the pizza. He rewards its good behavior with headpats. Dvorak steals the pizza while Superjohn's busy "petting the worm."
  • Dragged Off to Hell: Superjohn has used this on players in order to get the pizza, unfortunately for him, those players were able to escape.
  • Dude, Not Funny!: Foreman vandalized this very page to get the Pizza. People didn't take too kindly to the joke, and he was soft-banned from the thread.
  • Earth-Shattering Kaboom:
    • On page 35, Risdio51 slices the planet Foodcourtia in half with a giant laser. The Earth itself gets blown up by NineTailedCat's starship fleet two pages later.
    • On page 108: Neptune explodes. It's heavily implied that Janky Kong was responsible, as it occured in one of his posts, but he denied involvement.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Moon and Co don't take kindly to people stealing brains from others, as Brain Kuza learnt the hard way on page 90. On a meta level, Smily themself wouldn't allow it either.
  • Evil Is Petty: Libre destroys what is essentially the entire Vtuber industry, despite easily getting the Pizza from Sylvi without involving any Vtubers at all. The only excuse he has is to provide story material from which major Story Arcs can be made later on.
  • Evil Overlord: Dvorak set himself up as a stereotypical Evil Overlord with the requisite army of orcs and skeletons.
  • Fake Town: Superjohn creates an entire fake San Francisco just to lure Nine Tailed Cat into a trap. How he created an entire fake city so quickly is unknown.
  • Fantastic Racism: Mad has prejudice against pepperoni and is a pineapple supremacist.
  • Fight for the Last Bite: The Tropers are fighting because there is only one pizza (or, rather, only one pizza worth having) and everyone wants it.
  • Forced Transformation: Dvorak had, at one point, been turned into a frog. This didn't quell his lust for the pizza's cheesy goodness for even a moment. Additionally, Foreman was once turned into a George Foreman grill.
  • Fusion Dance:
  • Gemstone Assault:
    • Many of Melecie's posts involve him creating diamonds from thin air and throwing them at the opposition.
    • Taken literally with the introduction of Gems, who have been assaulted on several occasions in the thread.
  • Get Out!: Foreman's banning, caused by him editing this very page to get the pizza.
  • Genius Loci: Fake San Francisco ends up being a giant Venus flytrap which is actually Whistle.
  • God Modders: A rare roleplay where godmodding is encouraged. Everyone is meant to be equally overpowered so that they can keep coming up with creative ways to kill each other and/or come back from the dead at a rapid pace.
  • Haunted Headquarters: Dvorak's spaceship, courtesy of himself.
  • Heart Beat-Down: TomoeHawk uses a beam of love to erase JKBenbot and snag the pizza.
  • Heel–Face Turn:
    • M1gami, after Chuck-e-Cheese tries killing him for his failures to obtain the pizza and being subsequently replaced by Negami. M1gami swore to ensure that his former master would never obtain the pizza.
    • Chica is originally The Dragon to William Afton, betraying PM, MP's Alternate Self, but defects to MP's side after MP promises to reunite her with her friends.
  • Holy Hand Grenade: Madame Butterfly Knife's preferred method of dispatching her fellow pizza chasers is by using her angelic abilities to deliver a divine smite with any one of her bladed weapons.
  • Hunting the Most Dangerous Game: On Superjohns private island he engages in this, presumably in between Pizza thefts.
  • Impersonating an Officer: Janky Kong does this on Page 127 in an attempt to confiscate the pizza from a pod of seals.
  • Impossibly Delicious Food: Only The Pizza is worth eating (which is why nobody just orders their own), cementing it's MacGuffin status.
"It must be THE Pizza, or Noid take it!"
  • Insane Troll Logic: Apparently, the fact that Earth keeps getting blown up and reconstituted means it's also after the pizza...
  • It Works Better with Bullets: KingKong118 holds another player at gunpoint to force them to hand over the pizza, only to realize he forgot to load it with ammo. Predictably, it doesn't end well for him.
  • Item Get!: Florien plays it straight, but then Awe921 parodies it as each bullet Awe shoots at Florien triggering the 'item get' message.
  • Karma Houdini: Despite being exposed by MP, Sylvi ultimately gets away with cheating at Centipede (1998) speedruns because she's so popular that her fanbase doesn't actually care. This was a reference to the then-recent accusations against Dream of cheating in his Minecraft 1.16 speedrun, which had a similar outcome of not particularly diminishing his popularity.
  • Killed Off for Real:
    • In this post, Foreman uses a genie’s last wish to permanently destroy EVIL Foreman (as they wanted to retire the character).
    • In this post, Dhiruxide decided to retire from the game, so he gets incinerated by a lightning bolt after taking the pizza from Tory.
    • In this post, Foreman themself apologizes for vandalizing this work page and dies because he's unworthy.
  • Killed Offscreen: A NotThem posing as QuackityHQ splits the pizza between Benbot and Libre. Given that a NotThem was previously used by an individual identified as Quackity to get Sylvi to surrender the pizza and the creature's capability of killing and taking place of an individual (even retconning the users existence out), it's implied that he got killed by said NotThem.
  • Killer Game Master: Awe921 assumes the role of DM so he can impose ludicrous circumstantial penalties on his rivals or just kill them outright with falling rocks.
  • Kill Sat:
  • Killer Yo-Yo: On page 176, coemedypink uses a yo-yo to knock LucasdaKool out. It has become coemedypink's main weapon since then.
  • MacGuffin Melee: The pizza changes owners every post as the Tropers figure out ways to get it for themselves.
  • Machete Mayhem: Superjohn has killed several people using a Machete during October. One wonders if he's referencing any media.
  • Made of Indestructium: The pizza. All the ways the tropers kill each other, no matter how destructive, usually leave it intact. On rare occasions, however, someone gets/has to get a new pizza or needs to remove the grime on the existing one.
  • Magical Girl Warrior: TomoeHawk. Her entire reveal makes it comically clear - flamboyant pose, dramatic entrance, providing the reason for JKBenbot's eradication...
  • Mêlée à Trois: Exaggerated. Literally everyone is against each other, and anyone will hurt anyone else to get the pizza. Subverted with Bluethorn, DrNoPuma, and TropesForever, who eventually formed their own alliance when it came time for them to post after each other.note
  • Me's a Crowd: NineTailedCat has multiple labs for cloning himself, both to help in his pizza-stealing schemes and to take his place when he gets killed.
  • Missing Steps Plan: EVIL Foreman's EVIL plan: Step 1, crash stock market; step 2, ?; step 3, destroy pizza.
  • The Mole: It's revealed that William Afton and Chica are these to the Grand Masters of Pizza. They promptly throw MP and the other Grand Masters out of Black Heart's airlock, and take the pizza for themselves.
  • Moon Rabbit: They appear when West snatches the pizza from jaketroper, but they are all sucked by Wm in an Anti-Pesto outfit.
  • Multilayer Façade: Wm's constant use of disguises has led some other tropers to disguise themselves as him disguised as other people. This, in turn, leads him to disguise himself as those tropers in their disguises, which then gets copied by other people disguised as him, and so on.
  • Named Like My Name: Dream of Tempest System happens to share a name with a certain YouTuber famous for playing Minecraft, and so the narration reflexively refers to her as "Dream (not that one)".
  • Near-Villain Victory: After Dvorak successfully executes his scheme to ressurrect a dead god to get The Pizza, he is actually able to eat it, and can get it from anywhere in the multiverse at a snap of his (patron's) fingers. He decides that Victory Is Boring about one slice in, and even The Pizza itself is no longer satisfying if he can just have it whenever he wants. His patron reveals that's what it had been trying to teach Dvorak since he became a supervillain, and sent the pizza along to another player
  • Never Recycle Your Schemes: On Page 121, Janky Kong sends PETA after Matthew after the latter murders a fennec fox. Two pages later, after Matthew is revealed to be the owner of a dog pound, Janky uses the exact same plan a second time. However, the first time, he fails to escape after being shot by Blank, while the second time, he gets blindsided by Superjohn, who had disguised themselves as one of PETA's members.
  • New Powers as the Plot Demands: The tropers are constantly using new powers that don't have to be established beforehand. Enforced because the focus is maybe 1% on telling a structured story, and 99% on causing hilarious mayhem.
  • No-Dialogue Episode: Inverted in the form of a dialogue-only episode in page 93, where Libre steals Sean's dynamite, throws it back ignited, and steals the pizza post-explosion. MP lampshades the out-of-place nature of the scene by giving Libre a slice of pizza to eat, before shooting him.
MP: Sorry, newbie. It's just business.
  • No Fourth Wall: Palindromee operates on this, exploiting the forum-based nature of the game in order to perform extranarrative actions to get the pizza. It fails catastrophically, permanently removing hir from existence after just two posts.
  • No MacGuffin, No Winner: EVIL Foreman's goal is to destroy the pizza so nobody can have it.
  • Not My Driver:
    • Superjohn, being fond of hiring getaway vehicles, often finds them hijacked by someone else making their own attempt at getting that pizza.
    • Dream Tempest has a fondness for hijacking vehicles to get that pizza. In one instance, she steals a vehicle for no reason whatsoever, and admits that she might just be "addicted to stealing cars". She eventually turns it into a Semantic Superpower, allowing her to hijack and drive completely arbitrary things, up to and including houses.
  • Odd Job Gods: Vyoj becomes The Devine Of Unhealthy Yet Tasty Food And Drink in page 82 by accidentally passing a Secret Test of Character in a drunken stupor. Using this power, he conjures the pizza and enhances the taste of it using magic.
  • Offscreen Teleportation: Since the narrative is focused on pizza acquisition, players can just spawn in where they want to be instead of having to get there.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: Alicorn Gaia usually ends up trying to make use of the pizza to destroy all realities, with the goal being at least a Class X-4, giving the pizza to Darkseid who would then cause a Class X-5 with the pizzanote , or even unleashing a Z2 or even Z3. Thankfully, it never gets to succeed. Not that it stops him from trying.
  • One-Hit Kill: Enforced. Each player must do something to take the pizza from its current owner within one post. This often necessitates killing the pizza's owner in one move, if you opt to use violence in the first place.
  • One-Shot Character: Palindromee was present for precisely two posts, and hir only actions were to violate the laws of narrative causality to retrieve the pizza as a device, shoot hirself in the foot by violating the timeline via misuse of the fourth-wall abilities, and disappear in a Puff of Logic.
  • One-Steve Limit: MP has introduced William Afton into the Pizzaverse. One of the game's regular players is William Radar Storm. The latter William has occasionally made posts where he tries to take advantage of the limit being violated.
  • Only in Florida: Obviously, thanks to the actions of the others, Florida winds up being weirder than usual - and that's saying something.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Some players, particularly those with longer usernames, will shorten their names to something catchier and less verbose. William Radar Storm, for example, always shortens his name to "Wm".
  • Opportunistic Bastard: On Page 129, Janky Kong witnesses NineTailedCat tripping over a tripwire, but had no involvement in the tripwire being placed. He uses it as an opportunity to steal the pizza regardless.
  • Other Me Annoys Me: Sylvi has several Alternate Selves, and they all feel an inexplicable deep-seated irritation at each other. Sylvis encountering each other, in any context, is a surefire recipe for violence.
  • Point of Divergence: Downplayed. R3Ked uses the abilities of Super Mario 3D All-Stars to use FLUDD near the top of page 88. On the next post, PurpleEyedGuma fast-forwards time to April 1st, 2021 to make FLUDD disappear, catching R3Ked off-guard. Two posts later, time rewinds back to when FLUDD disappeared. However, this time FLUDD doesn't dissapear, leaving R3Ked not off-guard and letting him keep the pizza.
  • Our Presidents Are Different: Whosoever bears the Sigil of Economy also runs the US Government. This is simply incidental to GETTING THAT PIZZA, often by sending federal agents or declaring it government property.
  • Prevent the War: Someone once nuked France in order to get the pizza. President Dvorak let them nuke Wisconsin as an apology, then planned to smooth things over with a pizza party. Of course, it kept getting pilfered by the other players.
  • Puff of Logic: How the short-lived player Palindromee met hir end. Ze attempted to retrieve the pizza from the very beginning of the thread before the fight even began, which evidently upset the Powers That Be and laws of causality enough to utterly remove hir from existence.
  • Put on a Bus: Partway down page 66, longtime player Dvorak announced his departure from the game. Wm, Ninetails and Superjohn saw him off by setting their respective posts at a going away party for him.
  • Reference Overdosed: The tropers will frequently use weapons or items from various works of fiction, or enlist various fictional characters to help them get the pizza. The pizza is also implied to come from Foodcourtia, explaining why literally everyone is willing to do such dark and depraved stuff to get it.
  • Refugee from TV Land: MP turns every single piece of fiction into this in page 94, which includes all of the Vtuber characters after Libre destroyed the whole industry via doxxing. One effect of this is two of NineTailedCat's characters (Silvia Ceniza and Bright Eyes) stealing the pizza from madface7 and betraying their creator afterwards.
  • Repulsive Ringmaster: Page 130 reveals Janky Kong to be the ringmaster of a Circus of Fear where he forces vjol (who was a cat at the time) to perform dangerous stunts in front of a live audience, then refuses to give the pizza back.
  • Reset Button: Janky Kong attempts to do this on Page 106, but things very quickly escalate back to how they were before. It's very possible that the other players all have Ripple-Effect-Proof Memory.
  • Ret-Gone: Sylvi has a "psycho banhammer" (so named because it was first used on Psycho Ban) from outside space and time that can be used to erase people from the timeline. She does not have Ripple-Effect-Proof Memory, so she's always very confused after using it.
  • Rocket-Tag Gameplay: Anyone can easily take the pizza from the previous poster, often injuring or killing them in the process, but there's nothing to protect them from whatever the next poster might do in turn.
  • Running Gag:
    • Wm's main shtick is his constantly-changing disguises.
    • Florien's thefts of the pizza from Superjohn frequently involve hitting Superjohn with a vehicle in some way.
    • Superjohn will call for a taxi, only to either get captured or killed by a player driving the Taxi.
    • Moon being flattened by a pile of stuff every time she does so much as to set foot in Florida.
  • Running Gagged: After wielding the Phantom Ruby for nearly all of his posts, Guma destroys it in this post, which states that they are “finally satisfied with themself”. However, he later gets replacements in the form of the Phantom Ruby 2 and the Ruby wielded by his alternate-dimension counterpart.
  • Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: Foreman's shtick. To wit, he so far has bought this entire site, Apple, and of course, the pizza. It takes not just 3 different financial collapses, but the destruction of Earth to take it away from him, and even then he went back to buy the SCP foundation.
  • Serial Escalation: Played with. While tropers can steal the pizza in any way at any time, meaning less impressive ways can still be used as the thread goes on, it's only natural that the tropers would come up with more complex ways as the thread goes on. Lampshaded by Awe, after Bluethorn accidentally causes a Class X-4 apocalypse.
"Awe921 looks back at the first page and reminisces about the days when the worst thing that happened to him was merely a bullet."
  • Sdrawkcab Name: In this post, Superjohn takes the pizza to an alternate universe where everyone has this. Several tropers afterwards take this detail and run with it.
  • Shut Up, Kirk!: On page 91, part of Yayakuza's soul takes the pizza, gives a speech on why chasing it is pointless, and drops it, hoping to end the pizza war. On the very next post, madface7 picks it up, with the pizza unaffected, then the fight continues.
madface7: no fuck you that's not gonna happen. My predecessor tried that and it didnt work, at all.
  • Silence Is Golden: The thread has very little if any dialogue. This helps keep the story simple and the pace fast. Libre's first post ends up violating this, which is responded by MP with a slice of pizza because of Libre being a newcomer at the time.
  • Spell Book: Melecie has one, the Crystal's Mystia, which has various magical spells and powers copied on it including part of the Sigil of Economics, as well as a unique spell allowing him to summon illusion-like beings from his mind whether real or fictional. These beings are known as Memories.
  • Spoof Aesop: According to Sylvi, "everyone knows" that the moral of Celeste is that being plural gives you a triple jump. Which she uses to steal the pizza from Matthew after Benbot brings the fight to Celeste Mountain.
  • Spot the Imposter: Florien and Nine Tailed Cat had the same avatars at one point. Nine Tailed Cat used this to create a spot the imposter situation, which got Florien shot in the leg by Florian while Nine Tailed Cat escaped with the Pizza.
  • Super Wheelchair: Fuzzy has his legs cut off in page 97 and gets the super-powered McWheelchair in page 99.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Exaggerated. Everyone wants this one particular pizza so much that they do (often) gratuitously violent things to get it.
  • Trap Master: While Puma initially used whatever tactics he could think of to get the pizza, as the thread went on, he began to gain his own shtick of using cartoonish traps, like explosives, banana peels, and a giant catapult.
  • The Undead: A couple of players come back as ghosts or zombies to chase the pizza from beyond the grave.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: MP gives Libre a slice of pizza to eat before shooting him after the latter violates the Silence Is Golden rule, due to him being a newcomer.
  • Too Hungry to Be Polite: Exaggerated. Tomoe literally kills JKBenbot because she is that enraged by her hunger, "starving to death on her job and angry about it" she exclaims.
  • Unexplained Recovery: Even despite all the wacky ways the other tropers kill each other to get the pizza, they usually reappear just fine and in time to take the pizza. Although, some players choose to adopt new forms, such as ghosts or frogs.
Wm: I mean seriously, my legs were blown off a page ago, and now I can walk again?
